We know the handicapped American worker has the highest unemployment rate and the lowest percentage of worker in the country.

This is an Executive Order by President Obama.  And who is it that has a PROBLEM with his idea of IMPORTANT ?

HUH ?

WHO EXACTLY !!!!

Model Strategies for Recruitment and Hiring of People with Disabilities as Required Under
Executive Order 13548  (click title to entry - thank you)

On July 26, 2010, President Obama issued Executive Order (EO) 13548, which directs Executive departments and agencies to improve their efforts to employ Federal workers with disabilities and targeted disabilities through increased recruitment, hiring, and retention of these individuals. OPM, in consultation with the White House, the Department of Labor (DOL), the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), has developed, as required by the EO, model recruitment and hiring strategies for agencies to use to increase their employment of people with disabilities. That document is attached to this memorandum....

I have said it over and over and over again. The Right Wing Media Extremists will 'pull stunts' to attack attention for their wealth. Advertisers.

They post extremist views regardless of content and don't care.  They lie about sincere problems, like the 'gang' behaviors of children due to racial activism by those in the media that transcends the populous because they find power they didn't have before in a political theater and where IT DOES NOT belong.

The Right Wing Extremists are everything that DESCENT people are not and they enjoy the PROFITS of being abusive, unkind and CONTROLLING.

Every OTHER media service, that cares to, has stated this is racist.  It is racist.

APOLOGIES?

NO?

Oh, apologies are only EXPECTED from the victim of their abuse, such as Middle School administrators.

Got it.

Victimize the victim.  That is the oldest 'methodology' in the book.

What the Middle School administrators SHOULD HAVE DONE and WHAT I WOULD HAVE DONE if in their shoes was to call the local police and sheriff departments if needed and disband the protest and arrest those that threatened UNREST on school property.

There are proper RULES for children and there are PROPER venues of concern by parents.  Exercise them !

END OF DISCUSSION.

Kate Middleton consents to marry. I don't know what she saw in the guy.

Prince calls in lawyers to bring shutters down  (click title to entry - thank you)

Andrew Alderson, London
January 8, 2007

LAWYERS for Prince William's girlfriend, Kate Middleton, plan a "three-pronged" attack over persistent harassment by photographers.
Harbottle & Lewis, the firm that acts for Prince Charles as well as Ms Middleton, is reported to be about to take civil and criminal action against those they say make her life intolerable.
Ms Middleton has been given increased police protection, fuelling rumours of an imminent engagement....

Let's just get this straight. This is not about anyone being OFFENDED.

The Right Wing Extremist Media is 'at it' again.  This morning, all of a sudden, the issue regarding the SAFETY of children turned into one of racist bias/bigotry by the Right Wing Political Extremists.

That is not the case and never was.  The reason rules exist to LIMIT behavior in any instance when it is a child is for safety of themselves and others.  It has absolutely NOTHING to do with anyone being offended.

(11-16) 04:00 PST Denair, Stanislaus County (click title to entry - thank you)
A Stanislaus County school official has apologized to a student who was told to remove an American flag from the back of his bicycle.
Last week, a supervisor at Denair Middle School told 13-year-old Cody Alicea to remove the flag over concerns for the teen's safety. Officials say some students had made threatening remarks amid racial tensions stemming from the display of a Mexican flag during Cinco de Mayo....

So, because the Superintendent's switchboard could not handle a barrage of calls from all over the nation, spawned by extremist activists, the school district was made to apologize and change the rules.  That's the correct way of doing things?  No.  That is intimidation and mob behavior and does NOT resolve any of the safety problems for any of these children.

Something will happen.  The city will probably have to step up police patrols, pay overtime and try to handle problems that were exacerbated by yesterday's strong arming of people simply trying to do their jobs.  I am sure there are plenty of veterans that work in the schools administration and value their jobs, the children they serve, the parents that entrust them with their jobs and their paychecks.

Why is it that extremists always cause problems after the 'best measures' have already been employed?

The war is over for them, it is why they are veterans and they need to stop solicitus behavior that endanger children's lives.

There is a reason why schools have policies and they are usually to protect all the students.  The veterans are out of line and involving a child in a statement when all he needs to do is attend school.  I believe riding rough shod over a school administration that is trying everything they know how to equalize all the factors in preventing violence is abusive.  Are the veterans going to be body guards from now on?

Flags have become a 'demonstration' content among children and it needs to stop.  There is too much violence in our schools at nearly every grade and there needs to be sincere understanding to the 'idea' that children's safety comes first.

There have been issues within the USA that are surrounded with danger.  Illegal immigration is one of them.  It is not a topic for a child and wearing 'flag emblems' are becoming a source of 'gang' behavior.

