It should prove to be a good holiday weekend in the USA with some precautions lingering on the East Coast.

Some lingering 'rough' surf remains an issue at some East Coast beaches, but, overall the weather in the USA should be good for a holiday weekend.
Labor Day,

There is still some activity near Africa, but, currently nothing that is moving in unison with any of the previous storms.  Earl and Fiona served to cool things down a bit as the sun's direct rays are transitioning south.  I look forward to the report coming from NOAA and NASA and the Hurricane Center regarding this system of storms.  They did a great job.

Earl may pick up some velocity on it way through Canada when it hits open water.

There seem to have been some people lost during the time tides were turbulent.

...Meanwhile, New Jersey authorities have called off a search for a second victim of rough surf caused by Earl and its predecessor Danielle.

High winds and looming rains forced the Coast Guard around midday Friday to suspend a search for 20-year-old Pardip Singh of Carteret, N.J. State police hope to resume the search by boat if conditions improve later in the day.

Singh entered the ocean Thursday night at Belmar, N.J. with a group of people but did not reappear. His disappearance came on the same day authorities recovered the body of 23-year-old Franky Lezin of Asbury Park, N.J. Lezin drowned after entering the roiling waters Tuesday.

Nantucket police chief William Pittman warned island residents against complacency, saying Earl was "still a dangerous storm" with severe winds that could be stronger than those carried by the gusty nor'easters the island is used to absorbing.

The National Hurricane Center reduced the New England areas under a hurricane warning to just Cape Cod and the islands. The rest of the New England coast remained under tropical storm warnings and watches.....

It absolutely boggles my mind to realize how silly people treat their own lives.  These events were nothing but fool - hearty activities that should have never occurred.  They don't listen to common reasoning.  It is amazing how some people consider government to be insignificant in the efforts it puts forth to safeguard life and property.

There will be ecological damage all along the East Coast and that will have to be assessed for erosion, habitat loss and the damage that brings to natural areas (which are vital to tourism) and sand dunes that protect the homes and businesses along the seashore.

In the past administration the federal authorities sought to minimize these events as impacts on the economy.  That is about as stupid as it comes in governing.  Citizens realize the conditions of the troposphere makes for dangerous times in life.  They know these events are short lived and surviving the day is paramount to enjoying the holiday.  MINIMIZING danger in a society adds to its violence tolerance as well.  It is hideous.

Amazingly there are no fatalities in New Zealand. There is a small plane crash. The infrastructure to the country may be damaged.

There is a lot of damage.  Railroads are disabled.  This is from the "New Zealand Herald."

..."This was very similar to the earthquake (click here) that struck Haiti," said Paul Caruso, a geophysicist at the U.S. Geological Survey's National Earthquake Information Center in Golden, Colo. "The main difference is that New Zealand has a lot of experience with earthquakes, and they have good construction codes to make sure that their buildings withstand a strong earthquake."...

This happened on the South Island.  What are they thinking there?  Tourist schedules are more important than prudent safety measures.

Thrill seekers.  Well, it is no thrill now, is it?

...The aircraft, carrying a party of skydivers and tourists, crashed and burst into flames shortly after takeoff from Fox Glacier airport on the west coast of the South Island, police said today.
A police spokesman said five New Zealanders were killed, including the pilot, and individuals from Australia, Ireland, Germany and the UK.
"The embassies of each overseas victim have been informed and relatives are in the process of being advised," he said....

"The New Zealand Herald" is saying; "Like a War Zone" Click title to entry - thank you.

Colin Cross and Danny Knight Bare were on hand to witness the devastation. Photo / Colin Cross

...New Zealand Herald reporter Jarrod Booker told nzherald.co.nz that central Christchurch was "like a war zone," with cars having been crushed by bricks and debris from damaged buildings.
He said the side of one multistorey building had fallen away, and people had gathered to see into its interior.
"It was just a massive noise"
Knee Doherty said she was asleep in her central Christchurch home when the building next door collapsed.
"We didn't even notice the movement as much as the noise," she said.
"The back of the house is pretty much gone. All the house next door is gone.  "It was just this massive noise."...

With houses collapsing while people sleep spells loss of life.  Be prepared.  New Zealand is not a big country and the people there are very close.  This is going to be devastating to them.

