The Gulf Coast People need to hire Gulf Coast Attorneys and sue BP autonomously.

...Feinberg (click title to entry - thank you) said on Bloomberg Television yesterday that it is too early to project how much of the fund will be needed to pay individuals and businesses. He said $10 billion may be enough to compensate victims....

BP consented to $20 billion and more if necessary because they SHUT DOWN an entire economy along the Gulf Coast.

Feinberg is NOT providing accurate assessments of the fishing losses because CURRENTLY the losses are WORTHLESS and will be for a long time (at least 20 year or more according to EXPERIENCE in Alaska with Exxon Valdez).

The ONLY attorneys that will do the Gulf Residents any good at all are attorneys that KNOW them and understand their business and what IT IS WORTH over a lifetime.

The claims Feinberg is assessing is BASING them on current value of the fisheries AND recent market values of the fish.  RECENT market values are based in a DEGRADED economy because of the Wall Street Collapse.  I am confident BP is considering Paulson their best friend.

Many fisheries in the USA are passed down from generation to generation of Americans.  The fisheries see economic ups and downs and NOT JUST DOWNS.

The LIFETIME value of the fisheries are very, very different than their IMMEDIATE value.

Feinberg is playing 'the simple people' of the Gulf Coast, their States and their Scientists that will work to restore the fisheries for FOOLS.

The REALISTIC picture of the Gulf Coast Fisheries are complete collapse with no change in the immediate future for AT LEAST TWENTY years.

The Gulf States, State Attorneys, Local Attorneys need to independently sue BP, Transocean and Halliburton.

The oil companies will claim idiot Governors, like Jindal of Louisiana, claim they could immediately put people back to work IF the federal government lifted the ban sooner.

The TRUTH of the matter is that the Investigation by the Presidential Appointed Panel JUST closed and delivered their findings.  The NEW regulations are not yet in effect, but, need to be instituted ASAP by the President's Cabinet.

Just because Jindal was PLAYING POLITICS with people's lives and livelihoods doesn't mean it has validity.  As a matter of fact I don't recall Jindal every working as hard a day in his life as the fisherman that have made a living along the Gulf Coast.

Feinberg and his million dollar a month law firm needs to be FIRED.  They HAVE TO BE substituted with a Gulf Coast Law Firm that know what they are doing.  Obviously, when it comes to understanding fisheries, their rehabilitation and the people that live and work the Gulf Coast, Feinberg is a moron.

THE OIL THAT LAYS at the bottom of the Gulf isn't even degrading, yet alone GONE.  Who is Feinberg trying to kid?

BP oil spill: US scientist retracts assurances over success of cleanup  (click here)

NOAA's Bill Lehr says three-quarters of the oil that gushed from the Deepwater Horizon rig is still in the Gulf environment while scientists identify 22-mile plume in ocean depths.

White House claims that the worst of the BP oil spill was over were undermined yesterday when a senior government scientist said three-quarters of the oil was still in the Gulf environment and a research study detected a 22-mile plume of oil in the ocean depths.
Bill Lehr, a senior scientist at the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) departed from an official report from two weeks ago which suggested the majority of the oil had been captured or broken down.
"I would say most of that is still in the environment," Lehr, the lead author of the report, told the house energy and commerce committee.
The growing evidence that the White House painted an overly optimistic picture when officials claimed two weeks ago the remaining oil in the Gulf was rapidly breaking down fuelled a sense of outrage in the scientific community that government agencies are hiding data and spinning the science of the oil spill. No new oil has entered the Gulf since 15 July, but officials said yesterday the well is unlikely to be sealed for good until mid-September.
Under questioning from the committee chair, Ed Markey, Lehr revised down the amount of oil that went into the Gulf to 4.1m barrels, from an earlier estimate of 4.9m, noting that 800,000 barrels were siphoned off directly from the well.
By some estimates, as much as 90% of the oil was unaccounted for. Lehr said 6% was burned and 4% was skimmed but he could not be confident of numbers for the amount collected from beaches....

The UNDER-ESTIMATE directly relates to GOING EASY on BP's FINES !!!!!!

One of the best allies the Gulf Coast Residents have is Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute.

The extent and complexity of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill (click here) demands the mobilization of the U.S. oceanographic community in order to characterize and monitor the scope, fate and effects of the event. As a leader in oceanographic research and engineering with four decades of experience conducting and managing the science of oil spills, the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution has developed a response strategy....

