Alaska always goes red. I thought I'd see if there was any voter oppression in Alaska.

No problem being registered for the first time or any time after that, just mail, fax or email the application...

Initially Registering from Outside the State of Alaska

If you are not already registered to vote in Alaska and you are initially registering to vote from outside the state of Alaska, either by mail, fax or email, you must provide proof of Alaska residency by submitting a copy of one of the following documents with your voter registration application:...

When I was reading the main page of the Alaska cite, (click here) I realized in the practice of law faxing is a legitimate method of sending documents. Mail of course is standard. And the more I thought about email I remembered people are granted divorces because of emails and the reliability of electronic signatures. Oh, wait a minute, there was a problem with electronic signatures when it came to mortgages, huh?

Hm. I suppose Alaska justifies its loose regulations because of the square miles in Alaska. Makes sense. But, if this is good for Alaska and they are always Red in elections, what the heck is wrong with Pennsylvania and Ohio?
