Dear god, Joe, who said you should be sleeping?

"So tell me Joe where are you staying while you are in town?"

"Motel 8"

"That is not a good idea, Joe. I heard the communist extremist group bugged the place last week."

I am a little tired of the the silliness surrounding the expenditures of the Executive Office of the USA. Just a little. Do the bozos that put together these hideous articles and news reel clips together ever stop to think about what they are telling the public?

Ya, know. Like taking things out of complete context to make the point, the cheap shot, "Well, I couldn't do that." No clue.

If the Secret Service were to find a Motel 8 for the Vice President to stay in for two days, they would have to spend more money securing the place every time the Vice President made a trip for the purpose of the Executive Branch of the USA. It wasn't as though he went hiking on the Appalachian Trail and it cost $500,000 a night.

It is my best guess, this is the cost of national security for our Vice President. You know the guy next in line for leading the nation. The cost has to do with security of his one and only body. That means these locations are APPROVED by the USA Secret Service as the places they can trust to actually carry out their duties.

If journalists want to seek criticism of the spending of the USA Secret Service why not ask their director for an interview about how these decisions are made. Oh, wait. That might mean the journalists have to actually do some work to achieve their pay checks. I forgot, going for the cheap tabloid stuff is so much better than actually providing valuable information to the nation.

Paris may be known as the City of Light, (click here) but that title certainly doesn’t mean that visitors are light on spending as Vice President Joe Biden’s one day trip cost taxpayers more than half a million dollars.
When Mr Biden and his hefty entourage stayed in Paris for an evening in early February and it cost $585,000.50 for that single night.
The Vice President likely rented out more than 100 rooms in the Hotel Intercontinental Paris Le Grand, though they must not have gotten a group discount rate....

The COLDNESS.

The Weather Channel temperature map

Water Vapor is a greenhouse gas. Why? Because it takes the infrared heat from the surface of Earth and captures it. Water has THAT property. It controls heat within a 100 degree centigrade range. It makes clouds when it sticks to particles.

Earth's water vapor is no longer at Earth's surface. As a matter of fact there is more O2 in the upper atmosphere's of Earth than ever before. But, that is another aspect of the Climate Crisis that if for some reason the oxygen decides to burn in the upper tropospheres will be bad. Earth's spheres of atmosphere are out of balance in their distribution of their components, too.

Osmosis. As the balance of spheres change it is done by osmosis. The water vapor moved up and so did other gases. I posted the image about the 'sheen' in the sky before.

But, the reason there is continued cold is because there is no surface water vapor to distribute heat. There were a series of images the other day that will explain it, hopefully. I'll post them here.

Better yet, let's keep it current.

The Weather Channel temperature change map in past 24 hours.

If one viewed this map about 24 hours ago the positive numbers would have been on the west coast.

But consider that. Movement. Movement from west to east of temperature changes.

The negative numbers are very negative and the positive numbers are very positive. DOUBLE DIGITS in come areas. Yes?

What would do that? What would cross the country changing the surface temperature of the air? A weather system, right? When the weather system passes over the land the temperatures go up because the system has higher temperatures. When the weather system passes by the temperature RETURNS to a native state unaffected by the weather.

Earth by nature is an ice planet. It is the greenhouse gases that gives Earth it's biotic content.

The Weather Channel North Pole Satellite image

The purple regions are vortexes. They are weather systems traveling across the face of the planet.

The POSITIVE changing temperatures of the USA are at 6 o'clock. There is a vortex crossing the middle of the country exactly where there are positive temperature changes. The ABSENCE of water vapor at the east and west boundaries of the USA have returned to NEGATIVE temperature movement.

The other day I posted a picture by NASA illustrating the drought in New Zealand. It literally is dried up.

If I can find the video of the New Zealand weather report from the other day I'll post it here. The weather report was totally dependent on a storm crossing the country, otherwise there would be no relief from the drought.

