 Tonight will be delayed

Depends on color of state

Blue states such as Michigan are being targeted to create skepticism and lack of confidence in government by LeJoy.

Best option at this time is to give DeJoy a title of “Country Bafoon” with a salary and responsibility except to stay out of the way of the returning Post Master General.

DeJoy's game for bankrupting the US Post Office into oblivion.

Not every package that is lost within the domain of the US Post Office comes from Amazon. Amazon stands to lose a lot of it's inventory due to lost shipments, but, what about those packages that are not insured by Amazon? What happens then?

A few years back the USPS began to insure every package that had a tracking number.

USPS (click here) includes limited insurance coverage for certain packages and services at no additional charges. Shipments can only be insured if tracking, such as delivery or signature confirmation, is included on the package.

See the table below for specific services and included insurance from USPS.

What if every package with a tracking number goes missing. Dumped someplace where the packages are either going to deteriorate with weather and exposure or simply dumped in a trash pile that goes to a landfill or incinerator? What happens to the USPS if every package with a tracking number files an insurance claim. Which by the way, Amazon would have the right to do.

If the USPS had to pay an insurance claim for every package that has gone missing it would go bankrupt in a fairly short period of time.

I believe DeJoy is dumping packages and mail for the purpose of destroying the sovereign US Post Office. He has to go. There is far too much on the line to allow such incompetence to exist within the Board of Governors and the Post Master General. I am quite confident the USPS has a growing disdain throughout the US by now due to poor service. The country has had enough of Trump and his minions. It is time to rid the federal government of Trump's massive schemes to destroy it and the people still carrying it out

It is going to be expensive to rebuild the institution from the ground up, but, it needs to be done as a constitutional directive.

The Tale of Two Parties. The Dems believe women should be heard from and not just seen.

The Republican Governor circumvented the Palm Beach County Commissioner, Melissa McKinlay (click here). Ms. McKinlay obviously is doing all the hard work to be sure migrant farm workers received vaccines. There is a more than 50 percent chance she would have objected to only Publix receiving the right to distribute the vaccine in Palm Beach County.

Commissioner Melissa McKinlay biography (click here).

Distributing vaccines is like a community ad, right? Those that do the job are thought of differently than those that do not do the job. It was a poor decision to even allow a hint of corruption to enter the picture.

Governor DeSantis goes on and on about how CBS's narrative is false and he is exonerated from allowing a $100,000 donor to his campaign exclusive rights to vaccinations. It is definitely "Pay to Play" regardless of the explanation DeSantis gives.

I like Publix. I think it is a very fine grocery store. This scheme to reach areas of the county where seniors live may be a great idea, but, the facts are clear. Publix was a huge donor to the Governor's campaign AND they left out a woman commissioner in the decision-making who believes the government handles vaccination just fine.

I don't know of any senior citizens that would not appreciate walking out of their homes to an awaiting van for a vaccine.

The CBS journalist, Sharyn Alfonsi, specifically names Commissioner McKinlay. It is simply wrong to completely eliminate a woman elected by the people out of the discussion as to what is best for the people of her district.

DeSantis is wrong. No matter his justification for allowing Publix to distribute vaccines it is a Pay to Play directive by DeSantis. It just is. There were no plans submitted to be cleared by the mayor or the administrator so a decision could be voted on and/or decided, he did not meet with everyone in Palm Beach County because Commissioner McKinlay was not contacted.

DeSantis decided. He clearly stated he gave Palm Beach County mayor and administrator his options for the county. So, DeSantis decided what was best and then presented those limited options to the people running the government.

I don't like DeSantis' narrative and the CBS journalist has a point regardless of his dismissal of it. He is wrong and a woman official elected by the people was completely excluded from any facts, presentation, or decision.

Perhaps CBS and Ms. Alfonsi will make a visit again with Commission McKinlay to see how indeed the distribution of the vaccine is going and whether or not Senior Citizens are getting their vaccinations.

And, by the way, where is the reporting of the vaccines to the county health commissioner who should be following the vaccinations for adverse effects?

There is a huge divide in the USA between the way the two parties conduct themselves. DeSantis went out on a limb to decide the best way forward without any real medical consultation. Ms. McKinlay included Jared Moskowitz (click here) Director of Florida's Division of Emergency Management. He was appointed by the governor. Democrats like the government to have control of emergency situations while Republicans like to dispel the idea government is competent when it is so very much better to let the commercial industry handle everything.

This has to stop. The USA cannot continually be on a roller coaster of administrative directives. That is a banana republic. There is a CORRECT way of doing things and there is an inexcusable incorrect way of doing things. The government is supposed to protect citizens not exploit them for Pay to Play.

