Asking pretty please does not work.

There are three known deaths affiliated with Blue Bell ice cream. Infractions in standards are caught, recorded and demands made, but, the actions have to include fines immediately unless the problems are corrected immediately.

The Tulsa World (click here) submitted an open records request to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry, for all documents related to inspections of the Broken Arrow facility dating back to 2010.
Among items noted at the Broken Arrow plant were recurring correspondence to the facility’s management that unnecessary equipment was being stored in the plant’s mix processing area.
The issue was among the items noted in a March 18, 2014, letter from the Oklahoma department’s environmental programs specialist to the Blue Bell plant’s quality control manager.
The issue was referred to as a “recurring problem” that the department requested Blue Bell’s cooperation in correcting.
The documents also included a March 27, 2012, inspection report that noted an individual at a half-gallon filler with bare arms covered in chocolate.
Stromberg said that when correspondence is sent to companies outlining the department’s observations that need to be corrected, the facility is expected to correct the issues and the department will follow up on the results....
