Donald Trump is learning how fickle the Republican voter can be.

Perhaps he needs to run an ad to overcome the political status he is receiving. But, I do believe Senator McCain isn't interested in an apology. Senator McCain stated he believes Donald Trump needs to apologize to the country's military members. 

Voters respect apologies and this is an important understanding when it comes to the military. These women and men put their lives on the line for this country and to a degree they are above any criticism. However, there are individuals that have been prosecuted for wrongful deaths in both Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan. 

Today in 2015, the American people are careful to focus on the individual soldier and not the entire US military. There have been problems between the American civilian authority and the US military. All those issues receive scrutiny and are corrected. But, just the same the Republicans will never admit their wars have been primarily illegal and immoral and it might be there are candidates that recognize that.

Businessman Donald Trump (click here) surged into the lead for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination, with almost twice the support of his closest rival, just as he ignited a new controversy after making disparaging remarks about Sen. John McCain’s Vietnam War service, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll.