The people of the Gulf Coast have been exposed to some of the nastiest carcinogens in existence.  The effects of those carcinogens may not be realized for another twenty (20), count them, TWENTY years.

Crew members in the Gulf periodically need to take extraordinary safety precautions from the hydrocarbon fumes in the air. ...The contract, signed Jan. 6 — nearly six months after Feinberg was hired to operate the Gulf Coast Claims Facility — also calls for Feinberg to turn over all claims documents to BP after his operation shuts down in August 2013.
Those documents include private financial information about claimants such as tax returns and business profit-and-loss statements.
Many claimants had to give those documents directly to BP last summer before Feinberg took over the claims process.
Amy Weiss, a spokeswoman for the claims operation, said that Feinberg continues to discuss his law firm’s fee with BP. She declined to comment further....

Feinberg Rozen DID NOT EXIST before 1993, and known following the 911 Victims Fund.  Get real about these guys.  If they don't know what they are doing, don't follow their advise.

BP maintaining control of all claims is corruption, plain and simple.  The claims process needs to be investigated.

The Gulf fisheries WERE some of the most productive in the world.  The oyster fisheries of the Gulf are dead, they aren't coming back.  The familes that owned those fisheries or any segment of them should be receiving MILLIONS of US in order to start the lives over elsewhere BESIDES being compensated for their losses and the FACT they have to learn a new trade.  The families that have lost their livelihoods should be compensated for the REAL ESTATE, LOST INCOME, PAIN AND SUFFERING AND RELOCATION COSTS if that is necessary.  The relocation costs could depend on how polluted the area is where they live.  THE FACT THERE IS ANY QUESTION ABOUT A CLAIM THAT 'HOLDS A TITLE' IS RIDICULOUS.

The ONLY economy the Louisiana coast is good for anymore is drilling for oil.  It is ruined and the sooner everyone gets that through their heads the better.  Don't believe me, ask the PEOPLE of Alaska.

Three ALSO needs to be a CLASS ACTION filed for the people of the region for the illnesses, disabilities nad deaths that have get to be realized and ARE KNOWN to be EXPECTED over the next SEVERAL decades.

Do I have to say this?  Oh, wait.  ONLY the people of Wall Street can suffer and that can ONLY happen in NYC, right?  After all, the Gulf folks 'SWEAT' to make a living, they must be subhuman.

The USA Gulf Coast has only one thing to say to BP, "YOU BROKE IT, YOU BOUGHT IT."

Now file lawsuit after lawsuit after lawsuit and don't stop until every penny is retrieved and then some!

The sediments are oil soaked.  It is where the dispersants delivered the billions of gallons of the lousy stuff.  It is why the East and West Coast of the USA cannot be drilled and if anyone says otherwise they are lying.  The Gulf Coast is too polluted to be considered viable for any significant fishery activity.  All the USA has now is the East and West Coast and they better treat those fisheries like GOLD.

An Open Letter to Brian L. Roberts, CEO of Comcast Cable (click title to entry - thank you)
...You are not God, Mr. Roberts. You have to do the 3 S's every morning, just like the rest of us. Who are you to decide? Oh, that's right. You are the CEO of Comcast. A company that overcharges its subscribers for the services they provide and then decides to CENSOR what they watch through financial discrimination. Please Mr. Roberts, get off your high horse and get in touch with the people. If you want to charge extra for MSNBC then charge extra for FOX. If FOX is free to basic cable, then MSNBC should be free as well. At least give the impression that you are not politically or religiously motivated in making the channel change. We await your answer.

I think they got the answer.  It just wasn't the one they were looking for.
Just because Hillary didn't win the nomination is no reason to turn on the party.

Olbermann states it was to much for him? That's exactly right. But, not because of the work, because of the management and interference.

Let me tell you why, without an effort from any outside forces, why the 'tampering' by Comcast isn't going to bring about results.

The 8PM hour on MSNBC wasn't the highest rated because it was 8PM, but, because it was Olbermann, his sense of justice and his sense of humor.  I have no doubt O'Donnell will maintain the ratings, but, there is a chance he may not.

See, 'management types' just don't get it.  They expect Democrats to be Republicans only more open minded.  Nope.  Democrats are family and they feel free to be themselves among their peers.  Olbermann not only knows that, he WAS THAT.

Lawrence O'Donnell was the best idea the 'management' had for 10PM, but, he isn't there five days a week.  Olbermann was.  Come Friday, at 10PM everyone, including the audience, starts their weekend.  That isn't going to play well at 8PM.  Why tune in at all if the anchor for 8PM isn't going to be there?  The audience is NOT regarded well by Comcast and it shows already.

