"Single Payer" is the only method to bring down and control health care costs. After the Affordable Care Act was passed and health care insurance companies, hospitals and doctors were provided more patients with far better care possible. A health care system that allows physicians and surgeons the opportunity to see their patients healthier with better longevity with a new health care insurance; as it worked out it wasn't enough.

Physicians assisted their patients in California to purchase insurance on the exchanges rather than accepting the Medicaid they already had. Then with all those sicker patients on the exchanges the insurance rates went up because of the infusion of chronic health conditions.

The country learned while physicians and major hospitals were advocates for their patients to pass the ACA, it turned into a place to be exploited with increasing health care costs. It wasn't enough the physicians, surgeons and hospitals had less patients coming to the ER when all they needed was a doctor's office; they had to take it further and increase the cost of health care.

The ONLY way to stop this hideous "capitalism based" health care is to issue "Medicare for All" and rein in the costs and allow reasonable profits to health care systems that are suppose to be non-profits.

It is about the costs. The costs of American health care is out of control. We tried it their way and they bank rolled a system that was to be ethical and compassionate. Enough.

0.09 President-Elect Donald Trump "We'll get your taxes down, don't worry."

Tax cuts are not possible. There is far to many people left homeless in this hurricane season so far. There is devastation throughout the south. There is no possibility to cut taxes.

What has occurred in the south may very well be only the beginning.

I don't think so. If President Donald Trump wants his increase in GDP, it needs to be a reduction in Middle Class taxes. Considering there are many tonight without jobs and homes, it makes sense to relieve their burden. President Obama turned to the Middle Class in cutting their SSI taxes when recovering a crashed global economy. We know it works. No reason to do anything else.

COMPUTER MODELS ARE NOT CLIMATOLOGISTS!

Are you for real? Computer models?

The climate crisis is not a political issue.

There was a mass GLOBAL extinction event of corals in 2016 that dropped the amount of atmospheric oxygen.

THE CONCLUSION IS OVER.
The President's Voter Fraud Panel is wasting money. This task can easily be conducted with far less potential for fraud and opining by asking the people that work the polls to answer questionnaires and supply statistics and demographics.

I also question whether demographics need to be addressed so much as the number of voters vs. non-voters. Once there is an understanding of the percentage of non-voters is known, the reasons that might be obstructing the vote can then be examined.

I think each voter should be anonymous rather than exploited to prejudice the vote.

Public Comment can be collected in the same manner it is collected for any other issue before it.

The questionnaires, statistics and public comment can be compiled into a comprehensive report that reflects the understanding and concern of voter fraud in the country.

The current President Panel has no recognizable methodology, is invalid and easily litigated.

The US Congress needs to address gerrymandering, BEFORE, it is an issue yet again at the time of balloting.
Florida cities and towns need to consider putting their power lines underground. The long term investment will pay off, especially considering this is Florida.

Quality of life increases with underground power lines. I don't want to hear about how these power lines cause heating underground that has to be cooled. That is an idiots statement. Underground is hotter than above ground? Really?

When was that electric failure in NYC? It was August 15, 2003. (click here)

By JR Minkel

On August 14, 2003, (click here) shortly after 2 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time, a high-voltage power line in northern Ohio brushed against some overgrown trees and shut down—a fault, as it's known in the power industry. The line had softened under the heat of the high current coursing through it. Normally, the problem would have tripped an alarm in the control room of FirstEnergy Corporation, an Ohio-based utility company, but the alarm system failed....

That line was above ground. It was exposed to the sun's rays. The lines are black in color and black absorbs heat. There is absolutely no reason to put electric power lines above ground, except it is cheap.

There needs to be a methodology in examining the reconstruction of Florida. I strongly suggest surveying the land and finding 'high ground' and restore structures there first. Large cities should have priority because they have a higher capacity of providing an economic base to a large number of people. Cites throughout the USA need to consider growing up and not out into the future.

The suburbs are a hideous idea. Resources are better used with higher quality of life for more people in cities. The more people in a square mile, the strong the economy. When people become invested in their local economies, the longevity and stability of these economies become obvious.

I strongly suggest Americans stop living below sea level.