I believe New Zealand has soldiers in Afghanistan.  I might be mistaken, but, they are an ally and have been sending troops to support the USA effort.

Australia's government will be the best means of help at this point.

It is alwasys boring when no one dies. There is some significant flooding.

People play in strong ocean waves in Atlantic City, N.J., as Hurricane Earl heads toward the eastern coast.  (click title to entry - thank you)

In a sea of foam people are being this silly.  I don't believe the Governors understand how fool hearty their own citizens are some times.  I strongly recommend always taking the threat to a single life seriously.  This is the kind of disregard and dare-devil attitudes that exist in our society.  When authority makes acts in responsible ways it really does cut down on such 'risk' taking by citizens.  You won't believe what goes on sometimes.  I thank the NC Governor for making the tough decision.  I heard her speak before Earl arrived and she stated, "This is a serious storm and we will take it seriously."  Those words are taken to heart by her citizens.  She did a great job.  Her words saved lives.  I guarantee you they did.  All that has to happen is for someone to be in a car when a road floods and there goes the loss of a life.  There was significant flooding and I guarantee you when the assessments are done the damage to the Outer Banks will be no joke.

"Earl" is turning the sea into foam.

That is about as close to landfall as I have ever seen with a high velocity storm without it happening.  Are the Outer Banks still there?  The storm has been slowed by the front it ran into.  Oklahoma had intense storms yesterday as well.  Even though "Earl" is a Cat 2, it is a tenacious Cat 2 and not to be under-estimated.  It is nearly halfway over land and still churning with more than 100 mph winds.  That is impressive.  It is hot..  The Enhanced Infrared Images from UNISYS are seven hours apart.  And to think Earl could do all this and still have no fatalities reported.  Good job everyone.

It used ot be called a pregnant pause. But, she is a very seasoned politician.

She went into the debate having been coached.  She didn't want to give anyone a 'sound bite' that would reverberate around the internet and she was completely stumped to know how to respond to the issue of headless Mexicans.
She isn't really doing well as a Governor.  She has a shrinking administration base by the virtual fact she allows the tax structure in Arizona to remain at 2 to 2 and a half percent while she is shutting down State parks and other services that increase the unemployment rate and decrease any economic uptick that State Parks and Forests can provide during a tougher economic climate.
She states she has balanced the budget, but, when all one does as a Governor is reduce services while begging the federal government for help with illegal immigration issues that isn't governing that is being a accountant and banker.  It is astounding that Arizonans are so backward in understanding their own needs and providing for them.  She states if the federal government won't do the job of illegal immigration than I will.  Really?  With whom's money, because, the 'judicially edited' edition of the Arizona law is being funded with federal dollars and policed by federal troops.
She has a lot to pause over when in a debate.  Her unemployment rate is 9.7 the Arizona economy is tanking.  The link below shows a very lethargic economy in Arizona into 2011.  Tourism (Leisure and Hospitality) was down over 5% in 2009 and only nearly 'static' in 2010, but, it doesn't have a projection to ever regain those losses in the next five years.  So, Brewer ain't the one to turn the economy of Arizona around even by projections of her own State University.

Gov. Jan Brewer freezes in Arizona desert (click title to entry - thank you)
It's rare to see a politician freeze up during his or her canned debate opening or closing. Politicians typically hone these parts of their debate prep because they don't often get what amounts to a free TV commercial to promote their candidacies.
Which is why it was so remarkable to see video of Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer experiencing a severe case of brain fade as she delivered her opening statement in a broadcast debate that included Democrat Terry Goddard, the state's attorney general.,,,

With the USA no longer occupying Iraq and handing control of its military back to the Generals in Iraq, the focus turns to stabilizing the Middle East.

The peace talks (click title to entry - thank you) is taking on a very promising potential.

Today, Secretary Clinton, is hosting the beginning of the end to violence within the nations of the Middle East.

It never was that the nations were not interested in peace.  It is the extremists that cannot contain their agenda at the cost of citizens' lives that has destabilized any progress to that end.  I very much admired the words of the Israeli Prime Minister when he stated, "...this is not a respite...."

I sincerely believe we will be seeing the end of violence that so dominates productive relationships between Mid-East countries.  Everyone that has been working at this peace are today in Washington, DC.

