Hopefully the truth is on the move.

I did say hopefully. It will be an issue if the members of the Snyder administration attempt to lie about it's involvement in the poisoning of the people of Flint. I am sure they have huddled about Flint more than once to "get their storeis straight."

October 13, 2020

Speculation (click here) is mounting that a grand jury has been tapped to consider potential charges in the Flint water case, as The Detroit News reports Dave Murray, a former spokesman for Gov. Rick Snyder, made a lengthy visit to the Genesee County Courthouse Tuesday.

Murray was one of Snyder's closest advisers in the wake of the Flint water crisis. His lawyer would not answer questions about why he was at the court in Flint. A spokesperson for state Attorney General Dana Nessel would not confirm whether a grand jury had been convened.

Prosecutors have been mum on the status of the case since mid-April, when they said criminal charges were still coming. The initial probe that brought stiff charges against top Snyder officials was scrapped and restarted last year by Nessel. She said a special prosecution team tapped by her predecessor, Bill Schuette, botched its investigation.

A well thought out plan.

Farmers are very smart businesspersons. I first saw this a couple of days ago and waited to hear how it was photoshopped or something. Evidently, it is for real.

A farm this size cannot register a series of large losses. Mr. Larson is right he needed to rethink his best interests. I wish the farming community would realize it is the Democrats that fight hardest for them. It is usually a Democrat that comes to the press to say the farm bill is stalled in Congress.

I love it. It is a great expression of resolve.

...He etched out their last names on a loose piece of paper he carried with him in his tractor until he decided to go through with it.

“I’m sitting out there for hours, and I got to thinking, ‘you know, I could make a nice sign out here I betcha,’” he says in a recent interview with The Independent. “I had taken a little piece of note paper — I didn’t take a Biden and Harris sign, just found the logo online — and made a little sketch. When I finished doing my business up there, I made these little signs.”

To be clear, the signs are anything but small.

Larson says the Biden-Harris sign stretches ten acres. He also made one for the state’s Democratic gubernatorial and lieutenant governor candidates, Dr Shelley Lenz and Ben Vig. He used a grid based on old tracks left in the fields from the last time he worked on the area, and simply got to work on his vision....

...Larson (click here) says the president’s trade wars with China have resulted in steep losses in revenue for his farm, calling Trump’s promise that China would end up taking the economic hit instead of America’s farmers and ranchers a “bold-faced lie.”

“It’s cost a lot of money,” he says. “I’ve paid check-off money — tens of thousands of dollars for forty years. A big share of that money goes to trade missions: Setting up trade relationships, inviting trading partners over here to see our product. Trump got into office and he flushed that all down the toilet in two months.”...

Third debate

Somehow SARS-CoV-2 has reached into the Harris campaign. To be absolutely confident in the candidates’ safety in the third presidential debate between Biden and Trump a virtual venue should be mandated.

The Biden and Harris campaign need to reassess their safety regulations. No more contamination. Biden and Harris have been personally vigilant. No excuses for any staff member.

The offices, the cars and any other hardware must be terminally cleaned and the staff given physical exams and SARS-CoV-2 test for the Harris Campaign, No slip ups including the venues she enters. No conversations with random people. Tighten it up.

DO NOT ENTER THE WHITE HOUSE!

That historic building will have to be given a vacation between presidents. It needs to be cleaned with a mist of ingredients to permeate EVERY CRACK of which there are many. The White House may have to be freshly plastered and sparkled. Insect and any critter will have to be found, the nests cleaned out and given a new home far from Washington, DC. Seriously. They are vectors.

No leaf unturned. That includes outdoor venues. I think the Rose Garden should be ripped out by the roots and concrete removed to be on the safe side. It needs a historic return anyway.

Concrete is carbon. Questions?

The lawns will have to be treated before the Easter Bunny returns.

DOJ

Joe Biden’s answer about what his DOJ would do should be a HUGE relief to the country as compared to the personal retaliative demands by Trump. The country would actually benefitting from a real DOJ that is not used for attack dogs.

I really don’t care what Trump said. Who wants to hear nothing but lies.

Administration of antibodies is not new. There is another company called QUANSYS has a Human iGg 4 plex specifically to combat SARS-Cov-2.