...KURY: (click here) Certainly the cost is going to depend on the geography and the density of the region. A rule of thumb that we use down here in Florida is roughly a million dollars per mile.

SIEGEL: A million dollars per mile underground. And, say, above ground?

KURY: Well, that would be roughly the incremental cost.

SIEGEL: The incremental cost. I've heard the ratio 10 to 1 tossed around. That it's ten times more expensive to bury power lines than to run them above ground.

KURY: Ten to one is probably not a bad back in the envelope number.

SIEGEL: So it costs a great deal more to bury cables, but then again you don't routinely lose service in snow storms or hurricanes. Don't the costs of maintaining above ground lines start to add up?

I thank the First Lady for her gracious and solemn involvement in the country's painful days.

The military is probably the only people that can reach the Florida Keys.

There may be missing people as well. The estimates for this storm is probably higher than any scientist estimated in the past. Irma decimated a state.

This picture is on the New York Times e-page of this article. This is NOT the Florida Keys. Vilano Beach is just south of Jacksonville. It was within the northeast quadrant of Irma. The estimates of the damage of Irma will be a nightmare scenario.

It is long overdue for Americans to address the climate crisis. These are the lives of fellow Americans. Whether the country wants their lives returned fully or not, it will never be the same. It isn't possible to return Florida to past integrity. It just isn't. Flooding has to be taken seriously when it costs lives. Continuing in the same way as the past is pure foolishness.

The skyscrapers have to be assessed for structural integrity. They received forces of wind AND water that pushed them around and attempted to twist their integrity.

Wind is a singular force that carries brevity in insulting structural integrity. Add to that force the WEIGHT of water and wind turns into a far worse destructive force. The weight of water per square inch/mm^2 of Irma's wind was structurally higher than hurricanes of the past. When people use the words "pummeling winds" it is because it feels like rocks pelting them. The rocks Irma threw at structures were more numerous than hurricanes of the past.

“Basically every house in the Keys was impacted in some way or another,” he said.

An aircraft carrier and other Navy ships were headed to the Keys, and parts of the chain were being reopened to residents from 7 a.m....

Jose has dropped considerably as well. Wow. Irma was churning up so much hot water out of the oceans it supplied another storm. Wow. Jose may reorganize, but, most likely not. It isn't as though Irma did not but cause wind damage and flooding, it was redistributing heat from the troposphere into the oceans. At least that is what it was supposed to do. I think an argument can be made that the waters and any redistribution of heat are at an equilibrium. Considering the nature of Harvey and the prolonged velocities of Irma, hurricanes may not be cooling the troposphere at all.

Irma was an enormous hurricane that was supported by a hot troposphere and hot water. I have to question the ability of Earth to solve it's own heat imbalance.

Kerry Sanders, the dolphin whisperer.

One of the reasons northeast Florida received such horrendous storm surge is because that is where Irma lost its high winds.

The storm was no longer pushing the water. The water's weight and gravity were stronger than the winds of Irma.

Northeast Florida received the end of the storm surge as well as heavy rains. When looking to other storms, except for Harvey, Irma was over land a long time. It not only was over land for a long time, Irma maintained high winds because of it's extensive water vapor support.

The year of 2005 was a record year in the way of the number of storms that also included three major Cat. 4 and 5 systems. But, this year, it is the manifestation of the climate crisis storm that receives water vapor fuel from areas that support high velocity and/or prolonged vitality of the storm.

There have never been hurricanes such as Harvey and Irma in the history of the USA's records. None have lingered so long over land and dumped enormous amounts of water. Harvey is thought to have dropped a trillion gallons of water. That was unheard of before this year. It is tipping point.

The truth actually is...

...the attacks within the sovereign USA on September 11, 2001 occurred because of complete incompetence and indifference in the Oval Office.

Iraq happened because Cheney had to balance the books at Halliburton.

Innocent people died in the USA and our soldiers died for the same reason, the whims of power.

Andy Card still lives in Cloud City.

The corruption of the George W. Bush that waged an illegal and immoral war into Iraq still lives in the minds and hearts of those that justified it.

There is no analogy between "W" and Trump.