It is that behavior and what danger it elicits for children creating the problem,  NOT the fact everyone is proud to be an American.  Children are NOT to be put in the middle of conflict, they simply have to FIRST grow up and learn their school lessons, do their homework and respect their teachers and parents.

Cody Alicea, 13, is now a victim.  It is just that simple.

He is the focus of anger and hatred and people are taking up sides.  Shame on every adult involved in the opposition demonstration of the school policy.   Shame on all of you.  You need to grow up FIRST and then attend School Board Meetings.  His parents did not use good judgment in allowing a 13 year old child to become the center of a national debate.  It was some of the poorest judgment I have witnessed and I sincerely don't care what Palin or any other political figure has to say about it, Mother Grizzly or not.  It is poor judgment and this is going to become a harassment issue of someone.  Either Cody or a classmate that is Hispanic or of another ethnicity.

There is an American flag flying over every public school in the country.  There is an assignment daily of students to raise the flag at the beginning of the day and take it down at the end of school.  This is not about respect for our nation or the flag.  This a political stunt and a child has been victimized.

The PROPER way of handling this is for parents to attend School Board meetings and defend their child to the administration and ELECTED officials.  If children are allowed to wear flag emblems there needs to be an understanding that it isn't going to result in a 'gang' behavior that will result in injury of a child or worse.

Now, if PARENTS feel strongly about the topic they need to attend school board meetings and stop brow beating administrators that are simply doing their jobs and attempting to protect every child in their school.  Attending school board meetings and PTA meetings isn't glamourous, or doesn't get national media attention, but, it gets LOCAL issues settled.

ATTITUDES is not what a mentally healthy child needs in learning and growing.  Shame on everyone, including the media that wants to make a child a 'darling' for no clear reason at all.

An aspect of the Health Insurance Reform Bill passed last year was the exclusion of genetic information in acquairing insurance.

It is to protect citizens from any pre-existing conditions according to some obscure genetic disease that never manifests into anything.

It also opens up citizens to be categorized according to genetic code, is an invasion of privacy and could result in all kinds of investigation where none is needed  As far as I am concerned, investigation into any disease process of the human body has to be conducted based upon APPARENT symptoms, function, quality of life and longevity.  If there is a genetic 'anomaly' it might be interesting to investigate it and track it, but, with private funds and not government funds.  Anomalies don't constitute 'definitive' threats to qualify of life and longevity.  But, simply anomalies.

The EEOC enforces Title II (click title to entry - thank you) of GINA (dealing with genetic discrimination in employment). The Departments of Labor, Health and Human Services and the Treasury have responsibility for issuing regulations for Title I of GINA, which addresses the use of genetic information in health insurance....

...With insurance, there’s the issue of how equal a risk distribution one wants to achieve. We could have health insurance, for example, that is prohibited from charging people extra based on pre-existing conditions. In other words, we all bear the cost of health insurance equally. Another model is for those who are more at risk to pay higher premiums and those who are less at risk to pay lower premiums. I generally support insurance that is more equal – even if that means I pay more. The primary benefit of insurance, I believe, is to spread risk throughout society so as to eliminate certain contingencies in life. Society as a whole absorbs these losses, rather than particular individuals. Unfortunately, insurance only partially functions in this way today....

Insurance premiums are supposed to be distributed among a pool of citizens / subscribers.  The 'idea' is to realize that disease process is not 'fixed' in any person's life.  Trauma, cancers and other diseases such as heart disease and COPD are based in lifestyle and environmental factors.  So, the concept that a person should have health insurance rates that are defined on these particular aspects of life is unrealistic.  People live their lives spontaneously and there is no accurate way of determining when the next trauma event is going to occur, while weather frequently increases those odds.  So, if one applies for insurance in an area of the country where snow occurs should they pay more for health insurance?  No. Why?  Because people in these regions of the country become accustomed to these events and have better skills at protecting from them.  So, the possibility of controlling health insurance rates based on trying to determine 'chaos' is a hideous concept.  Any statistician worth their salt know that the larger the pool in any statistical analysis the likelihood all the chaos is absorbed into a very small margin of error.  It is better to determine a health insurance rate on a national populous than on a small pool of people.  It just works out better for everyone.

