The Republicans are willing to cause harm to American women for their political volleys.

If these bills pass and Planned Parenthood is singled out for fiscal assault, it has to file a lawsuit stating discrimination.This is the first time Congress has singled out an organization for political purposes.

This is an organization that always follows the law and has provided quality health care to women for decades. This is a direct assault on women and it has to be challenged. No political party can simply destroy a major part of the infrastructure (over $360 million in assets in 2014) to send monies to other organizations that please them, because Planned Parenthood supposedly falls short of their ideology. 

The Republican Party is picking winners and losers and here again is practicing politics from the floor of the House and Senate.
 

 

WASHINGTON — Senate Republicans (click here) said on Thursday that they would take up legislation outlawing all abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy, and the House voted to move forward with a bill that would end government financing for Planned Parenthood, intensifying a fight over abortion that threatened to paralyze budget talks and force a government shutdown at the end of the month.
