The Columbia students were taunted into violent protests by a forty year old professional agitator with no student or alumni status with Columbia University. His name is James “Cody” Carlson.

Universities don’t know what they are up against. In the case of Columbia, it has a millionaire to sue for damages to its buildings and students. The faculty joined their students to bring them together and end the hate. The faculty is not at fault.

An investigation into Carlson’s intent and obvious criminal actions should continue.

When will the people become important to Hamas and end the danger to them?

No one cares about the fact Hamas is still using the Palestinian people as human shields. 

Israel has been talking about an offensive in Rafah for weeks now. There is a plan in place to evacuate.

I already know what will happen. There will be radio transmissions from Hamas intercepted by the IDF as terrorists hide among the people as they move and Palestinians will die. Hamas will make those radio transmissions for the sole purpose of escalating the war and bringing opinion against the Hebrew nation.

This is the plight of the Palestinian people. When does Hamas surrender and come out in the open?

Go ahead and tell Israel to ignore all those terrorist radio transmissions. Go ahead. Tell Israel to keep the jets on the ground while the evacuation moves forward. You know what the IDF will say? It will go something like this, “By the time Rafah is evacuated Hamas will be gone and continue as a danger among the people.

This war is nearly impossible to deal with and hope to protect civilians. Terrorists don’t care about civilians. As a matter of fact civilians are a target to bring about fear and descent against the government.

If Satan could dream up a war, this would be it.

There is no moral equivalent…

…between what is occurring in the Middle East today and Vietnam.

To begin Vietnam was an illegal and immoral war based in marginally important occurrences in the Gulf of Tonkin. No American ships were damaged or naval personnel injured. One of the naval commanders even denied the second incident ever occurred with his ship. More than fifty-eight thousand US soldiers were killed, many more injured and maimed. The demonstrations on campuses was to stop the bleeding of Americans, not recruited, but drafted into a war that should have never been fought.

What is occurring in the Middle East is real and witnessed in real time. Peaceful people were massacred. Civilians were brutally murdered. When Prime Minister Netanyahu declared war on Hamas he was completely justified.

The war theater was Gaza. Unbelievable as it was because Gaza was given to the Palestinian people by Israel in hopes of peace.

Yet for some idea by people with no respect for life so much as their wayward ideology of a world turned into Shi’ite worshipers. No tolerance of others. No understanding or desire to understand of history or the past. No willingness to live in harmony with the other Abrahamic faiths in the region. Just kill Israelis, that’s all. Just kill them. 

While the tragedy that has beset the Palestinians in Gaza is horrible there was little Israel could do to gain control over Hamas but bomb every available tunnel and military structure created with military intelligence and munitions from Iran.

Does anyone, even the most verbal critic of Prime Minister Netanyahu actually believe that the IDF and Israeli intelligence was going to gently handle Hamas with a slap on the wrist and warn them not to do it again? Seriously.

There was no ground war the IDF could conduct as Hamas gathered the support of other Iranian terrorist organizations. There are still skirmishes today between the IDF and terrorists in Gaza. Israel has casualties from all over the world with the return of many diaspora. 

The Palestinians are victims to this war without any doubt. But, who placed them in the line of fire? Who compromised their very lives from the beginning of the Palestine state of Gaza? It wasn’t the Palestinian Authority. It certainly wasn’t Israel.

The world forgets how Hamas used the Palestinian people as human shields as they looked the other way. The world allowed the Palestinians to be compromised in hopes that Hamas would grow into a benevolent governing authority. There are many people to blame for the tragedy in Gaza. Israel defended itself in the only way it could. I guarantee you there are many that wish the Late Prime Minister Sharon never sought peace with the Palestinians in the first place. 

 

So, when academicians want to justify the sympathy they have for their students they have absolutely no basis in comparing Gaza to Vietnam. What worries me is the lack of concern for the outside influences on their students and the peace on their campuses.

Every university president, vice president, chancellor, and board of trustees should defend their defense of the university and students. They are dealing with unknown influences on their students. Their faculty, should have been involved in deescalation of the passions that run high, but, they were trying to find harmony between the students. If they had to do so by blaming the administration then their reasons and actions were noble.

Reality is different than fantasy. The New York Mayor asked parents to please ask their students to avoid these conflicts. The university president told students to shelter in place, yet those that didn’t openly state they ran to demonstrate regardless of any cost to them personally. 

This student was not in touch with reality. Darling child that you are, this is the reality of jail cells all over the country. They are designed to minimize the occupants danger and the danger the prisoner can present to officers. The officers were not gazing at women on toilets for sexual content so much as safety compliance. What were students expecting a padded toilet seat and bear rug to keep your feet comfortable and your toes warm. If an arresting officer finds that clothing such as a hajib is potentially dangerous then it won’t be allowed. A hajib is not about warmth so I don’t believe there is an equivalency to a vest. 

