“If plotting a coup isn’t illegal than nothing is.”

Former Director Robert Mueller, after September 11, 2001, lead intense investigation of potential (the word is potential) terrorists. The FBI aggressively used undercover agents to provide whatever the terrorists wanted to carry out violence against the Americans. He didn’t allow the violence but provided “the belief” the violence could happen so the terrorists would go forward with their plans.

If the group walked away from their plan or refused to plan at all Former Director Mueller would not have any reason to arrest and try the terrorists. The terrorists Director Mueller arrested were willing to plan the violence when the components of their plan were within reach or they believed were in their reach.

I believe there are two such entries about those arrests on this blog. They were completely unrelated to the attacks of September 11, 2001. They were men that had the intention of killing Americans. I thought it was over reach, but, these were terrorists. Their ideals in killing mattered when the weight of the USA Rule of Law held them as criminals.

I think the terrorists have a different status no different than killers that plan to kill children in their classrooms. The crime is so heinous and the inability to protect the innocent from the violence so obvious that some standard rules and ethics do not matter. The FBI, under Mueller, came to value PREVENTION and not just facts to intervene and prosecute.

As to the statement in the title, a violent coup and/or insurrection falls into that same dynamic as terrorist acts and killers of school children in that no one can wait to act. To act after the fact is to allow a collapse of the US Constitution. A coup of the presidency would, I believe, result in a dictator. If a man could end peaceful transfer of power to the presidency he could do anything by the same violent methods that gave him power.

So, what about the truths about Trump and his minions coming out in the Hearings of the January 6th Committee? Do we simply laugh it off and figure the Committee headed if off at the pass or is there something else to be PREVENTED?

As with the power terrorists seek and the power killers of school children obtain, the people promoting the “Big Lie” are still a clear and present danger to the US Constitution. In that lies a very different reality for the people if the US Constitution falls. In realizing our very quality of life can be lost and people could be scapegoated, arrested, tried and executed; ie: no different than the plan to ultimately execute Governor Whitmer; this power thirst needs to end now.

So, in my estimation, the DOJ has no alternative but to prosecute those espousing the “ Big Lie” as the truth. Now, is the time to act, not later, and yes that includes Trump.

President Biden is 78 years old.

 https://youtu.be/khTS0cU2IgQ

No one is free of embarrassing accidents of one kind or another as an adult.

President Biden does not look at every moment as if vital for politics as the right wingers do. Accidents are not incompetence.

Rarely does the US Congress have such a gracious and lovely lady come to speak of terrorism and war.

Olena Zelenska spoke in her native language to the US Congress just as her husband, President Volodymyr Zelensky, did only a short time ago.

A year ago her life and the life of the Ukrainian people were quite different. They had peace in their country. Ukraine was entrenched in a political war to remove corruption from their government and seek economic prosperity with both Russia and the EU. It was a time when The West believed there would be global peace with countries and people finding that harmony that would go forward to preserve and keep Earth in a balance that was benevolent to all people in every country and nation.

Today. the global community has a very different reality and Olean Zelenska with pain in her heart for every Ukrainian child came to plead for an enforced peace within Ukraine to allow the children to feel safe and return to a more normalized life in attending school and have hope for the future. She had no hateful words for those that have brought genocide to her country and her people, instead, her vision is one of a protected status of military technology not very different than that which Israel enjoys.

She was elegant and sophisticated knowing exactly the feelings of every mother and father for their children and the future of their country. She was a pillar of strength whether she realized it or not. She shed no tears as having absorbed the horrors of Ukraine's reality and the daily barrage of impending death that besets them. She wishes to end the violence and terrorism that is the reality of Ukraine.

Her plea was simple and real, end the terrorism and violence that takes their beautiful children from them everyday. It is all she asks and nothing more. She does not long for vengeance or a bigger war. She has no ideas of repercussion against any other people, she only asks for technology that will provide a more peaceful land for the Ukrainian children that can return to their homeland and a semblance of peace, love and learning.

With Russia’s war (click here) in her home country continuing to rage, Ukraine's first lady, Olena Zelenska, the wife of President Volodymyr Zelensky, addressed a bipartisan group of lawmakers on Capitol Hill Wednesday, the third day of her high-profile Washington, D.C., trip.

