Meghan McCain Slams Arizona Immigration Law

...In a column published at The Daily Beast, Meghan McCain, who often tries to position herself a spokesperson of sorts for young Republicans, called the new law "seriously flawed" and "essentially a license to pull someone over for being Hispanic." 

The new law compels police officers to question a person about his or her immigration status if there is "reasonable suspicion" that person may be in the country illegally. It would also make it a crime under state law to be there illegally. Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer signed it into law on Friday, but some Arizona lawmakers are vowing to fight the measure. 

"I believe it gives the state police a license to discriminate, and also, in many ways, violates the civil rights of Arizona residents," Meghan McCain wrote in her column, entitled "Hate the Law, Not Arizonans." "Simply put, I think it is a bad law that is missing the bigger picture of what is really going on with illegal immigration."...

Beck states Americans won't accept work, so his twisted simpleton logic is that the illegal immigrants that will work for 'pica' are the good people and should not be deported.

If Megan could bring sanity to the circumstances of Hispanic citizens, I applaud her.

All I have heard from the media are excuses to why Goldman Sachs BUNDLED and bungled the American Dream and sold it exploitively.

No one understands why this is fraud by Goldman Sachs?  I mean really, don't understand it at all?  

Well, allow me.

The entire premise to the Sub-Prime Lending was fraudulent to begin with, they knew they were making bad loans.  Just because a President of the USA and a corrupt Republican Legislature passes billions of dollars in a bill to move citizens (assuming they all were) out of rental units into housing doesn't mean it is good business practice.

The legislature that was passed should have been viewed by Wall Street for what it was, illegitimate use of the credit market.  It wasn't.  The pigs ran to the trough.

I mean Wall Street is supposed to be conducted by moral, educated and highly skilled people.  Yes?  They didn't know what they were looking at?  Credit ratings all of a sudden were completely irrelevant?  Really?  Hm.  So, somehow, because the corruption of the Republicans became an opportunity to scour the government of money it was all okay and became a 'prime directive' of Goldman Sachs.

Then at first blush they decided instead of realizing their greed as the problem it became a 'prime directive' to DUMP the entire lot of mortgages.  Mortgages  to HOMES that were the backbone of the USA economy and its credit market.

I see.

That is only the beginning.

Yesterday, Robert Zoellick the head moron in all his wisdom (click here for the his anticipated goal of a one world government - Oh, I forgot, "The Family of Countries.) stated that to inhibit the 'genius (my word not his) of firms such as Goldman Sachs would mean destroying job growth.  That is nothing but a 'politically jazzed' statement.  It is mind speak and has nothing to do with the real world.

The USA economy existed before Goldman Sachs and it will exist afterwards.  There is NO corporation that important to the USA economy that it cannot be allowed to fail of its own immorality and greed.

Goldman Sachs went where no company should have gone, it did it with a plan in mind and it was completely exploitive of the dreams and hopes of every American.  It took on the mortgage market and turned it into 'gamblers choice.'  THAT is suppose to be allowed to continue?  That isn't fraud.

You wake up one morning and find out you don't know who own your mortgage and that foreclosure is eminent because there is no finding out whom one is dealing with to settle any balance that might exist.  The mortgage business, under Goldman Sachs, because a land grab and it is still going on.

Goldman Sachs premeditatedly destroyed the USA economy, which everyone seems to have forgotten for the moment, by pushing the company over the edge, bundling the American Dream for exploitation, and falling back on AIG to 'save the day' for insurance that should never have existed in the first place, ENHANCED, by 'financial instruments' that are fraudulent in the first place and destined to fail.  They knew that.  


They were playing with fire and they continue to do so and the American citizen is suppose to stand in awe of the genius that have YET to understand.  


Well, it doesn't take genius to bankrupt a company, but, to bankrupt a country?  That needed a Bush to do it.

So, if I am understanding all this correctly, the 'genius' of Goldman Sachs bundled an entire mortgage market and sold it as a commodity.

Hm.

They not only 'wager' with the USA economy with abandon they marketed financial instruments along the way that no one understood and/or could control.  There was absolutely no fail safe built in for an entire country's economy except for the USA government to hand out freshly printed Federal Reserve dollars to stop the bleeding.

Well. That is amazing and it isn't fraudulent.  Okay then.

The stock exchange was for people with money that wanted to invest.  Those folks are suppose to look at a prospectus and at least have an 'idea' of what they were getting into.  Any stock exchange is NOT suppose to compete with a gambling casino.  Stock markets are suppose to be treated with some degree of reverence, but, evidently at Goldman Sachs that isn't important.  Making money, greed, at any cost is what counts.There are ethics involved with Wall Street anymore.  