I believe the circumstances were handled exceptionally well. Officers and students survived. Ultimately those arrested have to answer to a judge. What won’t come out in the hearing are accusations of conspiracy with outside groups that didn’t care about the lives of the protesters (click here). Maybe there should be investigations into every student arrested to end such influence and danger on campus. Mossad is probably capable of intelligence that would astound any authority involved.

But, while I laugh out loud, when anyone takes up a cause in protest that involves acts of violence and lawbreaking like storming campus buildings, using industrial chains to lock down doors, and interrupting the educational progress of students who have paid dearly for that opportunity; be prepared to pay the price of arrest and what follows. If parents and guardians are paying high priced lawyers as well as fines, in my opinion, your part of the problem.

I feel badly for the immigrants that come to the Free World.

Being an immigrant or refugee is not simple. There are cultural differences and language barriers to overcome. But, they do thrive within our democracies and contribute to the country’s stability as any other citizen. 

If the immigrants come from countries where there is communism they are experiencing true ownership for the first time. I wish, with especially those fleeing communism, dictatorships, autocrats, and oppression, they were safe from their former governments. 

What is true, especially of Russia, is it views these dual citizens as assets still of the motherland. These Russian immigrants are never really safe. Their lives are never truly their own. They can be harassed and threatened to the point where some are actually poisoned or murdered.

I believe the Free World needs to see this danger as a threat to its sovereignty and look to a special enforcement and intelligence unit at the local level to greet these new citizens with compassion and instructions on reporting any and all perceived threats or foreign disruption to their lives and the lives of their families. I believe when these wonderful people are able to communicate regularly with local intelligence they become our assets to their security and that of the country they have come to love.

Was the bombing in Boston not an example of that? Were the poisonings in Europe not an example of the danger that lies within the Free World for these people?

The Free World is so open to ideas and movements connected to political ideologies we are also blind to the dangers that lie within our own joy of living. I believe a bit of a renaissance needs to occur between all free nations to bring closer the security of freedom and with that understood the dangers that lie within the very nature of freedom and democracy.

As the immigrants that come to the Free World full of hope and longing to be whole as a citizen, the people need to welcome them with open arms and secure their safety as a means of protecting our sovereignty from within.

Russia is coming for NATO

I guarantee you if the legislators passing the anti-media bill in Georgia were investigated the investigators would find Russian money and corruption, no different than the corrupted Republican NRA in the USA. The USA Republican Party take over was a goal started long ago (click here).

The latest assault by a Republican against humanity is DeSantis’ mental health wards and a bill to end renewable energy (click here). That is just unconscionable while Miami is sinking into the ocean with sea level rise. It is all for corrupt election money and quid pro quo with the petroleum industry which Russia is engaged.

If the USA Republicans are acting against freedom, humanity, and Earth’s climate there is quid pro quo campaigning funds involved. 

Propaganda of the Republican Party as well as that in the country of Georgia has to be met by truth telling. It is time communist propaganda ended everywhere it exists.

Russia is not winning in Ukraine. Its biggest ally has its sights set on the moon (which is why Musk was there) and capitalism of the USA via Mexico which is still a member of the Trans Pacific Partnership. China needs its income from the USA to bolster its treasury. So, Putin’s politics demands answers, hence, military investigation and prosecution; especially with a military leader whose wife loves Europe.

Vladimir Putin is so dedicated to his ideology he will never stop his assault on all fronts of the Free World. Dismantling freedom and democracy is his legacy. He is determined to complete it before he dies. He is not concerned to what it takes, even committing genocide of Ukrainian’s children.

Divesting from Israel is a hostile act.

Israel has had to fight for its existence since its existence began in 1948. Israel wasn’t simply dreamed up on that day. Israel had existed where it is now for three decades previous to that date. Its strongest ally the entire time has been the USA. It wasn’t as though the land was ever a free trace of land, previous to Israel’s recognition in 1948; it was a possession of Great Britain. There was no Palestinian homeland before 1948. 

Divesting from an ally is immoral and wrong. It should not occur. That is especially true when an ally is at war and fighting for its continued presence and right to exist. If Iran has its way there would be no Israel. That point of view by Iran is out of step with the other countries in the Middle East.

The call for divestiture has been a point of focus for some time now. If it weren’t such an egregious idea it would have occurred. It begs the question, if Israel were divested where then would the money be invested? Hamas of Palestine? That is very dangerous.