"I know this is the first time when the wife of the president of a foreign country has the honor to address you within these walls," Zelenska said in remarks translated from her speech, which was delivered in Ukrainian. "This is really important for me and for my country, and today I want to address you as politicians and party representatives as well as mothers and fathers, grandmothers and grandfathers, daughters and sons.”

Zelenska presented images of young girls and boys killed by Russian missile strikes, including 4-year-old Lisa, whom she had met around Christmas.

"I remember her just like she is here, a cheerful, playful little rascal," Zelenska told Congress. "She is no longer with us. On July 14, Lisa was killed by a Russian missile attack."...

Today, Russia is finding itself in a bit of a vice. There is word the Chechens are taking aim against a far weaker Russia than they ever assessed before. Russia, in it's cruel invasion of Ukraine in an arbitrary vision of a president with his own ego as his guide may very well be looking at a civil war in addition to the instability of it's western border with Ukraine.

The Free World is still reorganizing, finding it's current energy limits a rather alarming economic insult and looks for alternatives to the "economic pinch" so many of their citizens want to blame on the current elected leaders. Yet, Ukraine and it's refugees are never far from the reality that faces them.

It is only right the Free World concern itself with a return of the Ukrainian people to their homeland. They have tried to some extent and they are met with hatred from Russia and more missile attacks that take more lives, cause hardship and loss of more children. The people of Ukraine want to go home. They want to be productive again and reclaim their well being while living day to day to build a strong and resilient country.

Ukraine needs to be able to stop the missiles. It needs stability to return some prosperity to the country. It is in the best interest of all those believing peace is a global priority to find ways to assist the First Lady of Ukraine to settle the people in their homeland. The sooner an enforced peace can be provided the sooner there will be a reality to Vladimir Putin that his war against innocent and peaceful people will never work and it all has to end.

Anarchy vs. Democracy

Steve Bannon is an anarchist as are most of the people he attracts. They are extremists and are not widely accepted in a democracy. Match them up with war weapons and there is daily, violent deaths.

But, Bannon will call out whatever person he wants to intimidate from his 15 minutes of fame, because, he believes in the Strong Man paradigm not the Rule of Law. Hence, his verbal assault of Chairperson Thompson.

Chairman Thompson is viewed as the most powerful of those accusing Bannon. Hence, strongman Thompson has to be talked down. Trump calls people faux names for the same purpose. Everyone can play that game.

Just that simple.

The average American family..

Utah (click here) has the highest number of children in their families. Here's the average number of kids per family in every state.

…has an average of one or two children with women beginning a family at a later age.

When the Pope visited the United States he stated the cost of living then required a higher education and significant savings to live in a home. He started it wasn’t a good society for the financial burden young people carried in order to legitimize their relationships. He later criticized the USA for prizing pets over children.

If the Radicalized Supreme Court will change those trends by making money a citizen, ridding citizens of voting rights, and removing reproductive rights, they are very wrong.

The American family will sterilize before having large families. There are real wellness issues when having more than two children.

Unionization and good wages will encourage larger families. Forcing Americans into the working poor is good for Wall Street profits not more children.

In 2015, the documentarian Michael Moore showed Americans how allies live including no tuition higher education. It is not to late to embrace and value quality of life.

Snapchat?

Did Murray change Secret Service software to Snap Chat?

There are a lot of enhancements.

In July Snapchat (click here) was reviewing its' options about adding another feature. The feature would allow you to view public videos and stories by swiping vertically. This feature doesn't involve browsing user's or friends' videos.

On the last day of August Snapchat added the option to pin someone in the conversation. The same day Snapchat added another feature that involves adding your faces to Gifs and videos. You can become a different person with this mood-adding features. There are more than 150 face changing options in the application.

Jared Kushner wanted the government using, WhatsApp. What happened with that?

Some of your most personal moments (click here) are shared on WhatsApp, which is why we built end-to-end encryption into the latest versions of our app. When end-to-end encrypted, your messages and calls are secured so only you and the person you're communicating with can read or listen to them, and nobody in between, not even WhatsApp.