By the way, Robert Zoellick, was once a managing director of Goldman Sachs.  That is another problem with Goldman, they have a 'corporate culture' that has tentacles every place.  They 'train up' their executives to work NOT WITHIN THE COMPANY, but, to work in government and global institutions to bring about 'standardization' of their profit model.

I nearly forgot to mention, the insightful Zoellick stated, "...there is unknown ability of these firms to create jobs."  


"W"rong.  

THAT is the problem with these idiots they openly state they don't know the potential of their financial instruments 'as if' that is suppose to be a legitimate reason for selling them and it will somehow, miraculously create jobs.  Zoellick openly stated he had NO CLUE to the potential for job creation by these huge investment banks.  Really?  Does anyone besides me think that KNOWING something about this is important?

Does anyone besides me believe that 'speculation' belongs at a Black Jack table when there are NO facts and figures to make well placed INVESTMENTS?

Well, anyone can state, "We just don't know the potential of these instruments so let's all try it out and see how it works."

That is CLUB.  Does anyone understand that?  That is a CLUB of people that simply want the world as their oyster with complete abandon to the responsibility INVESTMENT means in the lives of citizens and the sovereignty of countries.

It goes beyond ego.  It is a 'model' to propagandize the 'uncertain' in order to 'play the game.'

They are irresponsible and idiotic people that don't care about the outcome to financial instruments, so long as they can be 'bailed out' by sovereign treasuries because they are ? too big to fail ?.  

I don't think so.

At the height of this entire mess Morgan would have survived while everyone else tanked.  That tells me something and it should tell everyone else something to, about the talent of the CEO of that banking system.  If they would have survived, then that is the way it is.  

The game was real simple for Goldman Sachs.  All they had to do is stay ahead of the collapse and pass it on in the market place.  They knew at the beginning it was fraudulent use of the credit systems of the GLOBE and they simply played it to the end.  When it was becoming scary, Paulson replaced Snow to insure that Goldman would be protected from collapse.

THAT is premeditated, it is exploitive, it is unethical, it endangered the sovereignty of countries as they knew full well what they were doing and had a 'business strategy' to carry it out.  At the other end of their plans were business entities that were not as criminally motivated and took on the challenge of making money with obscure commodities because at that point Goldman Sachs was not only conducting investment banking they were directing investment MARKETS with advise and their own market pressures.

No, no.  That is not the way the game is played.  Unfair advantage is just that and COMPLETE disclosure by Goldman Sachs was never forthcoming, because, if it were the 'collapse' would have been stated in any prospectus along with the 'risk' that accompanied it.  In other words, COMPLETE DISCLOSURE would have prevented Goldman Sachs from destroying other companies.  

THAT is fraud.  

Riding the wave of a soon to be realized collapse is NOT a legitimate business model.


It is like handing off a bomb to some else just before the detonator goes off.

Goldman Sachs was manipulating the financial markets the entire time and had CONTROL.  They are the entity most responsible for the faux ? securities ? that never had a chance to be a real opportunity for investment.

The service for the lost Miners was a beautiful service with spiritual support for the community. Sincerely appreciated the youth choir.

Every participant had a unique message, but, the State Police Officer was truly an inspiration to realize how dedicated he was during the tragedy and remained with the community afterward.

I sincerely appreciated the welcome the President received from the community, I am sure his resolve carries the brevity of the burden of the loss of these men.

The convection system that brought the tornadoes to Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama and Arkansas and death to at least two people has inverted. It aint' over until it is over.

A tornado watch is in effect for most of Central Florida through 8 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

The alert is for more than a dozen Florida counties, including Orange, Seminole, Volusia and Lake. A tornado watch is issued when weather conditions are favorable for the development of tornadoes in and close to the watch area.

The weather service also warned of strong storms possible in the area this afternoon and into the evening. An approaching line of showers and storms is expected to impact Lake and Volusia counties starting between 5 and 8 p.m. It is expected to hit the Kissimmee and Orlando areas between 9 p.m. and midnight.

The weather service said an isolated tornado could occur, but the main threat will be from lightning and wind gusts. Large hail also will be possible.

Duncan is the white guy.  Coming out of Chicago I would think he would know something about inner city education and its best approach.  Just a guess.

Recently I heard Arne Duncan speak.  His point of view regarding testing is rather interesting.  He said and I quote.

