July 10, 2005.

I didn't do badly.

Almost exactly 48 hours ago, I roughly 'eyeballed' the system and based up a 'thinning' vortex system I considered the path to be the west coast of Florida. I stated: "... my worst case scenario that "Dennis" will cause a great deal of damage as it skirts the land areas with velocity at Cat Five. That land area would include the entire west coast of Florida. GET OUT OF THE WAY. These eddies are too volitile to play games with..."

My estimations without computer model was landfall at Apalachicola River basin. The theory there being the storms are water loving but to maximize "Dennis"s time at sea places landfall Fort Walton Beach at about 86.5 degrees.

I did alright.

We persist.