One pint of blood is broken down into different components to RBC (Red Blood Cells), plasma (FFP also called Fresh Frozen Plasma) is used in liver disease and iGg or white blood cell components. RBCs are RBCs. White blood cells are far more complex in its components. iGg has been around for as long as medical research looked through a 10X microscope. The science being tapped to fight the global pandemic are long lived rock solid methods. There is at least one exception to that with Moderna and their highly specialized investigation into mRNA.

Moderna is not looked to as in favor by the financial markets. I don’t understand that. This company has been very successful in treating human disease. I am hopeful their vaccine will be stable and successful. I haven’t heard about their trials having problems. They are working with genetics. So is the virus.

The so called Hunter Biden laptop...

...is an unsecured laptop that was manipulated. There really isn’t much to say when a third part is involved.

US intelligence was expecting this level of deception to attempt to manipulate the election. I take it the Russians still haven’t found the 30,000 emails, too.

This is such a lie. Shame on everyone.

US intelligence was alerted to a Russian hack into Burisma back in January. The laptop is a creation from Moscow.

The New York Times reported on the crime. Unfortunately, the American public was exposed to the Russian crime before it could be stopped.

The awareness of the hacked and forged Burisma emails extends back by at least one month. The hacking of Burisma by the Russian military began November 2019. They weren’t successful until two months later. Once hacked emails were produced and made to appear the Vice President was involved in an illegal act.

Hunter Biden is the victim along with his father because Joe Biden is tough on Russian criminals.

It was an attempt by Russia to enter the word “email” into the contest for president. Russia was also expecting Bill Barr to enter the fray to ensure Trumps victory. I guess Barr was waiting for it along with the rest of the US intelligence agencies.

The USA is NOT communist RUSSIA, Vladimir. No ballot stuffing either!

Trump supporters are activist spreaders, wear masks and demand social distancing!

The house needed a plumber to fix a slow drain. It worked out that the garbage disposal needed to be replaced.

The plumbing crew composed a young man and an old man. Neither were wearing masks when my mother answered the door. I was at the other end of the house. After 10 minutes I came to the kitchen and they had begun work. The old man was talking to my 85 year old mother up close and talking to her about her age and how he is interested in dating.

I demanded they immediately place masks on as I was wearing one and handed one to my mother. The old man stated he and his partner never wear masks and see no reason to change now. I offered them extra masks kept in the house, but, they refused. I told them they couldn’t finish the work, I would pay them their minimal charge and I would find someone else.

It is my opinion the old man, conveniently named Don, was having his own COVID-19 party and was an activist attempting to give an 85 year old woman the virus by chance he was a silent spreader.

If workpersons of any capacity won’t follow the rules for avoiding SARS-CoV-2 and won’t verbalize that over the phone, don’t hire them as they most probably are activists for herd immunity in both their private and professional lives.

Please be assertive to obeying social demands for anyone entering a home. He absolutely terrified me.

Polar opposites

Late Justice Ruth Badar Ginsburg has been a guiding light for her years on the Supreme Court. She never put off a decision asked of her of complex issues such as the global climate crisis.

The global climate crisis is not controversial. Coney-Barrett’s statement about the controversial climate crisis absolutely proves she is a political appointee. There is no doubt she is seeing the USA through a right wing political agenda. That answer told on her. She is unwilling or unable to remain objective in her decisions. That is what The Federalist Society is counting on for their flagship nation.

She cared and wanted to reassure the American people they always were important. From the testimony of Coney-Barrett it has never been more clear Justice Ginsburg was a paragon, perfect, dedicated and a rare find by Former President Clinton.

Coney-Barrett

Senator Amy Klobuchar has established Judge Coney-Barrett  courted Trump for a seat on the US Supreme Court through published material matching Trump’s public commentary. This is a strategy that works with Trump. A very similar track was employed by Bill Barr for his seat as AG.

It is called corruption. I understand the much anticipated DOJ report leading to indictment of previous DOJ leaders has resolved and rejected the Trump/Barr ideology and their banana republic. I believe Trump and Barr have left the door wide open to be sued for defamation and abuse of power they found in their offices.