The King of Jordan and the President of Egypt are there along with familiar partners, Israel and Palestine.

Israel has come to terms with the needs of the people of Gaza.  It is unfortuante 'the image' of hate of the nation of Israel has to continue.  If this video is accurate, so be it.  But, it is 'out there' to influence political outcomes.  This is the time of propaganda that only inhibits peace among the people which has to transend the peace to talks in order for it to be successful.

Will Pawlenty, in his error filled Governorship in Minnesota, be the next GOP Presidential candidate?

Pawlenty's always had ambitions to be President of the USA.  He is not a conservative, so, in order to 'portray' himself as a Right Wing Radical he has decided to be 'outrageous' at the cost of citizens' lives.

I think he needs to be impeached based upon abuse of power.

“Take note, Mitt Romney,” (click title to entry - thank you) the AP writes. “Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty is burnishing his standing among Republican primary voters who overwhelmingly oppose President Barack Obama's health care overhaul. The law is likely to be a central theme in the 2012 presidential race.”...

I really don't care about Pawlenty's ambitons.  He just can't do it at the cost of citizens health care and the well being of families and their children.

Again? How many times to I have to say it? The 'VAT' that was being drilled into is a hiigh content methane VAULT. Knock it off.

Offshore Oil Platform in the Gulf of Mexico Explodes  (click title to entry - thank you)
By CAMPBELL ROBERTSON and JACK HEALY

Published: September 2, 2010

NEW ORLEANS — An offshore oil rig exploded in the Gulf of Mexico on Thursday morning, injuring one worker, the United States Coast Guard said.

The rig was located just west of where another rig leased by BP blew up and sank this spring, killing 11 people and touching off an environmental calamity.

All 13 members of the work crew on board on Thursday were accounted for, the Coast Guard said....

I want to know if this is the oil rig that had the 'oil/methane' seep next to the capped BP well?

I want to know if the capped well is holding up and is being sealed.

I want the companies involved in this incident to immediately be held accountable.

The Moritorium needs to be made permanent.  The petroleum industry does not know how to handle high methane content wells and they never have.  It is impossible.  The USA cannot continue to take risks of this nature for the simple reason of plaquating the Plutocracy.  We need our fisheries back and now how much of THE RECOVERY is compromised AGAIN !!!!

I caution still one more time about the Gulf of Mexico Loop Current.

The "dry air incorporation' by "Earl" is being misinterpreted from what I am hearing. If I may?

Hurricane Earl is noted in the right side of this image.  Let's start by saying, Earl is now a Cat 4.  Who told you?  Hm?  Who told you not to use words like 'down graded' to express a high velocity storm with extremely unpredictable 'nature.'  Who told you?

So, now I am going to tell you more.

The TRADITIONAL DEFINITION OF HURRICANE IS:  a tropical cyclone with winds of 74 miles (119 kilometers) per hour or greater that occurs especially in the western Atlantic, that is usually accompanied by rain, thunder, and lightning, and that sometimes moves into temperate latitudes

THAT definiton is a 'guide post' to what we are looking at in the Atlantic from the East Coast of the USA to the West Coast of Africa.  It is a place to start, but, only a form of reference to understand the 'potential to velocity' by these Climate Crisis storms.

For those that are looking at these storms through 'traditional' eyes you are being deceived.  This is not "Earl" alone, it is however "Earl" manifested from a 'system of water vapor.

September 2, 2010
2330:13z

All I am going to write is not a minor issue.  Life and limb depend on highly accurate understanding of this dynamic and I won't let this go.  I don't want to be looking at dead people come next week.

So, the reason why "Earl" 'fueled up' after diminishing from a Cat 3 is because it has an abundant supply of water vapor.  It is in OSCILLATION with "Fiona" and the Northern Atlantic vortex.  In the Water Vapor Image below it is noted that "Earl" is receiving 'influence' by plantary water vapor trapped in the upper troposphere.

September 2, 2010
1530.13z

It has been noted there was 'dry air' incorporation into Earl.  Earl is not alone.  Earl has a supply of 'heat trapping water vapor' available 24-7.  As I have stated before, the 'water' at the 'surface' of Earth is more and more sparse and has moved vertically in the troposphere and not horizontally.

