Severe Storms That Slammed Central US Leave At Least 3 Dead In Pennsylvania (click here)

Severe storms that stretched from Texas to New York on Tuesday have left at least three people dead in Pennsylvania.

Pittsburgh Public Safety announced that a man was electrocuted by live wires in the South Side Slopes area of the city, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. In a news conference on Wednesday, Pittsburgh Mayor Ed Gainey extended condolences to the victim's family and held a moment of silence.

In State College, police said a 22-year-old man was electrocuted while trying to put out a mulch fire started by downed power lines. Just outside Pittsburgh in Ross Township, a 67-year-old man was killed by a fallen tree, the Associated Press reported.

The storms caused widespread damage across the Pittsburgh area, with the city’s 911 system experiencing a temporary outage. Allegheny County reported more than 5,000 calls per hour to its regional 911 centers as the storms brought down trees and power lines. The Pittsburgh Public Safety Department said the 911 system was fully restored by early Wednesday....

Following (click here) President Donald Trump's introduction of the “Liberation Day” tariffs, the first major car manufacturer has announced plans to halt production in the United States....

The foreign companies in the USA have a problem they never had before, their executives from places like Japan can be assaulted by ICE and removed to another country for who knows why and for who knows how long. The entire situation is nothing short of deranged.

With Mazda pulling up stakes to bring their employees home, there will be another company shuttering their doors with loss of federal and state revenues, payment of local property taxes (which will hit schools), and increased unemployment. These are huge dynamics which can't always be predicted exactly, but, as the number of foreign businesses go home the USA will find itself in free fall.

Mazda is a Japanese company that has manufactured cars in the USA since 1970. That is a relationship between a Japanese company for 55 years. Overnight. And I mean on that time line of 55 years, that is an overnight closure and for one reason and one reason only, BECAUSE THE USA IS NOT A RELIABLE PARTNER.

JOE BIDEN DID NOT DO THIS!

There is little chance this decision will be reversed.

Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) (click here) today reported total December sales of 40,201 vehicles, an increase of 1.7 percent compared to December 2023. Full-year sales totaled 424,382 vehicles; an increase of 16.8 percent compared to 2023. With 25 selling days in December, compared to 26 the year prior, the company posted an increase of 5.8 percent on a Daily Selling Rate (DSR) basis.

CPO sales totaled 5,931 vehicles in December, an increase of 17 percent compared to December 2023....

So, what exactly does Trump have planned for the workers that are losing their jobs?  Not a damn thing. Trump thinks as does Musk that everything will be fine and there will be other jobs. This is irresponsible government.

And what is the majority Republican Congress doing? Making it worse.

House Republicans (click here) have advanced a series of proposals attempting to cut costs by reducing the value of federal retirement annuities, increasing contributions into the government’s retirement system, and requiring federal employees to decide between taking a reduced paycheck or keeping their civil service protections....

For those not paying attention, this is called political hubris. It has no real reason to occur, it is simply political bias that singles out federal workers as lazy and over compensated.

I am confident there are unions involved and ultimately if these measures pass they will end up in court and meaningless because it is called CONTRACT LAW.

We already know Americans all over the world travel and get in trouble without even trying. The answer to their plight is to take it up with the court systems where they are held. That is not dissimilar to the answer by the Supreme Court in regard to Kilmar Abrego Garcia. However, the issue with Mr. Garcia grew into something bigger, contempt of court by Trump. And it was King Trump in defiance, not the DOJ.

I sincerely believe the Venezuelans are imperil as El Salvador intends a prisoner swap that will result in death at the hands of Maduro. I also believe at that point Trump falls into peril at the ICC. The ACLU of a correct in that returning the Venezuelans to the USA as a DOCUMENTED protected population of people needs to happen now. I also believe this issue has multi-fronts, including El Salvador, Venezuela, and the ICC. I think the Supreme Court has set precedent on this case. Why they kept it in the USA is odd to me. That is not a real world experience to protect and save the lives of Americans and in this case coveted Immigrants. 

To be clear. I think what Trump did involving other countries in his chosen bigotry and racism is explosive to say the least. Carter failed in Iran, but, this has similar qualities as to how far an intervention can go with potential to violence in crossing borders. 

