Universities under attack

The etiology of Trump hatred of education finally comes into focus. It is all about money and corruption and bribery. In other words, “…make things as bad as they can get (everyone’s worst nightmare) and extort for millions and billions for the next four years. Make it to be the world’s first trillionaire at the expense of every government on Earth. 

The legal costs of fighting Trump’s bottomless pit of money is ridiculous and a drag on education quality alone.

Tortured Prosecutors

Trump is harassing prosecutors to bring charges against innocent people. The list is getting longer and the Republican Congress is doing nothing.

The FBI isn't the only agency Trump is ruining. He is a national security threat.

This is the worse idea ever to have been conceived for NASA. May I remind that NASA stands for National Aeronautics and Space Administration. The threat from Russia, China and North Korea is so significant there is no way this type of dogmatic workforce reduction serves the national security of the USA.

Trump needs to stop his ranting.

James Comey is a good and decent man. He is a great American who served this country well and kept it safe. He never caused Trump any problems. If any political figure could complain it would be Hillary Clinton when the FBI Director came forward during her campaign for president about an investigation. But, Trump should be grateful for the domestic stability the FBI carried out during his first term as president.

The Russian investigation was very necessary and revealed parties in the U.S.A. who influenced the elections in an attempt to destabilize this country. 

Donald Trump is assaulting too many people with vindictive lies to attempt to ruin careers of political leaders. There just aren’t that many bad leaders in the USA. The latest is Governor Pritzker whom he wants to jail. The list of the accused by Trump is becoming bizarre and obvious in its purpose. 

Trump should be seeking allies in fighting crime with programs that are innovative and that actually have an impact. Setting more and more Americans on the road to unemployment and poverty is not going to reduce crime.

I am happy to hear the former FBI Director is standing up for his leadership all those years he kept us safe. Patrick Fitzgerald is a magnificent attorney who served this country well. It is a relief James Comey has the best of the best at his side. 

Donald needs to realize he is on very shaky ground in all these baseless accusations and is not immune from personal liability. His continued poison pill attacks are too common place to be anything but personal vindictiveness. He is attempting to use this country’s DOJ wrongfully and maliciously.

Why is an Amazon driver carrying a gun?

There is too much pressure in the work environment. American postal workers are required to complete their work without obstruction. The postal workers are responsible for the mail they deliver. I can imagine what it was about in a mailroom where mailboxes were open to deliver the mail. The Amazon driver didn’t have enough time to stand aside while the postal worker was completing his delivery and to relock the mailboxes. But, a gun? What the heck! Amazon does not have to come to my door.

Tigers vs. Mariners

I rarely bother with sports. That has been the case for decades. The violence leading to injuries, etc. simply turned me off. I don’t know how the wagering public makes educated decisions if everything can change in a second as soon as an injury is inflicted. Yes, I think the injuries, regardless the game. is deliberate.

Yesterday I was visiting a real Tigers fan. I watched the game to the end and I was astounded how little baseball was played. It seems as though the way to play baseball these days is to deliver wicked pitches while driving the ball out of the park in a single home run. While that is notable of players allowing them a degree of celebrity, it is not playing ball that I am familiar with from the days of Tom Seaver. 

As the low scoring game raced through the innings, I finally started to see baseball dynamics I recognized when the Tigers began to score. There are three bases, home plate, and when loaded runs with a simple hit up the baseline will result in scoring.

Why would a ball club allow Palmeiro to score a second home run? Look, he had the change up pitch figured out. Jerez, pitch him a four ball pass to put him on first base and strike out those that followed.

“Play ball!” means more than wicked pitching and hitting the ball out of the ballpark. Baseball is about control of the ball to score. That control takes many forms, including walking a player known to have a handle on the change-up pitch and likely to score. If Detroit had denied Palmeiro that second run they would have won with their game rally.

Make it personal.