Hurricanes are 'single' storms under a normal troposphere.  When 'dry air' enters a 'single system' there is an impact on that storm that in turn diminishes it's velocity.  Earl; does not have to suffer those consequences in the year 2010.

The reason the 'dry air' is AVAILABLE is because of the lack of water vapor on Earth's surface.  Earl is running into dry air, but, that air no longer has 'diminishing' dynamics to its 'nature' anymore.  The dry air simply serves as a 'heat engine' to Earl which in turn 'draws in' more water vapor from Fiona and the upper troposphere vortex.  So while 'traditionally' dry air would impact a 'single hurricane' completely 'contained' in its dynamics that is NOT the reality of 2010 Climate Crisis storms.  They really need a new definition because they are NOT 'traditionally thought about' hurricanes.

These storms are 'systems.'  They are in chronic oscillation with a far larger dynamic.

Single hurricanes were never in 'oscillation.'  So, to 'think' about Earl as a hurricane is highly inaccurate.  Earl is in oscillation and therefore cannot be defined through traditional language, be it word or math.

The is a Cat 4 hurricane with highly 'unstable' dynamics.  Because it oscillates with an upper troposphere vortex it extends its longevity and increases its velocity and it increases its ability to cause damage.

In years gone by, scientists believed we would be witnessing Cat 6 storms.  If that was going to occur it would have already.  Earth's water vapor does not have the molecular 'bonding strength' to 'adhere' into a single hurricane at such high velocities as would be experienced by a Cat 6 storm, therefore, Earth's turbulence due to 'trapped heat' has to take on a from other than increased velocity.  We will never see a Cat 6, but, we will see 'chains' of oscillation systems on this planet.

Basically, Earl in oscillation with Fiona is the equivalent of a Cat 6 storm and its potential to do damage.  The combined impacts of these storms can be incredible and it would be as if this was a 'single traditional' Cat 6 hurricane.

We need to be grateful for this potential for Earth's planet systems.  It is a manifestation of a cooling capacity for its gaseous layers, while the oceans heat, which provide a support to 'life' on Earth.  If it weren't for this capacity of 'water' on Earth we would have been lost to our own ignorant fate a long time ago.  I am Earth's biggest cheerleader, but, it sincerely does well without me.

Make no mistake, Earth's systems ability to support life with abandon abuse of its troposphere if finite.  DO NOT misinterpret these words to give permission for CO2 emission or any Greenhouse Gas for that matter with abandon.  All Greenhouse Gases have to be controlled and vastly reduced from where they are now in our troposphere.

The 'worst' of "Floyd" occurred 24 hours before the 'eye' arrived.

This is a picture of "Floyd."

The storm had a radius of 250 miles.  It was a huge storm.  It was carrying a lot of 'heat energy' with the size of the storm.

But, the 'torrential' rains that did most of the flooding started 24 hours before the 'eye' arrived.

The 'edges' of a hurricane is where the water it is carrying, as vapor and otherwise, actually 'hits the ground.'  The center pulls the water up through, but, it then 'deposits' those waters to its periphery.

With "Earl" the periphery will be the dominate effect on the Eaat Coast.  There will be considerable flooding and high winds that will also carry tornadoes.

These STORM SYSTEMS are no joke.  It is going to be bad.

Twenty people died in North Carolina with "Floyd."  Many of the deaths were due to flooding and not high winds.  The peripheral flooding that occurred 24 hours before the 'eye' arrived took many communities by surprise.  There have been many improvements in NC since "Floyd" but we talking about peoples' lives here.  The improvements will help with property damage but there are no guarantees with these unprecedented 'systems.'

Heavy rains cause flooding (click title to entry - thank you) in inland places as well. This picture was taken after Hurricane Floyd drenched parts of the U.S. East Coast with 8 to 16 inches of rain in 1999. (Image: NWS NOAA)

"Get Out of Town" - This is more than a Cat 3 Storm. This is a COMBINATION "Storm System." Unprecedented.

This SYSTEM actually started with "Danielle."  The Atlantic Ocean is already elevated in the path of Danielle.  The system has the potential to deliver far higher tidal surges than is 'usual' for a Cat 3 storm.

