The order to arrest, detain, torture, maim, or murder didn’t have to come from Assad. His henchmen decided guilt, innocence, and sentencing, no different than the Texas Rangers.
The difference lies in the fact a democratically elected government requires proof and accountability of its law enforcement. That standard of the Rule of Law doesn’t exist in countries with dictators.

I have one question. Only one. How did Brian Thompson, a powerful CEO, come face to face his murderer?
That seems surreal to me. I doubt anyone could simply walk up to other CEOs like Jamie Dimon, just as an example. It seems as though Brian had no idea of the danger his company was raising in conducting business in the way it did. I find this entire episode with corporate America odd.
In retrospect, Michael Moore made the film "Roger and Me." For as much as Michael Moore tried he never met Roger Smith (click here) while still directing a successful documentary.
I find the opportunity for these two people to meet concerning. I simply don't believe murder elevates "the cause." Healthcare is important, but, responsible government is how that is best addressed.

Recent data show that patients are now even more likely to have their claims denied, pay more for premiums and medical visits, and face unexpected costs for care they thought was covered by their health plan. Rising costs are attributed in part to consolidation of doctors' practices, hospitals and insurers....
It isn't as though the denial by corporate health care has gone unnoticed. The US Senate Permanent Subcommittee had concluded an investigation into this very issue as it relates to Medicare Advantage favored by recipients. In October, a report from the U.S. Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations showed that the nation’s insurers have been using AI-powered tools to deny some claims from Medicare Advantage plan subscribers.

These experiments by Russia obviously will have global implications.
If Russia can master the art of blocking internet connections it can carry that out in more places than simply Russia for the sake of protecting Putin's propaganda. Russia will attempt such strategies against it's own people it will carry out these strategies with other countries with implications to the military.

Russia has reportedly cut some regions of the country off (click here) from the rest of the world's internet for a day, effectively siloing them, according to reports from European and Russian news outlets reshared by the US nonprofit Institute for the Study of War (ISW) and Western news outlets.
Russia's communications authority, Roskomnadzor, blocked residents in Dagestan, Chechnya, and Ingushetia, which have majority-Muslim populations, ISW says. The three regions are in southwest Russia near its borders with Georgia and Azerbaijan. People in those areas couldn't access Google, YouTube, Telegram, WhatsApp, or other foreign websites or apps—even if they used VPNs, according to a local Russian news site.
Russian digital rights NGO Roskomsvoboda told TechRadar that most VPNs didn't work during the shutdown, but some apparently did. It's unclear which ones or how many actually worked, though. Russia has been increasingly blocking VPNs more broadly, and Apple has helped the country's censorship efforts by taking down VPN apps on its Russian App Store. At least 197 VPNs are currently blocked in Russia, according to Russian news agency Interfax....

That raised questions of competency as well. Many paid to have their names nominated and that raises questions as to how kick backs are making it to Trump’s personal accounts.
These people are ACTORS ON A STAGE with personas that don’t reveal who they truly are. They are all practiced performers.
Like I said, he is a figurehead that will allow others to carry out corruption at will while he sits undisturbed and out of reach of the law watching FOX News and eating hamburgers. There is every reason to believe all this cabinet officers are as out of touch as him and only handmaidens to their wealthy cronies.

I have been voting for 50 years.
During that time there have been reports, publications, and articles that have rattled the politics of the day. Examples are the Pentagon Papers, the Watergate Scandal, the 911 Commission Report, the Iraq Study Group, and the latest the January 6th Committee. All these reports answered important questions for Americans. None ever engaged in malicious intent.
None.
All employed the true valued by Americans to understand the power of their government, the importance of honest elections, and the value of every American life.
It is appalling that Trump is rampaging about stating on day one he will pardon every criminal of January 6th convicted in a court of law where Due Process was honored. It is even more appalling to hear how Trump plans to carry out revenge politics against the January 6 Select Committee. The two appalling acts by Trump compliments each other and begins the revisionist history of the violence at our Capitol. “Stop the Steal,” is to become the true history of the events of January 6th. Not the truth. Not an accurate count of the votes. Not the recording of the proper delegates to the Electoral College. The only thing that matters to Trump is the revisionist history he campaigned on.
The USA legislature will become meaningless if they allow this to happen. The January 6th Select Committee was legitimately passed into law to carry out the investigation of that day and all events leading up to it.The committee members are sacred to the truth reported to the American people. There will be no prosecution of the members of Congress that served when asked. A majority of the testimony was open to the public and recorded. There will be no revisionist history of that day which was responsible for the deaths of six Capitol police officers. Any ATTEMPT to change the sworn record of January 6th is fraud and prosecutable by law.

Nikki Haley was the South Carolina governor that removed confederate flags from the state capital and had the audacity to place a black man, namely Tim Scott in the USA Senate after Jim DeMint resignation to work for the Heritage Foundation. So, it seems as though she owes Trump’s Bad Boy White Supremacist terror network an apology, hence, she had to find some black man in power to hate so the deportation to Africa can begin.
I mean if the Trump regime is holding Haley’s first born as hostage she needs to speak to that and not play “The Trump Hate Game.”
Everyone is vulnerable. Everyone. Black, White, and Zebra are vulnerable to hate propaganda that Trump has an affection for.
The Trump Hate Game was started with the 2016 campaign when he would stand on debate stages calling his opponents childish names. It has grown from there to an attempted coup at the Capitol with violence, gallows, rampaging crowds through the Capitol looking to harm and kill freely elected representatives and a Vice President.
Now, in the open The Trump Hate Game is taking on new challenges to remove whoever is not an Evangelical White Man with wife in tow to the exit gates of the Great American Hate Stadium.
I strongly suggest Senator Warnock begin a tabloid liable suit that includes Nikki Haley as a willing participant.
As far as Ms. Haley, she has strong ties to India and she should be questioned to her potential knowledge of the assassination and the terrorist network that carried it out. No stone should be left unturned.
Curious though. Does Marco Rubio still have small hands if he is going to be Secretary of State? Will his international peers shake hands with him?
There is a danger with Trump. He abuses power daily if not every minute of the day. He considers pardons as a powerful tool to achieve criminal goals. The courts of the USA have told him loudly the people storming the Capitol are criminals and have sentences to carry out. The courts have also told him loudly that his business practices are illegal, even his family’s charity carried out unethical and illegal practices.
I think he has accumulated 24 or was it 34 convictions of his own. Once Trump was convicted of a dozen crimes it was hard to keep up with.
YET.
He lacks remorse and sides still today with the criminal element of his political movement and promises to pardon every convicted criminal he decides is his good friend.
The Presidential pardon has a tradition of being used at the end of a term in office, not on a chronic, daily basis.
Most of what got Trump elected besides Musk’s money is the message that money carried. They were messages of lies and hate that Musk consented to be a part of. That is tabloid journalism at its worse. That is Trump’s favorite VEHICLE for his purposes to propagate hate and provide relief to the money czars of his campaign and the many voters identifying with the lies and hate.
The absolute worse strategy to survive the Trump regime is accept these vehicles as fact and simply live with it. That is what Russian media does everyday and one of the reasons Evan Gershkovich was arrested. Abuse of power visited the great Jamal Khasquji. The power of terrorism and hate determined the fate of the incredibly wonderful Daniel Pearl.
These are only three of magnificent journalists dead and in prison for practicing “The Art of the Truth.”
The next four years are going to be very, very confrontational if Congress doesn’t act to end it. So, dig in and prepare to be entertained by the Appendice of Hate, the DDT of government, the Dysfunctional Donald John Trump, soon to take center stage.
