Parking Star War missiles at Russian Borders is in direct conflict with Nuclear Non-Proliferation.

Non-Proliferation is an EQUITY issue. Each side of the non-proliferation has to stand down from this hideous military stance.

Parking missiles at Russian borders directly effects the ability to promote non-proliferation.

The USA missiles at Russian borders are to intercept their missiles.

The USA missiles at Russian borders actually escalates tensions by destroying 'The Balance of Power.'

There is every reason to believe the USA military in cooperation with Poland is seeking to escalate the tensions with Russia to the point of war. Absolutely. Poland killed well over one thousand people unable to protect themselves. That is NOT a reason to escalate tensions with Russia.

The United States (click here) intends to field Patriot air- and missile-defense systems in northern Poland about 35 miles from the border with Russia, Agence France-Presse reported yesterday (see GSN, Dec. 11, 2009).
The town of "Morag was chosen as the location long ago, but we didn't make it public," the Polish PAP news agency quoted Polish Defense Minister Bogdan Klich as saying.
Klich said the decision to deploy the Patriot missiles so close to Russia's Kaliningrad region had "no political or strategic meaning -- its good infrastructure is the only reason."...

It is very safe to say the current 'Old World' relationship the USA has with Poland is hideous and dangerous. How can the USA back a Poland that kills people?

The USA missiles in Poland aren't necessary. The USA missiles at Russian borders anywhere is inappropriate and very dangerous. There are PEACEKEEPES along those borders. What seems to be the problem?

Russia ready to join UN peacekeeping mission on Israel-Syria border (click here)

Russia proposed to replace Austrian UN peacekeepers who withdrew from the Golan Heights on the Israel-Syria border. However, the mandate of the UN mission does not allow Russia to do so, the organization’s spokesman said.
Russia was ready to send around 300 peacekeepers to the Golan Heights, said Russia’s ambassador to the United Nations Vitaly Churkin.
“We are talking about the replacement of the same number from the Austrian contingent, in other words about 300 peacekeepers or roughly a battalion,” Churkin said.
While a number of UN Security Council member states welcomed Russia’s initiative, Churkin added that the parties concerned must give their agreement for Russia to send peacekeepers.
However, the mandate of the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF), which has been in the Golan under the 1974 Israeli-Syrian agreement, does not allow Russia to deploy its troops in the area, said UN spokesman Martin Nesirky....

Israel doesn't trust Russia and sees them as a force willing to back Assad so Israel will do it themselves and risk a great war.

I tell you what. Since Israel is a very important ally, why doesn't the USA and Russia provide peacekeepers to work together along the Syrian-Israel Border and act to end any escalation. Sounds like a plan to me.

Power: Obama would not rule out U.S. peacekeepers (click here)

A top national security aide to President Barack Obama, Samantha Power, said this week that Obama would not rule out the possibility of using U.S. troops as peacekeepers. However, she also said that U.S. money or logistical support would often be more effective....

...the United States is willing to consider. It’s not something that he would rule out. But one always wants to do the cost benefit analysis there. I mean, there are certain places where U.S. forces are not, in fact, likely to be the greatest asset to a peacekeeping force, not because they wouldn’t be terrific peacekeepers, but because there is a political dimension to a U.S. deployment that has to be taken into account. And so one always wants to ask how do we balance our strategic priorities, the fact that we have so many troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, and how would we assess the relative impact that U.S. forces would make to a peacekeeping mission.

Sometimes economic benefits are cheaper AND better (US AID) than deploying US Peacekeepers, however, the problems with Syria are outside the realm of economic development. There is no sovereign access to seek economic development to raise the citizens out of poverty. At this point the international community is lucky to get survival humanitarian aid to the Syrian people.

The Gay Rights baloney in Russia is due to Evangelical penetration into the political structure at the Duma.

Gay people in Russia (click here) are under pressure over their sexual orientation, 20 years after the country decriminalised homosexuality.
A bill banning gay "propaganda" among juveniles has raised fears that the community is being scapegoated by populist politicians.

Hate crimes against gay people in Russia have made headlines abroad, even if the true scale of the problem is hard to quantify.
Here BBC News looks at some of the issues....

Everyone is going to the Olympics.

END OF DISCUSSION.

Jimmy Carter was wrong. The Russians came to the USA Olympics when the USA invaded Afghanistan.  By every estimation Jimmy Carter should have left Russia alone in Afghanistan because they'll be returning to near border issues once the USA is out of that country.