So, for four nights out of the week the audience will tune in to watch a good line up of anchors, but, it will be less one 'vital' anchor and that was Keith Olbermann.  Everyone will start their weekend at 11PM on Thursday now.  I have no doubt the 'substitute' for O'Donnell on Friday is the best in the business, but, 'ya know' when it is family I am tuning in to watch, it just won't be the same.

I don't appreciate this.

At all.

"Gloria Mactavish...K-Mart is phasing out the sale of handgun ammunition...this plan to be complete within the continental US in ninty days..."

"The kids at Columbine had to pay a penalty...that day...for this nation, the way we look at it."

The way the 'kids' at Columbine 'look at it' is absolutely correct. Spot on. I defy anyone to say differently and sincerely defend that position. The Second Amendment is NOT suppose to come with a price of violence within the USA. There is absolutely NO BASIS for that deception. The Second Amendment is about forming 'militias' to defend the USA. Forming militias in the USA is now illegal and we have a military housed on bases to protect and defend our nation. We have police to protect and defend citizens. There is no legitimate defense for the Second Amendment to allow the slaughter of innocent people within the borders of the USA.

The people of the USA are still paying the same penalty, but, at K-Mart in the year 2011 it is now 5 cents more to secure the bullets to kill innocent people.

K-Mart lies and has never learned from their mistakes.

Discount bullets right along side, this weekend, of a 75% toy sale.

Amazing.

"Obama Care" Repeal is opposed by the majority of Americans. The Tea Baggers were elected to work on the deficit, not healthcare.

If repeal actually was achieved it would be Anti-American while returning 'death rates' to people without healh care and unable to purchase health care through pre-existing conditions.  Legislating death to Americans is not a legitimate function of the USA government.  It is a coupe in favor of Plutocracy.

The House Majority is NOT offering a viable alternative.  What else does anyone call it?

The 'Debt' has been addressed by the President.  He has recommendations of changes from a panel of experts, yet, the elected Tea Baggers are not even seeking to adapt any of the recommedations.

As you regulars know, I've been arguing here for days that overly simplistic polling has been exaggerating the support for blowing up the Affordable Care Act. When pollsters drill down with fine-grained questions, support for full repeal plummets.
The internals of today's New York Times/CBS poll dramatize this in perhaps the clearest terms yet.
The poll first asked people a straight-up question -- should we do away with the law completely, or let it stand -- and found that 40 percent favor repeal, versus 48 percent who want to leave it as is. That near-split mirrors virtually all other polls that asked the question this way -- they all find some solid support for repeal....

The Right Wing Media is 'lying' over and over and over again to maintain this issue as a political football and wedge in the electorate.  When is the FCC going to demand they stop lying to the electorate?

Michelle Bachman 'came out' to announce for President of the USA in 2012 as Palin's popularity wanes.

The Republicans DO NOT have a solid majority in the House and I have said this before.  There are THREE parties in the House of Representatives, the Democrats (which is the true majority), the  Republicans come in second followed by the Tea Baggers.

Palin has been quoted as stating, "If the RNC desolves than so be it."  That is not a Party member; it is an opposition member.

There is SINCERE and measurable division in the 'political party system' in the House and it needs to be reviewed for ethics and procedural integrity to validate a true majority.

...Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wisc., won't be the only Republican giving a rebuttal to the president's State of the Union Address Tuesday night.
A Tea Party website points to an alternate rebuttal offered by Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn.
"Congresswoman Michele Bachmann has confirmed with us that she will broadcast her response to Barack Obama's State Of The Union address this Tuesday," a post on the website said. "You'll be able to watch her rebut Obama via her address which will be broadcast on our website TeaPartyExpress.org."...

Bachmann came forward the moment Palin was cited for a hostile website.  Both Bachmann and Rove know that the Republicans cannot deliver the new Tea Part y in 2012.  Bachmann is not a viable 'alternative' to an established Republican candidate and she knows it.  However, she can carry the Tea Party up to the Republican Convention and then pledge her support after the nomination is made.  This is NOT one party and Bachmann's alternative rebuttal is proof of it.

The Tea Part are very angry people.  They know they were elected into office because of the 'hated based' freedom of speech.  These people demand THEIR freedom of speech in order to 'whip up' their 'extremist' supports, but, they demand to deny it to others.