Rebel armies fail to link up in bid to tackle Burmese forces after sham election
urmese rebel hopes of creating a united front to tackle regime forces on the battlefield received a setback on Tuesday when the legendary commander of the ethnic army in southern Shan State said his 7,000 men couldn't be spared at this time to help Karen forces pinned down 100 miles south on the Thai-Burmese border.
The Karen soldiers - of the Democratic Karen Buddhist Army's crack 5th Brigade - were desperately trying to hold on to regime positions they conquered in fierce fighting which began as polls closed on Sunday in Burma's sham election.
Claims by Thai authorities that the fighting had died down in the Burmese border town of Myawaddy were disputed by observers in nearby border areas of Thailand, where gunfire and explosions were still echoing in the mountains on Tuesday morning. At least 30 soldiers and civilians have died so far in the fighting.
Refugees continue to flood into Thailand, and aid organisations in the Thai border town of Mae Sot say they are now trying to care for at least 20,000. Thailand, meanwhile, says it is preparing to repatriate the refugees because the situation appears to be safe for them to return....

Fighting between the Burmese military and ethnic Karen rebels follows the release of pro-democracy leader Aung Sung Suu Kyi. (Soe Zeya Tun/Reuters)

That statement is a lie!  Aung Sung Suu Kyi has been under house arrest and the fighting has been going on the ENTIRE time.  She is NOT to be used as a scapegoat again for the poor leadership that cannot quell the rage of the people.

THIS did not happen overnight.

The army and their Karen allies were also threatening two bases of the Karen National Union (KNU), the largest rebel group in Myanmar.
Myanmar government forces captured three Karen rebel positions on Thursday in the latest fighting that has forced thousands of refugees to flee into neighbouring Thailand, commanders said.
The army and their Karen allies were also threatening two bases of the Karen National Union (KNU), the largest rebel group in the eastern former Burma.
"We captured 3 small KNU positions and are closing in on two main bases," said Captain Kha Koe of the Democratic Karen Buddhist Army (DKBA), which joined government troops in an offensive against the KNU on June 3.
There were no confirmed reports of casualties....

ADD to the many hardships in Burma one more danger: being a boy. The military, struggling to meet recruiting quotas, is buying, kidnapping and terrorising boys as young as 10 to fill its ranks.
A report by Human Rights Watch says military recruiters and civilian brokers scour train and bus stations, markets and other public places for boys and force them to serve.
Some may simply disappear without their families' knowledge and spend years on the front lines of a brutal war against ethnic insurgencies.
"In recent years, the military has continued to expand while at the same time losing large numbers of soldiers to desertion," a co-author of the report, Jo Becker, said.
Recruiters and agents receive cash payments and other incentives for recruits, even those who fail to meet basic health and age requirements, said the report, which was based on interviews in Burma, Thailand and China.
The large number of child soldiers in Burma's army - and in the ranks of some 30 armed ethnic groups - has been known for years. But the report, coming at a moment of crisis in Burma, illustrates the kind of abuses that, combined with economic hardships, resulted in the anti-Government protests in August and September that were crushed by the military junta.
"Even before the recent crackdown, many young adults rejected military service because of gruelling conditions, low pay and mistreatment by superior officers," the report said.
In response to criticism, the Government formed a high-level committee in 2004 to prevent the kidnapping of under-age soldiers. "In fact, the committee is a sham," Ms Becker said....

What did she do "W"rong?

Other than being the best Speaker of the House in the Modern Era.  What did she do "W"rong?  See, no one really has an answer to that question that matters.  She was incredible.  Absolutely incredible and passed sweeping legislation nearly every day that the House was in session.  It is why the Murdoch Right Wing Media Extremists demonized her.  She is good at what she does.  When anyone comes up with a real answer, let me know.

She wrote the book, so to speak.  It can be purchased from Amazon beginning at $6.76 new and $2.10 used.  (click here)
Questions?

I am feeling a little under the weather this evening. Sorry. Perhaps I didn't mention my Father passed away on October 11, 2010.

I am allowed to have my days.  Today was one of those sad days.  The family is making plans for the holidays to 'make it through'.  See, my Father loved Christmas time.  And.  Well.  It isn't going to be the same and we have to start new traditions.  I should do a presentation on my Dad, but, I will have to scan in photos.  So, I'll see.  He didn't die well under Hospice care and everyone should know about it.  As a matter of fact, if he was given the comfort care he was promised and we expected, he would see at least one more Christmas with us.

So, I have a presentation in mind and I will carry it out next weekend, but, the tone is somewhat like this.

There were demonstrations in Great Britain this week due to the draconian cuts in government spending.  Basically, the Conservative Party is shutting down the government.  You don't thinks so?  Let me convince you.

Millbank occupation caught police badly prepared, and fuelled belief on Labour's left and among unions that direct action will bring results
Sunday 14 November 2010
...Few "occupations" have been more swiftly and widely condemned. The storming by students of Conservative party headquarters in London last week drew furious comment from across the political spectrum. The Tory party chairman, Baroness Warsi, said: "Of course it is right that governments make policies and people have a right to protest when they disagree. But when that protest turns ugly and resorts to violence, that helps nobody and certainly does not take the debate forward."
But as the arguments about the limits of legitimate protest raged, a more supportive analysis of the possibilities of direct action began to emerge from elements of Labour's left and in trade union circles. "Just shows what can be done when people get angry. We must build on this," said the Labour MP John McDonnell on Twitter....

