The new Secretary of the Treasury did quite well yesterday in testimony.

I have not been a fan of Secretary Geithner. I am still not a supporter as I do not believe any more 'bank bailout' is necessary, however, I witnessed a man yesterday dedicated to his President and the agenda he was elected to uphold.

He was welcomed yesterday, not in voices of praise, but by those on the Committee that asked on several occassions whether he would be available for consultation at a future time. With every request for his time, Secretary Geithner answered without hesitation, "Yes." Simply, "Yes." No reservations and willing to 'be the person' every member of the committee could turn to for answers to tough questions.

I believe he is on the way of 'proving' himself a worthy person to our Treasury Secretary. If he works this hard at upholding his point of view with optimism I believe the country DESERVES, as Americans are the best work force in the world, he will be an indescribable 'force' and 'friend' to the people of this country. It could be this Goldman-Sachs homeboy might actually have had the desire to 'come home' to us rather than 'go to China.'

I look forward to 'good news' in the future as he builds concensus in Congress. I wish him well and much success in his 'council' to those that will support his budget and the sovereign fiscal well being of our country

Geithner said the tax increases -- aimed primarily at business and a few million families who earn more than $250,000 a year -- are essential to reducing record budget deficits bloated by financial-sector bailouts and federal spending to prop up the economy....