TEA Party to protest their local law enforcement leader, Sheriff Dupnik  (click title to entry - thank you)

by Three Sonorans on Jan. 20, 2011, under Three Sonorans

The TEA Party is now joining Latino activists in protesting the local Sheriff

In Maricopa County people protest Sheriff Arpaio because his prisons have been found unconstitutional by the courts, his constant harassment of the immigrant and minority community, and his formation of an armed “posse” to go a-hunting them Mexicans.

In Pima County, the TEA Party protests Sheriff Dupnik not because...

Sheriff Dupnik could not be more correct about the hostile poltical environment in the USA.  Yet, of course, no one should point it out according to Bachmann's Tea Baggers.  The Sheriff has been re-elected and has been popular with most of the citizens.  The Hispanic community is up in arms with his tactics to prevent illegal immigration and their illegal 'hiring.'  I would think the Tea Baggers would support him rather than join the opposition to the 'tough enforcement' by the good Sheriff.  This just goes to prove the Tea Baggers aren't sincere about any position they take; they are only interested in PRESERVING their power at any cost.  The Tea Part has all the 'symptoms' of a coupe.

I'll cover the hideous use of political language over the weekend.

Have a better day.

It was a mob hit like no other.

More than 120 alleged members and associates of seven organized crime families were arrested today in a series of simultaneous, early morning raids spanning from Brooklyn to New Jersey, on charges ranging from murder to loansharking — some involving crimes dating back 20 years or more.

The arrests marked the largest federal mob takedown in history.

Justice Department officials said those charged were connected to all five New York-based crime families: the Bonanno, Colombo, Gambino, Genovese and Lucchese families, along with the New Jersey-based Decavalcante family and New England’s Patriarca crime family....

After running the car into the ditch, Wall Street wants the keys back with the exact same scheme planned.

The American Dream is now a racket.  Does that make Wall Street racketeers?

Wells Fargo (click title to entry - thank you) and some other large banks would like private companies, perhaps even themselves, to become the new housing finance giants helping to bundle individual mortgages into securities — that would be stamped with a government guarantee....

Hm?  Bundling individual mortgages into securities.  Isn't that illegal YET?

The banks have presented their ideas publicly through trade groups. Housing industry consultants and people familiar with recent meetings at the Treasury Department  (Mr. Wall Street Himself - Secretary Geithner) say these banks view the government’s overhaul of the mortgage market as a potential profit opportunity. Treasury officials have met with executives from several institutions, including Wells Fargo, Morgan Stanley (No surprise here.), Goldman Sachs (Why there is Former Secretary Hanky Paulson.) and Credit Suisse (Oh, what joy a foreign company owning most of the USA real estate market.), according to a public listing of the meetings. ...

(Reuters) - Federal agencies regulating mortgage servicers (click here) and other financial products will not "double-team" companies who fall short of the law, the head of the Federal Trade Commission said on Thursday.
Some businesses had feared that the FTC, which will share jurisdiction with the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) in some areas, would both investigate offenses, potentially along with state attorneys general.
The CFPB will issue rules -- as yet unspecified -- regulating financial products like credit cards and mortgages. The FTC enforces laws against unfair or deceptive practices in lending, loan servicing, debt collection and related areas.
"My sense is that your fears will turn out to be unfounded," FTC Chairman Jon Leibowitz said in remarks to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
"My strong sense is that neither agency will have the time to double team legitimate businesses," he said.
Instead, Leibowitz said, the agency would work to "weed out the crooks and the scam artists."...

So, let's see.  There won't be any 'double dipping' for the purpose of enforcement of laws between the FTC and the NEW consumer protection bureau established after the global banking collapse of 2008 AND the new House Majority would just as well DESTROY the consumer protecion agency all together so they can have Wall Street do it all over again.

Rep. Randy Neugebauer, R-Texas, (click here) chairman of the Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee of the House Financial Services Committee, has sent a four-page letter to Elizabeth Warren requesting specific information on the depth and scope of the ongoing activities within the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).

Neugebauer stated that he has not been privy to any details on the CFPB's organizational structure, nor did he have information regarding its hiring process. Neugebauer cited a July 29, 2010, article from Bloomberg that said the CFPB could have more than 1,000 employees, and he asked Warren to confirm the accuracy of the figure.

Neugebauer noted that the CFPB is still without an official leader. "Congress has not received an update on the status of a permanent director of the CFPB since Sept. 22, 2010," he wrote, adding that he felt Warren's exact role in the CFPB's creation remains hazy....