There is too much "Us and Them" in the relationship between the USA and Russia. It is artificial and feeds military escalation. The 'myth' of hatred between the USA and Russia is serving no one.

If Gay Activists are arrested in Russia, they would have done it anyway if the USA was participating or not. They have to endure the Russian legal system. They need to be prepared to be arrested and tried in Russia, the USA won't be bailing them out while pursuing non-proliferation and peaceful initiative. Non-proliferation is not a barter and trade scenario, it is a sovereign resolve.

The Russia people need to discern their own politics. The international community has a responsibility in reducing human rights abuses. The overlap is clear no matter how others want to screw it up for their own purposes.

Non-proliferation and Gay Rights do not intersect.

The benefit to a global community disarming from nuclear weapons is not in proportion to Gay Rights issues.

I just love the willingness for Gay Activists to take the entire world hostage. The egos are sincerely impressive.

Why does any Gay Activist even begin to believe taking the world hostage to any Russia Olympic event will resolve the political challenges within the country? Why would any reasonable person believe that? If the USA or other nations boycotted the Olympics over Gay Rights why does the community believe it would relieve the political issue in Russia? There is every reason to believe otherwise. I suppose the so called Free World would then drop nuclear weapons on Russia to handle the Gay Issue.

Why doesn't the Gay Community come up with answers rather than escalation? Where is the Russian Gay Community political clout? The community in the USA has clout, where is it in Russia? Nowhere? Why? There are huge capitalists in Russia that want to be President. What is wrong with you people?

There is speculation that the Russian Diaspora makes the world a safer place, but, that's ridiculous.

Russian Diasporas in the "Near Abroad": Implications for International Peace (click here)

This article is from 2001. It is inflammatory. 'A made for Bush, the War President' propaganda estimate.

There is no indication Russia will seek global domination by destroying other nations when their diaspora is finally home. Russia is active in all kinds of trade agreements, non-proliferation and peace accords. That entire idea is bizarre.

Adopting Russian Children has very little to do with Gay Rights. Russia has been repatriating their diaspora. I think a real push to do so was begun under Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. Why adopt Russian children to all corners of the world only to ask them to come back.

The ending of Russian adoption has basically nothing to do with Gay Rights in other nations. It is silly to state that.

Russia is very much about reclaiming itself these days.

Russian President Vladimir Putin (click here) threw his support behind efforts by allied lawmakers to repatriate as much as $1 trillion in capital held by companies and high ranking officials abroad.
Russia should proceed with anti-corruption legislation that would put limits on bureaucrats and politicians owning foreign bank deposits and securities, Putin said today in Moscow in his first state-of-the-nation address since returning to the presidency in May. The curbs should include all top policy makers including the president, prime minister and their families, he said.
Clawing back assets amassed by Russians in low-tax foreign jurisdictions is central to Putin’s plan to reignite and diversify the sagging economy through investment. The government this week cut its growth forecast for next year to 3.6 percent, less than the “minimum” 5 percent to 6 percent Russia needs over the next decade, Putin said...

It happens once a year.

The 2010 Perseids over the ESO's VLT.

No matter where you live worldwide, the 2013 Perseid meteor shower will probably be at its best on the nights of August 11-12 and/or August 12-13.

Put out the lawn chair, (click here) set the alarm and maybe bring something to wet your whistle while you gaze into the nighttime sky — the year's best shooting star show has started.

August's annual Perseids meteor shower peaks Sunday and Monday, promising perhaps 70 meteors an hour those evenings.

"The Perseids are the good ones," says meteorite expert Bill Cooke of NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala.

The Perseids take their name from their apparent origin in the constellation Perseus, the hero of ancient Greek myth born from a shower of heavenly gold. Known for producing fireballs that might streak across a third of the sky, they owe their brilliance to the speed — nearly 134,000 mph — with which they smack into the upper atmosphere. "It's also because of the size of the meteors," Cooke says. The dust grains are about one-fifth of an inch across and burn nicely as they zip overhead....

Rethinking plea bargaining and believing The Public Defender means more to our democracy than anyone can imagine.

Could it be that saving our cities also includes increasing the number of public defenders to fight the impoverishment of justice?

Returning balance to our democracy and emptying our prisons and jails to return function to our country/society means more than simply preaching and setting examples. It means bringing sincere justice ro the innocent.

"Gideon's Army" makes it very clear even many Civil Rights Leaders were facilitated by Public Defenders. There are victories by Public Defenders. Those victories return function to our society and end 'the angry young man' syndrome.