The deaths in Indianapolis has the potential to be a hate crime.

April 17, 2021
By Kelly McLaughlin and Kelsey Vlamis

The victims of a mass shooting (click here) at a FedEx facility in Indianapolis were identified by police Friday evening. They are:

Matthew R Alexander, 32
Samaria Blackwell, 19
Amarjeet Johal, 66
Jaswinder Kaur, 64
Jaswinder Singh, 68
Amarjit Sekhon, 48
Karlie Smith, 19
John Weisert, 74

Local outlet ABC21 reported four of the victims were members of the Indianapolis Sikh community, according to Gurinder Singh Khalsa, a Sikh community leader....

Still yet ANOTHER young murderer. There are problems with white men in this age group that needs to be addressed to end the influence of the gun culture.

Isolation from social engagement in teens, especially boys, find ACCEPTANCE in online sites that FREQUENTLY leads to recruitment into White Supremacy/Nationalism.

Loneliness among young people is painful for them. They want to be accepted and become engaged in successful relationships. This isn't happening among some of our young men. If there were mental health problems how did he get the gun?

We have seen isolation as a malady in a young man's life over and over.

Indianapolis - The stepsister of 19-year-old Brandon Scott Hole, (click here) the suspected gunman in Thursday’s mass shooting at a FedEx facility in Indianapolis, described him as “isolated” in an exclusive interview with NewsNation affiliate WXIN-TV.

“Brandon was isolated,” said his stepsister, who didn’t want to be identified.

She said their father died by suicide in 2004.

“We do have a lot of mental illness in our family and he never got the help that he needed,” she said....

I think President Biden needs to assess the number of refugee children at the southern border.

Republicans are carrying on about the southern border. Those migrants at our border are climate refugees. I am sure the Biden Administration is taking a pause to return higher numbers of refugees accepted because of the climate refugees out of the Northern Triad.

President Biden is correct to pause a return to higher levels of admissions into the country of refugees from other countries. The southern border is becoming a place where climate refugees have congregated. It is a concern and continuing to open up other the admission of other countries refugees is simply ignoring what is occurring at the southern border of the country.

The growing number of unaccompanied minors coming to the southern border may take up the total number of refugees the USA normally takes every year.

By Zolan Kanno-Youngs and Miriam Jordan

Washington - The White House announced (click here) on Friday that President Biden would limit the number of refugees allowed into the United States this year to the historically low level set by the Trump administration, reversing an earlier promise to welcome more than 60,000 people fleeing war and persecution.

But the move to cap the number at 15,000 prompted such an immediate backlash from Democrats and human rights activists that the White House later retreated and promised to announce a final, increased number by May 15.

The White House press secretary, Jen Psaki, did not specify how many refugees would be allowed into the country, but she did say that Mr. Biden’s initial goal of welcoming 62,500 seemed “unlikely.”...

The vaccine companies need to file liable suit against Tucker Carlson.

Carlson has no background in medicine or medical research. He has no absolute data to back his lies. The vaccine companies have the ability to stop this assault on the American people by political right-wing propaganda.

The reason masks are still necessary is because the population of the USA is completely protected. I received both of my doses of Moderna COVID-19 and it is peace of mind that I didn't have before my vaccinations. The reason there are variants is that countries did not shut down the country to end the spread of the virus. If every country shut down as did New Zealand the global population would not be facing these problems today.

The previous administration never secured the shutdown that ended the spread in the early stages. If the USA was setting the example with an effective shutdown there would not be huge problem globally today.

...that’s a stark form of psychological trauma in and of itself,”...

The entire City of Flint was traumatized. There was a considerable number of miscarriages of fetuses during the water crisis.

April 16, 2021
By Cornell University

Ithaca, NY - Since state austerity policies initiated a potable water crisis seven years ago in Flint, Michigan, public health monitoring has focused on potential developmental deficits associated with lead exposure in adolescents or fetuses exposed in utero.

New research from Cornell and the University of Michigan offers the first comprehensive evidence that the city’s adult residents suffered a range of adverse physical and mental health symptoms potentially linked to the crisis in the years during and following it, with Black residents affected disproportionately.

In a survey of more than 300 residents, 10% reported having been diagnosed by a clinician with elevated blood lead levels – well above national averages – after a state-appointed city manager, as part of a cost-saving measure, switched the city’s water source to one that became contaminated with lead and harmful bacteria on April 25, 2014.

Nearly half the survey respondents reported experiencing skin rashes and more than 40% experienced hair loss, among physical symptoms associated with elevated levels of bacteria and heavy metals in water. More than a quarter of respondents reported symptoms of depression or anxiety, and nearly a third had PTSD symptoms specifically related to the water crisis.