"Testing is not something that is done to the teacher, it is done with a teacher."  In other words, teachers need to have a voice in the EXAM that will ultimately judge their job performance.

He also stated, decisions regarding classroom content has to be made with input from teachers, not just idealistic administrators.

By the way there is a MODEL that works quite well in determining THE STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES of any given teacher.  It was employed by "Head Start."

There has been a complaint by "Learning is Fundamental" in that they can't 'get in on' the funding under Secretary Duncan.  Hm.  The solution to me seems fairly obvious, they need to adapt their corporate model.

Perhaps "Reading is Fundamental" and its proven success should decentralize to help 'fit' the model Secretary Duncan is advocating.

See, I really believe the complaining that goes on is about unwillingness to change.  Sincerely.  Complaining is 'the tail wagging the dog.'   Corporate Cry Babies.

Do I believe there is an issue with VIOLENCE and HATRED in the Politically Cultured Red States?

You bet I do.  I believe the Red States under Republican political preference has disrespect for government and sees authority as predatory.

Is religion a part of it?  Doesn't have to be.  In the case of the African American Communities, religion is a structure by which solace and community are organized.

In the case of the Impoverished Caucasian Culture, religion is intricately woven into the political mainstream.  It is a 'political tool' to justify the hate they exude while attending to a God that is merciful and understands their superiority.

Do I think there is a link to the death of police officers in Red States and the disrespect they have for authority, you betcha.

Do I believe this should be noted by Homeland Security?  I think it already has.

What is the issue with the Great Lakes?  Commerce and shipping.  I believe, and I could be wrong, many of the police deaths are linked to dangerous 'dock' conditions and 'remote' areas of each of the states involved.  There are also large commerce centers along the way as well.

Arizona and the southern border with Mexico doesn't really contribute to the lousy culture that exists there any more than any of the other bordering states.

The political culture of the Republicans has destroyed the 'heart' of the people of their states as they don't even entertain the 'thought' of peace, yet alone say it.  They have demonized Democratic political preference.  The Republicans are imbalanced in their value systems and it shows in the issues of the citizens of their districts.

The reason Conservatives are so intensely politically minded is because they feed on corruption and they are desperate for a chance to sway power in their direction.  As a result the Democrats have found it necessary to focus on politics as a 'form of defense' to their country to support any chance to live within their values or be plundered into non-existence and impoverishment.  There are entries on this blog to support all these statements.

Do I think Republicans can be rehabilitated into a 'new face' for the political venues of the USA?  

Nope.

There is bigotry, hate and violence driving the political culture these days, rather than differences and debate.  The USA has issues.  Those issues exist because of the draconian media culture that supports the bigotry, hate and violence.

Where it gets really disturbing is when the numbers are recorded by 'region of the country.'

The highest regions for Police Deaths in the USA are primarily RED STATES.

The highest is the South with 263.  That designation is divided into three regions South Atlantic with 125, East South Central with 51 and West South Central 87 Police Officers..

...A preliminary autopsy showed Richard Barrett, 67, was stabbed multiple times in the neck and bashed in the head, Rankin County Sheriff Ronnie Pennington said. He had burns over 35 percent of his body, though investigators believe he was killed Wednesday night and his house set on fire Thursday to cover up his death.

Pennington did not disclose a motive but said neighbor Vincent McGee, 22, was charged with murder Thursday and deputies charged three other people in the case Friday. Albert Lewis, McGee's stepfather, was charged with being an accessory after the fact, while Vicky and Michael Dent, who live nearby, are charged with being accessories after the fact and arson.

Pennington did not describe their involvement but said all three were being held at the county jail. He did not know if they had attorneys.

Barrett traveled the country to promote anti-black and anti-immigrant views and founded a supremacist group called the Nationalist Movement. He had a knack for publicity but little real influence, one expert said.

"Richard Barrett was a guy who ran around the country essentially pulling off publicity stunts," said Mark Potok, who monitors hate groups for the Alabama-based Southern Poverty Law Center. "He really never amounted to any kind of leader in the white supremacist movement."...

Woman Arrested in Wylie's Angel Murder

WYLIE, Texas - A north Texas woman has been arrested and charged with murder in the death of a 6-year-old boy whose body was found in Wylie near Lake Lavon last week. Investigators say Darlene Phillips, 63, is the maternal grandmother of the victim, Gerren Joseph Isgrigg.

The boy was known only as "Wylie's Angel" until Friday when investigators announced a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children had helped them identify the child.

Phillips is being charged with Murder and is currently being held in the Collin County Detention Facility. Her bond has been set at $500,000.00.