Currently, there is no separation in the Palestinian power structure between the PA and Hamas. Although, the PA has denounced Hamas’ war profile and recently arrested a Hamas member for the first time. The PA is starting a pivot to secure its authority over Hamas, but, it has not recognized it as a terrorist organization within the borders of Palestine. Hamas is not the only terrorist organization backed by Iran within the borders of Palestine. Gaza became a rat’s nest of Iranian backed extremists. That is the truth and terrorists have no place in government.

As to the Palestinians in the USA on college campuses; they are welcome to be here and surviving the tragedy occurring on their homeland.

Mr. Salim appeared in a USA news article and he is from Gaza. I am glad he is here and alive. He states 100 of his family members are dead. Forgive me a rather ugly understanding of this, but, how many of his family belonged to Hamas? When he speaks he never says the word Hamas, but, only Palestinian. Gaza was occupied by Hamas, an Iranian back terrorist group. The PA had no control within Gaza. How much of that does he understand?

The problem Israel faces and has faced with Gaza on its border is the chronic threat of hatred backed by a hostile sovereign power. Add to that a profoundly brutal and deadly  attack on peaceful Israeli citizens and what is the IDF faced with? And, no, there was no grand conspiracy to provoke war and carry out a land grab. Please, at the death of more than 1200 Israeli citizens of which some were of Arab nationality. Never.

The IDF was faced with some of the most heinous terrorist plots to kill Israelis while using the Palestinian people as human shields. The IDF could not and cannot view October 7th as a one time occurrence. The attack was heinous. They shot and killed children and babies with intent. The IDF had to act and Gaza was the war theater. The terrorist infrastructure was the vehicle to more attacks by Hamas and it needed to be destroyed. No one is accusing the IDF of delicacy in ending the existence of tunnels and munitions. There is no selective delicacy to ending tunnels when the fighting forces are ambushed as they try a ground war rather than missiles. 

There was no real governance of Gaza after Israel gave it to the Palestinian people. Iran took Gaza away from the PA by instilling Hamas as its governing authority. There is no going back to Gaza being as it was; there is only going forward to peace through strength without terrorist organizations in power and frothing at the mouth to kill more Israelis. There is “no deal” with Hamas.

Mr. Salim when he completes his education here in the USA will be returning to sorrow, but, also to a secure land without terrorists threats. It will be impossible to achieve peace with terrorists organizations in governance. Iran has destroyed Palestine.

Israel must survive this war to bring about peace and security. Divestiture is not the way forward. Israel has the capacity to govern and maintain peace. The PA is only beginning to get back on its feet. There is a lot of work to do before this land called Gaza is secure, peaceful, and self-governing.

The idea El Nino and only El Nino is to blame for the heating is nonsense.

Earth's mechanisms of climate such as storms, tornadoes, hurricanes, etc. are not changing within the climate crisis. However, Earth's mechanisms are driven by heat to a greater and greater dynamic. The El Nino of 2023-24 was 3 degrees Celsius (37.4 degrees Fahrenheit) HIGHER THAN NORMAL.

So, what?

What that means is all that heat that churned in the ocean added to ocean heat as well as engaged HEAT TRANSFER in the way of midlatitude vortexes to the Arctic Circle further diminishing Earth's ice reserves. The reserves are so badly diminished that scientists conducting annual reviews of this ice can't stand on it anymore. The ice is so thin it is cracking under MINIMAL WEIGHT.

Earlier there was reporting that demanding less SOOT out of ocean going vessels is eliminating the shadow for Earth and caused increased heating. That is not accurate by any stretch of the imagination. It only pretends that sooty emissions is beneficial. The primary driver of increased heat this year has been the out of control El Nino. 37.4 degrees Fahrenheit above normal is very, very hot.

There is a popular thought about Thermohaline Circulation (click here) when disturbed by the climate crisis and it slows the entire process of Earth's decline will end. That is not correct. If Earth's heating continues past the absence of ice on the caps and in the Arctic and Southern Oceans it will negate any of Earth's natural physics to reverse into glaciation.

Earth runs on physics. There are physics from every aspect of Earth's presence, including space which is why the USA's expertise on all matters of human survival REQUIRES knowledge of space. Earth's physics can be disturbed even though it is a planet by the large population of humans on it AND their consumerism. The more people with a carbon footprint the more danger to Earth's climate exists. That human footprint includes all aspects of life including industrial activities that emit dangerous greenhouse gases. It is not the number of humans that needs focus, but, the carbon footprint each one has.