Saying she is "executing a fatally flawed plan," the lawmaker in charge of overseeing the new consumer agency asked point person Elizabeth Warren four pages of organizational and policy questions on the new consumer bureau.
Rep. Randy Neugebauer (R-Texas) asked Warren, who is coordinating the set up of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau before it begins operating in July, to explain which policies “are in place to avoid potential duplicative, conflicting or overlapping rulemakings that are currently under way, but will ultimately be under the regulatory authority of the CFPB?”
He also asked Warren how the new bureau plans to evaluate the impact of its regulatory efforts so as to “avoid the over-regulation that might stifle financial innovation and leave some market participants worse off.’’
Neugebauer, who chairs the House Financial Services Committee’s Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, also asked Warren about the bureau’s hiring practices and its budget. He requested a response by Jan. 31.

Does anyone besides me every get the impression Repuglicans really, really HATE the American people.  I guess we get 'in the way' of crony profits.  Ya think?

I have a suggestion for Professor Warren.  The CFPB has work to do.  AND.  Until that work has begun and there are reports to ACTUALLY report on, the House needs to stop taking up the bureau's time.  There needs to be a 'schedule' of when the CFPB is required to report on all matters facing the agency.  There should be NO political harassment of ANY agency, especially one that has very little to report on in the first place.

The 'time' has already been spent in previous legislation to outline the CFPB and I strongly suggest the politically motivated harassment needs to STOP !

I am satisfied the CFPB is being lead by a very well credentialed woman.

If I am not mistaken, repeatedly interrupting the work of THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH rings of ethics violations to me.

In case local economies haven't figured out how China's consumers are going to increase their market share...

...the local entrepreneur will benefit from a 'wholesome' relationship with China.  I want to recommend that Community Colleges conduct seminars with their local business leaders on how to build an economic attraction from foreign markets.  This opportunity should not be viewed as simply a Wall Street opportunity.  The quality of products and the wholesomeness of relationships with Americans to increase wages within China while mutually purchasing products to support both economies is a real solution to joblessness and poverty.

Small business entrepreneurs need to be cautious about over extending their potential to establish 'market share.'  In markets such as China, the 'market share' has to be developed with the help of the USA State Department to open those markets and insure the Chinese government finds them 'in compliance' with their laws and opportunities.  There is a lot to this, but, globally there are other foreign markets already developed and open to opportunity from the USA.

Remember how the Wall Street banks DID NOT loan to small businesses in the USA?  Yes?  Now you know why.  Small business entrepreneurs are 'real' competition to Wall Street.  Go get 'em.

On this blog there is an entry about where to find Former Secretary of Commerce Don Evans.  After he left the Bush Administration, which was one term, he went to China.  He wasn't there for the small entrepreneurs, he was there for 'cheap labor' and Wall Street.

Why do you think Paulson was in China more than he was at home?  To benefit Small Business Owners and to establish cultural exchanges to promote sales of Art and Entertainment?

U.S. Commerce Secretary Encouraged by Recent Talks in China  (click here)

Evans' October 29 press conference in Beijing
Secretary of Commerce Donald L. Evans says he is "encouraged" by talks he had with top economic and trade officials during his just-completed trip to China.
During an October 29 press conference in Beijing, Evans reported that he and his Chinese counterparts focused on several issues, including:
-- The protection of intellectual property rights. According to Evans, more than 90 percent of DVDs, CVDs and software sold in China is counterfeit. Some of it is being exported outside the country.
-- The elimination of trade barriers and opening of markets. "Competition is good for the economy of the world but it has to be on a level playing field," Evans said. "We all have to be playing by the same rules."...

Without the nuturing of Small Business in China; they are doomed by Wall Street to live in poverty and squaller forever.  If Americans and other First World peoples want Third World countries to move out of poverty they have to develop their Small Business Markets.  That is where human rights issues will be solved, through cultural exchanges, new understandings and opportunity.  Don't expect the leaders of more than a billion people to simply throw caution to the wind and provide changes 'with abandon.'  The leaders of countries that are benevolent in their intent have to 'transition' their governments.  I don't blame theses leaders for being cautious.

I don't recall State Dinner Participants leaving to declare war on ANY occassion.

Hu Jintao ... state dinner in his honour in Washington. Photo: AFP

This is very different treatment of China by this administration.  Prior delegations to the USA have been shunned by the Bush Administration and others.