This system CANNOT be treated as a Cat 3 and TS "Fiona."  The 'COMBINED' effect of these storms could be far worse than 'veterans of coastal hurricanes' are actually recalling and preparing for.

Wilmington, North Carolina has at least a dangerous hurricane once a decade.  The town is a fortress due to that reality.  However, the 'beach communities' always evacate inland.  But, the 'towns people' of Wilmington pride themselves in 'living through' some of the most dangerous storms known to the USA.  The storms, even "Floyd" were no more than Cat 3 storms when they came ashore.  Wilmington, due to its location on the planet frequently sees a hurricane 'eye' pass over it.

"Earl" may be a Cat 3, but, it is sliding along the coast after a huge hurricane already blew through the Atlantic and is accompanied by a 'sister' storm.  The effects of "Earl" are going to be far worse than even "Floyd."

No one should feel so confident in their insight anywhere along the East Coast of the USA to believe they are an authority on hurricane survival.  This is unprecedented and will cause deaths and property damage that is currently unexpected.

GET THEM OUT OF THERE !!!!!!!!!!!

Find the 'verbiage' that will motivate them.  Please.

Stating the storm has been downgraded is unhelpful.  There is always a chance under this 'hot troposphere' this system could 'share' velocities and even fuel "Earl" back up to a Cat 4 or higher while it remains at sea on a HOT OCEAN.

The Transfer of Power is an indicaiton as to why political opposition to a Muslim Culture is in danger in the USA.

U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates, (click title to entry - thank you) center, arrives at Camp Ramadi in Iraq to visit troops from the 4th Infantry Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, 01 Sep 2010

A contingency of top USA military and civilian leadership is in Iraq today to celebate the end of the particiaption of the USA in any combat operations.

The ceremony is important.  Make no doubt.  Most any military ceremony is an important act.  The military ceremonies of the USA mark specific events that carrys sincere brevity to its purpose and power.

Secretary Gates is closing his tenure in civilian leaderhip of our military next year.  He has served under two Presidents and stayed to protect this country with any expertise he could render during his time in office.  I thank him for that.  He is also leaving with sensitivity to that 'balance' of that expertise.  I hope his methods of transitioning civilian leadership in the Secretary of Defense Office will be a new and permanent tranistion method to forestall any plans by terrorist groups that plan new attacks within the USA during those post election transitions.  It may be a method most nations should examine as a potential to fending off such dangers.

Secretary Gates in his loyalty to his country has openly spoken to the dangers that have opened up to the USA when the Afghan front was abandoned in 2003 to enter a new campaign in Iraq.  He openly has stated moving into Iraq had compromised the Afghan front.  I thank him for that as well.  It is a dialogue that has been missing and much needed both from a military front and civilian understanding of what is important when making this serious decisions within the civilian paradigm.

The Department of Defense should never be a political or economic playground for civilian leadership.  The defense of the USA also insures a place for democracy on Earth.  The cost of entering Iraq was more than economically devastating to the USA, it threatened its national security.  That reality cannot be overlooked today or in history.  Such decisions have to be made with brevity and not as an uptick to a Plutocracy that cares little about the citizens of the USA or as a political rant that 'plays well' among the electorate.  The decision to move into an Iraq front was devious and simply wrong.  It destablized the Afghan front and we are paying for that decision dearly even today.

The deaths and maiming of Iraqi civilians and their outcome was never considered by the previous administration in the decision to move against their disarmed government.  There was no post invasion strategy except for the oil fields and today the nation building remains under attack by an insurgency that has yet to be quelled.  Perhaps this transition will leave no doubt in the Middle East that the USA is no longer the enemy in Iraq among those that see us as occupiers.  Perhaps this transition will mark a change in the Iraq citizenry and their willingness to settle on a government they choose and are willing to support without propagating further violence.

For those in the USA that continue to use this war as a point of political preference and oppose this transition it is easily stated their understanding of sincere civilian leadership is flawed beyond any reasonable definition of it.  The USA does not belong in Iraq and we never did.  It deflected from our national security and today the Afghan front remains a danger and perhaps more so because of the change in front by the Bush/Cheney lead Plutocracy which used any potential for WMD as a driving force to move into oil rich Iraq.