The federal judicial bench needs to rule that the INDIVIDUALS opposing the judge’s orders are to be held responsible for their criminal behavior. The National Guard personnel continue to take orders from Trump in the face of his law breaking contempt of the federal courts.

Don’t do it.

Trump has a criminal history. What is to understand? The National Guard has taken an oath to the USA Constitution. The Constitution overrides the Executive Branch especially now that there is a huge and obvious criminal element in Washington, DC.

This is not a political paradigm as known as “normal” politics in the USA. This is an executive branch out of control that practice racketeering.

The National Guard and their leadership need to recognize the criminality of the Washington administration and stand down. The Governor’s who are their usual commanders can offer far different orders that uphold the Constitution and defies a criminal network in DC.

Propaganda

The press is letting Johnson get away with propaganda. We know Jefferies is stating the country’s health care is on the line, but, Johnson is simply pointing fingers. Where are the specifics? What is the difference and how do we bridge the gap. The American people can’t go without healthcare, so what are the specifics as Johnson sees it. 

Johnson is also not a legitimate authority for the Senate. I believe Mr. Thune should be stipulating what it will take to provide healthcare for Americans that Senate Democrats can agree with him to end the shutdown.

Oregon National Guard or California National Guard is semantics. Trump is playing fool for his own ego. The federal judge was explicit about not deploying the National Guard into Oregon. It doesn’t matter what state he decides to victimize, he is in contempt of a federal judge’s intentions.

Trade deals contain extorted funds.

Contracts can say anything, but, as to it’s legality is another question. The trade deals Trump is declaring a victory for his administration contain extorted monies he hods exclusive rights to distribute. These monies are not minor amounts. Trump is demanding more than a half a trillion from the Japanese people and not private industry to spend on oil and gas pipelines from Alaska. These are stated to be projects no private investors are interested in pursuing.

These extorted monies are slush funds for oil and gas firms as well as every other Trump political donor. It is all racketeering and highly illegal. The contracts will never hold up at the WTO. The memorandum of understanding can eventually cost the American people trillions when court fights award the monies back to the original countries.

America’s allies already supply generous loans to the USA. The private investment Trump has lost due to his highly bigoted immigration policy and extorted costs of visas is substantial. Foreign investors packed up and went home when Trump’s fascist agenda became obvious.

This has to stop and Congress must act. Ultimately, it is Congress that has to vote for trade contracts the Executive Branch conducts. These contracts are not friendly and extort public funds. They cannot be passed by Congress.

Seeing drug use clearly

Everything but the psychedelics should be legally dispensed by medical SPECIALISTS. 

The psychedelics leans themselves to long term brain disturbance and people become dysfunctional. They also, when used with a therapist lend themselves to mind control through adverse goals. This current administration is a prime example of adverse goals.

Experts are medical doctors with specialities in addiction and pain management. Morphine is already therapeutic. It has to be applied to treating addicts. A lot of times the abuse of drugs are self-medication for other problems. Medical marijuana and CBD are examples. 

Doctors have to be left to be doctors.

The entire idea of blowing up boats ends nothing. There is opium growing everywhere on this planet. For the money it brings, Trump will keep the boat builders working, too.

Republicans are attempting to justify Trump’s domestic hostilities with a falling crime trend that started under Biden. They are seizing on it to blame immigrants. Scapegoat. It is Christian Nationalism at work. Their ideology demands hegemony. They have wanted the power if the USA for longer than Putin had plans.

Trump has 90 days from September 2nd.

There is no other sovereign country engaging in war. It really isn’t a war. The drug cartels are not sovereign countries. They are private industry and Trump is sinking privately owned boats. 

He is also not exhibiting evidence that the boats he is sinking have illegal drugs on board. 

Venezuela’s primary industry is oil. Mexico has a horrible problem with violence because of the cartels. This is not exclusively Venezuela’s problem.