One is not good and one is not bad. "W" wrongly went into Iraq and that is fact. Cheney put the American people at risk when the PDB was ignored. The "W" presidency is one of the most corrupt administrations in the modern era.

There is no black and white, there is no justifying oil wars.

ISIS was breed and born under "W" in Syria. It is a known fact.

Don't even start with soldiers. Cheney and "W" had more backdoor drafts than any other administration in history. There are no great American leadership when our soldiers are used for illegal and immoral reasons.

Always remember, never forget!

It is the largest group of foreigners linked to the IS to be held by Iraqi forces since they began driving the militants from Mosul and other areas in northern Iraq last year, an aid official said. Thousands of foreigners have been fighting for the IS in Iraq and Syria.

“We are holding the Daesh families under tight security measures and waiting for government orders on how to deal with them,” said Army Colonel Ahmed al-Taie from Mosul’s Nineveh operation command.

“We treat them well. They are families of tough criminals who killed innocents in cold blood, but when we interrogated them we discovered that almost all of them were mislead by a vicious Daesh propaganda,” he said....

Kabul (Reuters) - The U.S. ambassador to Afghanistan (click here) said on Monday Washington would never allow militants to use the country as a sanctuary, as American and allied troops in Kabul commemorated the Sept. 11 attacks.

U.S. President Donald Trump in August committed nearly 4,000 additional troops to Afghanistan as part of an open-ended campaign against Taliban insurgents who have made advances in recent years.

A U.S. led intervention sparked by the Sept. 11 attacks toppled the Taliban government in 2001. Since then more than 2,400 American troops and more than 1,000 international allies have died in Afghanistan.

“Today we remember how this conflict began but let us also remember how this must end, with Afghanistan never again serving as an ungoverned space, sanctuary or base for those who are bent on attacking us and our allies,” ambassador Hugo Llorens told a crowd of soldiers at the NATO coalition’s headquarters in Kabul....

Irma is a record storm for Florida, Cuba, Caribbean and the northwest hemisphere in general.

The Hurricane of 1926 (click here)

...AT 10 A.M. ON FRIDAY, SEPT. 17, the Weather Bureau in Washington issued an advisory about "a very severe storm" that would pass through Nassau early Friday evening in a direction that would push it onto the Florida coast. Newspapers ran the advisory, but readers failed to take it seriously.

Just before 6 p.m., Miami weatherman Richard Gray received orders from the Weather Bureau in Washington to issue hurricane warnings. But in 1926 there were few avenues for warning people. Only a handful of people owned radios to hear the warnings broadcast on South Florida's only radio station.

That evening the wind began to blow harder, the barometer kept falling, and the waters started rising. Gale-force winds lashed the shore.

At 2 a.m. the hurricane, 60 miles wide, struck the shore with tremendous force. In pitch darkness, Floridians cowered before the roar of the winds and the crash of collapsing buildings.

Artist Bob Lamme, 9 years old at the time, described how he felt that night in Miami: "The thrilling excitement I had expected to experience with the storm was not there. In its place was a chilling fear."...

What does Bannon have to hide?

Perhaps his memory lapsed as to what occurred the day after Mr. Comey was fired. Perhaps, rather than sending planes to attack the country, it is easier to do it from the Oval Office, right, Steve?

See, if it were me and I wanted to completely clear my name in treason to the USA, I would welcome and cooperate with any and all aspects of the Mueller investigation.

Steve Bannon is longing to have his face transposed on Darth Vadar's face similar to "Darth Cheney." Someone should provide him his reality in sympathy of his lack of regard for the country, so much it's power. It might give him more reason for rhetoric. Please by all means make Bannon's dream come true as he is subpoenaed regarding his fraudulent voting record (click here).

His political fantasy of himself also includes evil and the devil. He should not be spared his pride. He should be identified as evil as he desires and deserves.

ROSE: Someone told me you described the firing of James Comey — you’re a student of history — as the biggest mistake in political history.

BANNON: That’s probably too bombastic even for me, but maybe modern political history.

ROSE: The firing of James Comey was the biggest mistake in modern political history?