“If you don’t trust your water and you actively avoid it over persistent concerns on its safety, that’s a stark form of psychological trauma in and of itself,” said Jerel Ezell, assistant professor in the Africana Studies and Research Center in the College of Arts and Sciences....

The politics of Trump lead directly to this violence.

Aaron Danielson was shot and killed by an ANTIFA activist. Accounts I read had both men exchanging gunfire in a parking garage.

Get this he has a "Go Fund Me" page (click here) If you have to work then contribute to your favorite violent activist.

Police officials (click here) identified the man fatally shot Saturday night in downtown Portland, Oregon, amid clashes between pro-Trump groups and left-wing protesters as Aaron J. Danielson of Portland.

Police said Danielson died at the scene of a wound to the chest. He was positively identified by the Multnomah County Medical Examiner's Office, the Portland Police Bureau announced in a statement.

The far-right group Patriot Prayer, which has previously clashed with left-wing demonstrators, mourned Danielson's death.

"(H)e had a huge heart," group organizer Joey Gibson said on his Facebook page. "God bless the life he lived."...

He was a supporter of "Patriot Prayer" (click here) a White Supremacist organizer.

No Republican or Democrat should be supporting violence. We know there are states that have issues of violence with these extreme-right groups.

...Patriot Prayer is a far-right group active in the Pacific Northwest. Over the past three years, the group has hosted and promoted rallies in progressive cities like Portland, frequently engaging in violence against their political opponents. Patriot Prayer rallies regularly include the Proud Boys, a hate group, and various antigovernment extremist groups. In 2018, the FBI included the Washington-Oregon Proud Boys during a presentation to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office on “domestically inspired acts of violence.” The FBI advised, “Proud Boys members have contributed to the recent escalation of violence at political rallies held on college campuses, and in cities like Charlottesville, Virginia, Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington,” a report from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office stated....

Clark County Sheriff’s Office - Law enforcement DEPENDS on the FBI to combat violence and terrorism. If Republicans want to make enemies of the FBI then they don't care about the USA Constitution or peace and tranquility in the USA. The FBI is one of the most valuable "on the ground" intelligence services in the world.

President Biden is using the intelligence services appropriately. Recently, he stated there was only minimal to moderately reliable information about Russia using local terrorists to assassinate American soldiers. There was no exaggeration in his statements.

Intelligence agencies are vital to the USA's democracy. It is how this country monitors and eliminates dangers. Republicans attacking USA intelligence does not believe in democracy or practicing it.

The only thing that bothers me about this case is the fact Trump issued orders to form a federally funded task force. Reinoehl was not simply added to the Most Wanted by the FBI, he was targeted to be found.

My understanding is that the task force consisted of US Marshals (click here). Congress needs to investigate this issue and decide if that was an appropriate use of the US Marshals. Any law enforcement agency should be taking orders from its commanders. This was a group of US Marshals giving the assignment to find one particular American. I find that more than upsetting. I don't mind that Reinhoehl was found. It is unfortunate he was killed, but, what does bother me is that other than the murder of a White Supremacist sympathizer he was not a danger to the country. It is worrisome to realize one particular American was hunted down and killed. That is a problem the USA Congress needs to address.

The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office (click here) announced Wednesday it has completed its seven-month investigation of a federally deputized task force that shot and killed Portland activist Michael Forest Reinoehl last summer....

...The incident took place at an apartment complex in Olympia, where Reinoehl had been on the run for his suspected role in the shooting death of a pro-Trump demonstrator in Portland days earlier. Surveillance footage of that shooting obtained by OPB shows Reinoehl seeming to initiate contact with 39-year-old Aaron “Jay” Danielson outside a parking garage....

...After Danielson died, Reinoehl fled Oregon.

While the investigation is complete, the sheriff’s office has not yet released the full report. On Wednesday, investigators released a two-page statement with some of their findings.

The Washington State Patrol Crime Lab matched a .380 casing found in Reinoehl’s vehicle after the police shooting to the .380 pistol in his possession. Reinoehl was the only person with a .380 caliber weapon on the scene, according to the investigator managing the case, Lt. Cameron Simper.

“The casing to that was found inside his vehicle in a position that would be consistent with him firing out that window,” Simper said.

Reinoehl did have a loaded .380 pistol on him when he was killed, but it was found inside his right front pants pocket. Despite that, investigators insist that, based on law enforcement and witness statements, they believe Reinoehl fired the round, was shot by police, and put his gun inside his pants pocket....

During a campaign rally in Greenville, North Carolina, (click here) on Thursday, President Trump again praised the U.S. Marshals who shot and killed anti-fascist activist Michael Reinoehl, who was suspected of killing far-right supporter Aaron J. Danielson days earlier during a clash between protesters in Portland, adding that the officers "didn't want to arrest him."