Imagine being in prison unjustly. It is unthinkable, but, it happens all the time. Those that plea bargain out of fear are also relinquishing the right to vote, attend higher education and move into upward mobility. A lot is on the line and our country suffers for their suffering. We lose assets, safer communities while defeating parallel economies such as the drug economy.

Innocent Americans don't belong in prison.

Who robbed the New York City Pension Funds?

Elliot, what gives? There is no money to pay pensioners in NYC? Bloomberg had three terms to get it straightened out if they were squandering pension funds. Bloomberg doesn't understand the importance of RESPONSIBLE investment of pension funds?

August 9, 2013

The two Democratic candidates (click here) for city comptroller squared off yesterday in one of the wildest political debates this town has seen in some time. Amid the exchange of insults, one thing became clear: Eliot Spitzer has no comprehension of what a comptroller actually does.
The one-time Client 9 said he would use the city’s $126 billion in pension funds as a massive economic stimulus, similar to the $831 billion spending program Congress passed back in 2009.
After all, said Spitzer, that one worked so well that it should have been twice the size. We’ll leave aside that argument. The real issue is whether a man asking us to elect him watchdog of public funds ought to be looking at those funds as a vehicle for his own economic and political agendas....

I was worried about the Post Office and the lousy stunt Bush's Republicans pulled in 2006, but, now Michael Bloomberg might have to pay back to NYC all those billions he has.

Wow.

Republicans have real problems with these things. They can't keep pension funds intact, they borrow monies from Social Security and they can't fund the government. It is not looking good.

New York State Pension Value Rises to Record High $160.4 Billion (click here)

The value of the New York state pension fund rose to a record $160.4 billion in year ending March 31, recovering after the financial crisis wiped out almost one-third of its assets, Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli said.
The New York State Common Retirement Fund, which provides benefits to almost 1 million state and local workers and their beneficiaries, had an estimated 10.4 percent rate of return in fiscal 2013, DiNapoli said in a statement. That’s about the same gain posted by the Standard & Poor’s 500 stock index over the same period. The fund was valued at $154.5 billion in 2007, before the start of the longest recession since the Great Depression.
“The New York State Common Retirement Fund has reached a milestone,” DiNapoli said in a statement. “It remains well positioned for growth as the financial markets continue to gain strength.”...

This is more than just a snippet.

Why not simply kill the competition and a life of abandon and fear to get everything one wants out of life? Why not? Happiness can be bought in the USA, right? Everyone with a gun is above the law these days, right?

WASHINGTON (AP) — Three men have been jailed (click here) on charges they killed a standout western Pennsylvania college running back while mugging him for his wallet and smartphone, after the phone's GPS records led police to two of the three suspects' homes.
Online court records don't list attorneys for the men charged with criminal homicide, robbery, conspiracy and other crimes in the Oct. 4 death of Timothy McNerney, 21, who starred at Knoch High School north of Pittsburgh before attending Washington & Jefferson College.

McNerney died of a head injury when he was either struck or fell and hit his head during the incident about 2:30 a.m., when he and a teammate were robbed while walking back to campus from a bar, authorities said....

Citizens EXECUTING other citizens in the USA. Oh, yeah. Anybody can have anything they want at the business end of a gun. Oh, yeah. We can destroy a planet and live on the Moon to mine the hell out of it.

It all feels like a bad dream.
But for the 27-year-old sister of slain semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd, the nightmare is far from over.
Speaking exclusively to ABC News, Olivia Thibou said that her brother's execution-style murder last week, allegedly at the hands of former New England Patriots star player Aaron Hernandez, feels surreal....

The USA is a great country and getting greater by the second.

And civilized, there has never been a more civilized nation as the USA.

Alex Rodriguez is unpopular and unsympathetic. But that doesn't mean his suspension from Major League Baseball will be fair.(click here)

Matt Schiavenza
There was a time, believe it or not, when Alex Rodriguez was popular. Really, genuinely, popular. Granted, it wasn't recently -- you'd have to go back to the Clinton Administration -- but as a young shortstop for the Seattle Mariners in the late 1990s, A-Rod was considered one of the game's true bright lights.

It wasn't just because of his on-the-field accomplishments, though these were remarkable: In 1996, at an age (20) when most players were in college or the low minor leagues, Alex Rodriguez was already the best in the American League. But A-Rod, too, was a saint: a humble, decent (Christian, natch) young man who called his mom five times a week, avoided alcohol, and worshipped his veteran teammates. "A guy this sweet," wrote Gerry Callahan in a fawning profile of Rodriguez for Sports Illustrated that year, "must be hiding some cavities."

