What State made the Primary Election System the standard for the country?

If you said Wisconsin, you would be right.

Wisconsin has a proud heritage of making US Election History. In the 1920's a man later to become Governor of Wisconsin mandated a Primary Run Off for the Elections to follow. That man was Robert M. La Follette (click here).

It was progressive thinking by Robert La Follette that would lead to Wisconsin being a mover and shaker in the USA. It was Wisconsin's Courts that declared slavery unconstitutional as freed slaves took up haven there.

To think, at this juncture, ANY of the people of Wisconsin would defraud an election is outrageous. It is an insult by Scott Walker and Reince Preibus to even suggest in the remotest way the people of Wisconsin would conceive of voter fraud. They should apologize to the people of that state. The only reason the GOP is bringing voter fraud in Wisconsin at this point is because they are grasping at straws to make Tom Barrett appear to be a shady character with the backing of shady union leadership.

Wisconsinites need to 'talk-up' their proud history as the State that invented the Primary Election and the State that turned slavery laws into unconstitutional oppression. They have the bragging rights, they should let it be known there is no GOP anybody that is going to talk them down, cast doubt or suspicion.