The point is, this is happening globally. At any point on Earth there are huge tropospheric vortices 'lending' water vapor to drought stricken lands. Depending how that water vapor is captured by Earth and/or human beings it provides a water source. At one point in Australia they were putting tarps over the morning dew to prevent it from vaporizing.

The Arctic Ocean is melting. It is not increasing in density because the temperature increase there is up to 5 degrees in some areas. Just because Earth is an ice planet by nature doesn't mean it will automatically grow ice if the tropospheric temperatures remain high because the vortexes have passed over and leave coldness in their wake.

What the USA is experiencing with the coldness today is due to the LACK OF WATER VAPOR at the surface of the planet. Does that mean everything it going to recap with ice? No. It is spring, the CO2 content is still high and the sun is coming north.

To complete the picture.

The drone program grew out of the CIA Black Sites. Interrogate, torture, surveillance and attack.

The program is administered by The President because otherwise it would turn the CIA into an autonomous authority to carry out an act of war. Literally, a single CIA agent could carry out a mini-war alone.

It is questionable the real purpose of the drone program in connection with the CIA. It provides too much power to what should be exclusively an intelligence gathering arm of the USA government. The entire idea of Black Sites are wayward. They, along with the drone program, have the ability to put the USA into war without real authority to do so.

The drones may prove to help in Africa to find Rebel Groups and stop them, but, there is no real purpose beyond surveillance. The military has it's own ability to spy and always has. The military's intelligence gathering is manned by human beings.

The helicopters in the Bin Laden raid were throw away from the beginning. They had no real capacity except for the mission they were used for. The one surviving helicopter is probably a status symbol at some military base somewhere, but, has no real capacity. It is slower and has no real operational purpose.

I like 35 mm far better than digital. 35 mm is honest. If you don't understand that, then you don't understand film.

The only interesting part of this film was the operation of the team itself. Bigelow didn't understand what she was looking at when she made this film. She played politics.

The courier was there in the files of the USA the entire time. Cheney and Bush instituted torture and it was never necessary. The torture had absolutely nothing to do with the death of Osama bin Laden. The CIA under Bush lost it's focus and deferred to an Executive Branch's demands when that Executive Branch was already out of control and in violation of international laws and the USA Constitution.

The CIA never did the ground work before they embarked on torturing prisoners. They never sifted through files and put pieces together. They were focused on brutalizing prisoners and that was their only focus until President Obama came into office and the demands to end torture and return to intelligence and police work was instituted.

The information was there the entire time. Right under their noses and for nine years the CIA ignored it while there were demands made by the Bush Administration for results from torture. It was hideous, ridiculous, added to enough costs of war, prolonged the war and was a propaganda tool to enhance the culture of fear in the USA.

If Osama bin Laden was captured and/or killed within the first year or two of the Afghanistan War, it would have been over. Al Qaeda would be dead, there would be no offspring from al Qaeda, the USA would no longer need the fly zone over Pakistan and the war into Iraq would have been realized for what it was. UNNECESSARY.

Bigelow missed the entire reality of the hunt for Osama bin Laden. The evidence was there to find and to say torture was necessary completely dismisses the FACT no one had looked for him in the face of compelling information otherwise. The CIA lost it's way and it has been a growing snowball ever since.  They never applied BASIC intelligence work to finding the global criminal. Never, not one day in the Bush/Cheney White House did the CIA conduct itself as it should.

That is the real story and Bigelow missed it completely.

...I served my country, (click here) loyally and well, as a covert CIA operations officer focused on stopping nuclear weapon proliferation until the Bush administration decided to betray my secret identity as payback for my husband questioning the White House's justification for the Iraq War. The lesson was simple: If you offer the public a true story that is at odds with what the government wants you to know, they will stop at nothing to destroy you, your reputation, and the reputations of the people around you....

What was that? No Yellow Cake? Really.

Stopping nuclear weapon proliferation? Why would anyone want to do that if Cheney was counting on a limited nuclear engagement with Russia?

What Bigelow did is what everyone else did during the Bush years, they dove into lies and imagineering for money. So much for ethics and being a patriotic American, that was left up to the fools that didn't see the gravy train or wouldn't be a part of it.