Russian protesters

In an intercepted phone call, (click here) the wife of a Russian invader tells how the soldiers of one of the Russian military units jumped out of the trucks on their way to Ukraine warzones.

According to this report, anti-war Russian protesters were rounded up and placed in military trucks. They were then transported to the Ukraine border. They jumped out of the trucks.

If they successfully reached the Ukraine border they would have been abandoned in a war zone. Putin is also endangering the lives of his own citizens.

I am curious if the Russian protesters had any Ukraine roots.

I think the American submarine program needs to put emphasis on moving the Columbia Class forward. It also needs an infusion of cash to complete some construction on the Virginia class subs. But, the Columbia subs need to move forward now. Additionally, our submarine fleet needs some updates and they should be rotated through to complete it. As long as the current subs are in good enough condition they should stay in service as the new ones roll out.

The 700 Club…

…CBN News reported Mr. Hershel Walker has DID. DID is Dissociative Identity Disease. DID is known as Multiple Personality Disorder.

Herschel Walker (click here) was one of the most powerful running backs in college and NFL history. Because of his combination of strength and speed he’s one of the greatest in the game. The 1982 Heisman trophy winner spent 15 years in professional football. But the side you may not know, is shortly after he retired, he was diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder, also known as multiple personality disorder or D.I.D.

D.I.D is a condition in which a single person displays multiple distinct personalities known as alters, each with its own type of behavior. For Herschel, it started a long time ago when he was a physically challenged first grader in the rural town of Wrightsville, Ga.

“I was a little bit overweight, and had a stuttering problem,” Herschel said. “I used to be afraid of the dark; I was scared to death of the dark. I remember as a little boy, I used to go outside to play real hard; my nose would bleed. I don’t know what that was. And I couldn’t run; I had these big old knots that swelled and stuff on my knees.”...

If that reporting is true, the public needs to be informed.

Indiana Democrats…

…should seek impeachment against the Attorney General. He is violating, if nothing else ethics, by lying about the doctor that removed a pregnancy, inflicted by crime, from a child.

The Attorney General needs to be sued for defamation and removed from office, otherwise, Indiana will be paying the defamation case.

Cassidy Hutchinson has nothing to gain by lying. By pure default, the people with a reputation for lying, like Trump, are the liars.

Staffers Confirm Hutchinson’s High Level Position (click here)

Sarah Matthews, former White House Deputy Press Secretary and Trump spokesperson, offered an observation: “Anyone downplaying Cassidy Hutchinson’s role or her access in the West Wing either doesn’t understand how the Trump WH worked or is attempting to discredit her because they’re scared of how damning this testimony is.”

Mick Mulvaney, former White House Chief of Staff under President Trump, reflected on the explosive testimony.

“I know her,” Mulvaney tweeted about Hutchinson. “I don’t think she is lying.”

Alyssa Farah Griffin, former White House Director of Strategic Communications and Assistant to the President, explained on Twitter why to listen to Hutchinson.

“Cassidy Hutchinson is my friend,” Griffin tweeted. “I knew her testimony would be damning. I had no idea it’d be THIS damning. I am so grateful for her courage & integrity. To anyone who would try to impugn her character, I’d be glad to put you in touch w/ @January6thCmte to appear UNDER OATH.”

Oh, yeah. Flynn.

He was involved deeply in the QAnon conspiracy. He was involved with developing a security company when he turned to Russia as an ally.

Flynn coined the words, “digital soldiers” That is Russia’s claim to fame these days. The digital world can accomplish everything never before possible.

Top US weather, climate disasters killed nearly 700 last year: NOAA (click here)

Last year, 688 people were killed in 20 major weather and climate disasters in the U.S., according to new data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

These 20 events cost a total of $145 billion, with each costing more than $1 billion. They included one drought, two floods, two hurricanes, a wildfire event and a winter storm.

The NOAA has been measuring such disasters since 1980 and has seen an average of 7.4 events per year since then, adjusted to the Consumer Price Index (CPI).

Deaths from these CPI-adjusted events have also increased in recent years. There has been an average of 361 deaths each year from billion-dollar storms overall since 1980, but an average of 904 per year over the past five years.

The figures raised concerns from climate advocates, who said they are evidence of climate change’s increasing death toll...