BANNON: If you’re saying that’s associated with me, then I’ll leave it at that.

Wow....

The timeline of attacks within the USA on September 11, 2017 started long before the first crash into the buildings in New York. Of course, Iraq had nothing to do with the 911 attacks.

September 11, 2001 was the first attack within the sovereign USA on civilians. That had never happened before. The information that could have averted these attacks with commercial airliners was ignored. "The civilian" is not important to the men in power.

The people in the seat of power within the USA frequently ignore issues that are the concern of the civilian. The ceremonies that are held with children at their center are important for those that lost mothers and fathers. However, others are misplaced as a reason for patriotic rhetoric that serves the politics of fear. The honor of the civilians lost in these attacks was lost long before the attacks occurred.

As a point of interest, Pope Francis was in the western hemisphere.

The man was brutalized by the Popemobile.

September 10, 2017

Pope Francis (click here) lost his balance while riding in the popemobile through a crowd in Cartagena, Colombia, on Sunday, bruising his left cheekbone and eyelid, but he was not seriously hurt.

The Vatican said he received ice treatment and was fine to continue on his trip.

Video images showed the pope hitting the left side of his face against a vertical bar of the popemobile, a specially designed open-top vehicle that allows the pontiff to stand and greet the faithful as his motorcade advances....

He has become a peace broker. He issued help between Cuba and the USA and now another success in Columbia. The language used is rather interesting. The word "construct" is instrumental in the dialogue. "Construct the peace within our communities and schools,..." I suppose Pope Francis is correct in recognizing the fact peace is a conscience effort and doesn't occur simply because the conditions are right. The conscience effort is constructed with correct words, the idea there is no military might involved and the movement by all parties to pillar of support to evolve a lasting peace.

The correct words.

The correct dialogue.

The complete and absolute rejection of war.

I guess it takes faith in all parties to move out of fear into trust.

Cartegena, Colombia - Pope Francis' final day in Colombia (click here) got off to a bumpy start when he hit his head inside the Popemobile as it traveled down the streets of Cartegena, cutting his eyebrow and bruising his cheek.

After the application of some ice and a butterfly bandage to the eyebrow, the Vatican said the Pope was fine and he continued his full schedule Sunday in this historic town on the Caribbean sea.

Francis had come to Colombia to talk about peace, and from Cartegena he extended that message to neighboring Venezuela.

"From this city, seat of human rights," the Pope said, "I make an appeal that all types of violence in political life be renounced."

Cartagena, where missionary priests worked on behalf of slaves and the oppressed in the 17th century, has become known as a hub of human rights advocacy in Colombia....

Irma remains a somewhat deteriorating storm with a central pressure of 952 millibars and a wind speed of 85 knots per hour.

The last time Irma had a wind speed of 85 knots per hour was on August 31st. Irma has been a very long lived storm, moved very slowly with extensive damage all along the way.

16.90 -33.80 08/31/12Z 85 979 HURRICANE-2

When Irma achieved Cat. 2 status the first time it did so in six hours from a TS with wind speeds of 65 knots per hour and a central pressure of 979 millibars. This storm system appears to have a lot of tricks to play. I tend to lean into caution more than not.

It is correct to focus on the 'eye wall' of such a storm. It is the most dangerous. The movement of Irma to the Gulf side of Florida was somewhat predictable because of the temperatures of the water. While the Gulf communities received significant damage they did not expect; the Atlantic side of Florida received the wrath of the northeast quadrant of Irma.

I am not surprised Miami has dangerous streets now with cranes swinging in the wind. There should not be a mass return of people to these areas until an assessment of access routes have taken place and structural integrity is examined.

Large numbers of people live in the high rises. People have weight. The buildings are probably absent from most of it's tenants. The buildings need to be examined before everyone returns. Streets should remain closed until the assessments are complete. The emergency infrastructure should be intact first, but, these assessments conducted shortly after. Emergency infrastructure is necessary to return all residents to a safe return. Why mess it up now? Everyone conducted such a magnificent evacuation and saved countless lives. Let's keep it that way. There are children among those that evacuated. They need to be safe. Thank you.

There is a new storm in the Pacific Ocean.