This is a significant mile marker for the USA.  In past administrations the issues regarding Taiwan always prempted good diplomacy.  This changes the tone between the USA and China for the better while increasing global stability.

It is not easy being communist and upto recent years China was primarily a third world country.  It has more than a billion consumers within its borders and the Chinese government has been moving at a snails pace to modernize the quality of life for their people.  There is a good chance that will change now.

When countries act in hostile manner toward each other, the possiblity of unstable relations leads to horrible consequences such as 'Cold War' tactics and 'posturing' with increased weapon stores.  The 'welcoming' of China's President at a state dinner is a peace offering to which the American people hope to realize an increase in quality of life for its vast populous.

This is in combination with the new START Treaty with Russia and shows friendship to an ally of North Korea and Russia.  It is all good.

Unless world leaders can discuss their differences and what that means to the global community on a greater scale then all hopes of peace are lost.  In recognizing how far China has come and the future plans it has is to realize much is possible and that is how the 'hope' for human rights can change.  I remind, the USA still has Gitmo and the 'mark' of torture and rendition to its name.

Chinese President Hu Jintao, at a joint press conference on his state visit to Washington, said that “a lot still needs to be done in China in terms of human rights.” But Hu did not mean what you might think he means.
...You might think, for example, that one important thing that needs to be done is to free Liu Xiaobo, the Nobel Peace Prize-winning political dissident who is serving an 11-year sentence. For co-authoring a public appeal for democratic freedoms, he was found guilty of “subversion of state power.”To President Obama, who pressed Hu for Mr. Liu’s release, that is an open-and-shut violation of a universal human right – the right to free speech.
To the Chinese president, however, it is a case of a subversive, treasonable plotting to bring down the state....

A US Congresswoman heads to rehab and prosecutors indict an assassin.

...Captain Kelly (click title to entry - thank you) said the center in Houston had “a national reputation for treating serious penetrating brain injuries, and is also in a community where I have family and a strong support network.”
Also Wednesday, a federal grand jury returned a three-count indictment against Jared L. Loughner for attempting to kill Ms. Giffords and two of her aides. A United States attorney, Dennis K. Burke, called it an initial indictment and suggested that additional charges were forthcoming. By going to a grand jury, prosecutors are able to avoid a preliminary hearing in which witnesses can be cross-examined by the defense.
An arraignment, at which Mr. Loughner will enter a plea to the charges, is scheduled for Monday in Federal District Court in Phoenix.
“There will almost certainly be a superseding indictment,” said A. Bates Butler III, a former United States attorney for Arizona. “This gives the government more time to continue its investigation.”...

Even though Rep. Giffords is alive and recovering, Loughner killed six people including a 'sworn' aid to the Congresswoman, Mr. Zimmerman.  He is an assassin, as he planned to be.

Will Speaker Boner have a meaningless two years?

The House of Representatives (click title to entry - thank you) Jan. 19 passed a repeal of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 (PPACA), better known as the healthcare reform law, by a vote of 245-189.

The vote has been deemed “symbolic”...

Probably.  If the current house majority does nothing but act in meaningless ways, the two years as Speaker will be laced with a 'take home to constituents' of nothing but hubris.

It gives new meaning to "The Good Ole Boys."

Lieberman for defense secretary? I don't even have to think about this one.

NO !

He was and is a sellout to his Connecticut based insurance companies, republicans and is a Neocon.

Questions?

The first thing he'd do upon confirmation is reinstitute DADT and THEN bomb Iran.

NO, NO, a thousand times NO!

I cannot believe after all this time Condolessa Rice has not come to terms with her own lies. She is still lying.

Maybe she believes she is lying just a little bit, so its not really a lie.

"W"rong.

The woman is diluted by her own importance.  And talk about tone.  The tone of that administration was not only horrible, it still lingers today as if sincerely civilized.

The lie of WMD according to Rice was not a lie because they sincerely were led to believe Saddam was RE-arming his weapons of mass destruction accompanied by technology that would cause the USA warm.

Where the hell does that come from?

There was NO credible intelligence that said there was ANY capacity of the Saddam government hidden under the sands of Iraq that the United Nations inspectors COULD NOT FIND and that the seals on any stores of any type of weapons were distrubed.  If ANYTHING there was GROSS proof to JUST THE OPPOSITE.

On repeated occassion since Iraq was diarmed the United Nations Inspectors found NOTHING.  Not a trace of any proof of the Bush allogations.  The Bush White House had no credible proof other than their own 'imagineering.'  Who the hell is she fooling even today?

