October 18, 2005. 1000 gmt. This is "Wilma." It is huge. The 'eye' is currently a bit diffuse in three separate heat clusters more easily seen in enhanced infrared. The storm reaches from Costa Rica to just north of The Bahamas. The 'heat' concentration above the Bahamas area is the leading vortex system. Here again "Wilma" is an 'eddy' off an Arctic Circle vortex.  Posted by Picasa
