The country hasn't been able to make substantial changes based in solid economic policy. Not sine the 2010 elections has the USA been able to move forward. Everything is stalemated. When the USA is in limbo because the politics have it locked down, the entire world feels it.
Donald Trump is a very outspoken man. He always has been. He has been in the public eye for a very long time and he has yet to been shunned by those that find his authority refreshing.
He is very much authoritarian. It has worked for him.
All I will say about this is that it might help companies involved with Trump, Inc. (if there is such a company) if they don't over react. I realize the Undocumented in the USA are concerned, no more like fear, adverse opinions about their circumstances. They have every right to be worried. There are young Hispanic that have lived in the USA all their lives and their families have been shattered. Their parents are sometimes returned to their countries of origin to very dangerous circumstances.

The Miss USA beauty pageant (click here) began unraveling Thursday as its Spanish-language broadcaster, two co-hosts and a performer walked away from the July 12 event in protest of Donald Trump’s comments about Mexico.
Univision, which in January paid $15 million to win Spanish-language rights to pageant, was the first to quit — saying it would cut ties to both the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageant, both owned by Trump.
Soon after, Univision co-hosts Roselyn Sánchez and Cristian de là Fuente also bailed — as did Colombian reggaeton singer J Balvin, who was scheduled to perform.
All quit because of comments about Mexican immigrants made by Trump last week.
“They’re bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime, they’re rapists,” Trump said while announcing his candidacy for the White House.
Univision called the remarks “insulting.”...
These young people and their families are as much American as any other naturally born American. They have respect for the country and take pride in their lives. There should be no doubt the 5 million human beings the President wants to allow to be within these borders should be here. There is no doubt about that as far as I am concerned.
But, as to Donald Trump. He is not saying anything other than what the Republicans have been saying since President Obama asked to have the Undocumented welcomed to the USA with a path to citizenship. The Republicans have politicized every subject under the sun since President Obama was elected. Before his inauguration there were Koch brothers plotting to take a place in history with the creation of the Tea Party. The country's politics has not been the same since the Kochs entered the picture and the Tea Party was born.
Donald Trump doesn't have the information President Obama has. If he becomes a nomination for President his information stream changes. But, until he has better information his position is based on what he knows.
The issue with Univision is a real paradox. On one hand he has a contract for broadcasting in Spanish. The Hispanic culture loves beautiful women. The culture embraces the beauty of a woman's smile, love and the role they play in their husband and families life. It is only natural for Univision to carry the Miss Universe Pageant. As for me I am not hot or cold about beauty pageants. I just don't want abuse of women and I want girls to have the potential they long for in their lives.
On the other hand is Donald Trump's matter of fact political dialogue which also includes insulting words presents a problem. In this case, the words were taken out of context. His words are no different than any other Republican in the party. I think it is a mistake to separate from any working relationships. I think Univision needs to think this through and register their own power in promoting the issues of the Hispanic and Undocumented people. Univision can promote a strong position for the Undocumented in the 2016 elections and they should do so.
The Miss Universe Pageant could very well be won by Miss Mexico. Won't that be interesting.
Companies have to put the political ambitions by Donald Trump into perspective to prevent harm for themselves. I think Univision is correct to register a public protest, but, follow it up with advocacy and not an issue of power playing. The Undocumented don't need any more power players.
I am kind of sorry this occurred. I also think Donald Trump needs to realize he is involved with a large variety of people and companies as he takes up the issues of the day. He should accept their public protest in the spirit of politics realizing they worry about the power that impacts them and their customers as well.
I wish everyone luck in protecting their interests while setting the record straight while Donald Trump may see it differently. There can be no half-truths. It would be refreshing to hear the truth and what is justice leading into the 2016 elections. There has to be legislation for the Undocumented and soon.
As far as border security, I have always said the best border security is having neighbors and friends that are secure, too. I was thrilled for the USA to have the capacity to simply absorb the ability to accept children in danger. It made me proud of my country. What I didn't appreciate was the fact these wonder children weren't safe in their own beds in their own countries. We have a lot of work to do, please don't self-destruct while doing it.