And this is nonsense.

A conservative watchdog group (click here) filed an FEC complaint on Tuesday asking for an investigation into Democratic candidate Cal Cunningham's March trip to California that used campaign funds after revelations of his extramarital affair.

The affair didn't begin until months later. This has no bearing on anything and just more desperate defamation of a really decent man who loves this country.

And, of course, the first media organization to carry this trash is FOX News.

Americans should be demanding legislation that requires all elected officials to submit ALL their phone logs to the public at least every six months. It is the right of the public to know how their elected officials are spending their time and their salary.

Cal Cunningham may want to offer to pay for his trip to California IF IT WAS NOT COMPLETELY FOR THE SAKE OF HIS ELECTION. It will remove all doubt to the voters that he is interested in THEIR COMFORT with their choice.

Good luck.

There is something Americans have learned over the past four years....

...that they don't want tabloid politics to continue to allow the corrupt to indecently rob them of their rights and best interest.

No one knows how this election will turn out, but, Cal Cunningham is a hero. He put his life on the line for this country. He matters. It is unfortunate a woman from Califorinia estranged from her disabled husband has decided this was the time to have an affair with the once candidate North Carolina can hold up as a man who actually does care about them.

Corruption is no small matter and the Republicans seem to like to partake of it over and over while ignoring their real job in taking care of the American people and their country. I have to wonder what Tillis's phone calls look like over the past six years. I am fairly confident he spent his time making those calls to people with money and voting the promises he made for that money.

The USA has had enough of tabloid politics because the alternative is really scandalous.

I wish Mr. and Mrs. Tillis success in their marriage. I hope everything works out for both parties involved in these circumstances. I think there is a woman and a disabled veteran that need to look to their future together and hopefully return to the love that first brought them together.

Cal Cunningham has widened his lead (click here) over Sen. Thom Tillis (R) in North Carolina's marquee Senate race after revelations over an extramarital affair threatened to derail the Democrat's candidacy.

Cunningham led Tillis, who is running for a second term, by a 48 to 44 percent margin among registered voters in a new Monmouth University poll released Tuesday. The former state senator’s lead grows to 5 points among likely voters in a high-turnout scenario, 49 to 44 percent, while his lead shrinks to 1 point, 48 to 47 percent, in a low-turnout scenario.

Despite the news of Cunningham’s affair, the Democrat’s lead grew from the same poll from September, which was released before the scandal hit and showed Cunningham with a slimmer 1-point lead over Tillis among registered voters....

...Early on I had two bouts of unexplained vaginal bleeding. Medically, these frightening episodes are referred to as “threatened abortions.” They both occurred while I was at work, and because I had to leave my post for the E.R., I was subsequently fired. Losing my job meant not only losing my income, but also my health insurance. At a time when I was already terrified of losing my baby, my now-former employer only made my fears worse.

Still, my boyfriend and I got married, then moved into a new apartment with room for a nursery, and assumed our happy little family might yet work out. Months later, though, I would go into preterm labor and give birth to my baby girl. Margaret Hope was only 22 weeks, tiny and fragile, and weighing just under a pound. Eight hours later, she was gone. I never even got to see her face while she was alive.

For months afterward I tried to make sense of the tragedy, and did everything I could to survive it....

Senator Gary Peters and his wife were in a difficult and danger place with that pregnancy.

It’s remarkable (click here) to see the improvements in maternal health around the globe, which have produced a steady decline in the number of women dying from childbirth over the last 30 years. But in the United States, there is rain on the parade. Its maternal-mortality rate has been steadily rising — the only developed country whose is. Given that women with employer-sponsored health insurance account for over half of the annual pregnancies in the United States, employers are in a position to demand higher quality care. In this article, we recommend actions they can take by wielding their purchasing power.

The U.S. maternal mortality rate has more than doubled from 10.3 per 100,000 live births in 1991 to 23.8 in 2014. Over 700 women a year die of complications related to pregnancy each year in the United States, and two-thirds of those deaths are preventable. Fifty thousand women suffer from life-threatening complications of pregnancy. A report from the Commonwealth Fund released in December found American women have the greatest risk of dying from pregnancy complications among 11 high-income countries....