Katherine Sebelius is doing to Medicare what the Republican Congress has done to the USA Post Office.

She is defunding the system and destroying the infrastructure of the USA. She can go home to Kansas and run some rural health care systems while she hands of the Medicare and Medicaid aspects of the Affordable Care Act over to the Social Security Administration where it belongs. She has been handing out waivers like candy and now she is going to privatize Medicare. This is where we came in and this is where she leaves.

The American people pay for their government. They pay for their Earned Benefits that will see them through their later years. It is time to put the monies into the USA Treasury and leave them there.

The Medicare program is not a voucher program and it will remain that way. The Medicare program is paid for by sovereign monies of the USA. Those monies will remain in the USA administered by employees of the USA and paid to doctors and hospitals for services provided in the USA.

No Wall Street health insurance company is going to take the sovereign monies of the people that paid for their benefits and invest them in China. It isn't going to happen and we are all sick and tired of the fraud that has proven to exist when Wall Street health insurance companies handle the care of Americans.

NO MORE. It is why the Affordable Care Act was passed and it is why Secretary Sebelius is guilty of violating the trust of the American people. I don't care if there are Democratic governors or Republican governors OUTSOURCING Medicare and Medicaid to Wall Street is a violation of the public trust. It is time for Katherine Sebelius to find another job. I don't want her there anymore.

If Paul Ryan and the House Republicans want to defund the Affordable Care Act then what occurs afterward belongs to them. The law remains intact and in effect. Ryan is playing politics with the budget and this is an example that proves it. He wants to defund the Affordable Care Act and remove all those Medicaid monies to the Governors that have decided it is in the best interest of their states to accept the federal funding. Ryan's goal is not the National Debt, it is to embarrass the Republican Governors that accepted the funding so that in their next primary the Tea Party can displace them. That is what this is all about, so let the Republican House get on with it and the American people can see the Ryan budget for what it finally is.

The people of the USA need to make wise choices and not the choice of ruthless Republicans willing to endanger the lives of Americans for the sake of their politics. I am extremely unhappy with this latest development of American Health Care and oppose any privatization of any of the monies dedicated to this purpose.

We have been here before and Sebelius ain't in Kansas anymore, but, she certainly can return when she is ready.

The budget will pay for renovations to Guantanamo while there are perfectly good prisions sitting empty on USA soil, but, there is no money for Medicare. Yeah and I was born yesterday.

Guantánamo: the most expensive prison on earth (click here)

The cost to house a captive at Guantánamo Bay is $800,000 per year, far in excess of other federal or state lockups.

Posted on Friday, 11.25.11

...That’s more than 30 times the cost of keeping a captive on U.S. soil....

These are the Republican priorities for the USA. Spend monies on prisons to house idiots of terror while there are empty maximum security prisons in the USA while they rob the elderly blind and stick it to them while they die.

The Republicans would like to call it honor, but, it is far from it.

President Barack Obama signed (click here) the National Defense Authorization Act of 2013 on Wednesday, despite his own threat to veto it over prohibitions on closing the Guantanamo Bay prison camp.
Civil liberties advocates had roundly criticized the bill over Guantanamo and a separate section that could allow the military to indefinitely detain American citizens on suspicions of supporting terrorism. Just as he did with last year's version of the bill, however, Obama decided that the need to pass the NDAA, which also sets the armed forces' $633 billion budget for the 2013 fiscal year, was simply "too great to ignore," according to a presidential signing statement released in the early morning hours Thursday.
Members of the human rights coalition that had urged Obama to follow through on his veto threat blasted his decision as a cave to congressional Republicans....

There you have it, the people of the USA have been successfully duped again! Forbid Wall Street should skip a beat.

It also passed a Senate-approved bill to avert a government shutdown on March 27. (click here)

WASHINGTON — The U.S. House narrowly approved a conservative budget plan authored by Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan, 221-207, on Thursday on a largely party-line vote.