I can't and won't respect here.  There is no reason for me to respect a word she says.  I never respected a word she said before and that is not going to change now.

There were tests on going with companies contracted to the USA military that was proving left and right any exposure of biological and chemical would degrade extremely quickly when exposed to a 'carbon' SAND environment and yet they persisited the Hussein government was hiding something.

It is one thing to value human life and work to have Saddam and his government removed from power to insure the safety of others, such as the 50,000 Shi'ites that were killed.  But, to turn right around and kill the very people that once were at the mercy of Saddam for the sake of 'Nation Builiding' is more than simply hippocritical, it is a human rights violation that she and her peers have never been held responsible for.

The reason and the ONLY reason Bush ordered the invasion into Iraq is because THE TONE of the country allowed it while Americans huddled in their homes with Duct Tape.

Rice has a lot of soul searching to do, IF she still has one.

Senator Feinstein called Vice President Cheney when receiving the document to her desk after first sending two memos and stated, "Did you see the assessment?"

Cheney stated, "Yes and we won't be able to address that for six more months."

Feinstein, "Dick, the document states three months."

The Bush Regime remains indictable for deaths both domestic and abroad.

After16 weeks, (click title to entry - thank you) inspectors turned up some evidence of undeclared activities, but not enough to convince a majority of the Security Council members that military force was necessary. Nonetheless, on March 19, 2003, U.S. and British forces attacked Iraq to forcibly eliminate its WMD. This report, which will be updated as events warrant, analyzes the inspections, their outcome, and possible future tasks....

The 'evidence of undeclared activity,' were the Iraqi scud missiles could reach targets JUST OVER THE BORDER of Iraq with an extended range of a few hundred meters beyond what they were supposed to be allowed with Iraq disarmed.  As a result the Scuds were dismantled and buried in the desert according to the demands of the USA.

The other activity was found when components to POTENTIAL centrifuges were found scattered around the country.

None of the UN Seals were disturbed and IN FACT the so called inventory of WMD was stated to be gone and it was gone.

Even today, Rice does nothing but 'makes excuses' for a war that has killed countless of innocent people and thousands of USA soldiers that were given SUBSTANDARD equipment and vehicles to carry out an obscure mission.

I do not believe she is capable of facing the facts and never will be.

...Cables sent (click here) by Condoleezza Rice also tell that Syria wasn’t willing to allow International Atomic Energy Agency’s inspection to assure everyone that its nuclear reactor meant no harm. It was United State’s support and advice which encouraged Israel to attack Syria; violating its boundaries and showing disrespect for its sovereignty.
Condoleezza Rice explicitly mentions in her cables that it was essential for the diplomats to know about the ongoing situation.
Reports issued by the experts in 2007 confirm the cables sent by Condoleezza Rice to quite an extent. It is said that the area attacked by Israel was immediately declared as a restricted zone; the government wanted to remove any proof confirming the presence of nuclear reactor at the location. It is also said that traces of uranium were found from the location....

Praying for guidance is a reasonable method for people in any walk of life.

Opening a House session with prayer with at least an occassional absence of it in respect for diversity is a reaonsable method for practice from any walk of life.

But.

Expecting divine intervention, as if "God is On My Side" is nothing but arrogance to believe a human being of any religious practice could SUMMON God as if a servant to their will.

It used to be called barbaric and uncivilized as if a Witch Doctor were summoning the spirits.

It is grossly unrealistic for any Congressperson to actually conduct their practice in the House as if they are not responsible for acting morally for all citizens in respect to them all and simply discharge their responsibilities 'to God' and not act according to their Oath of Office.

I suppose it could be called "Voo-doo Politics" when Repuglicans are so arrogant they don't abide by their own religious leaders in proper behavior and conduct in leading a nation of diverse beliefs and practices in the best interest of the American people and using 'spiritual' rhetoric to pander to their cronies, the Plutocracy.

...'Angels' country'
"We are in a conflict between good and evil. And America will call evil by its name," Mr Bush told West Point graduates in a speech last year.
In this battle, he placed his country firmly on the side of the angels.
"There is wonder-working power in the goodness and idealism of the American people," he said in this year's State of the Union address.
This concept of placing America in God's camp sticks in the throat of a lot of American clergy.
"It is by no means certain that we are as pure as the driven snow or that our international policy is so pure," says Fritz Ritsch, Presbyterian minister in Bethesda, Maryland....

