Governor Cuomo is absolutely magnificent in his efforts.

His efforts are beginning to pay off. I am hoping the new applications of medications will perform to expectations, that will bring an entirely new dynamic to the efforts Governor Cuomo is organizing.

Now, there is a dynamic the medical profession has mastered and needs to be applied here and that is delayed admission and early discharge. Remember the silly standard for infant births and mother care? Well, the same principle can be applied here AS PER PHYSICIAN DETERMINATION. Only doctors can admit or discharge, so it is up to them to determine the length of NEED for hospitalization.

Gavin Barrilleaux (click here) of the Louisiana National Guard gets help putting on his protective suit for manning a drive-thru coronavirus testing center Saturday, March 21, 2020, at the Alario Center in Westwego. The site is part of a pilot program with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

COVID-19 has a PATTERN once a person is exposed. That varies somewhat from person to person, but, in the early stages, therapeutics of medication can be ordered while a person is still fairly well. As people become ill and NEED hospitalization their stay will be determined by their progress. Those that progress well will reach a point where they are going to become well again. Those folks can be discharged to OUTPATIENT MONITORING. If for some reason there is a relapse, the patient can then be put back into the hospital.

There needs to be outpatient monitoring from diagnosis to complete wellness. That was complete wellness. In other words, the discharged patient may need to be on quarantine UNTIL they test negative.

Those outpatient units need lower-level but VITAL personnel to MONITOR the patients. It can be performed by home care assistants that report to Case Managers.

Governor Cuomo is correct about the outbreak being densest in the city. Ohio is a good example of that. There are cases in about half the state of Ohio, but, the densest numbers are Columbus and Toledo

We are getting there.

Whatcom County health-care workers and firefighters (click here) have about a week’s supply of masks, gowns, gloves and safety glasses or face shields to protect them and their patients against the new coronavirus, according to a briefing at the Bellingham City Council meeting on Monday night.

But that could change if there’s a surge in new cases, officials said....

Former President Obama is commenting on the pandemic.

...Obama, (click here) who has remained mum on many of the biggest issues to arise during President Donald Trump's time in office, is now routinely posting messages to Twitter — and cross-posting some to his Facebook following — promoting safety measures, explaining the reasoning behind strong new restrictions to combat the virus, and sharing stories he finds inspiring of individuals and organizations that have taken action during the crisis....

I congratulate Minority Leader Schumer for standing his ground and putting "Workers First." I am very pleased the monies are making it's way to the local level of government and the workers that are so very important to our country.

End until later, thank you for your interest.