Besides the climate deaths in the USA just this year, all that stands between Earth’s resolve to heat and life, is a power failure. How many Americans would die in rotating brown outs?

What is occurring in Europe is not exclusive to them.

Evidently, legislators like Manchin don’t care about life either domestic or international, just ideology and profits.

People like Machin have outlived their relevancy.

It is all about coal. All those that refuse to accept their planet's future are all entrenched in coal states, West Virginia and Kentucky have the most irrelevant legislators in the US Congress. They have such strong ideologies to remain irrelevant they export "coal death" to other countries. While China and the USA have agreements about the climate crisis, these legislators ignore, deny and ridicule the very reason the USA advocates China's movement to alternative energies.

When the Supreme Court (click here)
issued its divisive environmental policy decision, West Virginia v. EPA, at the end of its last session, conservatives applauded that the Environmental Protection Agency “can no longer sidestep Congress to exercise broad regulatory power,” as West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrissey put it. The decision shut down what the Heritage Foundation’s Derrick Morgan called a “power grab” by EPA.

For the Biden administration, it was “another devastating decision that aims to take our country backwards,” the president charged. The outgunned liberal minority on the court said that the ruling had stripped EPA’s power “to respond to ‘the most pressing environmental challenge of our time.’ ”...

Climate Change Policies (click here) - Will you survive in the state where you live?

Least-healthy States: Alabama, Alaska, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, West Virginia, Wyoming

Any particular color come to mind when looking at those states? Any degree of impoverishment come to mind when thinking about those states? Welcome to the irrelevancy of the Republican agenda. No wonder they want to take the country by another civil war.

Republicans do not care about life, they seek ideology that suits their purpose. Law breaking, corruption and lies are all foundation allowances for the irrelevant right wing.

Recently, McConnell and what's his name...Oh, yeah, Rand Paul had an argument over an anti-abortion judge used as a bargaining chip to be placed by Biden in a federal seat. Evidently, McConnell obstructed the bargaining chip judicial placement.

A couple of things. It is interesting to realize Rand Paul, an eye doctor, doesn't trust women. What is more interesting McConnell pulled the stunt because it would temper the harsh appearance of Republicans. That is why the gun legislation passed, so they could say they care about current issues even though they don't trust women to make decisions. The obstruction of Paul's ambitions was another move to get Republicans elected when they obviously shouldn't be.

Libertarians on climate. Rand Paul for all protestations with every bill presented in Congress really doesn't care about personal liberties, except for guns. He always changes his mind anyway, except for guns, and votes with Republicans.

Libertarianism, Climate Change and Individual Responsibility
by Olle Torpman
Res Publica 28, 125-148 (20220

Much has been written about climate change (click here) from an ethical view in general, but less has been written about it from a libertarian point of view in particular. In this paper, I apply the libertarian moral theory to the problem of climate change. I focus on libertarianism’s implications for our individual emissions. I argue that (i) even if our individual emissions cause no harm to others, these emissions cross other people’s boundaries, (ii) although the boundary-crossings that are due to our ‘subsistence emissions’ are implicitly consented to by others, there is no such consent to our ‘non-subsistence emissions’, and (iii) there is no independent justification for these emissions. Although offsetting would provide such a justification, most emitters do not offset their non-subsistence emissions. Therefore, these emissions violate people’s rights, which means that they are impermissible according to libertarianism’s non-aggression principle.

Libertarians believe in personal liberty and responsibilities:

My philosophy (click here) as a Libertarian is carried on several key fundamentals: the non-aggression principle, private property rights, self-ownership, and the belief that liberty is the best way to enable individual human flourishing. Reproductive rights fall into that in multiple aspects: nobody else has the right to decide if, when and how you become a parent. Nobody else has the right to impose upon your property or your body without your informed, ongoing and unambiguous consent.

Abortion is just one aspect of reproductive rights: this applies to contraception, IVF, surrogacy, adoption, sterilization, birth methods and the termination of a pregnancy. Individuals should be making these choices for themselves, not looking to the government to impose the decisions of others. None of us has the right to decide for someone else making this profoundly personal choice. We can see what government prohibitions do on countless other topics — we can also look to other countries and see what these prohibitions do to civil liberties. We know better than to use the force of government here.