I don't know who Cameron is trying to kid here, but, there is no POOR folks that are going to be able to afford to purchase government assets.  It will all go to Plutocrats that will exploit the masses and maintain their march into impoverishment and/or will witness the end of civilized society with the loss of Britain's Brain Trust and Middle and Lower Middle Class.  The Royal Family has to speak out on behalf of the citizens of Great Britain or suffer the wrath 'of the commons.'.  The promises of wealth for all is nothing more than propaganda and/or foolish ideological beliefs.  Cameron should be impeached.

Ministers have been urged to privatise vast swathes of the public sector including libraries, schools, hospitals and even prisons and police stations, and transfer them to community ownership.
In a move designed to trump Margaret Thatcher's mass sell-off of council housing in the 1980s, a new report urges the sweeping transfer of state assets.
The call by centre-right think-tank ResPublica backs a radical extension of the former Prime Minister's right-to-buy policy to cover community assets and services, including leisure centres, roads and ports.
The report will be launched by Local Government minister Greg Clark in a sign that the proposals are being taken seriously in Whitehall, according to the think-tank.
Under the plans, local community groups would be given a right to buy state assets, and even keep profits from running them.
The report warns that as spending cuts become more severe there will be an "unprecedented mass divestment" of state assets including libraries, swimming pools, community halls, council offices, courts, police stations, prison buildings, roads, ports and Whitehall assets.
It states: "Public assets can and, wherever desirable, should become community assets, owned mutually or by individual shareholders or stakeholders in association with communities.
"These public goods can, if properly directed and organised, capitalise both civil society and the bottom 10% of society which currently has negative net wealth."
It added: "We have an unprecedented opportunity to lay the foundations for a truly popular and meaningful 'Big Society' by simultaneously capitalising civil society and spreading ownership.
"More importantly, we have an opportunity to achieve a bottom-up prosperity that builds resilient and independent communities capable of providing individuals with sustainable exits from poverty and entrances into wealth and well-being."

The next two years of legislation in the USA is going to be a waste of time and money .

The committee hearings in the House are going to be propaganda in order to try to build a populous consensus around impeachment of the President.  There will be every wacko agenda in the country brought to bear including "The Birthers."  The rant will be louder than anything the 'real' legislators have to say.

The Climate Crisis is real.  Very real.  The climate temperatures alone are testament to that, but, yet the Right Wing Republicans and their Tea Baggers will seek to put the science community on trial all over again.

This Climate Crisis is unique to Earth's history by the sheer fact there have never been this many oxygen breathing and carbon dioxide expiration 'beings' alive before.  There has never been this volume of carbon dioxide producing consumerism before.   There has never been so much LOSS of forests before in the planet's history.  There have been five known extinctions in Earth's past and four were due to ice ages.  The one extinction that wiped out 97% of all life on Earth was a warming event.  What do they actually believe they think is taking place?  The extremists are in the USA House and they do not even believe the reality of their own lives.  Amazing.

All this mess due to a Plutocracy that will not see their way to invest in the very country that bails them out over and over again.  People are saying it is a lack of confidence.  "W"rong.  It is the reality that people with money, plenty of it, can make money with more income through manipulation of commodities and global currency than actually earning it through investment in small businesses.

An independent Science Assessment Panel investigated "Climategate" (as the Right Wing Media called it) and published their findings with language that stated this:

Climate Researchers Cleared of Malpractice  (click here)

Panel Finds No Evidence of Deliberate Scientific Malpractice

(CBS)  It's too soon to know whether it will quelch the debate over the existance of climate change but an inquiry has cleared climate researchers of malpractice in an affair that became popularly known as "climate-gate." ...

Published on 14 April 2010, Concluded ... "no evidence of any deliberate scientific malpractice in any of the work of the Climatic Research Unit....The CRU's work was "carried out with integrity" and had "fair and satisfactory" methods...found to be "objective and dispassionate...(with) no hint of tailoring results to a particular agenda."...(with) "their sole aim was to establish as robust a record of temperatures in recent centuries as possible.

Now the US House of Representatives is going to open a QUACK session and 'retry' the incident for the AMUSEMENT of their constituency.  It is a complete waste of taxpayer's monies and there are more pressing issues before the Congress including job creation.  The money that will be wasted in this House will be incredible and they are suppose to be fiscally responsible.  Wow.