The fiscal blueprint does not have the force of law but outlines the GOP's priorities over a 10-year budget window to reduce the deficit and overhaul the Medicare system.

No Democrats voted for the plan. "House Republicans decided to double down on the failed policies that the American people rejected just a few months ago," said Senate Budget Chairwoman Patty Murray, D-Wash.
The Democratic Senate is debating a competing budget Thursday with passage scheduled Friday. Congress will then adjourn for a two-week spring recess....

Democrats wouldn't vote for it regardless of President Obama's pandering. Hello?

Sebelius is authorizing Premium Support. It is NOT the law!

We have waited for this law for a generation and this is what is being done to it. Absolutely not!

Ryan has taken the country hostage along with the Affordable Care Act. He can go straight to hell. We will not be intimidated by a man that wants to pad the pockets of Wall Street!

The Republicans are scam artists. Enough, they accept the law the way it was written or they get nothing. There is such a thing as principle and this is it. Let the Republicans cut the Affordable Care Act to the bone and we'll see what 2014 looks like. This is a betrayal! They are a bunch of crooks!

...But premium support (click here) is gaining fresh momentum among congressional Republicans as a way to control Medicare spending as the debate rages over entitlement reform and the deficit, say analysts, lobbyists and congressional aides.
"It's an idea that becomes more politically seaworthy with every passing day, because there are no other legitimate alternatives that can simultaneously control costs in a rational fashion and broaden access to quality care," said Robert Moffitt of the conservative Heritage Foundation....
It is the beginning of privatization of Medicare. Has Sebelius gone mad? Here we go. The corruption and the cronies are out in full force. It is not constitutional. It is not the law and Sebelius needs to resign!

The Path to Prosperity. They didn't have the guts to pass it, but, they sure want an piece of it now!

I thought we were getting rid of Medicare Advantage because it was laid with fraud. We should trust the private insurance industry now in a different name? I don't think so!

...Ohio and Arkansas are negotiating (click here) with the Obama administration over plans to use federal Medicaid money to pay premiums for commercial insurance that will be sold to the public in regulated markets known as insurance exchanges.
Republicans in other states, including Florida, Louisiana, Pennsylvania and Texas, have expressed interest in the option since Gov. Mike Beebe of Arkansas, a Democrat, received a green light from Kathleen Sebelius, the federal secretary of health and human services.
Valerie Jarrett, a top White House aide, has been a catalyst in talks with Ohio and other states.
The idea of using “premium assistance” to buy private insurance for new Medicaid beneficiaries is a sharp departure from the 2010 health care law, in which Congress expanded Medicaid to cover the poorest Americans and assumed that people with higher incomes would obtain private coverage through the exchanges.
In many states, Republicans are trying to create a hybrid of the two alternatives, taking federal money for the expansion of Medicaid but using it to help people buy commercial insurance instead.
State Senator Jonathan Dismang, a Republican from central Arkansas, said the idea appealed to him because it would “use the markets to provide better health care and to increase competition in the health insurance industry,” which could drive down costs.
The Arkansas Medicaid director, R. Andrew Allison, said the state had obtained “conceptual approval” from Ms. Sebelius to use Medicaid money to help low-income adults enroll in private insurance through the exchange in 2014. This arrangement, he said, could double the number of people in the exchange, to perhaps 500,000, while shrinking enrollment in the traditional Medicaid program....
Good bye, Secretary Sebelius!!!!!

It is so good to see President Obama with the Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas.

US President Barack Obama and Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas review the honour guard during an official arrival ceremony at the Muqata, the Palestinian Authority headquarters in the West Bank city of Ramallah.

1:57pm UK, Thursday 21 March 2013

Mr Obama's trip to Ramallah  (click here) was bookended by stark reminders of the tensions in the region as Palestinian militants fired rockets across the border and Iran threatened to destroy two Israeli cities.
The President held talks with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and told a news conference that the US is "deeply committed" to a two-state solution, but the only way to achieve it is through negotiation.
Mr Obama said that Israel's ongoing settlement building was unhelpful to the pursuit of peace but urged the Palestinians not to make halting the policy a precondition for negotiations....
There was a word that impressed me about the President's speech when discussing a Mideast Peace between the two nations of Israel and Palestine.

