President John F. Kennedy never gave a second thought to asking his brother to take the Presidential Cabinet position of Attorney General. Why? Because he knew the trustworthiness of the man that would serve the USA.
When it comes to asking personal friends and relatives to serve in government in offices with prestige and financial gain it always raises suspicions as to the real motivation. The point is the USA respected the Late Attorney General Kennedy and this building proves it.
I find the Georgia case against Former President Trump overwhelming. As a responsible prosecutor would Fani Willis seek to place the case in very capable hands even if it means controversies? Yes.
I think the current case in Georgia preceding the actual trial is nothing but COVID brain fog by Trump. He can’t seem to come to terms with the truth regarding his criminal acts and is using money to purchase gambles that he can actually derail the truth. It is a shame that a gas lighter like Trump is actually given brevity by lawyers for profit and the media for sensationalism.
Trump lawyers are seeking to reinvent the wheel. They are parsing words and are using the hearing to create social controversies.
Basically, the defense council has no defense.
It is beneficial to the Trump Campaign to create the idea of having to deal with a corrupt court by emphasizing the need for transparency (even to change the definition of lawyer-client privilege) and definition of words.
The Trump defense lawyers are attempting to do the impossible. An effective lawyer would recognize the extreme brevity of the evidence and the guilt of the client and move to minimize any forthcoming sentence.
The court hearings are another example of Trump’s desire to manipulate the conversation and has nothing to do with good practice. The Trump lawyers are probably getting paid plenty to please the demand of their client. All I can think is that any lawyer employed should realize others have fallen in efforts to please Trump’s impossible demands, ie; Sidney Powell.
The U.S.A. Republicans have passed a new milestone using a majority of their members to use impeachment as a political tool.
Homeland Security was created as a Presidential Cabinet position by Former President George W. Bush after devastating terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. It was created to incorporate the knowledge and expertise of USA agencies to end any danger domestically to the American people by terrorists globally. Now, the small majority of extremists in the U.S. House have acted in defiance of the U.S. Constitution in an act of political anarchy and impeached a perfectly qualified Secretary of Homeland Security. This political act is a violation of the USA National Security.
The American people need to realize how their security domestically is being trivialized by US House Republicans for politics. This is more of the trivialized national security agenda of the Firmer Trump Administration who is now directing an entire political party. One man is demanding undying leadership of an wntire political party in the uSA. One man. The Republicans are not governing by consensus, but, through illegitimate autocracy.
The USA is not going to be a militarized southern border to the USA because it would open this country to a border war that would be backed by communists like Russia and China and terrorists like Hezbollah out of Venezuela. The answer to mass migration out of the Northern Triad is to strength their economies, defeat drug cartels and allow the people domestic peace within their sovereign borders.
We take the fight to them. We don’t allow the instability to come to us. A huge player in mass migration globally is the climate crisis and the trivial Republicans don’t even recognize it.
The USA lost control of its southern border under Trump. Militarizing it is not the answer. A strong conversation has to begin in recognizing the problem, the migrating people, the problems they may cause and the labor answer they also bring in their willingness to work. The answer domestically is peace and strength within our borders, not bringing war to our sovereign bidets.
Trump and his minions are crazy and weak in their ability to solve problems . Their approach defies peace and welcomes chaos and violence. The domestic gun issue is a direct result of very poor domestic policy of right wing political extremists.
The people spoke in 2020. That voice was for governance and not violence!
I expect the Minority Leader Hakeem Jefferies to be out front leading a strong vote in the U.S. House. Max Boot has an interesting opinion in the Washington Post.
The House Speaker is not capable of governance so much as politics. I would think US Intelligence is more damning than Max Boot, too.
Johnson has no conscience. He and Trump are scared of losing their majority along the southern border. That is all they focus on. Today, under Johnson’s leadership the USA national security is in danger. There is no turning away from allies and expect USA national security to be intact.
According to what I am reading 67 others were killed in the raid. What I am not reading is how many of those 67 were Hamas?
The King of Jordan was at the White House to advocate a ceasefire or more. There is an understanding that MBS is vital to ending the violence with Hezbollah.
This is very simple in many ways. I think most everyone agrees Hamas is a terrorist organization and not a governing authority. Hamas needs to surrender, provide proof of hostage death or release and end the Palestinians’ bondage as human shields.
If NATO looks the other way, this is exactly what will occur with Ukraine.