The facts will never be found as it would require subpoenas of scientists from around the world.  Expensive doesn't even begin to define the cost and if not done correctly it will be nothing but biased and stupid.  It will fill the records of Congress with lies and non-sense just so they can use the powers of their office to insure their next election.  They should be ridiculed for even bring the topic and others to committee as a waste of monies and time of the people of the USA.  It is an abuse of power and the nation should not stand for it.  But, for the sake of 'fun' they'll do it anyway.

The scientific community was never quaking in fear in the first place and it won't be now.

Life after Climategate  (click here)

...Mann said scientists "can do our best to call out the disinformation where we see it." One example of this was how Mann reacted to a Climategate op-ed written by former GOP vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin for The Washington Post. He persuaded the Post to publish his own op-ed, responding to Palin's claims.
Mann praised the American Geophysical Union for providing resources to help set the record straight on climate science. He said journalists also should exercise their traditional role as a "critical and independent arbiter" of the policy debate, particularly in the midst of "politically motivated inquiries that we haven't seen in this country since the 1950s."...

The freedom of Aung San Suu Kyi is always tenuous. She is a pawn. She should go about life in an orderly and predictable way.

Burmese pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi greets supporters after being released from house arrest. Photograph: Mizzima News/EPA

The very last directive of her party is for her assassination.  That is a real possibility for her and she has once before come close to dying.

She is 65 years old and has carried the honor of her family for a long time.  Everyone that knows her loves and admires her and at this point in her life that is the greatest asset she needs to carry forward.

Per political affiliations need to find a way to achieve prominence among the people and that is best done with peaceful meetings in places with small groups and multi-topic agendas, including aspects of the current regime they find acceptable.

The current leadership in the former Burma is simply waiting for the opportunity to aggressively confront the political parties that would see them removed from power.  Given that as a reality, there is no one served if such events take place.  Oppression in the former Burma is a known commodity to the world and its ridicule in an open and aggressive venue is fruitless.  Global leaders need to address the needs and freedom of the people and seek to find a more democratic platform for their elections through trade and cultural exchanges.

Aung San Suu Kyi being an inspiration alive and well is more powerful than a jailed and oppressed leader.  She can find time to write daily reflections and preserve her thoughts for others that care to read them some day in memoirs.  I reflect on the Late Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto and her isolation in London for so many years.  She was able to freely speak about her beloved Pakistan.  She was targeted upon her return to Pakistan and her voice of advocacy silenced.  She was able to hold in ridicule the Former President Bush and his affiliation with Musharraf and the elections being conducted in Pakistan to gain leverage to correct the path of a more democratic process.  She was the leader of her people even though living so far away from them.  She was a power woman all her life.

Aung San Suu Kyi is one of the few people able to best speak for her people and her thoughts are more important then her acting as a target of opposition.

Murdoch is a sensationalist turned junta conspirator. Let's face it the Neocons are his best friends and supporters.

...Every radicalized (click title to entry - thank you) political movement has its anti-Christ. Stalinists had Trotsky. 9/11 conspiracy theorists have Dick Cheney. Islamists have Israel. And now the radical, populist right, led by Glenn Beck, has George Soros....

...They have made him the Emanuel Goldstein in their daily Two Minutes' Hate....

Look every Gentlemen's Club in the world claims to have exotic dancers and those dancers have 'personas,' ie: WWF.  That is what Murdoch's media service has become, exotic entertainers with personas of radicalized political cartoon characters.  While he has started out in Australia as a reasonable, but, power hungry tycoon; he has morphed into an international menace as he tries to portray his media service as legitimate.  It is not.  Murdoch's global media reach has become a power broker and there is no denying it.  It has been purposely designed that way and no one can deny it.  It is THE ARM of a Plutocracy that has designs on war and impoverishment of the masses.  He is a blight on this planet.

He, like his much affectioned Beck, started out the same way.  They were losers that have become radicalized because they can't 'make it' in legitimate media in the Plutocrat world they admire.

All the losers that were once legitimate conservative commentors are now with Murdoch and it is a relief to simply turn off the channel to those characters.

Do you see RED PHONES to the White House on ABC, NBC or CBS at their anchor desk?  I didn't think so.

Ant that is the truth, like it or not.  We have witnessed Murdoch do NOTHING but back extremist after extremist after extremist.  We have witnessed the 'Con Man' game in Iraq and Afghanistan with the Bush White House abandoning the legitimate invasion to defeat al Qaeda, watched the global growth of radicalized Muslims and continue to fend off the elements involved in it.  We have watched the Plutocracy avoid criminal charges while they fleeced the global population of their hard earned right to live in comfort to their death.  We also witness on a daily basis the 'bargaining' away of the value of the USA dollar so the Plutocracy can accumulate wealth while the Middle Class American is cast into deeper and deeper impoverishment.

