Continued from the previous entry.

Republicans are making the same excuse regardless of the numerous witness testimony. At this point with Republican questioning stagnating it is obvious this is about producing campaign film footage. There is nothing different by the Republicans. They have no interest in what the witnesses have to say.

Irregular Channel = Guiliani and acting in the best POLITICAL interests of Donald J. Trump. Guiliani was not acting as a personal attorney, hence, at the very least campaign finance violations.

Rep. Krishnamoorthi is attempting to enter 'legal doubt' into impeachment proceedings. That is not required. I don't know who the audience for that is beside the public and their ability to reflect on that statement.

Nunes is nonsense. The Whistleblower will never appear in a public hearing, that is a direct violation of the law that protects whistleblowers.

The American people need to come to terms with the reality that Republicans do not take their positions seriously and are more an actor on a stage rather than a sincere legislator interested in the best interest of the country.

This is the "Nelly Ohr" reference about the role she played in Fusion GPS and quite possibly sending emails to people in the DOJ, including her husband. She did not have classified information. She was data mining to benefit opposition research for the Clinton Campaign. It was her job. So, taking the romantic aspect out of the transactions, this is a Fusion GPS staff person working for a former intelligence agent. If they run across facts they find significant they pass it on to the DOJ. I am curious as to whether any of this open-source information helped connect the dots with Manaford and his convictions. If so then she did vital work for the USA government without being compensated by the government. It was all voluntary. Fusion GPS did what it needed to when finding open-source information about illegal activities with Paul Manafort.

...They clearly show that Ohr (click here) sent reams of open-source intelligence to her husband, Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr, and on some occasions to at least three DOJ prosecutors: Lisa Holtyn, Ivana Nizich and Joseph Wheatley.

The contents tracked corruption developments in Russia and Ukraine, including intelligence affecting Russian figures she told Congress she had tried to connect to Trump or Manafort.

“Hi Honey, if you ever get a moment you might find the penultimate article interesting — especially the summary in the final paragraph,” Nellie Ohr emailed her husband on July 6, 2016, in one typical communication. The article and paragraph she flagged suggested that Trump was a Putin stooge: “If Putin wanted to concoct the ideal candidate to service his purposes, his laboratory creation would look like Donald Trump.” Nellie Ohr bolded that key sentence for apparent emphasis....

There is no doubt this is questionable to the fact Nelly Ohr was married to a prosecutor in the federal system, yet why deny her capacity because she is a wife? In the USA, husband and wives have been CIA agents and Ambassadors at the same time and I am sure there were conversations Putin would love to be a fly on the wall.

She did nothing wrong and my guess is 336 emails provided information to an investigation otherwise they would not have been tolerated.

Right up to the end of the hearing today the Republicans are jockeying for political ads. It is ridiculous. The evidence to the wrong doing by Trump is overwhelming, the witnesses incredibly important as was their testimony and STILL the only thing Republicans care about is "B Roll." The USA needs to do something about congressional members that do little else except create their own platform for re-election. It is obvious. This is not to be tolerated.

Where is Republican's Viktor Shokin? Republicans like to use inflammatory statements as if they are true, but, when it comes to bringing witnesses that can validate their claims, the sources are corrupt or worse.

..Where did that “stopped the prosecution” allegation (click here) against Joe Biden come from? According to Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani, it came from Viktor Shokin, who claimed in an affidavit that he was forced out by Joe Biden “because I was leading a wide-ranging corruption probe into Burisma.”

So, why aren’t House Republicans demanding that Shokin testify either at the hearings or by deposition in Ukraine?

The reason almost certainly is that Shokin could be exposed as corrupt and his claim could be revealed to be a sham. There are no facts to corroborate Shokin; indeed, it isn’t even clear that Shokin ever actively investigated Burisma....

I have most of this information on the blog already by reading the Whisteblower complaint and/or the Special Counsel report.