I am not a lawyer, but, to sincerely save the lives of protected Venezuelans may mean moving before the ICC involving the Presidents of El Salvador and Venezuela for what is being planned here. I also believe with acknowledgement of secret phone conversations on disappearing verbal communication such as with Hegseth, Trump has an element of suspicion to any death of these protected people.

All that said, I believe the Supreme Court closed the door on domestic orders regarding immigrants, including the children illegally removed from American fathers to Honduras. The hearings have to take place where the immigrants are held.

The deportation of protected people, including American born children, from this country is illegal. It is illegal from the president to Homan to ICE agents and any other law enforcement involved. I think Louisiana needs to stop being blind to illegal deportations, including Americans, and stop it. I believe legal criminal actions, as well as civil l, can be pursued against the same people, Trump, Homan, ICE agents and any other law enforcement involved.

That said expedited hearings in El Salvador before the courts need to start to prevent further abuse of people protected by this country. Protected status was granted to them. That is an international recognition of long standing civil disruptions in Venezuela that citizens of that country flee for their lives.

The Venezuelans were protected through our immigration system through asylum as well as Presidential order under President Biden. It is amazing how King Trump expects his presidential decrees to be respected when he does not respect those of others because of his seething hatred.

The human beings caged in El Salvador can be defended from further persecution in foreign courts. We have done this before in many other countries with their own habeas standards with the full weight of American mortality and the ICC staring them in the face.

The ACLU has a noble reason for their persistence. They must succeed. They should be supported because the next deportation could be anyone.

Consumers have a right to know.

This is not political. Amazon is being transparent so consumers can decide the best way forward with tariffs kicking in. This is Trump creating a controversial distraction from the fact the trade deficit is escalating as a quick pace.

Some estimates are that the start of next school year will see spiral bound notebooks with 100 pages costing $5.00 each. 

Consumers have a right to know to plan for the future. It maybe that using credit now for items not normally paid for with credit is actually prudent considering the information Amazon is providing. When the cost of a student notebook normally 5 for $1.00 has the potential to cost 25 times that purchasing on credit makes sense. The American consumer wants and needs this information. Marketing and not politics is the reason behind the transparency at Amazon.

Trump is out of control.

There is a remarkable mention of Louisiana in most of these cases. Homan chronically is coming into conflict with the judicial department. This inhumane treatment of Americans is unlawful. 

Homan purposely targeted three undocumented women, one pregnant, to make a case against birthright citizenship. They are sick SOBs. They did it deliberately regardless of the danger to human life. They are disgusting.

If these women and their babies face adversity that costs them harm or worse Homan, the ICE officers, and Trump need to be held responsible for human rights abuses.

This is not us. We bring people, including children, to this country for medical treatment. I find it rather odd there were three women from Honduras arrested together. Homan has issues. He is targeting more and more sensationalized immigrant cases IN THE FACE of a judiciary already demanding people be returned to their lives in the USA.

Where is Congress? Silence is not an option.

That child is facing a fight for his life without the benefit of sufficient medical treatment. Oh, wait. Let me guess. Homan wants to throw people on Medicaid out of the country mercilessly to make Musk proud.

Where is the list of immigrants Homan is working from to simply gather up three women with children to deport to the same country?

That explosion was felt and heard 31 miles from the epicenter.

According to what I have read since the explosion there were at least 12 ships carrying solid missile fuel between the port and 3 miles out.

Who sent the fuel? There were 7 ships carrying solid missile fuel at the dock. Who’s ships were carrying it and who sold it or gave it to Iran?

The shipment was grossly mishandled. Who was making these decisions? They are to blame. No military in their right mind would line up 12 cargo ships of solid missile fuel for delivery all at the same time. That is crazy.

If Iran is responsible for those deliveries then the authorities don’t care nor understand what protecting the public and infrastructure means. If Iran is going to to be this stupid and wants to destroy their own country through gross negligence then they should feel free to do so.

This is exactly the problem with third world countries that seek sophisticated weapons to protect their sovereignty. They don’t have the brain trust. It is catastrophe waiting to

happen.

They redirect much needed money for food and education to building military weapons that never serve them well.