If only Callahan knew what was coming. Seventeen years later, this very same Alex Rodriguez is the most hated player in baseball....
It must be Obama's fault. His overwhelming influence on the nation's sports franchises is reeking havoc with players and substance abuse. Obama must be the largest drug cartel in the country.

I guess that is why the NSA is now cooperating with the DEA.

And when it comes to women, I always say if you can't get it free, then take it! I am sure the military had that directive for a long time.

NASHVILLE -- Four former Vanderbilt football players (click here) have each been charged with five counts of aggravated rape and two counts of aggravated sexual battery, Nashville Metro police said Friday.
Brandon Vandenburg, 20, from California; Brandon Eric Banks, 19, from Maryland; and JaBorian "Tip" McKenzie, 18 from Mississippi and Cory Batey, 19, of Nashville, were charged in the indictment. Vandenburg was also charged with one count of tampering with evidence and one count of unlawful photography....

But, when it comes to appreciating the beauty of nature, carrying our RESPONSIBLE environmental policy, "TOO HELL WITH IT, Where is my woman!"

Great character. Americans have a real problem with getting out of the way of possessing a great character and high moral standards at every turn.

When are people going to begin to listen?

Scientists have explained over and over that the negative feedback loop of the Climate Crisis would begin to wear away at conventional methods of construction, etc.

What is everyone going to do stand around and call a construction site an emergency and seek FEMA money to try to reduce the effects of the Climate Crisis so the hideous carbon dioxide pollution can continue?

It' can't be done.

SEMMES, Ala. (WPMI) – Construction of a controversial oil pipeline in Semmes has stopped. (click here) The construction along with recent heavy rains have caused run off near construction sites in Mobile County. The city of Semmes issued a stop work order because of the possible environmental impacts.
Oil and water do not mix, but Semmes residents said soil, silt, and sediment in surround bodies of water is not any better.
“It’s just not a good mix,” said concerned Semmes resident, Patricia Pierce. After days of heavy down pour, the City of Semmes issued a stop work order at Plains Southcap construction sites near Howells Ferry and Firetower road, citing issues with measures in place to avoid sediment and erosion control. Like many Mobilians, citizens of Semmes said they are concerned about the oil pipeline that would go through the water shed...

Between Fracking, oil pipeline leaks and floods the watersheds in the USA are becoming worthless. The devaluation of environmental law is leading to a completely hideous set of circumstances. People don't listen and the only response any scientist can get for PROPER AND LEGAL RECOGNITION is when the topics get into the courts. It's stupid.

Consultant to Study Oil Pipeline's Risk to Maumelle Watershed (click here)

An outside consultant will study the risks the Exxon Oil pipeline could have on the Maumelle watershed.
Central Arkansas Water has been concerned about the dangers the Pegasus pipeline could pose after it ruptured in Mayflower more than four months ago.
The pipeline crosses through the watershed which provides drinking water to about 400,000 people.
The consultant will study any design problems and offer recommendations for reducing risk.
The pipeline broke on Easter Sunday in a Mayflower neighborhood, forcing the evacuation of dozens of residents.  Exxonmobil blames the rupture on the manufacturer. The company says an independent assessment found that cracks and a lack of toughness in pipeline material were factors in the break.

Where does everyone think they are going? There is no negotiation. Earth is the ULTIMATE EXTREMIST. Go ahead stop it. Go ahead try. No amount of poured concrete is going to change the course of this planet.

The most hideous 'talk anything' is how the Keystone Pipeline is going to create jobs and all kinds of money for the USA. Baloney. The Keystone Pipeline will continue to cause carbon dioxide pollution, continue the deterioration of the troposphere and COST the USA Treasury more than it will ever see in the way of economic upticks or increase in the tax base. The side effects of the Keystone Pipeline will COST the USA plenty and become still yet another subsidy to an ancient form of energy.

The Keystone Pipeline is STUPID. There is no other word.

Who is going to write the insurance policies for the American Dream? Americans? They'll have to be self insured if they want to own a home.

STUPID. This entire petroleum focus in the USA is nothing but stupid.

Mudslide, Flash Flooding Strand Cars in Colorado (click here)

MANITOU SPRINGS, Colo. August 10, 2013 (AP)

A mudslide closed a highway and flash flooding stranded vehicles in high, fast-moving water Friday night as rain fell west of Colorado Springs in an area burned by the Waldo Canyon wildfire last year.
Manitou Springs police reported three people injured Friday night, and they were trying to confirm whether one person was missing. El Paso County sheriff's officials said one of the injured had a leg injury, and another had a back injury.
Residents told The Gazette at least one home was swept away.
Firefighters also rescued one man from a creek.
The mudslide closed U.S. 24 between Cascade and Manitou Springs....