DON'T EVEN TRY TO STATE THIS ISN'T ACCURATE, YOU'LL RISK BEING CALLED A LIAR.  A VERY BIG LIAR.

Reducing the deficit and debt is not going to be answered by seeking to remove Socail Security from the wealthy.

Social Security is not welfare and there is no way the government can 'qualify' the 'deserving' from the wealthy.

If the is tried as an answer it is an empty provision and simply politics.  If the government is going to make the SSI system a matter of qualifying it is then turning it into a tax and not an entitlement.  I do not believe it is constitutional to do so.

I believe there is a provision that allows people to accept a single payment at the beginning of the payments, but, it never reflects what one will get over a life time of payments.

But, that isn't the primary reason why it won't work.

The wealthiest Americans can afford advisors and there are ways to circumvent the 'qualification' aspect of SSI.    People can spend down their assets and can appropriate them to other people in their lives to manage their affairs.  Wall Street will figure out a way to manage income and assets when an American is nearing retirement so they can qualify for their SSI payments.  That simply isn't going to work the way the panel believes it will.  I believe that is very naive to consider that as possible.  Besides it will add government workers and investigators to enforce that provision.

I am really quite proud of the Democrats. Everyone should be.

They didn't give citizens any false sense of hope regarding the national debt and deficit going into the 2010 elections.  No legislation for continuing tax cuts in a permanent way without having the President's Commission findings first.  I find that admirable.  I also believe the Republicans and the Tea Party have no clue about the best options for resolving the fiscal problems of the nation.  Certainly, Bernanke doesn't.  Wouldn't it be such a mess if there were PERMANENT tax cuts voted in legislation before the election only to find out there are changes in the entire tax code necessary.

The Democrats should not underestimate the resolve of the nation when this topic comes to the floor.  The Baby Boomers were always committed to their children's future and to that end they will see their way to make changes in meaningful ways.  At least that is my assessment of my generation of Americans.   "...The proposal is aimed at cutting $4 trillion from deficits over the next decade...."  I sincerely believe there is much to be discussed and even more to be decided before any significant legislation can be introduced.  This is a very tough economic environment to make all these changes, but, I also believe the President is sensitive to the 'impulsion' of the current economic dynamics.  Regardless of who wanted to hear it, he was correct when there was a freeze put on foreclosures and he made that statement immediately and with clear resolve.  The military spending has to be scaled back.  It is not what the military wants to hear, but, the problem of terrorism is best addressed in 'protective and preventative' measures with strong allies that share intelligence.  It is known that wars increase the clout of terrorists among their followers.

Erskine Bowles (left) and former Sen. Alan Simpson present their plan on Capitol Hill.

The reduction in military spending will have to be a focus of a PEACETIME military that will prevent Neocon War Mongers from running rough shod over the United Nations Security Council and entering nations illegally for their assets.  A peacetime military should be the focus of any downsizing and it should be unshakeable in that resolve.

I especially like the idea of removing all tax deductions from the tax code.  Oh, I know it is laughable to many, but, it will remove a great deal of 'impetus' to the corruption Republicans demand to serve their cronies.

At this stage of the game, reducing the government workforce by 10 percent is an idea, but, it also adds burden to the country in that it increases the unemployed.  The cuts should be prudently proposed in areas that are not essential to ENFORCING provisions that protect Americans, namely the FDA and the EPA.  We would be a sorry nation to allow toxins back into the air, water and food supply of our nation.  These agencies are vital to protecting children and their future and their heritage to an intact nation with resources that make their nation more valuable and not raped.

The Democrats are wonderful people.  We are dedicated and loyal Americans.  I have heard the very thoughtful reflection of our Democratic legislators regarding the deficit and debt and they KNOW there business.  It is why so many are re-elected year after year.

I believe there is a real opportunity here to accept THE TRUTH and seek to make America the nation it SHOULD be rather than the corrupt infrastructure it has become over decades dominated by Republican corruption and cronyism.

I trust the Democrats to make the argument for a strong and vibrant Middle Class that will sustain this country for centuries to come.  The Middle Class needs to be the 'sculpted' focus of the Democratic legislators.  They need to keep their constituencies informed and they need to be OUT THERE talking and enforcing the PROPER balance to the changes we have to endure.

I see this as a 'one shot' opportunity to bring viability and sustainability to the United States and it should be approached with that precision.  President Obama is the man for this job and I am grateful for him and for every Democratic legislator.

As we go through this process, I am confident we will hear a lot from OMB.  Numbers are numbers and THE TRUTH can't be hidden among rhetorical words and phrases.

..."It's a lot to digest. I support the goal," said Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont., chairman of the Senate Finance Committee.  But, he said, "we're at the early stages."