I’m “pro-choice”, but I’m also “pro-quality-of-life”: to enable individual human flourishing, it’s essential that we determine our own destinies — including if, when, and how we bring life into being. Through that, we can enable a world in which every parent is willing, every child is wanted, and all of us are free.

Conservatives have choices outside the corrupt, violent and insurgent Republican Party, unfortunately, the Libertarians are disenfranchised from being relevant. That is unfortunate because they are completely relevant in today's world.

I think it is strange that an entire party with a significant following of Americans rarely see an election victory. Libertarians are free, not insurgent.

376 law enforcement officers

Robb Elementary School had grades 2nd thru 4th.

Total number of students before the slaughter was 538 students.

There were at least one official for every 2 students. They could have escorted every child in that school to safety and they couldn’t bring themselves to walk down a hall.

Group think was of survival of the officers. The AR-15 had them paralyzed. No one wanted to die and the group decided, based on past school shootings, that everyone in the classroom was dead. Why risk one’s life if everyone is dead anyway?

I supposed they had him cornered and contained. He couldn’t continue to kill. What else do you want from nearly 400 law enforcement officials?

Putin going to Iran

Is he going to support Iran’s aspirations to nuclear weapons or deter it? Given that Iran has enough uranium to begin weapons testing, I doubt Putin is going to deter it.

I sincerely believe no other country wants a nuclear Middle East. Iran provides weapons to other Shia, namely the Houthis. A nuclear Middle East simply is not a good idea.

Hezbollah does not need nukes in Lebanon or Venezuela.

Putin has become a ridiculously dangerous person. Hitler never had nukes when he committed genocide. The global community needs to be serious about the recklessness that is Russia.

Russia’s nuclear program is unsophisticated and reckless. The deaths of Russian scientists is telling.

Bill Barr’s Election Rule

For as much as I believe Bill Barr ran a corrupt office at least at the DOJ, especially in regard to the Muller investigation, I was impressed with his limit setting with Trump regarding January 6th and “The Big Lie.”

Hind sight is frequently more clear than foresight. In that, I have to wonder what Barr knew about January 6th coup attempt and when he knew it. If he had any inclination about the coup, was the extra condition added to the department’s memo regarding election season investigation, for the purpose of giving Trump a completely clear runway?

Knowing today, the FBI stated the 2020 election was not effected by foreign powers, by ensuring Trump had a clear runway, there was no reason to question the election. Hence, no valid reason to delay the peaceful transfer of power.

I think Barr knew how to handle Trump and while ethics is in question, maybe more than ethics, he managed to keep his job. In realizing his role in trying to stop Trump from the coup with the reality of his election loss, Barr’s character is revealed or redeemed.

That said.

When it comes to the Merrick DOJ, I think a reassessment of that memo, which out of respect includes Barr’s special condition, needs to eliminate that special condition. The Merrick DOJ needs to get on with prosecution so Barr doesn’t have to live through another Trump administration.

This was a real assault on the country. The country needs the DOJ to do its job to protect it. Sooner the better.

Most polls of Americans believe Trump should be charged. 60 percent of Americans. Trump was an organizer to give the White Supremacists/Nationalists a clear runway to violence and the coup.

The Secret Service is living up to its’ name

I don’t appreciate the secretive Secret Service losing records. Oops. They need to give testimony about this phenomena.

In addition to the testimony the devices before and after the loss needs be interrogated. I do believe the FBI is the best agency to carry out that device interrogations.

I also believe an ethics review is in order for the agents. It is more than appropriate and in those ethics review is to understand their loyalty to the US Constitution.

Oh, yeah, during the Trump administration were there any whistleblower agents? And, if there were, where were those reports filed?

The Secret Service “Oops” opens the agency up to all kinds of questions.

Is the FCC leftovers from Trump the problem? The answer is yes.

Jessica Rosenworcel (click here) returned as a Commissioner to the Federal Communications Commission on August 11, 2017 after being nominated by the President and unanimously confirmed by the United States Senate....

Democratic lawmakers’ (click here) inability to secure a majority at the Federal Communications Commission has stymied plans for the agency to restore Obama-era net neutrality rules.