While criticizing anti-racism protests in Portland, Trump spoke about Reinoehl, who was shot at with 37 rounds by a U.S. Marshal task force on September 3 in Olympia, Washington.

"We sent in the U.S. Marshals, took 15 minutes, it was over, 15 minutes it was over, we got him," Trump said.

The situation has been marred by conflicting reports, both from the officers and several eyewitnesses interviewed by the New York Times....

Trump used the US Marshals to carry out his politics. Fact.

ANTIFA is the natural enemy of the Republicans. Democrats should know how to address it.

Online battles between far right groups and anti-fascists (click here)– or "Antifa" – are now regularly spilling out onto the streets of America. But who are Antifa and what do they represent? Anisa Subedar and Mike Wendling went to the West coast of America to find out for Seriously... podcast Political Violence in America. Here are seven facts you need to know.

1. How long have Antifa been around?

Some Antifa groups date the origins of their movement to fights against European fascists in the 1920s and 1930s. Mark Bray, author of Antifa: The Anti-Fascist Handbook, says the modern American Antifa movement began in the 1980s with a group called Anti-Racist Action. Its members confronted neo-Nazi skinheads at punk gigs in the American Midwest and elsewhere. By the early 2000s, the Antifa movement was mostly dormant - until the rise of Donald Trump and the alt-right....

The BBC has no problem addressing extremism. ANTIFA is a movement with no central headquarters or regular meetings. It is an affiliation for those that feel the need to counter the political hatred of the Republicans in supporting White Supremacy/White Nationalism as was displayed at the insurrection.

The intelligence networks in the USA are targets of the same hatred shown ANTIFA because they appear to be biased. There were no ANTIFA arrested during or after the insurrection. The fact there were no ANTIFA demonstrators only means they didn't get the same message from Trump as the White Supremacists did. Normally, ANTIFA will manifest where White Nationalists are gathering. No opposition group to Trump White Nationalists were there that day. That is interesting.

Governor Roy Cooper reached by the right wing divide in North Carolina with this ad.

He made sure to let the people of North Carolina know there was a danger to them and to health care workers in one ad. It put together the ideas of stressed hospitals, their staff, and the idea that health care workers are God's work.

This is a governor that accepts his responsibility in protecting the citizens of North Carolina from disease. Other governors play the Trump Card and gamble with people's lives. Mississippi is a proven problem for the USA as citizens there go unvaccinated.

The political power of disblief and mistrust is a political teaching of the right wing politicos.

...This pattern made me wonder (click here) whether many progressive-led governments were spending so much effort designing fair-seeming processes that they were failing at the most basic goal of a mass vaccination program: getting shots into arms. That error has held down vaccination rates across much of continental Europe. And it appeared to be an early problem in California and New York.

But it has not turned out to be much of an issue in the U.S. Instead, the states with the highest vaccination rates are now mostly Democratic-leaning, and the states with the lowest rates are deeply conservative....

The very science of the vaccines is rejected by most of the south and it is no surprise that Mississippi leads the way in failed relationships with the vaccine and American citizens. They believe in religion and not science. They elect people out of habit, not competency.

Now, the problem today is not necessarily race so much as the church. We saw religious leaders intentionally expose their congregations to danger because they of the demand of proving god is all-powerful.

Internationally the same paradigm is true. There was a Korean group that believed being given some sort of solution on the tongue was protection from the virus so long as their religious leader supplied the liquid. That congregation saw illness and death with no protection from the virus.

In the UK, the power of disbelief and mistrust was carried as a mantle by Prime Minister Boris Johnson until he became deathly ill and nearly didn't survive the virus. Only then did he begin to shut down areas of the UK and administer shots.

The SARS-CoV-2 virus lives on a year later because of the failure of faith leaders leading the way to take a vaccine or giving voice to the dangers and precautions. The one church that was most vocal and protective was the Roman Catholic Church. They were the last churches to open to a congregation again. And why? Because the Roman Catholic Church believes in science and has it's own scientific branch to bring its insight to the Pope.

There is a problem in the world and in the USA with religion interfering in applications of sound science in relation to disease. We saw the same paradigm with HIV in Africa when it came to using condoms to stop the spread. This paradigm is not new but, we know now it is more deadly than ever.

The Republicans are a public nuisance. They don't believe in government or science.

Currently, the legislative Republicans are complaining more than being concerned about the people of this country. That is narcissism and they are diagnosable. Why? Because they are unethical and dangerous to the public. They want chaos and refuse to be a part of sincere governance. The patterns of disbelief and mistrust work for their political goals because it is ensconced in the party.

Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee (click here) used the panel’s first public hearing in five years on the United States' most dire global threats to air a range of domestic grievances to intelligence and law enforcement leaders Thursday — from the prosecution of former Trump administration official Michael Flynn to the Steele dossier to antifa....

Republicans have not governed for some time now, they practice politics every minute of every day. They don't love this country for the success it brings in the way of support to a global economy, they loath it for the taxes they have to pay. If it weren't for taxes the USA would not be a global economic leader or opportunity.

Washington - House Republicans (click here) sharply questioned intelligence officials on Thursday about their work on domestic violent extremism, expressing concerns about the fact that the agencies could be asked to spy on Americans.

In a contentious hearing of the House Intelligence Committee, Republican lawmakers expressed doubts about intelligence agencies and said they were worried about how they had handled a range of matters, including the suspension of a former senior Trump administration official as the general counsel of the National Security Agency and the F.B.I.’s view of the threat from the loose far-left movement known as antifa.

The most enlightening exchange was between Representative Chris Stewart, Republican of Utah, and Avril D. Haines, the director of national intelligence. Mr. Stewart began by asking whether the intelligence community was spying on Americans by doing work on domestic violent extremism....

They don't care about the country, they care about themselves and the power-holding an office brings.

Look at Georgia. Finally, Georgia has broken free of the tyranny of disbelief and mistrust. It took a herculean effort lead by Stacy Abrams to bring citizens to vote at all and then vote for Democrats. Georgia's future is better today than before they turned the state blue in the US Senate. The people are empowered by the VOTE and what does the state legislature do? Rather than rewarding the people for taking charge of the future of the state, they pass voting laws deliberately to oppress the very people that voted in 2020.

The map above shows clearly the states where Republicans have oppressed the people when it comes to freedom. Those states trust their faith leaders more than they trust the government.

There is a DIRECT LINK between Republicans, poverty, and insurrection. It should not be a surprise that faith leaders are a danger to the public when it comes to their willingness to be political leaders as well. That isn't supposed to happen in the USA, but, is anyone taking away non-profit status from churches mired in political activism from the pulpit?

Republicans CHRONICALLY turn the truth into lies and it manifested to a pinnacle with Trump. The Republicans are again trying to turn the truth into lies through right-wing media that profits from being the propagandists. That is the trouble with fighting SARS-CoV-2 and its variants in the USA. People will die of the disease before they will get vaccinated. It is a problem that has faced the country for decades.

The difference today is that Trump was and remains incompetent because it serves his purposes. Narcissism.

George W. Bush when faced with SARS from China lead the world to end the virus before it killed any Americans or other citizens of other countries. George W. Bush was competent enough to realize what SARS would do to the American economy and the global economy he and his father helped to build.

In states overwhelmed by the virus and it's variants probably need health care workers to invoke a massive strike in those states where people refuse the vaccine. They are the front line in this particular struggle and it is they that also die when hospitals are overwhelmed and lack sufficient PPE to protect them. If health care workers would take a stand in the states where the fewest are vaccinated and refuse to provide care, it might work. If nothing else it would protect the hospitals and their workers to practice their craft with people in sincere need of medical treatment and not simply savage lives that could have been protected with a vaccine.

The hospitals in the states with the fewest citizens vaccinated are used to recover "the Trump herd." They survive if they are lucky enough and have some degree of immunity.

Poverty is a catalyst to Republican rhetoric and votes. Religion enforces poverty as a burden that when lived correctly finds it's greatest rewards in heaven. It is notable that Republicans enforce the poverty paradigm and do not fight it. Decades of poverty. Decades. Is it profoundly racism or simply power politics?

Nothing has changed.

Michael Brown died a heinous death no different than Adam Toledo.

Congress is to fire LaJoy NOW!

Mail delivery is on an impossible to keep schedule. Mail carriers are said to have delivered packages to an address and left them on the porch or in the driveway and the delivery never happened.

Got that?

Mail carriers are said to have made deliveries that never occurred.

It is breaking Amazon's back. Amazon is coping with DeJoy's idea of a postal service internally. Packages said to be delivered are not and Amazon customer service asks the customers to wait one more day to get their products. Customer service personnel then call the next day before 5PM to check whether the package was delivered or not. If not the shipment can be DUPLICATED or the customer gets full credit for the products.

Mind you, the products are SOMEWHERE in the system, Amazon simply does not know where. Amazon is losing money for products undelivered causing repeat sending of their inventory and/or customers are receiving credit back for the products they didn't receive and the package at some point in time is delivered only VERY LATE. The customer receives a credit and receives the products eventually as well and are not required to report the actual delivery.