The word was contiguous.

One of the frequent complaints we hear from Israel is the difficulty that exists in defending it's borders because it is a small country. It is not only a small country, but, it has another country existing within it. There are some problems when such realities exist.

The complaints about the Jewish Settlements goes on and the Palestinians are very upset over the way their land simply disappears into Israeli lands. In the documentary, "Five Broken Cameras," there is a man that is asked where he lives. He says, 'I have no home, my land has been taken from me by Israel.' And he is asked if he will ever be able to go back to his land with a peace agreement with Israel and he states, 'No, they built on it.'

To say Israel is not sensitive to the problems with the settlements is a lie. They are. They were sensitive enough under Prime Minister Sharon to vacate Gaza. That is not a minor gesture. That was sincere trauma for Israel. So, the Palestinians have to first appreciate the sacrifice Israel has made for peace already.

The problem, as I see it, is not so much what Israel has to do to achieve peace with Palestine, but, what is Palestine doing to appreciate such a gesture toward the reality of peace. Such appreciation would go a long way to find a final resolution to peace.

The problem in Palestine in reaching a peaceful resolve to their homeland has to begin with recognition of Israel's right to exist by Hamas. While President Abbas may have already passed that hurdle, Hamas and the people of Gaza want nothing more but concessions by Israel to make it disappear off the map.

If Israel realizes it has a challenge to defend it's borders than why is that not the case with the Palestinian nation? Does it not want to have defensible borders to it's country or does it want to exist in fragmented pieces with no chance of it's people living within one nation. A fragmented Palestine had destabilized both Israel and Palestine. There is no cohesive government because of the fragmented nations. Israel is  far more stable because it has the larger land mass, but, Palestine cannot go on forever in fragments and separated people.

i realize the land within Israel is precious based on religious beliefs. The land of the Middle East in many countries is the same commodity. Even Iraq, when invaded by the USA has precious religious lands. I suppose they could be considered religious landmarks and designated under UN charters as special places that cannot be destroyed. But, somehow the depth these lands touch the very essence of religious beliefs is more profound than any status it can be afforded. So, the lands within Israel are not unique in their importance to religious beliefs. As proof, the pilgrimages by many ethnicity to these lands is historic.

The Palestinians are Muslim in their religious beliefs. The Jewish people are not. The primary focus of one of the Five Pillars of the Muslim faith is not in Jerusalem but in Mecca. Mecca is protected by King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques

So, while Jerusalem is important to the Palestinian nation, it is also important to many, many other faiths. The fact of the matter is Jerusalem is being used by extremists to seek leverage to again remove Israel from the map. That was realized a long time ago by Yassar Arafat, former Chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), President of the Palestinian National Authority (PNA), and leader of the Fatah political party and former paramilitary group, which he founded in 1959. It is that recognition that brought him to the peace tables with Israel.

There are some things that are possible in the real world and some things that are ideological. The idea Jerusalem can be shared is not realistic. There is no threat to the openness of Jerusalem to any pilgrim to the Holy Land unless a war would break out to remove Israel from existence. That would be bad.

The idea Israel is not a real country and somehow carved out of a fantasy has been laid to rest a long time ago. The Jewish people have paid dearly for their expulsion from the Holy Land by Romans and otherwise. It is time to end this mess in a way that makes sense and is POSSIBLE. Arafat knew that and it is time all Palestinians realize the dream of their leader was peace. Arafat rejected the extremists. He had to live among them, but, he ultimately rejected the Sheik's idea of the best outcome to join with the rest of the world with what was possible.

I believe it is a mistake to leave out the voice of the former Palestine leader Yassar Arafat to bring about peace. Arafat was a realist and Hamas dearly needs to be reminded of that. The people displaced by the Israeli settlements need to be compensated so they can get on with their lives. It is wrong for Israel to ignore that reality. Israel has radicalized these people and never bothered to explain their possibilities or offer a direction for their lives and their children.