Senate Budget Committee Chairman Kent Conrad, D-N.D., said commission members will meet this week and again next week to continue discussions and "offer alternatives."

Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., battered by Democrats over the details of his own plan to balance the budget, said he is excited to "see another plan put out there."...

Happy Veteran's Day. Not everyone is satisfied about this mess, huh? Let's talk.

When I first saw this I thought it was some kind of 'hover-craft.'  I'll tell you why.

But.

It is wrong of the military, whom we count on for so much of our security to simply pass judgement without a complete explanation as to why and how they came to those findings.  If the military wants a good relationship with the people of the USA and the global community COMMUNICATION is key.  If someone is spending time figuring it out, then they should be DOCUMENTING it and releasing it to the public UNLESS it is classified and then the military needs to simply state CLASSIFIED or UNKNOWN AND INVESTIGATING.  If the military identified objects that were 'curious' on a regular basis this would not be such a huge issue now.

Okay, that is the soapbox.

Now, why do I believe it is what I said it is.

One more thought, we pay the military to figure this mess out and that has to come with some form of accountability.

To begin, the EVIDENCE, while one is trying to find out what the 'glistening' object is at the end of the trail is in the vapor trail.  I didn't believe it was a hover-craft or anything else due to the 'object' but the vapor trail.

I also believe the helicopter pilot is important in all this and should be able to place the object GEOGRAPHICALLY from land or sea and ABOUT the location, unless this was indeed a missile, such as a Star Wars Exercise which could be seen for a long distance given the current climate conditions.

But, as to the evidence in the vapor trail.

There are two loops in the vapor trail.  AND. There is a 'significant puff of exhaust emission' as well.  The first loop is in the dark horizon and the second loop is in the clouds.  I don't know of any aircraft that would produce that pattern of vapor trail (or contrail if that is what one prefers).  Why would an aircraft circle in such a tight radius and is there one capable of doing that?  Actually there are three, aren't there?  The smallest of the loops is below the first one I mentioned in the dark horizon.  So, the circles are small and then get bigger and then there is that exhaust BUBBLE, if you will.

Now, I would expect the loops to become progressively bigger from bottom to top and not the other way around.  Why?  Because the longer the loops are in the atmosphere the more 'dissipated' they will become and take on a larger diameter.  But, that isn't what occurred in EVIDENCE.  Therefore, the amount of PROPULSION being used to attain 'height' (break gravity) is greater as the aircraft achieves higher altitudes.  So, while the loops are ALSO dissipating and becoming larger in diameter in the atmosphere there is also greater use of PROPULSION to achieve the height and TRAJECTORY to leave Earth's gravity and/or simply attain a higher altitude..

Now, let's put this into context before imagination gets too carried away.  I heard the former Captain Sully speak yesterday and he stated he never saw one UFO in his entire and lengthy career.  That means something, okay?  Definately.  It could be he wasn't looking for anything like that and he was a dedicated pilot and the sighting don't happen that easily, but, rarely of anything one could call a UFO, but, his observation capacity is significant over a long period of time and counts for evidence all by itself.  THE question here is does Captain Sully have enough RANDOMNESS in his life to witness such events?  THAT is the "null hypothesis" to begin an investigation to his FACTUAL reporting.

That said.

The 'flight patterns' of any commercial airline leaving from that vacinity is well known AND in observing the progression of the vapor trail - additionally, do any of those airlines have events in their take off and landings that indicate progressive increases in their PROPULSION to fly a course?  If I recall my flights on such aircraft there is a significant acceleration at 'take off' that attains a 'coasting' velocity.  The question here is there that type and frequent increase in thrust during a commercial flight that would leave this curious vapor trail?  I don't recall such accelerations and it would be contrary to a SMOOTH flight to have that occur and I don't recall any significant weather pattern that would demand that kind of 'rescue' propulsion, especially, if there was a helicopter in the air at the same time and in a fairly 'nearby' location.  So, to 'casually' state this was an airline vapor trail is somewhat and reasonably questionable.  There is a reason, through their own experience, that the public (on a global scale) is concerned about this incident and its reporting to conclusion.

Personally?

I believe it is a missile of some kind.  But, to explore the 'hover-craft' scenario, which could lend itself to UFOs, let's go there.  Oh yeah, if the USA is stating they don't know of any missile firing yesterday at the time of this incident and MEAN IT.  Then it wasn't a USA missile.

Now, if a 'hover-craft' of some capacity is taking off it would use a minor amount of fuel INITIALLY.  Why?  Because to use enough propulsion at higher altitudes when one is so near the ground would only send the object up for a short distance and then slam it back into the ground without a significant and rapid computer guidance system that would compensate for all the variables needed to keep a hover-craft upright to progressively 'lift off' out of Earth's orbit.  An aircraft has to be light enough to fly and there is no capacity for a large number of super computers to accommodate that kind of calculation IN FLIGHT while continuing to 'maintain' its 'attitude' in midair.  The most the shuttle uses is five on-board computers for its guidance system.  Got that?

