Today is the day for former Secretary Clinton to set the public perception straight.

Every cable news station is dedicated to the hearings of the Benghazi Committee. That is amazing. Let's see. I hope the 'social venom' remains reasonable today.

The social venom is starting already. FOX is watching Vice President Biden and that will probably continue through the election because the Veep is supposed to be jaded by Hillary Clinton's success. The hatred of the Democrats by FOX is amazing. Wall Street did exceptionally well under President Obama. Hello?

Secretary Clinton has already spoken to the press. She was gracious and forthright and I would expect that to continue into the committee hearing. Representative Cummings also spoke to the press and the outcomes of the previous hearings has been traced between the government functions and political broadcasts with a singular focus.

There is no correlation between AFRICOM's (click here) response to the Benghazi compound and the events of September 11, 2001.

It has been established there was a surprise element to the Benghazi attack. AFRICOM reacted and was blind to what was occurring. They sent a drone to investigate within minutes to find out what AMERICAN soldiers would face if helicoptered in.

There is no shame here. One of the aspects of commanding an effective military is to know what they are facing. To just send troops for the sake of sending troops is pure foolishness and the morality of the USA would descend on the US military leadership if such an act occurred. The morality of the people is correct and one of the reasons I find the scrutiny of establishing a soldiers departing status so reprehensible. The soldiers come first and every aspect of their status and SAFETY is paramount to this country. That is best and correct. The USA lost people in Benghazi and sending in troops foolishly would have caused more deaths. A command unit cannot simply start shooting and damn every living person without a uniform.

Republican Congressman Trey Gowdy (click here) was trying to remain calm Sunday on CBS’s Face the Nation, but it was obvious he was growing agitated by the repeated questions suggesting the Select Committee on Benghazi he leads is nothing but a partisan sham. Interrupting host John Dickerson, Gowdy’s voice cracked as he argued that two GOP colleagues who have suggested the panel’s work is politically motivated weren’t well-informed about its work.

Dickerson’s next guest, Maryland Congressman Elijah Cummings, couldn’t have offered a more marked contrast to Gowdy’s edgy appearance. With his somber, even-keeled delivery and gravelly baritone, the veteran Democratic politician and one-time litigator has a knack for defusing highly charged debates. Rarely ruffled or knocked off message (except for an infamous incident when his mic was cut off at a House Oversight Committee hearing a few years back, prompting an outburst), the longtime politician has managed to come away from some of Congress’s ugliest food fights of recent years looking like the adult in the room....

Kindly recall, everyone has their own style. Unfortunately Democrats have learned to show emotion is always turned against them. That is the press's fault. If emotion is preferable, then the press stop being punitive.

I am fairly sure Congressman Cummings is looking into ethics violations and rightfully so. These are the monies of the American people used to carry out hearing after hearing after hearing. This is an outrage by the simple fact it is happening. There is nothing preventing any Congressperson to request more information in order to FIND reason to RECONVENE an investigation. All these hearings by the simple fact they existed are ethics violations.

The insults never end. Benghazi is not a political calculation by the Democrats. I would think that is obvious. The Democrats don't have control of the Obama Administration which might be an estranged reality by the right media, but, it is true. There are no puppet strings on President Obama.

...With no obvious constituency ready to support Mr. Biden, (click here) his prospects have been based on the possibility of Mrs. Clinton’s faltering, repeating some of the missteps she has made since declaring her candidacy or falling prey to more damning revelations about her use of a private email server as secretary of state.

But with Mrs. Clinton showing her mettle in Tuesday’s debate, and Democrats increasingly convinced that questions about her emails are little more than a Republican and news media fixation, she suddenly appeared far better positioned to allay skeptics in her party. She is scheduled to testify next week before the congressional panel investigating the attacks on the American consulate in Benghazi, Libya....

I thought all the Democrats were showing their best side as a leader of this country. Joe wasn't there. I also thought the rules for the debate, while agreed to by all of the candidates, was eliminating the words of at least two candidates including former Senator Webb.

The periphery candidates have a difficult time in getting their voice heard and count on the debates to do that. They didn't accomplish that goal and it is sad for the country it didn't happen. The debates aren't WWF, at least they aren't suppose to be.

The methodology where confrontation of individuals is Republican. It is not a priority of the Democrats. The issues are where the Democrats spar. I would expect DETAILS regarding issues would be more important to Democrats. Are the candidates getting it right? Are they invested in the best outcomes? That is what Democrats want to hear.

ie: Senator Sanders has a very dense style based in facts. It is very difficult to trip him up. He learned early on his passions were not reflected in lack of detail.

I don't begrudge the style of the Republican debates. If it works for them and their constituency then fine. Americans are different and appreciate different things. It is easy to point to the fact FAITH is a strong driver for Republicans. That is a personal issue. So, they naturally would seek to find a person with the traits they are looking for. I have no problem with their focus in deciding their candidates. It's fine. Democrats are more worried about the issues and a strong candidate knows the details and the best path forward. It is what it is.

Ask oneself why the documentary is important to the Left? Documentaries are no joke and are valued beyond reason by the Left. There is a very big difference between the two parties in their focus. The General Election is what it is. It's a democracy. The Left loves their filmmakers for many reasons, but, that is not the focus today. Ask FOX how many Lefties turned out for "Avatar?" And FOX knew who their audience was.

I am torn as to what channel to watch and I might settle it by watching C-Span. Have a good day everyone.