Rep. Carolyn McCarthy introduces bill limiting extended magazines (click here)

Wednesday, January 19, 2011
New York Rep. Carolyn McCarthy plans to introduce legislation in the House aimed at limiting access to extended magazines, similar to those used in the attempted assassination of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords.
Ms. McCarthy, whose husband was killed as a result of gun violence, will represent the first litmus test concerning the nation’s tolerance for gun reforms. Among those sponsoring the bill, none were Republicans, an indication that the bill will be largely partisan....

The website of House Representative Trent Franks and his misguided, religiously based rhetoric (click here)

The 'attitude' of the House Repbuglicans is based in self-righteous rhetoric rather than 'self-directed' answers for the people of the USA.  They are completely incompetent to formulate real ideas and answers for the people and hence are unable to govern.

End of discussion.

With the somber reality of the attempted assassination of US Congresswoman Giffords the Democrats and their constituents have a mission.

That mission is to end the 'corrupt politics' of the Right Wing and their Plutocratic victors.  That mission is to have the House Republicans 'own the problems of the nation,' rather than do nothing but play politics as corrupted by the Plutocracy of the country.

We know that money rules our political system and that money has come in immoral amounts to corrupted candidates.  Make to doubt the corruption of the past Republican candidates LINGERS in the newly elected Republicans.

For decades now the Democrats have taken on the challenge to bring 'The Good Fight' to the government.  It sincerely is a moral campaign to end all other campaigns.  The problem with 'having it heard' by moral constituents is the over riding 'tone' purchased by the Plutocracy of the Republican Party.  The most dramatic example of these past elections played out in the Senate seats whereby Senate Majority Leader Reid and House Minority Leader Pelosi were demonized to create a faux wedge issue to divide the constituency across the country.  The Reid Campaign met up with some of the most corrupted political dialogue among the new Republican candidates, although Delaware was amazing.  If there is one place where it played out across all governmental bodies it was California, but, the moral people of California saw the corruption and acted on it.  We should all be grateful for their commitment to good government.

The problem is this, the 'plans' the RNC has to win in 2012 is to carry out the political rhetoric on the floor of the House and Senate as they normally do.  The reason they do that is because it gives legitimacy to use the government's actual setting to drum home their politics.  The rhetoric entered into the record of the House and Seante is significant and can be traced back to more than just this Congress.

The Plutocratic Agenda is one of deception because they wouldn't win otherwise.  They have no real ideas but simply rhetoric as is demonstrated in today's House vote.  During the Health Care Debate when the current law was passed we heard nothing but how the people don't want the bill and yet today where only 18% of the people want complete repeal they are going forward with the vote anyway.  That is a double standard and it is done for political gain.

Or so they believe it is politcal gain.

The Republicans 'tend' to be in the minority unless elections are corrupted.  The corruption occurs with vast pools of money gotten from the Plutocracy.  The corruption lies at the base of the juvenile approach of the GOP.  They never 'take on the challenge' of govern, but, simply pander to millionaires and billionaires.  We saw that clearly with the Senate vote for allowing the Plutocratic Vote for the Bush Tax Cuts for the wealthy last year.

The Hosue Democrats have a mission to be sure the current majority is not corrupt IN THEIR VALUES as to what is best for the people of the nation and to OWN the same problems they face every day in their governance of the USA.  That mission is more important to expose the corruption of the House Republican value system and have them openly own the 'The Good Fight' along side their Bipartisan Colleagues.

The highest priorities for the House Democrats at this juncture is to right and achieve passage of gun control that is effective to keep the people of the country safe from current irresponsible GAPS in the laws.  They also have to bring brevity to the discussion of the nation's budget and not allow it to used as a political toy that interrupts a delicate economic recovery and destroys important American infrastructure.  That budget is what will be used to justify the raising of the debt ceiling for the current Republican majority.  The Democrats cannot morally vote to raise the debt ceiling with an immoral federal budget going forward.  The two are intricately linked.

The truth is the current reason to raise the debt ceiling is because of the irresponsible Bush/Cheney spending which inclued a "W"rongful war while abandoning their 'War on Terror' in Afghanistan.  The House Republicans have to own the 'debt ceiling' and vote according to their conscience, so I suggest the Hosue Democrats vote theirs and force the Republicans to take their majority seriously rather than treating it as a poltical toy to achieve greater corruption and endangerment for the people of the USA.