I am not going to repeat or rewrite any of this.  So, figure out what you need to from what is being typed now.

Now.  The hover-craft as I see it would lift off at a remote location simply because it has to be 'housed' somewhere and we already know there is the theory that any alien presence on Earth would be 'housed' in an underwater environment that humans don't have capacity to invade.  Granted we haven't gone to every nook and cranny of Earth's subterrainian environment, but, that seems a little far fetched considering all the military submarines and 'use' of the waters of Earth.  The 'echo' location of radar would have SOMETHING, somewhere of such an encounter and it would be logged as 'miscellaneous' or something of that nature in a library within the Pentagon or some military records area.

The 'idea' this is a UFO is somewhat estranged from realty when one considers the vast amount of information accumulated over long periods of time with high amounts of randomness.  Additionally, there is a layer of water about 1000 feet down in the ocean whereby any sound generated within that 'so-far' layer is carried globally if one is listening.  As a matter of fact that layer of ocean is used by whales and submarines as a 'listening post' to global traffic.  SOMETHING would have turned up over this many decades for the number of UFO's that have been reported over the years.

So, if this is a UFO taking off, it would go something like this.

Initial lifeoff to an altitude where 'stability' was achieved in a fairly short period of time, then additional 'thrust' to achieve a higher level of altitude before lifting off to a greater altitude in a use of more ample propulsion.  Interesting so far?  Sound right considering the EVIDENCE of the vapor trail?  Yes?  Maybe it seems strange that I find the 'incident' completely implasible to be a UFO, yet realize the evidence could point to it?  Well, that is simply being a mind questioning the evidence and what the 'known' capacity of any known aircraft that could have achieved it being unrealistis to be a contrail of a commercial aircraft.

Now, what is really interesting about this picture is the 'vapor bubble' or puff of smoke at the middle loop.

It makes complete sense actually.  Because the 'length' of distance between the second loop within the dark horizon and the loop at the level of the clouds is significantly longer than the two initial thrusts of propulsion.  Follow?

The two initial low level loops were to stabilize the aircraft after take off.  The other 'thrust' events would be to achieve altitude and the initial propulsion out of the 'initial stabilizing events' to begin to an ascent to outer space would be far greater than the two initial thrusts.  I know you understand all that.  So, that would explain the large 'puff' or 'propulsion bubble' at the level above the second 'stabilizing' event.  How do I know that?  Physics.  It can be captured in a lab if anyone cares to try.

One other thing.  The PROPULSIVE force doesn't have to be traditional FUEL SYSTEMS either.  I believe of the most interesting aspects to inventing a space vehicle is the use of 'hydrogen' that converts to 'water vapor.' after burning with oxygen in the Earth's atmosphere, as a fuel of choice.  Hydrogen for thrusters to maneuver in space is an excellent choice because hydrogen is somewhat abundant in outer space where oxygen would not be IN A VOID.  Our sun emits hydrogen into its solar wind.

Have a better day.

Another hanging chad issue. There is already legal precedent.

I understand how Joe Miller might be seeing this and it seems somewhat unfair to a man that legitimately won the Alaskan Republican Primary, but, I admire Lisa Murkowski and her dedication to the people of her state.  I also admire a woman with ambition.  That is vitally important in politics.  I sincerely believe, however, Lisa took her 'clout' for granted and sided with Wall Street when she really needed to be 'in touch' with her constituency.  She was remiss in the primary and was completely out of touch with her citizens.  That is fairly obvious, but, that does not mean people still don't value her for the dedication she showed following her folly.

There is already legal precedent, in that, all any ballot has to prove is VOTER INTENT.  There really isn't anything else to say.  So long as the ballot resembles the candidate's name that is all that is necessary.  JONES does not look like MURKOWSKI and vice versa, but, a misspelled name that resembles the candidate's name is all that is necessary.  Voters from all walks of life and socio-economic levels vote.  All educational backgrounds and I sincerely believe Joe Miller is hurting his chances at a good relationhip with the voters of Alaska.  He is saying that a simple misspelling should be invalidated while taking advantage of a voter's lack of savvy or educational level.  There is a limit, but, any ballot that looks like the candidate's name and cannot be misinterpreted should be counted as a valid method of a citizen experssing their CHOICE.

...Miller says (click title to entry - thank you) the National Republican Senatorial Committee has committed support for his legal costs. He says he believes the commitment so far is $20,000....