The political front that desires war at any cost over sound civilian policy for our national defense opposes the very same Muslim faith in the USA.  Evidently, it is easier for them to attempt to dominate the Islamic world at any cost even if it means opposing the USA Constitution.

I wish the Iraqi people much success in reclaiming their land and their government.  It is even more clear today than it was at the initial invasion that the country has profound divides according to ethnic populations and cultures.  The dominate three provinces in Iraq being served by the 50,000 USA military to build stability unique to each of them is a good focus and hopefully will be a successful one.  I doubt there will be 'peace' among the provinces soon, but, in time there will be a settling of the economy and the people will make decisions that benefit their security.

Bundles of Cell Phones?

...TSA screeners took a closer look at his checked baggage. It was then that they discovered suspicious items in his bag, a cell phone taped to a Pepto-Bismol bottle, multiple cell phones and watches taped together, and a knife and box cutter, according to another U.S. official who had been briefed on the investigation.
None of the checked items violated U.S. security rules, so TSA allowed al Soofi to fly.
Kip Hawley, the former Transportation Security administrator, said it is not unusual to find items like watches and cell phones bound together on flights to countries like Yemen. He said this would always catch the screener's eye. In 2007, TSA alerted screeners that suspicious items found at U.S. airports may indicate that terrorists were conducting dry runs. Screeners are deliberately on the lookout for such items....

WHY?  Why is it not illegal to bundle cell phones and carry them on flights to countries KNOWN to have problems with terrorist activities?  This is ridiculous.

UNISYS Water Vapor GOES East Satellite (click title for 12 hour loop)

August 31, 2010
1030:14z

This satellite clearly shows a large vortex over the North Atlantic and the current storms off the African coast are connected to that vortex.  The vortex moves by Coriolis, so as much as it moves daily may change the trajectory 'just that much' of the storms.

The vortexes are ionic and have influence on the storms connected to them.  It is a 'single' dynamic.  If the vortex migrates south that effects the direction of the storms and their path.  If it migrates north or east that will effect it as well.

A few years ago there was a hurricane or two that continually slammed the North Carolina coast.  It may have only been a TS.  The point is the damage was considerable because the storm moved so slowly.  That is the same 'wave dynamic' that exists with these series of storms.  Instead of one slow moving storm there is a series of storms moving along the same path.  This time there is more possibility of damage because these are not 'low velocity' storms and the continuous 'wave' of water will be stronger and more severe.  The USA East Coast is not immune to this dynamic.

The North Carolina storm may have been Ophelia.  It was a Cat One and was the same year as Katrina.

Flooding from Hurricane Ophelia.

If the series of storm delivers the wave dynamics I expect there will be a lot more flooding accompanied by wind damage as well.  The after math once the entire 'system' passes won't be this pretty.

Is everyone paying attention to the Gufl as well as Earl and his sister?

This is NewsCorp. Mixed with a reality 'Vote them off the island' attitude and you've got it.

It is a global organization that cannot be called news because a majority of its content is self generated.

While everyone in the nation was reading "The Audacity of Hope" the Bozos that belong to NewsCorp were reading a novel from 1957
named "Atlas Shrugged."

I didn't read it and I won't read, but, for all those circus performers there is movie coming out next year with the same title.

The point is they don't live 'WITH' reality, they demand to shape reality.  That is NOT a news corporation, that is a political organziation with a global reach.  Their goal is to be the only news SOURCE in the world.  They want to put everyone else out of business and if the news organizations that exist continue to compete with these idiots they might succeed.

The point is what does one do if one really wants to know what is going on in the world?

You build your own infrastructure and that is what most of not all the intelligent world is doing.  Heck, there are people that don't even own televisions anymore and get all their information from a web that 'live streams' most everything.

NewsCorp is OLD world, very, very Old World and for the SHEEP that follow along with it because of a 'feel good' felling it is completely laughable.

Murdoch cracks the whip and the world is suppose to respond.  THAT's ethical?  Right.  If Cronkite were the 'ethic standard' for today's news media, Murdoch woiuld have been out of business a long time ago.

Hard to say right now, but, it could be a 'dry run.' I'd be concerned about mimics.

Suspects Ahmed Mohamed Nasser al-Soofi, left, and Hezem Abdullah Thabi al-Murisi, right. (CBS)

I am curious to how long ago he became a resident to the USA.  Within the past nine since a failed 911 attack?