...One of the reasons given (click here) for why the American president might ...want to skip Ramallah is the fact that if he visits the secured and natural offices of the Palestinian president he will have a political difficulty. Pundits (mostly western) are claiming that if Obama passes by the grave of Yasser Arafat which is centrally located within the Muqata’a presidential compound that the American leader will have a difficult choice. Not laying a wreath will be seen as an insult to Palestinians while doing so would be seen in negative terms by some Israelis.
This is precisely the political correctness that has made a mockery of the so called claims that the US is an honest broker when it comes to the Middle East conflict....

One other thing. About Bo.

The bouncy presidential dog (click here) helps the first lady during a pre-Easter visit to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
He is a working dog as well as a family pet. He is also a dog and not a human being who might know where to find the nearby toilet. It also means there is staff that has to walk him. Bless the grounds keeper of the White House for making this a priority when Bo needs him.

Michelle Bachmann Trashes OBAMA with Lies but Won't Explain Herself to C...

I congratulate Dana Bash on pursuing very inflammatory remarks by Michele Bachmann. I think the nasty dialogue by Michele needs a conversation rather than simply ridicule. Ms. Bash was correct in pursuing the topic. So, let me pick up where Rep. Bachmann refused to do so.

To begin to click at the title to the entry is a list of White House employees and their salaries by The Washington Post. The year was 2006. The White House hires a lot of people. I think of it as I do an emergency room or flight nurses. We pay them for when they are needed and not just 'on call' for when they might be needed. Why? Because we cannot afford to have them somewhere else doing something else should circumstances arise.

The picture here is a gathering of the President and his executive branch staff including the military the day Osama bin Laden was killed by the US Navy Seal Team Six. They are huddled around all kinds of sophisticated communication devices, including video screens and audio capacity. I know for a fact that the people responsible for playing movies for the First Family when there is leisure time (And of course there is nothing but leisure time for the First Family according to Right Wing media) also are required to maintain the equipment. So, I am quite confident there are not full time employees, security cleared of course, hanging out at the White House to simply 'Push Play.'

In regard to Air Force One and a staff of chefs. The number of people in that aircraft are many. There is at the very least The President, the pilot, the co-pilot, the navigator, the driver to the car that could not read Hebrew and put gas in the Presidential Limo instead of diesel and my guess a few journalists. People eat. And they eat three times a day and they eat American food. I doubt seriously the Brown Bag Lunch the First Lady prepared for her husband before leaving on Marine One would last through an entire trip of the Middle East.

What does that mean?

It means that people are employed for a reasonable work day in the USA. Usually eight hours. In the case of the White House employees I am sure they are available 'On Demand' should the need arrive. But, when one divides 24 hours by 8 hour shifts that means there are at the very least three chefs to staff each one of the shifts. I know that seems indulgent thinking the Prez would have a midnight snack, but, the world has 24 times zones and the entire idea of 8 hour shifts gets a little bizarre at times. I would fully expect there to be an assistant to the lead chef for at least two of those shifts. The White House employees have to be staffed for 24 hours a day and for every day of the year. It requires people and that means there appears to be duplicity in many instances but that sincerely is not the case.

Rep. Bachmann needs to stop targeting the White House as a reasonable place to rant her political nonsense and sincerely focus on her ability to discern what is important in the problems of the USA like supporting The Iron Dome in Israel in the House Budget.

I also thank Lawrence O'Donnell for commemorating the people in the USA that were right about the Iraq invasion. They are great people, they are citizens and they are some of the most dedicated patriots this nation has. Thank you, it was a great moment for The Last Word.

Where is liberty when it comes to the American farmer?