Conway – Former President Donald Trump (click here) said America would not defend NATO allies against Russia if they did not meet his definition of contributing enough defense spending, threatening to upend the alliance if elected president again in 2024.
Trump has long criticized defense spending by other NATO member countries and has long falsely suggested there are unpaid balances owed by allies, but Saturday's remarks during a campaign rally in Conway, S.C., went a step further as he suggested Russia should attack allies that are "delinquent" with contributions.
"If we don't pay and we're attacked by Russia, will you protect us?," Trump recalled another country's leader asking while him while he was president. "No, I would not protect you. In fact, I would encourage them to do whatever the hell they want."...
This is retribution and nothing short of it. Alliances are far more than money. They are a commitment to stand with each other and protect the sovereign rights of the citizens. Reducing an alliance to obedience over funding is sick and lacks profound understanding of what national security actually is made of and why standing alone is idiocy.
Our allies put their military lives on the line along with us. This is not a minor issue. This is not simply politics or campaign fodder, this is a change in the way people think that will open them up to danger as they have never before experienced. The passivity of the USA previous to WWII was due to the importance placed on wealth and trade. It was absolutely idiocy to allow Europe to crumble while wealth merchants played a game that ultimately brought the war to USA shores.
Nearly 24 million Russians died in WWII of which half were civilians. There were Russians in those concentration camps that died along side others in the crematories. I would think this is NOTHING they would idealize again because the borders of Russia has changed and the people are happy living within a democracy.

She has strong feelings about things and her fans appreciate her for her moral character. It is exciting and wonderful to see her in love. It would be wonderful for her and Travis Kelcie if this is true love and the story continues.
She has been dedicated to her career and seems to be a good business woman. Her shows don’t lack in quality which speaks to her love for her fans. I hope for them, Taylor, and Travis this friendship becomes the real thing.
It was a special expression of the respect and affection Travis has for Taylor by bringing her family to the Superbowl. Very, very special. Let’s hope all her travel plans work well AND SAFELY for her arrival to watch the big game. It is noteworthy she didn’t cancel any performances to be at the Superbowl. I think it demonstrates her dedication and priorities to her career and her loyalty to her fans.

Section 3 of the 14th Amendment was voted on by Congress; by a majority of its members; and passed so that it could be voted on by a majority of Americans to pass safeguards to the U.S. Constitution. No justice in any court has a right to disallow the will of the majority of federal legislators and states full of citizens because to exercise the will of those people is inconvenient for their politics.
American men and women died during the Civil War to defend the U.S.A. Constitution. That sacrifice cannot be ignored by extremists sitting on the Supreme Court of the United States of America.

Dick Durbin, (click here) the chair of the Senate Judiciary committee, called for Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas to recuse himself from weighing in on whether former President Donald Trump can be removed from states’ 2024 ballots for his role in the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol.
The nation’s highest court is expected to hear arguments on Thursday in the case, which centers on the Colorado Supreme Court’s decision to remove the GOP frontrunner from their state’s primary ballot. The state court ruled Trump ineligible based on the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution’s insurrection clause, a Civil War-era provision that bars those who took an oath of office as a U.S. official from federal office for participating in a rebellion or insurrection.

It's easy to get caught up (click here) on the news that the spouse of a sitting Supreme Court justice went full QAnon regarding the 2020 election, parroting conspiratorial delusions around how "the Biden crime family" would be "living in barges off GITMO to face a military tribunal" for the grievous crime of getting more votes than "This Great President." (Scattergun capitalization appears to be a hallmark of the politically unhinged.) Granted, Thomas seemed to legitimately believe Trump really won, likely because she boiled her own brain in a vat of right-wing Internet. But within its sterling writeup of Ginni Thomas's communications with then-White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows—as Donald Trump's coterie attempted to overturn the results of an election he lost so that he could stay in power in contravention of the will of the American public—the Washington Post flagged an important detail....
Trump spoke publicly during this period about his intent to contest the election results in the Supreme Court. “This is a major fraud on our nation,” the president said in a speech at 2:30 the morning after the election. “We want the law to be used in a proper manner. So we’ll be going to the U.S. Supreme Court.”...
It is all so cozy, isn't it? Like a family sort of. No. Not family, a religious conspiracy against a democracy that allows freedom is more the picture.

