The family of Jessie Jackson, Jr. is correct. He is in treatment. It is up to him to talk to the public.

It's amazing to see senior Democrats (click title to entry - thank you) — particularly white liberal Democrats — breaking bad on the Jacksons of Chicago.

They're pressuring the Jacksons on the whereabouts and condition of U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr., who has been on a mysterious medical leave for more than a month now....

Someone is afraid of the Jesse Jackson family? Where does that idea come from?

...They're no longer afraid of the old man.

If there was one thing that sent a strong tingle of fear up the leg of white liberals — whether politicians or members of the media — it was the worry that the Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr. could call them out, bounce the race card against their forehead and make it stick, for all to see, right between the eyes. It's the kind of thing that could ruin a career....

Since when is rudeness rewarded? I guess since the Republicans decided being rude was the only way Palin might win with McCain or something. Or, maybe, it was when John Kerry was railroaded by a bunch of outlandish attacks against his service in Vietnam. I mean it was Vietnam. What was there to question?

Whatever.

I am curious as to how long Rep. Jackson has suffered from his depression, before or after the Republicans have been intent on ruining his life over Blagojevich? He isn't guilty. He was as a much a victim, if at all, to the former Governor as anyone else.

Confidential information is important, in another word it is called self-esteem and dignity. The Representative has to reflect on his chosen career and decide if he needs time to himself and his family or can recover and return to the House.

Look, it isn't as though the US House has been doing the people's business. That isn't enough to drive others into a depression? I sure is. I am surprised there aren't more Democrats reacting with this depth to the shannigans of the last two years.

I wish he and his family well. They'll come through it. I don't know when they haven't. And the idea Jessie Jackson is someone to fear is outrageous. He has astounding work during his career including returning hostages to the USA. I suppose if one is a hostage taker it might be a good idea to fear him, but, he never obtained freedom of those people with the threat of violence. The media needs to get over this.