The issue is, can random boats be sunk in suspicion of drug trafficking by a sovereign power? See, until it is obvious the drugs are on the boat and the boat is going to deliver them to the USA shores, it isn’t a crime. That is especially true in international waters. Now, are we going to abandon maritime law and where does that leave us?

These boys have got problems if they always look the other way at instilling hate and fear in a society. Their amygdalas are working overtime. Pea brains. When one is STUCK with chronic amygdala juice there is no engaging the frontal cortex. That is fact. Ask Putin why he is stuck. Hate and fear begets hate and fear. They don’t think. They react. Americans need healthcare.

There are tens of thousands of young Americans with families without healthcare or the means to pay for it because of the draconian firings and layoffs of federal workers by Trump.

The Democrats are their only hope to be protected. The people who accepted buy outs in fear of the future of their federal jobs are not finding other work. There are tens of thousands of Americans seeking work for the same job. 

Musk said of DOGE job cuts permitted by Trump that the workers would simply find work in the private sector. Those are the lies told to them. As these Americans now flood the job market there simply is no success for most of them.

Not just that but there are no jobs being created. Trump’s greed is grossly adverse to the outcome of Americans. The Republicans have signed on to a failing economy with this president while the cost of goods are escalating.

The federal government is being starved of employees. What do Republicans think they are funding, a bunch of hallow offices?

The Republicans don’t care.

Shutting down the government forever is the Republicans’ idea of perfection. They will pack up and leave Washington, DC without remorse. So, attempting to bring them to the negotiating table to protect citizens, while noble, will be fruitless.

Those dedicated to preserving the USA Constitution need to have a plan when the Republicans sabotage the country. What occurred in Quantico should be a clear indication to their intent.

They don’t care. Be prepared to place a new government quorem without them. A new revolutionary government with remaining loyalists of Democrats. 

History will provide a path following abandonment. Trump wants his empire. There has to be plans in place to go forward without the Republicans. An act of conscience will result in time. 

The economy. A general strike. A return of the power of the electorate. Wall Street. The techies. Keep the central core and economic best interests strong to move forward and establish controlling authority. Boston Tea Party and the New Declarations of Independence. Wall Street can’t exist without the federal government. 

Declare victory and a call for elections with an establishment of a 65 percent majority to replace those that abandoned the work they were elected to do. The American people have bills to pay and a military to run. A president is not needed. The legislature can govern. The military will run. 

Abandonment is treason leaving the country without a national defense. Be prepared for the worse scenario.

Trustworthy leadership is at the core.

The military is not about ideological soldier presentation.

The military is about readiness. Women comprise an average of 17.6 percent. We can’t afford to lose that many dedicated and qualified soldiers. This is nuts.

Hegseth is a regressive leader that compromises readiness with his ideology. We have already dealt with this stuff. Moving forward is all that has to occur. 

The USA military is not the good ‘ole boys club. The USA military is a diverse population of highly qualified persons. How well is our military doing? Pretty darn good from where I sit. So what is the monumental problem that has compromised the USA military today?

It seems to me it all boils down to Trump the dictator and his personal preferences. 

IF THE MILITARY WORKS, DON’T FIX IT!

The biggest problem soldiers should have is how often and when they are with their families.

They put their lives on the line every flyin’ day for us. All we need to do is get out of the way!

So far as best I can tell, Hegseth’s great contribution to the readiness of our military is a well stocked grooming kit. Yes? 

Trump/Hegseth want women out of combat

The Generals know their soldiers. Mental health issues manifest during transitions. Some of what seems like a simple transition of duty stations can result in mental health issues, sometimes severe. 

Radical changes in daily living will result in additional complexities to already complex military mental health. 

I don’t see that personal identity in the way soldiers groom themselves should fall under scrutiny so long as they are clean and serving in uniform. There are going to be problems. The grooming issues will result in morale issues.

The Generals and Admirals must maintain order resulting in readiness. I trust them to under the morale of their soldiers and protect them from ridicule. Hegseth wants a dress code, basically. I don’t see individuals going to Leavenworth for five o’clock shadow. 

