Tallahassee may not receive the "eye" of Gordon, but, it will receive the worst northeast corner. They are in for wind driven flooding.

I think Americans, especially those frequently finding themselves in hurricane cones of probability, become immune to the new climate storms. The winds may be a Cat 1, however, it's rain content is a Cat 5.

Residents of the Gulf Coast need to realize while they will be basically safe during a Cat 1 hurricane, the rains that come with these Climate Crisis storms is far higher than one would be accustomed to with a lower category storm. These storms carry enormous amounts of water and flooding is guaranteed in places not normally in a flood plain. The people have to be aware of their elevation above sea level and whether it is possible to have flooding waters reach them.

Tallahassee -- Tropical storm Gordon (click here) remains a tropical storm Monday night. As of the 11PM advisory from the National Hurricane Center, the storm is moving west-northwest at 17 mph. This faster movement is changing the estimated landfall time to be around Tuesday evening somewhere along the Mississippi or Alabama coasts....