THE SOVEREIGNTY OF THE US POST OFFICE IS LOST AND DEJOY DID IT!

Amazon and other merchants need to file lawsuits against the US Post Office for lost merchandise and demand the current management be fired and new personnel be assigned from the Board of Trustees to the Post Master General. Any merchant experiencing the same thing needs to create a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT and part of the settlement and/or judgment is to replace the incompetent management that did this to our sovereign US Post Office.

NOW!

NOW!

NOW!

DeJoy and his enablers are destroying the USA economy!

NOW!

NOW!

NOW!

Destroying the sovereignty of the US Post Office whether it is incompetency or not is litigable and the parties involved should be in jail by now.

Jeff Bezos needs to pay attention !

Package delivery has been the main stay of the SARS-CoV-2 economy and DeJoy is making it impossible to make critical deliveries! People that can’t get deliveries are not going to follow precautions necessarily. DeJoy is putting lives in danger! The sovereign US Post Office is under assault!

The Supreme Court has been Radicalized by Federalist Society

The Federalist Society judges will lead to religious anarchy, hence, a loss of the USA Constitution. The Constitution is about governance, not the lack of it. That governance includes allowing religious freedom to worship not the ability of religion to take over the country.

There is good reason to look to the expansion of the Supreme Court. What has to be noted is the fact Chief Justice John Roberts is in the minority. A growing number of decisions places him in the minority. That should be a concern of all the members of Congress. There is something wrong with a Chief Justice seeks to move the court to the PROPER interpretation of the Rule of Law and Legal Precedent and the majority refuses to relinquish radicalization.

John Robert's decisions cannot be ignored. There is a balance of decision-making that is not being achieved and he knows it.

April 15, 2021
By Mark Joseph Stern

Late on Friday night, (click here) the Supreme Court issued a 5–4 decision in Tandon v. Newsom, which blocked California’s COVID-related ban on religious gatherings in private homes. Chief Justice John Roberts dissented, as did the three liberal justices, making Tandon yet another COVID decision in which Justice Amy Coney Barrett’s vote made the difference.

Although the conservative majority’s decision was unsigned and ran just four pages long, it radically altered the law of religious liberty. Since 1990’s Employment Division v. Smith, the Supreme Court has not interpreted the First Amendment’s free exercise clause to require religious exemptions to laws that don’t discriminate against religion. In Tandon, however, the majority effectively overturned Smith by establishing a new rule, often called the “most favored nation” theory. Under this doctrine, any secular exemption to a law automatically creates a claim for a religious exemption, vastly expanding the government’s obligation to provide religious accommodations to countless regulations. In Tandon, for instance, the Supreme Court held that California had to let people gather indoors for Bible study because it allowed them to gather indoors to get a haircut, eat, or take a bus; if Californians can get pedicures, they must also be permitted to spend hours in close quarters discussing the Bible. And the Supreme Court created this sweeping new rule through its shadow docket—those cases decided with minimal briefing and no oral argument outside the court’s normal procedure....

We all know the political right has practiced INCREMENTALISM in changing the tone of the USA Rule of Law. This is another of those leanings. The majority decision is creating loopholes in the standard.

...Jim Oleske: In the very beginning, the court said its prior decisions had “made the following points clear.” It then laid out the “most favored nation” theory of religious exemptions. The principal authority cited is the Roman Catholic Diocese v. Cuomo decision from this past fall—in which the court did not adopt that theory! Instead, the court said that New York had singled out religion for disfavored treatment, which would be consistent with Smith. It was only in separate opinions that various justices talked about “most favored nation” theory explicitly—the same justices who were talking about it in dissents over the summer before Justice Amy Coney Barrett had joined the court....

The radical right court is building on its own bad decisions and ignoring the very decision it made based in "favored nation theory." Favored nation theory is normally seen in international law and not domestic law. Basically, the religious right is CREATING a division between the general law of the land and that of the religious demands noted in EVANGELICAL GOALS to be AN AUTONOMOUS RULING AUTHORITY.

What we saw with Trump was a goal-oriented president seeking to end the USA Consitution and replace it with a king. In this instance, the radical right judges are seeking to declare any Religious Order, such as Evangelicals, autonomous ruling authority with them only answering to god and not the law. Well, if a religious sect in this country happens to worship the devil, according to the ambitions of Coney and her cohorts in the lower and appellate divisions, then the country is susceptible to the rulings of the Devil.

The five radically right judges have gone too far and the only mechanism to rein them in is to add judges to the Supreme Court to bring back a healthy balance of decision making. How many people knew when Coney-Barrett was confirmed that the Supreme Court would become a sideshow of the religious right circus? It has arrived, the five clowns to the circus are more than willing to entertain the understanding that religious PRACTICE in the USA is an autonomous and ungovernable body.