The Peters' fetus was going to be aborted eventually when the placenta's protective environment gave way. And after a couple of days, Ms. Peters was very susceptible to infection that would have killed both she and the fetus. Pregnancy is very vascular. The placenta is attached directly to the uterine wall. There is an exchange of fluids through the organ known as the placenta.

The placenta's rupture ended the idea that everything was going well. Mrs. Peters was definitely in danger from this pregnancy and if she became infected the real possibility of contracting a bacterial infection directly into her bloodstream through the placenta would have occurred. She would have been taken over by septic shock and that has a high percentage of death.

I think it was completely negligent of the hospital to enforce an antiquated prohibition of abortion. These are some of the problems with being a woman in the USA, mothers die from pregnancy when women don't have a medical society dedicated to a Mother's life.

The profession that helps bring Americans safely into the world worries about the cost of malpractice insurance. Well. I guess so.

It is time for the physicians and surgeons that practice in maternal/child health in the USA to overhaul their PRACTICE and establish new standards that their European peers see as necessary. There are places of practice that can improve and should be improved, but, the professionals have to address it. Legislators can help when necessary, but, the actual hands-on practice itself has to be reformed from within the specialty itself.

The real path to lower malpractice rates is to actually not need it because of better statistics and better practice with superior patient outcomes. It is time to get real about what is in the OB/GYN toolbox to protect every woman's life.

In the late 1980s, (click here) Sen. Gary Peters’s wife at the time, Heidi, was four months pregnant when her water broke, leaving the baby with no chance of survival. The hospital in Detroit wouldn’t allow Heidi’s doctor to perform an abortion, so the physician told them to go home and wait for a miscarriage.

“The mental anguish someone goes through is intense,” Peters, a Michigan Democrat, said in an interview with Elle magazine published on Monday, “trying to have a miscarriage for a child that was wanted.”

But the situation became more critical when Heidi’s health deteriorated, so the couple found a doctor at another hospital who agreed to do the procedure.

In the interview, Peters spoke publicly for the first time about the abortion and the troubling moments leading up to the event, which threatened the life of his ex-wife. Peters joins a small group of members of Congress who have spoken about their personal experiences with abortion....

I was just reading a UK review of ACTT-1 trial of remdesivir.

It is having its greatest impact on lesser sick patients. Patients that are ill and on supplemental oxygen find the best result.

Okay. So, the patients that are very sick and on ventilators are still receiving dexamethasone as their best friend in this pandemic. The remdesivir is still being administered to these patients.

Dexamethosone is proven to be a huge benefit to all patients.

These are my initial thoughts about this review I read in the dialogue called "The CONVERSATION."

I think patients have to be treated very early in the disease process. The earlier the infection and showing symptoms is the time to begin both these medications. Now, there is no discussion of the Regeneron REGN-Cov2 Antibody Cocktail (click here). That can be emergently approved by the FDA and perhaps it should. But, this article discusses a UK finding about remdesivir. I think it's greatest message is to administer remdesivir as early as possible for people that test positive and are having symptoms.

The problem with that proposal is the expense and availability of remdesivir. If the financial markets want consistent and plenty of profit, they need to invest in GILEAD and in particular their product VEKLURY (the registered trademark) redesivir. PLEASE invest in the production of this medication. It is helpful in fighting this virus and no one disagrees with that fact.

The results of the ACTT-1 trial, (click here) which looked at the effectiveness of remdesivir as a treatment for COVID-19, have finally been published. So far the only drug that has been shown to reduce deaths from the disease has been dexamethasone, a steroid that suppresses the immune system through its anti-inflammatory effects. Steroids have a secondary effect on the disease – they don’t target the virus itself. Remdesivir, on the other hand, goes straight to the cause of the disease by inhibiting the virus....

...They found that patients receiving the drug improved and recovered more quickly, were less likely to progress to severe disease, were discharged from hospital sooner, and had a lower death rate of 11.4% compared with 15.2% in patients receiving “usual” treatment....

Why do I believe early administration to a person with a positive SARS-CoV-2 and showing symptoms is when this medication needs to start? It is a viral load. I haven't seen the study directly, but, I am confident there are blood tests in that trial and there are viral load recorded. THERE IS AN OPTIMAL VIRAL LOAD that remdesivir can vanquish with the body's help and dexamethasone as a companion treatment.