As far as women in combat? I think the women need to be good and equal partners. For some reason they can’t? The only determining factor on a case by case basis is whether or not the unit is compromised by women or men in combat. If readiness and safety is working, I don’t see a problem.

The complaint by women is about advancing to higher ranks which require combat experience. I thought we moved well past issues of stereotypical ideology.

I never expected this meeting to be publicized. Now, every one who cares from domestic terrorists to every other country on the planet will be creating profiles of the leaders of our country. 

It was one thing to have them all in the same room, but, providing the public with pictures? 

I hope they all enjoy their time in the states and get a chance to visit their families before returning to their responsibilities.

The USA military is not for publication. Did they have to sign permission documents for that picture?

Putin is pushing his luck because he believes the Free World resolve is weak. How many decades have Russian jets played brinkmanship with the Free World? Trump cannot fire the military leadership

These valuable men and women have recourse from a psychotic president that does nothing but spew hate into the country and around the world. Every person Trump assaults verbally with threats and ultimatum have recourse through the tribunals, the criminal courts, the civil courts, and the United Nations including The Hague.

Trump is a human rights violator who is well known to everyone on this planet. He is facilitated by a Republican majority that is as corrupted as he is and grows increasingly corrupted.

NO ONE TREATS THE USA MILITARY LEADERS AS IF THEY ARE NOBODY. 

Trump and Hegseth are cowards and their statements prove it.

Conservatives

One conservative I trust is David Brooks. In a conversation with his liberal friend he stated meaningful conservative dialogue is in the minority in most media he frequents. That may be the case, but, how about addressing those folks caught up impoverished without an interest in reading or somewhat sophisticated conversation? They have their attention captured by tabloids and the WWF. There is that culture that thrives among the impoverished in this country. I don’t mean that as an indictment so much as a frustration.

Uniting the country again under the same reality will require some heavy lifting to bring right wing dialogue, no matter the form, to appreciate the truth without myth or distortion. What I find appalling about the dual truths that exist is that the lies were easily nurtured by the man who was president and is again. This time more toxic than the bleach he queried to its benefits. That is simply not healthy and Americans died within that paradigm because they believed the lies were the truth.

We are still there. Not Covid in its virility as before, but, the lies are still propagated as the truth and the pain instilled by those lies is boiling over. 

In Southport, North Carolina a man in his boat approached people enjoying the shore and fired. That is simply heinous. My thoughts go to those suffering, but, also to my own family who have been married in the public park that is by the waterway. The ceremony had a beautiful day and was completely lovely. What are they thinking and feeling with blood splashing on the shoreline where they once celebrated?

The level of contemptible violence is taking an uptick since summer is turning into autumn. What, if anything, is being done to end the hatred and reward the truth with an embrace by those estranged from it? Nothing? We are left to wallow in misery forever?

People of different belief and persuasions need to get along otherwise the powers that be will see us at each other’s throats. This time though. It won’t be a fight over the economics of slavery. It will be about who lives the truth and who is its enemy.

The man that attacked the Mormons…

…inside their own religious sanctuary is waging a war. There is a lot wrong with that attack, but, he wasn’t crazy; he was however crazed.

Where did he even get the explosives to create IEDs? Granted the crazed people that kill Americans find a way to build bombs no different than the Boston bombers. But, the ingredients to most IEDs should be out of reach both in the substances available and the amounts allowed to be purchased by a given person. 

That sanctuary went up in flames in minutes. 

The murderer had to have surveyed the grounds and sanctuary in order to kill and destroy the way he did. Suspicious people need to be noted, photographed, and reported to authorities without second guessing that decision. The police rather know what is transpiring to look into elements of fear than to pick up the pieces afterwards.

“See something, say something.”

Fear is not a good commodity in any community. Police do care. That’s their job.