At a time when SARS-CoV-2 cases are spiking after Spring Break...

I wanted to remind readers about New Zealand.

11 April 2021
By Helen Livingstone

To the left is the New Zealand infection rate graph.

Border workers (click here) have until the end of April to be vaccinated before being moved to lower risk roles, the prime minister, Jacinda Ardern, has said after a third worker from Auckland’s Grand Millenium managed isolation facility tested positive for Covid-19.

“We want everyone to be vaccinated on our frontline,” she told TVNZ’s Breakfast on Monday.

“From Monday through until the end of April, that becomes the final window where if people are not vaccinated in that period of time then they are redeployed, they are moved on. And that was always the point we had to get to.”

Her comments came hours before it was confirmed that the worker, known as case C, had not been vaccinated, adding to concerns raised last week when it was made public that case B had missed two vaccine appointments....

This came in an email to me. I never received the Pfizer vaccine.

A killed virus vaccine means it has dead components of the virus in the injection. Many, other vaccines the Ameican people receivce are manufactured in the same way. This is a standard method of making vaccines, but, this is an extraordinary virus.

A pause in administration of the J&J vaccine is appropriate for evaluation of the side effects which can cause death or strokes, even heart issues.

The Johnson & Johnson vaccine (click here) has entered regulatory purgatory. This morning, the CDC and FDA jointly recommended, “out of an abundance of caution,” a nationwide halt to the single shot’s rollout. The two agencies are investigating a rare blood-clotting disorder: In the six cases reported so far, all in the United States, women ages 18 to 48 developed an unusual type of blood clot within about two weeks of receiving the company’s inoculation.

Experts haven’t yet conclusively determined whether J&J’s vaccine is directly causing these strange clots, or how frequently the condition might be occurring, because they’re relying largely on people reporting their health conditions to federal agencies. Roughly 7 million doses of the vaccine have been administered so far in the United States; among them were about 1 million women under the age of 50. “I think it’s reasonable to say it is a rare event, but I don’t think we should go into false precision in this kind of situation,” Saad Omer, a vaccine expert at Yale, told me. “Our numerators and denominators are still emerging.”

Though the pause isn’t mandatory, most states have decided to temporarily pull the J&J vaccine and replace it with shots made by Moderna and Pfizer-BioNTech—neither of which has been associated with clots—when possible. The announcement has, within a matter of hours, trapped past and future recipients of J&J’s jabs in an uneasy limbo....

Human metabolism varies to some extent by individuals. There are dearly important sameness in human metabolism and that is a good thing. But, when a virus like SARS-CoV-2 manifests we have witnessed how such a monster can effect different ethnicities, different ages and different genders.

It is not surprising to find there are different responses in some people. What the medical investigators in the USA want to determine is what sets the chain reaction off that causes dangerous blood clots in some people.

Some might say, "So, what? We are going to get the vaccine anyway." That is not a true statement.

The medical investigators are seeking to understand the effects that trigger a dangerous reaction to the J&J vaccine. It is an intolerance that must be understood to stop such circumstances. If a basis of the blood clots are found in understanding why some people are NOT GOOD CANDIDATES for the vaccine, then they can be given a different vaccine while many, many others can still safely receive the J&J vaccine and develop immunity.

This CAREFUL dimension of the Biden Administration is new to the American people after the gross neglect of the previous administration. President Biden, his investigators and his agencies are being careful with American lives. Well. Isn't that nice? I think that is more than nice, it is VALUING EVERY AMERICAN LIFE without exception.

This investigation by no means indicates the J&J vaccine is inferior or a bad vaccine. It simply states it is different from the mRNA vaccines and it has to be understood to end a dangerous circumstance for the American people. Everyone that has received the J&J vaccine without any complications should be confident they are receiving a good dose of immunity.

Afghanistan is a "do over."

We will have been in Afghanistan for two decades or one full generation. There is no reason to stay, but, be cognizant of the fact there are still terrorists hiding in Afghanistan.

We left Afghanistan to a minimal military complement to focus primarily on Iraq. That was the wrong thing to do. The USA was never able to fully suppress the drug corruption of Afghanistan while improving the outcomes of the people.

Washington - The Sept. 11 attacks led American troops (click here) into Afghanistan in 2001 for what became a two-decade war. Now President Biden’s decision to withdraw military forces has prompted a central question: Will the threat of terrorism against America re-emerge from Afghanistan?

The answer is no, at least not right away. But over the longer term, the question is far more difficult to answer. The United States could find itself pulled back into Afghanistan much as it was in Iraq, some current and former officials warned.