Beginning in the early 1980s, (click here) when it was not exactly cool to be a conservative law student, a small group of students started a club, named in honor of The Federalist Papers, where they could safely discuss their right-of-center views. Fast-forward 40 years and six of the nine sitting Supreme Court Justices are current or former members of that club....
Never in my wildest imagination did I expect a Chief Justice confused about the Rule of Law. This is a no brainer. Robert’s doesn’t understand the words of the 14th Amendment? The courts after the civil war never had a problem understanding the English language of that Constitutional Amendment. Trump is guilty as sin through his own actions and words.
John Roberts is bringing shame to his court. According to him every state will bring lawsuits that remove a candidate from office on the grounds of insurrection. For real now? It is all nonsense.
Colorado is correct and other states that allow Trump a place to be president are corrupted. This is just plain wrong!

The 49-50 vote, far short of the 60 ayes needed to take up the bill, came after most Republicans said they would vote against the legislation, which also includes $60 billion in wartime aid to Ukraine and $14 billion for Israel and was backed by President Joe Biden. GOP lawmakers had insisted that the money for conflicts abroad be paired with help for the U.S. border....
On August 14, 2023, (click here) a Fulton County, Georgia grand jury indicted Donald Trump on 13 counts of criminal felonies. The charges revolve around Trump’s and 18 co-defendants’ efforts to overturn the will of the voters and interfere with the results of the 2020 presidential election.
On August 24, 2023, Donald Trump surrendered at the Fulton County Jail in Georgia. As part of his release, he agreed to a $200,000 bond and certain release terms, including agreeing not to use social media to target or harass his co-defendants or witnesses who might appear in the criminal proceedings.
All 19 defendants, including Trump, are charged with criminal racketeering under Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act, which ties together individual criminal acts into a broader criminal network and conspiracy.
The Fulton County, Georgia indictment was brought by a grand jury of everyday citizens convened by DA Fani Willis. DA Willis is a highly respected veteran prosecutor who has been investigating Trump and his allies efforts to meddle with the 2020 election for more than two-and-a-half years.
The grand jury heard from many witnesses, including state officials who were asked by Trump and his allies to help overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.
What I find incredibly unsettling is the persistent harassment by Mr. Trump of Mr. Raffensperger who diligently was trying to get him to understand they have found no fraud in the election. I sincerely believe Mr. Raffensperger thought Mr. Trump was misdirected by others and needed to understand the facts and not fiction. I think there is great respect of the former president to listen and validate his concerns, but, Trump gave them no respect in return.
I think Mr. Raffensperger is a great American. I believe he loves the country and the rule of law. He has integrity and that means a lot.