Brendan Carr is directly responsible for the dual reality in media broadcasts in this country.

He needs to be replaced. He wrote a chapter on the FCC in Project 2025. He is placing every American’s life in danger for even allowing the hate speech coming from the Oval Office demonizing those that find Trump inconsistent with our country’s values. 

This might come as a surprise but Trump is not allowed to use the presidency to foment hate causing disruption of domestic peace. It is in his oath of office. Brendan Carr is in violation of his oath of office in (1) looking the other way, (2) providing a hate filled platform to inspire violence not just by Trump but also by right wing media.

ATF established the evidence of IEDs at the mass murder at Grand Blanc, Michigan. How did that man know how to make IEDs? Did he create those bombs? 

This is not us. This level of violence is not the USA.

There is a huge issue here. Governor Whitmer  touched on it. The people qualified to investigate the tragedy has to compose the facts in reports and the public has to accept that without septics and inflammatory stories. 

It occurred to me there is a huge alternate reality in the USA. It has been created for political purposes to CONTROL the hearts and minds of people. That alternate reality must stop. It is creating huge problems that are out of control. The people wielding this violence believe in their missions and it is all based on a lie.

How are those of us that live with the truth and in the world of reality supposed to defend from an alternate reality? It isn’t possible.

It appears the National Guard as police officers are racial profiling a food delivery person. How many safety violations did these neighbors and friends make? 

Hint: None of it is good police conduct. They were basically ordered to take anyone into custody that looks like an immigrant according to Nome’s “white man” standard.

Paring down the military

What do you think will happen when this group of generals are gone per Trump’s plans and new ones are brought in? A lot of adverse outcomes. It takes time to build expertise in military operations. Just imagine for one minute being captain of a nuclear power submarine that is part of the USA Triad.

What happens when in this rotation Lieutenants become generals? The expertise of the military diminishes further and further as the officers become younger and younger. What happens when the top brass are all millennials with little recognition of the enemy such as Putin’s Cold War? 

There is a learning curve and I am not just talking about book learning. There is a learning curve to know your enemy and their tactics. How much danger are your enlisted men in when the top brass has about as much knowledge about the enemy as them? 

How is recruitment going? We all know the current status of the military is a volunteer force that wants to be there. What happens when enlisted people begin to realize under this DOD there is no career in the military in 20 years of service? What happens when recruitment numbers fall to very low levels? What are the preferences of Republicans when it comes to to recruitment? Do they prefer it or do they rather a mandatory service of all Americans? 

Republicans want to raise every child in this country. Mothers are baby machines with little nurturing ability. Children aren’t really children soaking up a public education, they are youngins. They need a full course of military service out of high school in order to be a good American.

So what are the goals of the Trump White House for the greatest military in the world? A military with mandatory service for two years with minimal leadership, artificial intelligence as the Joint Chiefs, with no more 20 years retirement. As a matter of fact once Hegseth has completely dummied down the military the only soldier will be robots as they are the most reliable that take orders without question and never ask for a pay raise. Forget about the health care. 

Republican ideology about anything is demented as Trump. Trump has had a stroke. He has also had a heart attack. Trump’s ideologies are as misguided as his business ventures. Do we want our military to fail? Then throw the numbs out and make the Republican majority in Congress do their jobs. Currently, House and Senate leaders have forgotten how to negotiate. It isn’t as though the Democrats have forgotten and are seeking noble changes to the continuing resolution; it’s just that no one else is sitting down to get the job done. 

What is the answer to this? 

Think about it.

Stop playing online gambling.

Instead feel good about where your money will do the greatest good.

Give the money to your candidates runnng for office.

I don’t see a vandalized drop box for reason to call a national emergency. Such an action can be handled through published reports in the media as well as letters by the local authorities to the electorate. Affected voters can be provided provisional ballots to be determined if they are duplicate in this incident. This is not a national emergency. It is a prosecutable offense.