Intelligence officials have offered the Biden administration an overall grim portrait of the future of Afghanistan itself, predicting that the Taliban will make battlefield gains, Afghan government forces will struggle to hold territory and a peace deal between them is unlikely. The broad outlines of that assessment were made public in an intelligence report released on Tuesday.

Still, on the critical question of whether direct threats to the United States still exist in Afghanistan, U.S. spy agencies have privately offered a rosier picture....

President Biden, who I think is a really great president, has picked an arbitrary date to bring all the troops home. It is a symbolic date that all those in Afghanistan should not ignore. The USA is not sincerely leaving Afghanistan, we are allowing two decades of protecting the people to cement into profoundly democratic governance that has no fear of the American military.

The USA has allies nearby that require vigilance. We have had a questionably loyal relationship with Pakistan. Pakistan allowed a radical religious sect, the Taliban, to reconstitute into a militia with deadly intent. Pakistan also allowed Osama bin Laden to live under the protection of it's ISI. The ISI is nearly an autonomous body in Pakistan and there is doubt as to the president of the country having knowledge of bin Laden's existence in Pakistan. No one will ever convince me that the ISI knew nothing of bin Laden's residence and his covert activities that used thumb drives and couriers to order heinous acts by others within the al Qaeda network.

Under President Obama, the safe haven bin Laden had was ended, and ultimately the house destroyed by the Pakistan government.

Pakistan also tolerates to this day the Haqqani Network. They are a drug cartel with a great deal of power because of their lucrative poppy business. From the beginning of the Afghanistan retaliative invasion by the USA I stated we should march through Pakistan to reach Afghanistan's al Qaeda network, but, Don Rumsfeld opted for a "paid by the taxpayer" fly-over privilege. Those monies that went to Pakistan allowed the country to order munitions from China. Those monies allowed China to build 100 more nuclear warheads. IT WAS A MISTAKE OF MONUMENTAL PROPORTION.

The USA will be leaving behind an Embassy (click here) and a vibrant diplomatic effort. The USA, through USAID, has many partnerships with Afghanistan. When the USA military leaves Afghanistan with all it's munitions and hardware, it will not be leaving a blank slate for any other country or terrorist organization to occupy. China and Russia should conduct their interests in Afghanistan accordingly.

The USA military needs to have at the ready a plan to institute another offensive into Afghanistan if the country fails in it's commitments to the US. There are many, many improvements in Afghanistan to further it's economy, including, roads and bridges. It would be a shame if those were destroyed by the USA military in a reoccupation of a dangerous country.

The USA is always demanding peace. It demands people to live a good quality of life. It demands countries move to take care of those most vulnerable to disease. And in Afghanistan, the USA demands equality for women and girls, an opportunity for women to serve in the government and be educated at universities.

There are many good and decent reasons for the USA military to have a hand on Afghanistan to increase stability while eliminating the influence of Daesh and other terrorist networks. The USA military also needs to decide about Pakistan. Is Pakistan a friend or so disinterested in it's alliance that any manner of governance is good governance. The Haqqani Network must be dismantled and any terrorist influence in Pakistan ended, that includes disloyal people within the ISI that sabotage the Pakistani governance and substitutes terrorist fear as a real solution to any president.

The Late Ambassador to Afghanistan, Richard Holbrook (click here) had expectations for that country that cannot be forgotten. I don't know if the USA Afghanistan Embassy has been named yet, but, it should bear his name.

Those hopes are not empty dreams. Afghanistan has an opportunity to take what has occurred over two decades and become a real country and not simply a terrorist haven. The Afghan people are good people. They love their country and their families. They also welcome change and improvement and they do not tolerate corruption.

The region needs to remain stable. The USA is bringing their troops home after many have died, but, it also has expectations for that country and at the first sign of deterioration of it's democracy the USA will never think twice to occupy it once again.

Afghanistan and Pakistan are challenges to the USA military and one that it should welcome to protect NATO allies and insure terrorism doesn't rule again in that country or the region.

A drug defense for Chauvin is ridiculous.

Police are suppose to protect life. The idea drugs caused George Floyd’s death goes against every mandate on the books. Police have tools to save lives when encountering drug overdose. The idea somehow drugs in anyone’s bloodstream is a reason to hasten or further death is allowing police too much authority.

Fentynl kills immediately when taken in larger than prescribed amounts. George Floyd did not die immediately of a fentanyl. If anything the fentanyl amount in his system would have a calming effect. He was big man it would take a lot of fentanyl to cause his death.

Chauvin was called to account on the scene of George Floyd’s death by a fellow officer. One officer stated he was concerned for George Floyd’s deterioration and death. Chauvin never paused. He never ended the restraint. He never allowed concern for an impending death.