Amid the impasse, lawmakers are renewing efforts to take the issue into their own hands with a sweeping new bill, according to a copy obtained by The Technology 202.

Led by Sens. Edward J. Markey (D-Mass.) and Ron Wyden (D-Ore.), the Net Neutrality and Broadband Justice Act would reclassify broadband as a telecommunications service and open companies like AT&T and Verizon up to stricter oversight by the FCC....

Rosenworcel has been trying to deal with spectrum since 2014, it is time to move on with net neutrality.

Net Neutrality as it was written BACK IN THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION!!

More than any other invention of our time, (click here) the Internet has unlocked possibilities we could just barely imagine a generation ago. And here's a big reason we've seen such incredible growth and innovation: Most Internet providers have treated Internet traffic equally. That's a principle known as "net neutrality" — and it says that an entrepreneur's fledgling company should have the same chance to succeed as established corporations, and that access to a high school student's blog shouldn't be unfairly slowed down to make way for advertisers with more money....

Rosenworcel has been involved in the FCC for a long time, what is the problem already!

June 28, 2022
By Riley Haight

Washington - At a conference (click here) hosted by the American Library Association on Friday, FCC Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel reaffirmed her support for net neutrality rules.

According to a press release, Rosenworcel stated she wants to make a “return to common carrier regulation of internet service providers which aims to prevent ISPs from slowing down or blocking web traffic.”

Rosenworcel “fully backs” net neutrality rules passed under the Obama administration that were repealed during the Trump administration. “I opposed the last administration’s effort to roll it back, and I want it to once again become the law of the land,” she stated at the ALA....

President Biden needs to get this straightened out and make progress. This is ridiculous! The public is tired of Trumpism getting in the way. The public is tired of waiting!

LIVE FROM GSMA MOBILITY LIVE, ATLANTA: (click here)  Having singled out spectrum as one of the FCC’s biggest challenges at this event two years ago, FCC commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel continues to believe the issue is critical and hinted at plans to launch a high-band spectrum incentive auction.

She hailed the organisation’s incentive auction in the 600MHz band, which involves asking broadcasters to return spectrum they may not be using so the FCC can sell it to operators for use in mobile broadband.

“We sweeten the pot by offering existing broadcasters a cut from the proceeds of the sale,” she said, describing the process as a “really elegant, academic concept” that the FCC is proud of.

The process is ongoing and is expected to finish by early 2017....

OBSTRUCT, OBSTRUCT, OBSTRUCT!

Obstructed Government (click here) Because of the Trump White House the Republicans have the federal government deadlocked and don't care about the people.

REPUBLICANS ARE THE PROBLEM STILL. This is an election year issue!

Ms. Sohn is highly qualified as well as a lawyer. It is time to put responsible people on the FCC that will make Net Neurtrality a reality. This is another topic that has to come before the voters in November this year. Net Neutrality is long overdue and it is the radical GOP that is holding it up. Enough of this mess. Put it out there to the voters. This is VITAL to small business and children!

June 2, 2022
By Margaret Harding McGill and Sara Fischer

Congress hasn't budged (click here) on President Biden's pick for a key tie-breaking FCC seat as the clock ticks down on the chance for a vote.

Why it matters: Without confirmation of Biden's nominee, Gigi Sohn, the communications regulator will remain deadlocked — hobbling efforts to enact the administration's agenda of expanding broadband access and promoting digital equity.

State of play: If Sohn, a lawyer and co-founder of the tech and telecom advocacy group Public Knowledge, doesn't win a vote before summer recess, Democrats could lose their chance to fill the seat should Republicans take control of Congress in November....

These are huge problems. The people can't get their business done and it because Republicans are obstructing the smooth running of the federal government.

So, in addition to Republicans making women second class citizens there is the FACT that Republicans cannot commit to government that runs smoothly. The FCC and Net Neutrality are hanging in the balance in the November elections. It is time to put the Republicans in full view of the hate of people and small business. Evidently, we get in the way of Russian oligarchs and tax breaks for Wall Street.

Look. Russia sabotaged the 2016 elections, the USA cannot afford an FCC that doesn't work for the people and their elections.