Vernon Hugh Bowman, a 75-year-old Indiana soybean farmer, speaks with reporters outside the Supreme Court in Washington, Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, after justices heard oral arguments between Bowman and high-tech agriculture company Monsanto Co. that produces genetically engineered and patented seeds. The case is to consider whether Bowman violated Monsanto’s patents when he planted an unmarked mix of soybeans that he bought from a grain elevator and that is often used for feed. At rear is Bowman's lawyer, Mark Walters. (AP Photo/J. Scott Applewhite)

Monsanto has a monopoly on seeds in the USA. They demand that farmers have to repurchase their seeds from year to year to insure their hold on the market. To hold onto the market share they chronically bioengineer seeds.

...Rancher Maurice Robinette of the Lazy R Ranch near Spokane is watching this case on the other side other side of the country. (click here)

Robinette, a cattle rancher, also has a beef with Monsanto. He markets his cattle as GMO free and feeds them only GMO-free alfalfa grown on his ranch. But he is concerned that if a neighbor decides to use Monsanto's GMO 'Roundup Ready' seeds, they could blow into his field. Robinette said if that happens, he could lose his GMO-free status.

We contacted Monsanto about those concerns and a spokesman told there has never been a case when a farmer or rancher lost 'Organic' or 'GMO Free' status because of Monsanto seeds invading their fields. The entire Monsanto statement is printed below.

Walters said the Supreme Court Justices peppered him with hard questions but they seemed to understand the plight of the small farmer who cannot afford top priced seed for all off-season crops....

The idea there has never been loss of status by a farmer of a certification does not mean it won't happen. It is an argument that should be vacated by the Supreme Court. It will happen. Food Cooperatives in the USA are a larger and larger piece of the market share in the USA and they have a contract too. Their contract is with their memberships to guarantee they are purchasing the foods they seek as pure to their health.

"I am not aware that any producer has ever lost organic certification as a result of the inadvertent presence of seed or pollen from genetically modified crops, alfalfa or otherwise.   We believe farmers should have the opportunity to select the production method of their choice – whether that be organic, conventional or the improved seeds developed using biotechnology. All three production systems contribute to meeting the needs of consumers.  Since the advent of biotech crops over 15 years ago, both biotech and organic crop production have flourished. We have no reason to think that will not continue to be the case."

It is not a valid argument. It is based in dominating the American diet. Monsanto has out lasted its usefulness.

by Ronnie Cummins
On November 6, in the wake of one of the most expensive and scurrilous smear campaigns in history, six million voters scared the hell out of Monsanto and Big Food Inc. by coming within a razor’s edge of passing the first statewide mandatory labeling law for genetically modified organisms (GMOs).
Prop 37, a citizens’ ballot initiative that would have required the mandatory labeling of billions of dollars of genetically engineered (GE) foods and put an end to the routine industry practice of fraudulently marketing GE-tainted foods as “natural” or “all natural,” lost by a narrow margin of 48.6% to 51.4%. Opponents couldn’t claim anything close to a landslide, even though they outspent the pro-labeling campaign almost six to one.

The Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA) immediately put a happy face on the narrow victory, repeating its tired old propaganda in a public statement: “Proposition 37 was a deeply flawed measure that would have resulted in higher food costs, frivolous lawsuits and increased state bureaucracies. This is a big win for California consumers, taxpayers, business and farmers.”...

The reason food cooperatives are gaining ground in market share is because the definition of organic and other certifications are not well defined. So, the food cooperatives are setting their own standards such as "GMO Free."

Genetically Modified Seafood: Whole Food, Trader Joe's and Others Vow Not to Sell GMO Fish (click here)
Reuters  |  Posted:
By Lisa Baertlein

March 20 (Reuters) - Whole Foods Market Inc, Trader Joe's and other food retailers representing more than 2,000 U.S. stores have vowed not to sell genetically engineered seafood if it is approved in the United States, a new advocacy group said on Wednesday.

The announcement from the Campaign for Genetically Engineered-Free Seafood comes as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration appears close to approving genetically engineered salmon from Massachusetts-based AquaBounty Technologies.