It only makes sense. Remdesivir attacks the virus. There is a maximum does that the human body can tolerate. So, the higher the viral load will demand MORE DAYS to be effective opposed to a lower viral load and the dosage tolerable will have a greater impact.

Remdesivir works against this virus. It is vital to determine it's most effective dosage and it's optimal time in the infection to begin and sustain administration to remove this virus from a person's body. There has to be an independent decision about children, but, it is vital it is determined.

Children need their own testing tool because at this point the adult testing places them into treatment at the point where they have a heavy viral load in a small person. Children must be tested at a point where the virus is at an early point in it's invasion of the child's body. The adult tests are ineffective and only identity a viral load too late in children.

If remdesivir is to help children maximally, early detection is vital and early administration begun early in their infection to avoid the inflammatory disease. That inflammatory disease in children causes tissue damage they will have for the rest of their lives. We need to concentrate on a vital child test that works for all ages even infancy to find when they are infected and begin treatment in measured amounts of medication to end the virus attack on them.

Observations I have made about families with young children is that the adults are oblivious to the danger their infants can face. The parents are walking with strollers. The adults and older children are wearing masks, but, the infant in the stroller is completely exposed. The family focus must be a great concern and more education carried out to end the neglect of the babies and toddlers to their danger from this virus.

I congratulate all those so very diligent in finding treatments and vaccines. They are unsung heroes alongside of the front line workers. They are also the best friends to the front line workers to end the virus as soon as possible, optomize the patients ability to fight back and provide faster recovery to a negative testing status after treatment.

Best to all and thank you so very, very much for keeping both oars in the water.

She was in tuned to the country and ready to act on the first day. She should have been president.

Implicit Bias was a concern of Hillary Clinton. Now, look at what we have, White Supremacist/Nationalists standing down and standing by. We would not have minority deaths or protests in our streets.

New Zealand has 22 deaths. Just 22. They had one set back and is considered recovered from it.

The first time New Zealand (click here) thought it had eliminated the coronavirus from its isolated shores, a mysterious outbreak in its largest city shattered any sense of victory over a tenacious foe.

Now, after a second round of strict lockdown, the country believes — if a bit more tentatively this time — that it has effectively stamped out the virus once again.

On Wednesday, New Zealand moved to lift the last of its restrictions in Auckland after 10 days with no new cases linked to a cluster that first surfaced in August. The government will now allow unrestricted gatherings, and trips on public transit without social distancing or masks, in the city of 1.6 million people.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, who is facing re-election next week, called the reopening a validation of the country’s “go hard, go early” response. The strategy is aimed at eradicating the virus with a swift science-based policy, one that trades weeks of lockdown and sacrifice for an emergence to full economic activity....

They call it "Go hard and go early." It is the only reasonable response to SARS-CoV-2. By lenient policy of the Trump White House, it is dooming the USA to chronic illness and premature death, poor economics due to chronic illness and losses in qualified workers, and isolation in a world interested in eliminating the virus.

New Zealand closes it's borders and shut down its interior. As the outbreaks are contained within a short period of time by days or the longest, weeks, the country reopens.

It isn't a great global environment for the financial markets. The Federal Reserve has the greatest input with the markets. There was never a guarantee to any private endeavor that elation at profits will be showered over them forever. The fact the USA has been grossly mismanaged by Trump and the Republican Governors there is absolutely no clear vision for the future, EXCEPT, there is a need to end the virus permanently.

...“Go hard and go early” (click here) was New Zealand’s motto, and combined with strict border controls and high compliance with lockdown measures from “the team of 5 million” it seemed to have worked. Until now.

“I was gutted obviously. We had reached 100 days so it does feel like a kick in the teeth,” said Dr Siousxie Wiles, a British microbiologist and science communicator who lives in Auckland, a city of 1.5 million.

“But we know that with people coming in there is the chance this would happen.”

Wiles praised the government’s resurgence strategy as “absolutely spot-on” and said it had shown an impressive ability to adapt and move swiftly through alert levels.

