Many of Donald Trump's answers are moderate and do not completely reflect the extremists that voted for him..

Donald J. Trump (click here) is meeting with journalists from the newsroom and opinion staff at The New York Times. The interview is occurring after Mr. Trump first tweeted that he would cancel it, then reversed himself.
Several Times reporters, news editors and opinion writers are using Twitter to report live on the interview with Mr. Trump. We are publishing a selection here and updating this article frequently during the meeting.
He even stated he rather the popular vote over the Electoral College.
He states he doesn't want American competitiveness effected by the climate crisis. I believe he has to rethink that. Most trade in the world compete for the American market place. The USA economy is in a strong place to balance business against the planet. There really is no contest, the planet has no options to balance business and insure the safe levels of greenhouse gases that effect it.
Neglecting the future of Americans is simply wrong. People have died becauseof the climate crisis and that has to be a reality. All to often 'it happens to the other guy' is the political scenario than confronting the beast and rendering it neutral.
The climate crisis is real and should be addressed as real. American competetiveness is not completely measured on a balance sheet. There are moral parameters that comprise the market place. That morality is rewarded by a majority of Americans. So, the equation for competitiveness is balanced in many ways, including perhaps a tax credit for "Green Technology" applied to a companies energy demands.
It is best to address American Business in a manner that matters and not empty giveaways that serve no one but stockholders. Those giveaways hurt the moral structure of business and consumers often see it that way.
US Senator Bernie Sanders ran on a platform that Wall Street was abusing the American worker and the priorities of Young Americans. He had an incredible election primary that made a permanent impression on the politics of our day. If Senator Sanders' followers see movement to satisfying their objects to American Business it would be a real sign the government is not the plaque it has been for the past fifty years.