Police say Phillips was Isgrigg's primary caregiver. They say the boy's parents live in other states and are separated.

The Collin County Medical Examiner says there were no injuries on the body and they have not yet determined a cause of death. Investigators say Isgrigg was very small for his age and there is evidence he needed a feeding tube to survive.

Hate Crime Statistics

2008 - Total Incidents are 7,783 with a total of 9,168 offenses, 9,691 victims and 6,927 offenders.

The majority of the crimes involving minorities were Anti-Black with a total of 3.596 victims.  It was followed by Anti-Jewish with 1,145 victims, Anti-Male Homosexual follows with 981 victims and Anti-Hispanic is next with 792 victims. 

That compared to Anti-White 829 victims and Anti-Protestant at 62 victims.  Anti-Catholic was 89 and Anti-Atheist/Agnostic 14 victims.

2007 - Total Incidents 7,624 with a total 9.006 offenses, 9,535 victims and 6,965 offenders.  The specific demographics are about the same.

That remains true for 2006 approximately.

2005 are slightly different with a total incidence of 7,163 with total offenses of 8,380, number of victims 8.804 and a total number of offenders of 6,804.

The demographics are Anti-Black 3,322 victims, Anti-Jewish 977 victims, Anti-Male Homosexual 743 victims and Anti-Hispanic 722.

To compare, Anti-White 975 victims, Anti-Protestant 58 and Anti-Catholic 61 victims.

2004, is somewhat higher 7,649 criminal incidents with 9,035 offenses, 9,528 victims, and 7,145 known offenders.

The statistics remain in that trend with the beginnings of the records in 1995 when the initial demographics were higher.  There were a total of 7,947 incidents, with 9,895 offenses, for a total of 10,469 victims and known offenders totaling 8,433.

Anti-Black was 3,945 victims, Anti-Jewish 1,236, Anti-Male Homosexual 937 and Anti-Hispanic 346.  

Compared to Anti-White numbering 1,554, Anti-Protestant 65 and Anti-Catholic 53.

What is remarkable is that the number of incidents is basically the same every year.  It will be interesting to realize the difference, if any, for 2009, both the first six months and the second six months.

...Specifically, the 25-year-old Picture Rocks native had been stabbed more than 16 times, sliced about the face and head, and hit with a blunt object on his upper arms, chest and abdomen, according to autopsy and sheriff records. One stab wound to his skull was so violent it dented the bone.

Ham’s body was lying near the double-wide trailer on the property in the 6500 block of North Hot Desert Trail, where the woman lived with two roommates. One of those roommates was Scott Williams, who was passed-out a mere 3 feet from Ham’s body.

When roused, reports say 57-year-old Williams admitted to killing Ham.

The verdict? There was none. Ham’s brutal Sept. 21 killing never made it to trial. It instead made it into the category of self-defense.

“I was protecting my family,” Williams is quoted as saying in early sheriff reports. “That guy was crazy. He had a knife and I had a knife and I stabbed him.”

Arizona law justifies a self-defense killing if a person is warding off a physical attack, but it does not justify a killing “in response to verbal provocation alone.” Reports say Williams had a sore rib after the killing but told deputies, “I’ve had this before.”

The two women at the trailer said they didn’t see a thing. One claimed she didn’t even notice Ham’s dead body in the yard.

It boiled down to Williams’ word against Ham’s word – and Ham is dead....

...Both Williams and Ham had been drinking. Williams had been passed out at the scene. Reports say he was wobbling, had to be held up to remain standing, and reeked of alcohol.

Aaron’s autopsy report shows a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) between .29 and .33. Arizona’s legal limit is .08. It also shows marijuana in his system.

“If a person weighing 132-pounds and 5-feet 9-inches tall had alcohol four times over the limit, how could he even stand, much less fight?” Donna Ham inquired about her son. “Makes me wonder how he could be a threat enough to be knifed 18 times.”...

The Crime Statistics for 2009 aren't completely compiled.

During the first half of the year, after President Obama took office, there were drops in the Hate Crime Rate across the board with the exception of a few issues.

In cities of 10,000 citizens up to 24, 999 citizens there was an increase in  violent crime and aggravated assault.  On both counts the difference in the percent 'incidence' is very different than the rate in cities of one million or more citizens.

I believe that is significant.  There are more agencies in this population, but, there are even more agencies in the next category which does not display this trend.

I am also more interested in the statistics as they occur after June 2009, when the summer was met with an organized media campaign to foment hate among the electorate based in lies.