...Sources say one of the men, Ahmed Mohammed Nasser al-Soofi, a 48-year-old Yemnini who has permanent resident status in the United States, had $7,000 in cash and what looked like mock explosive devices in two checked bags, seven cell phones - some of them we're told were taped to empty bottles - and watches taped to shampoo bottles. Al-Soofi, who resides in Detroit, was singled out for a pat down at Birmingham International Airport in Ala. on Sun. His checked baggage had set off an alarm as it was screened. He was allowed to continue on a flight to Chicago O'Hare....

Just for the record, the 'God rant' by Beck is an attempt to 'restore' the Bush fervor before Novermber and beyond.  It is a 'propaganda scheme probably 'born of Rove.'  Doesn't everyone recognize the 'Right Wing Media' proppaganda scheme?  No?  Easy, they first lie and then deny the lie and then become contrite and remorseful.  Don't 'get it yet?'  I really have to explain this?  The Right Wing Media attempts to 'range the scale of emotion' and attract listeners and viewers based on a bonding of one kind or another.  The program doesn't have any rhyme or reason, but, only a following based on what they can attract by HOOK OR BY CROOK.  Sort of like the "Old Tonic Salesman."  The product is suppose to be good for you, but, is mostly all hype.  They are a joke.  There isn't anything serious about the Right Wing Media and if anyone that listens ever expects to 'be connected' to the real world, they are only fooling themselves.  It is an addiction to 'brain chemistry' which works best with 'the adrenalin of hate.'

I wish the 'real media' would 'get smart enough' to ignore the fact they have 'ethics' to live by in recognizing even the most extremists.  The Right Wing isn't serious media.  It is propaganda.  There is nothing credible about them except PERHAPS what might be caught on video tape.  You know, "Believe 50% of what you see and nothing of what you hear."

Good luck.  Professional media should be able to discern Bozos from the 'real thing.'  Just because they are camophlaged and wrapped in Wall Street Journal newsprint doesn't mean it is credible.  I near read the rag anymore.

The Atlantic Ocean's hurricane conveyor belt now appears to be in full gear.  (click title to entry - thank you)
On Monday, another tropical storm, TS Fiona, formed behind Hurricane Earl which formed after TS Danielle.
Danielle is out at sea and not a threat. But Hurricane Earl, with winds clocked at 135 mph, has put many on alert on islands in the Bahamas and the Lesser Antilles, including the Virgin Islands. There are concerns Earl could hit the U.S.'s East Coast, especially North Carolina, later in the week.

The experts predicted it would be an active hurricane season. They were right.

There will be another one after "Fiona."  The Antiles will be unable to recover before they get hit again.  That is unprecedented.

Maybe permanent 'hi ground' shelter, with an understanding for the people that come they will stay until there is an 'all clear.'  This might be awhile and the 'damage in the wake' maybe substantial.

The tidal surges will bearly be receded when it will rise again.  It is possible the storms may 'maintain' a high water line until this subsides.  The storms could conceivably just keep pushing water at those islands.

It is just that the storms are lining up on an unremiting track right now.

It has to do with the alignment of 'direct sun rays.'  As soon as the sun's rays begin to traverse OFF these 'heat/moisture' latitudes, it will abate.

The one after Fiona, assuming it develops into a storm, may traverse into the Caribbean actually.  It will roll over top of those islands.  This is really a bit worrisome.

The reason this is worrisome is because this is such a delayed season with 'high impact' storms in sequence.  The 'heat trapped' in the troposphere is finding resolve in these storms, to some extent, but it is so intense that it is chruning out Cat Four storms, one after another.  There is no way of knowing right now if there will be an abatement of the intensity to the storms BEFORE the sun's rays move further south.  The NASA/NOAA/Hurricane Center records COULD possibly give a 'clue' to the outcome here based on 'heat calorie' records of terrestrial records correlated with Cat Four storm frequency.

It is worth a shot.

Hey the jungles in Africa are holding up great right now.  We'd be 'fried potatoes' without them.  Let's hope they don't give into drought anytime soon.

I love those monkeys, Bonobos and Mountain Gorillas.

Love them !!!!!!!!