If it gets final approval from the Food and Drug Administration, the salmon would be the first genetically engineered animal to enter this country's human food supply. The United States already is the world's largest market for foods made with genetically altered plant ingredients....

Wall Street is involved with the definitions of GMO labeled foods. It is corruption. People have a right to know what they are eating.

The Supreme Court will rule on the 'contract' of Monsanto and the real body of the case. The STRICT CONSTRUCTIONISTS will throw out the real issues and focus solely on the WORDS of law.

The USA Farmer is expected to be the loser.

Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, left, serving as moderator in a debate on gun violence hosted by CELL, the Counterterrorism Education Learning Lab, listens as University of Colorado law professor and panelist David Kopel speaks against gun control legislation in Denver, Tuesday Feb. 19, 2013.
...“This didn’t come from the White House,” Hickenlooper said. (click here)
Hickenlooper's signature came the day after the head of Colorado’s Department of Corrections, Tom Clements, was shot and killed in his home, apparently after he answered a ring at his front door, authorities said....
I don't see Senator Feinstein changing the wording of her bill because of lack of interest by other Senators.

Reid scores B by NRA on pro-gun rights policies (click here)
While widely recognized today as a major political force and as America's foremost defender of Second Amendment rights, the National Rifle Association (NRA) has, since its inception, been the premier firearms education organization in the world. But our successes would not be possible without the tireless efforts and countless hours of service our nearly three million members have given to champion Second Amendment rights and support NRA programs.

What the Grades Mean

A+: A legislator with not only an excellent voting record on all critical NRA issues, but who has also made a vigorous effort to promote and defend the Second Amendment.

A: Solidly pro-gun candidate including voting record.

AQ: A pro-gun candidate whose rating is based solely on the NRA-PVF Candidate Questionnaire and who does not have a voting record.

B: A generally pro-gun candidate; may have opposed some pro-gun reform in the past.

If the death in Colorado of a government official is at all linked to anyone involved with the gun lobby or an activist at all that is treason. Death of a government official with intent to effect the vote of a legislative body or the signature of a Governor is treason .

Now.

It is time to stop the hideous leveraging of the NRA.

Does Michael Steele want his old job back?

I don't want to cost Priebus his job, but, I think he correct. I think he has been doing his homework while Rove continues to believe brainwashing the electorate in faux 'anti' threats to liberty is a joke.

The GOP has neglected THE PEOPLE OF THE USA and counted on lies and political jokes to carry their elections to very important places in the seats of power of the USA. There has been no neighborhood understandings of the country by the GOP. They have sought to leverage power through media.

Does the country believe there is not good news to have the GOP realize what the real problems of the nation actually are? IF that is their intention. If the GOP is going to continue to try to pull the wool over the eyes of a nation based in local organizing without being a part of the solution, it won't happen then either.

The GOP is on the extremes in the USA. They have not got a clue about what Americans are all about. We know they will have turned the corner on understanding the people of the USA when they reject the NRA and find themselves standing at the podium of union meetings. Will that happen? They would be fools and waste their monies if they didn't.

“Oh, no question, I’d clean his clock,” Steele told radio host Andrea Tantaros, who asked him about that very proposition, The Washington Examiner’s Paul Bedard reported today.
This week Steele has been dissing his successor as Republican Party chairman, Reince Priebus, as the Republican National Committee rolls out its party reboot and modernization plan....
In the previous entry is a very unique gift to Barak Hussein Obama. It is extremely symbolic of the relationship of this President of the USA with Israel. It literally embodies that relationship. It is a treasure. President Obama will most likely put it in his library.

The 2000 year old stone is symbolic of President Obama's religion. He is a Christian. The Jewish calendar goes further back in time and I am sure there are older stones in Israel.

The idea Israel and the USA share declarations of independence binds the freedom of their peoples to each other. The technology of the silicon chip is also symbolic of the advanced societies the two share. The gold may have been necessary to the reading of the declarations, but, more than likely it was also to dress up the gift a bit.

It is a magnificent gift to President Obama. Extremely well thought out and produced. It is sincerely a treasure of respect.