“They have been very fast and very transparent. The speed which they moved people up the alert levels really frightened people, but this is the way to do it. What we will see now is: how quickly can you stamp out an outbreak?”...

The IMF is assessing the response by each country and offering its assessment about the coming year. The views of the future definitely rely on the effectiveness of "COVID-19 strategies." Weeks of closure is a blip, not a terminal response to any economy.

...The IMF (click here) estimated Tuesday that the global economy will shrink 4.4% for 2020. That would be the worst annual plunge since the Great Depression of the 1930s. By comparison, the international economy contracted by a far smaller 0.1% after the devastating 2008 financial crisis....

Detroit - The suspects accused of plotting (click here) to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer also talked about "taking" Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam out of anger about the leader's lockdown order during the COVID-19 pandemic, an FBI agent testified Tuesday.

Special FBI agent Richard Trask disclosed this detail during a preliminary examination in U.S. District Court in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where five suspects have bond hearings scheduled for Tuesday to determine if they should be released or remain jailed pending the outcomes of their cases.

Prior to the bond hearings, Trask outlined the FBI's case against the men, alleging they are part of a larger group of self-titled militia members from multiple states who met online earlier this year and discussed attacking government officials....

Ted Cruz is making empty arguments.

The practice of medicine has become sophisticated to either induce or perform a caesarian section on a viable fetus. Viable fetuses have been whisked to the Neonatal Intensive Care Units out of abortion clinics already.

Democrats are on record as being opposed to Dark Money.

Joe Biden is receiving donations from normally Republican donors is because the Republican Party has been completely irresponsible to our democracy and left Trump in office in the face of danger to the country.

The Second Amendment would need an amendment process whereby two-thirds of the Senate and US House and the people in order to remove the Second Amendment. The same thing is true about selling the US Post Office to a private company. Trump is not allowed to sell the USPS as Snyder did with assets of Michigan cities. It isn't easy to undo the amendments so all the drama is unnecessary.

Not one question to the judge yet. He is making a stump speech to keep Texas from turning Blue.

January 21, 2020 (click here) will mark a decade since the Supreme Court’s ruling in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission, a controversial decision that reversed century-old campaign finance restrictions and enabled corporations and other outside groups to spend unlimited funds on elections.

While wealthy donors, corporations, and special interest groups have long had an outsized influence in elections, that sway has dramatically expanded since the Citizens United decision, with negative repercussions for American democracy and the fight against political corruption....

Disclosures

Coney-Barrett only yesterday disclosed her relationships with activists and their organizations who oppose abortion. That has to effect her standing as a current judge in the seventh appellant court. She never completely disclosed. She lied under oath.

She obviously has a hidden agenda. She never stopped affiliating with those groups even after she took a place on the 7th Appellant Court. She intends to deceive about her positions to conceal any objectionable idea.

She took the chance of disclosing this time because it is the end of the road for her. The Supreme Court is her goal to spread her particular politics no different than Thomas or Alito.

She also see herself being confirmed by a corrupt Republican Senate. She has no fear. Being covert is no longer a "safe" strategy. Being covert would be a danger to her position in the Supreme Court. It would be such a shame to have come all this way and not achieve her tightly held and silent goals.

Her covert status in her plans has nothing to do with religion. She lied to protect her plans for whatever reason she has been covert. Making plans to undermine stare decisis and due process is no small plan.

Due Process is what sets the USA apart as a government that enforces fairness and balance to it's Rule of Law.

I might add, the extremist right plans to execute women that have abortions. What a hideous reality and completely in opposition to each other morally. Prolife’s anti-abortion stand is in complete moral opposition to the death sentence.

Did it hurt, Dr. Fauci?

I was hurt to hear that you were disappointed by the use of your name and reputation in an ad by the Trump campaign and it was manipulated when taken out of context.

If Dr. Fauci was emotionally hurt by this he should say so. Being disappointed is something most Americans try to get over. Being hurt is more permanent and long lasting. Americans understand being hurt and that is not allowed.

I sincerely apologize for the reckless use of Dr. Fauci’s name without permission. He is loved by this country. The country trusts him. That will never change. I am sorry this happened to him.