The jury in federal court in Washington found that Giuliani owes the workers, Wandrea "Shaye" Moss and her mother Ruby Freeman, roughly $73 million to compensate them for the reputational and emotional harm they suffered and $75 million to punish the former Trump lawyer and one-time New York mayor for his conduct....
Sorry folks, but, the conspiracy touted by the Trump camp is so big that it falls as false by it's own weight.
It is time for the Federal Communication Commission to monitor the blatant lies in some media services (click here). According to the Newsweek article a woman with the convoy that went to the USA southern border found the conditions at the border were not as bad as she thought.
Ya know, infotainment is causing Americans a lot of stress in broadcasting blatant lies. No American needs more stress in relation to their own personal safety and the safety of their family members.
The USA has been experiencing a booming labor market. Wages have kept up with inflation and in most instances show a small margin increase over inflation. In the last year inflation is far less than the year before.
Personally, a private industry job I work increased my pay 28 percent as a retention issue. I never asked for it and it is not union. Then management opened the number of hours worked to be decided by the individual while holding the line on hours required to work.
President Joe Biden has conducted a magnificent return of the USA following a very volatile and deadly presidency preceding him. His job rating on the economy should be substantially better than it is. Additionally, President Biden and the Secretary of Defense never treated the USA military capacity as muscle bound. The use of our military has been more than appropriate in addressing genocide, potential threats to NATO, showing strength in the Pacific, and being a strong ally to Israel.
The FCC needs to apply power in ensuring the American people are protected from the extreme right wing media that is completely out of control. The caravan of concerned Americans traveling to the southern USA border is uninformed and upset as well as being armed. The FCC is not doing its job and allowing frank and dangerous lies to cause such dangerous actions by Americans that sincerely love their country, but, have media full of misinformation and misdirection in reporting.
It is profitable to be conjuring up lies, but, that is also illegal. Infotainment is false advertising and Americans don’t realize it.
This attack was empowered by Iranian weapons purchased by terrorists. Iran supports terrorists and no matter how much Iran wants to deny the decisions to attack Americans, Iran facilitates terrorists. Iran gives aid and comfort to the enemy.
This attack also took place on Jordanian soil. Jordan is an American ally. The USA would have responded anyway regardless of who was murdered by Iranian facilitated terrorists.

The state is required to fund drop boxes.
The state is required to provide prepaid stamps for absentee ballots.
The state is required to allow voters to apply ONCE for absentee ballots in future elections.
State is required to have an electronic ballot tracking and notification system.
State is required to allow military ballots to be counted up to six days after the balloting closes so long as the ballot is post marked by Election Day.
State election primary is August 6 with election balloting on November 5th.
The state is required to have early balloting for all elections starting with the second Saturday before an election and ending with the Sunday before the election. That is nine days of early balloting and includes drop off absentee ballots.
Early balloting sites must be open from 8:00 am to 4 pm all nine days.
Every presidential candidate has always been transparent with the American people. Littlejohn did what Trump should have done, except, he has no conscience. Trump says, “Vote for me,” on blind faith.
Iran on Monday (click here) denied involvement in the weekend attack on a U.S. base in Jordan that killed three Americans, saying militant groups in the region do not take orders from Tehran and that Iran "does not welcome the expansion of conflicts in the region."
But Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanaani accused the U.S. of repeatedly violating the sovereignty of Iraq and Syria and said the military strikes on militant groups in Iraq, Syria and Yemen will "escalate the cycle of instability."
“Repeating the unfounded allegations against Iran is shifting of the blame," said Kanaani, dismissing the accusations as a "plot by those who see their interests in once again getting the U.S. involved in a new conflict in the region and provoke it to expand and escalate the crisis.”...

Responsibility for the deadly attack on US forces over the weekend was claimed by Islamic Resistance in Iraq, an umbrella term used by a number of Iran-backed groups in Iraq....
Iran is one of two countries fondly thought of as a Shi'ite homeland, Iraq being the other. Iran should be ashamed of it's hateful advocating for deaths among groups that will carry out what Iran believes necessary to exist in the world. Iran is wrong and needs to stop arms shipments to terrorist groups.

Iran - which has armed, trained and funded the Houthis - stepped up its weapons supplies to the militia in the wake of the war in Gaza, which erupted after Iranian-backed militants Hamas attacked Israel on Oct. 7, the four regional sources said.
Tehran has provided advanced drones, anti-ship cruise missiles, precision-strike ballistic missiles and medium-range missiles to the Houthis, who started targeting commercial vessels in November in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza, the sources said.
IRGC commanders and advisers are also providing know-how, data and intelligence support to determine which of the dozens of vessels travelling through the Red Sea each day are destined for Israel and constitute Houthi targets, all the sources said....
The American people do not want their military under such danger. Iran should know the value of life is far higher than those it calls allies. It has become necessary to come to the aid of our ally, Israel. The American people disdain war so it is highly unadvised for Iran backed militias to be forcing a conflict with the USA. It is highly unadvised for Iran to be such a willing partner to these deaths.
Sovereign, democratic countries don't commit genocide and they don't employ terrorists to carry out violence against others.
Iran breaks all the rules and is acting more as a terrorist itself.