When a planet's physics is disturbed and it's path is changed there really is no returning it without natural phenomena acting on it and/or in the case of Earth human activity changing a negative path forward. In the case of Earth's climate crisis it is going to require every aspect of human greenhouse gas footprint/emissions to end. There is no ALLOWABLE EMISSIONS anymore. Human longevity will demand all greenhouse gas emissions to end.

The level of greenhouse gas emissions returning to pre-industrial levels should be the focus in order to obtain a planet with increasing populations and an Earth that is benevolent.

El Niño is mainly a seasonal climate phenomenon with climate impacts on seasonal climate averages but can make extreme weather and climate-events more likely in certain regions. Furthermore, the seasonal forecasts are found to be more accurate during El Niño and La Niña events, particularly in the tropics, and this emphasizes the pivotal role of early warnings to support decision-making and enhance preparedness and anticipatory action....

The "idea" of "Net Zero" isn't realistic either. Net Zero is an interesting and moral concept, however, in order to give it profound meaning there MUST be a CAP on any and all greenhouse gases. Net Zero only demands more and more action be taken while there is no limit on the amount of greenhouse gases emitted. Earth will continue to warm while building more and more wind turbines and solar arrays. Net Zero IS NOT a guarantee to REVERSE emissions, so much as meet them no matter how high they become.

The goals for every country on Earth must be to eliminate the emissions of greenhouse gases and REPLACE energy demands by alternative energies.

Earth's warming cannot be limitless.

There must be a CLEAR, DEFINED LIMIT on all greenhouse gas emissions based in sound science. The containment must be measurable with actual benevolent outcomes. Measurements alone cannot be the answer to understanding THE REVERSAL of density of greenhouse gases and their emissions. Earth must reflect benevolence along with all efforts to contain and end dangerous emissions.

Greenhouse gases can be toxic at certain levels to Earth's benevolence, hence, the human race.

Major fossil-fuel firms have also pledged support for international climate efforts, but internally admit these efforts are incompatible with their own climate plans. And they have lobbied against climate laws and regulations they have publicly claimed to support, documents newly revealed by the committee show.

The tranche of subpoenaed communications were unveiled on Tuesday morning by Democrats on the House oversight committee before a Wednesday hearing.

“For decades, the fossil-fuel industry has known about the economic and climate harms of its products but has deceived the American public to keep collecting more than $600bn each year in subsidies while raking in record-breaking profits,” said Rhode Island Democrat Sheldon Whitehouse, who chairs the committee....

Trashing the ocean seems to not bother boaters. There should be a law.

Watching this video one has to question the wisdom of being on the water with such turbulence, but, it seems as though creating pollution goes along with foolishness. The trash will ultimately endanger human lives as well as marine wildlife because the USA is entering the tourist season and people can be injured or made ill by trash. There have been times when syringes were found on beaches. Evidently the efforts to clean up the ocean will continue indefinitely.

The boat seems to be unregistered. Florida is anarchy except when it comes to abortion, reading and LGBTQ rights.

...According to reports, (click here) it appears that the incident occurred during the Boca Bash on Sunday, April 28, an annual event that draws thousands of boaters, most of whom are there to party.

The party, which is held in Lake Boca Raton, isn’t affiliated officially with the city of Boca. It has an interesting origin story....

Israel vs. Hamas is no longer simple.

Divesting from Israel is not realistic. It is interesting to watch college campuses ignore the fact Iran’s attack on Israel has complicated the war to contain Hamas. I would be very surprised if the ICC ignored the Iranian escalation of war with Israel. There are now two sovereign countries involved in this conflict and not just containment of a terrorist organization.

The problem is the current status with this war is that attacking Israel through proxies is exactly the goal of Iranian armament of the terrorist organizations. When Iran attacked Israel directly it was proved as a goal of the war begun my Hamas. This action by Iran complicates the entire assessment of this war. Iran should have demanded the surrender by Hamas to stop the conflict and free the hostages. Iran didn’t do that. Instead Iranian leaders sent military advisers to escalate the fighting.

The status of this conflict escalated when Iran took an active interest in killing Israelis and providing its own military attack via missiles to attempt to tip the scales for Hamas. The anti-war movement demanding divestiture from Israel was defeated not by college administrators, but, by Iran’s plans for Israel.

One thing that has come out of the protest movement in the USA is the current commitment to building a dock for arrival of aid to the Palestinians. The dock is to provide for the arrival of humanitarian aid and only humanitarian aid to the Palestinians. So long as the USA is supervising the dock, boat arrival, and unloading of supplies to trucks Israel cannot complain.

The technology used at USA ports to end terrorist threats can be applied to the new dock as well. There will be no arrival and distributions of armaments to Hamas permitted through this dock. It will remove the propaganda warfare by Hamas that triggers the IDF to attack such truck movements.
