Hi

The world has gotten to be a strange and unpredictable place. If it's climate it is a global pandemic. If it isnt' a global pandemic, it is Russia being stupid. I can't believe Putin did this. It is so upsetting to realize how completely out of control his rule of Russia has become.

Putin's place in all the violence in Ukraine and the deaths only goes to prove no man should have nuclera power at his fingertips forever.

What is so shocking about the invasion into Ukraine is the reckless abandon of all these civilian attacks and deaths. Insurgents will happen even if the entire country was emptied in time for the first tank to roll across the border. There is no military strategy that permits this level of destruction or a kill at will order. I don't understand why this has been so bloody and damaging to families. There is no excuse. This was about the worst insult to human life the world has witnessed in a long time.

This is a story out of California of the depth to which the American Ukranian community is feeling these attacks by Russia, Putin in particular. It proves that love of family runs deep and the willingness to be a part of survival runs deeper, especially when there are children involved.

There was no debate. No wavering. No pleading. (click here)

The day the Russians invaded Ukraine, the Rev. Petro Dyachok knew that his wife, Natalya , had only one choice: to go back to their homeland. Their 31-year-old daughter, a registered nurse raising her two children there, refused to leave her husband who was preparing to fight. Natalya needed to be with them.

“I said, ‘I can’t close your Ukrainian heart’,” said Dyachok, 55, “and in one day I had a ticket for her.”

As images fill the news of millions of women and children fleeing Ukraine — and the horrors of some young families not making it out alive — others like Natalya Dyachok are defying the dangers and heading in.

Her husband wanted to join her, but his congregations in Santa Clara and in San Francisco are struggling with their own fears for relatives caught in Ukraine and needed him, too....