Enough of McConnell dictating our lives with radical Supreme Court justices and stacking the deck within the USA agencies. It is time to make this TACTIC against the people an awareness topic in the November elections. The USA is a  mess and it is because of the Republicans.

It would be good if the New York Times continued it's "Live" updates regarding the Climate Crisis.

A country largely without air-conditioning (click here) was struggling to cope in the heat. Rail service was limited for fear the tracks would buckle, and flights at Britain’s largest air base were halted.

The italics simply indicates a different country from the previous paragraph. Each reporting has authors.

Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez of Spain said on Monday that he had visited areas affected by wildfires in the western region of Extremadura. “Climate change kills,” Mr. Sánchez said. “All these waves of wildfires have behind them heat waves caused by the climatic emergency that the planet is experiencing.”

Several areas of France have experienced record-breaking temperatures, approaching or surpassing 100 degrees Fahrenheit in towns including Brest, Saint-Brieuc and Nantes, according to the national weather forecaster. But conditions were expected to quickly shift in the coming hours, with strong winds pushing temperatures down by nearly half in some places along France’s southwestern coast.

The Eastern seaboard seems to becoming more tropical with frequent if not daily rains. The entire Eastern seaboard, including the southeast.

We know for a fact schools of fish in the oceans are shifting north. The problem is they aren't necessarily meeting up with their usual diets. That reality could cause fisheries to collapse, but, marine scientists have had their finger on the pulse of that reality for some time now.

But, as to people, other than their diets and where it is going to come from; with shifting temperatures of the ocean the reality of daily storms in the subtropics that was once Florida, is now farther north than before. In that lies the reality that native vegetation growth could easily be encouraged to allow for more removal of CO2.

Temperate rainforests are a strong potential if states pay attention to their rainfalls and the vegetation growth that is being recorded by botanists. If temperate rainforests are developing in these regions, it should be encouraged and protected.

We’re just about halfway through meteorological summer (click here) — those warmest months of the year — and it’s going to be toasty this week.

If you looked at a chart of average temperature in Greater Boston, you would see that the warmest air typically occurs around July 21, and it’s no surprise that this week is going to be the hottest week of the summer so far.

With a frontal system approaching Monday, clouds will be plentiful yet rain will not. As the moisture moves toward the coastline, it will lose its potency, and the best chance of afternoon and evening showers and storms will be well west of Route 495 and north into New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine....

Yes, the northern reaches of the Climate Crisis could be about temperate rainforests. Not tropical, but, subtropical. Actually, I would expect it. I once made that observation to Former Governor Bev Purdue.

This is another woman with no rights or respect.

Two weeks ago came the moment James, 59, had been awaiting for years, as she stood before a panel at the state’s Division of Administrative Law Appeals in Malden and gave her version of the night Captain Paul Russell allegedly stormed up behind her in his office and tried to wrestle her gun out of its holster.

His behavior “did not follow protocol,” James testified. “As a Black woman, I felt extremely nervous and uncomfortable in that situation.”

After that altercation in June 2012, James was never permitted to return to work. In a department where Black officers are disciplined at a disproportionate rate, James worries her ouster is another example of a culture that reflexively defends high-ranking, white male officials. Her prolonged legal fight, she said in an interview, is evidence of the department’s determination to “keep sweeping things under the rug so they never get properly addressed.”...

This week, we got a new view of space. And it was epic. (click here)

Cosmic cliffs of glowing gas, spinning galaxies, dying stars. The James Webb telescope caught those images of ancient history — billions of light years away — showing what the universe looked like when it was just forming after the Big Bang.

Some 20,000 people worked on the project for almost two decades, including engineer Bill Ochs, who has been the project manager since 2011. He joined All Things Considered to share the journey to this monumental snapshot in time....

I am sincerely proud of the American space program, especially when it opens up the knowledge of astrophysicists (click here).

The James Webb telescope has began an entire new branch of science. This is the way a healthy society acts. It makes investments into the understanding of our world and it's place in all that is "out there." Every tax paying American contributed to this project by NASA. We, as a country, have the most advanced technology ever to understand the universe we are a part of and it is all good.

I congratulate NASA on this accomplishment and all allies that participated. The result is wonderful. We need to hear more and more.