Maybe Americans like being stupid. They don't have to think, they can sit around and drink, watch their favorite sports and simply spout hatred of those that actually do think for a living. They don't have to read and challenge their substandard values for their own education and that of their children. I guess it is easier to be stupid.

For the record, I believe Oscar Grant was in good hands in the hospital.

In sincerely believe they tried desperately to save his life.

This is what I think occurred with Oscar post TRAUMA.

Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation (DIC)

This is from WebMD (click here)

...In DIC, the body's natural ability to regulate blood clotting does not function properly. This causes the blood's clotting cells (platelets) to clump together and clog small blood vessels throughout the body. This excessive clotting damages organs, destroys blood cells, and depletes the supply of platelets and other clotting factors so that the blood is no longer able to clot normally. This often causes widespread bleeding, both internally and externally....

No matter how much blood they pumped into Oscar, including platelets, could stop the bleeding. His wounds were incredibly traumatic to the body. The wounds were not at his extremities. The wounds were at the center of his chest dynamics. He was trying very hard to stay alive. His wellness worked in his favor, but, the longer he bled the more the platelets were used throughout his body and the gross survival reaction of his healthy body to stop the bleeding worked against his efforts and that of his medical team. He suffered a horrible death and the mental cruelty was beyond imagination.

The reason such efforts failed is due to the complicated syndrome called "The Clotting Cascade."

The clotting of human blood is a complicated scenario. People rely on blood to carry oxygen and nutrients to nurture their body. Now realize the blood is circulating to every cell of body tissue. It becomes the body's defense as a survival mechanism. That is why there is a 'cascade' because the 'circumstances' have to be correct to 'stimulate' a clotting response.

If a child happens to accidentally injure themselves and bleeds; the bleeding doesn't stop immediately. It takes a fairly short period of time to form a clot at the site of the injury to stop the bleeding. The reason for that is because 'biochemicals' have to initiate this survival mechanism of circulating blood. That biochemical reaction occurs at the level of cells. Platelets are only a small part of the cascade.

But, every aspect of the cascade has to be intact for it to initiate.

When a large trauma occurs as with Oscar the 'body's supply' of those biochemicals becomes depleted. When that depletion of the body tissues occurs; which are vitamins, minerals and biochemical compounds of the body's metabolism; no matter how much blood or platelets are infused as quickly as possible it is DIFFICULT to stop the bleeding because THE ENTIRE biochemical cascade is no longer in the 'stores of the tissues/cells.'

Oscar was severely depleted and while the trauma teams seek to return the body to stability and reinfuse all those wonderful biochemical COMPONENTS to force the body to return to a normal balance, that doesn't mean the body is going to cooperate. Cell Death. There is cell death that occurs after the trauma and during the survival response. There is no way of infusing cells to the parts of the effected body due to cell specialization.

It is the trauma that is the enemy. The initial trauma has to end.

Oscar did not will his death. He fought hard to stay with all those he loved.

My sincerest sympathies to all those whom's lives he touched.

Another death by a Neighborhood Watchman in Florida. This time domestic abuse. Don't tell me, "Stand Your Ground and the Castle Doctrine." The wicked wife was punching him out.

I have a challenge to the leadership.

I know for a fact Black Americans and Brown Americans are very under represented in our economy.

The challenge is to point to it. I want the Black Leaders to point to the disparity of minorities in our economy.

Example: There are 40% less Black Lawyers in Los Angles than Caucasian Lawyers and there are 60% more Black Americans that live there. I don't know if those percentages are correct. That was an example.

Another, there are 60% less Black Physicians in Los Angeles than Caucasian Physicians while the population is 60% Black.

Those statistics, across the nation, will bring about FACTS that cannot be disputed and why OPPORTUNITY and WEALTH still lacks in our minorities.

I guarantee there are dearly few plastic surgeons in the USA that are minorities. It is a specialty occupied by physicians that want to be wealthy and I sincere doubt there are many minorities in that specialty.

How is a Caucasian lawyer suppose to represent injustice in our legal system if he or she has not got a clue what 'the street' is like to call home. By 'the street' I mean the CONDITIONS our minorities experience in their day to day lives. How is a Caucasian lawyer suppose to do anything except PROCESS a Black Man through the system if they don't understand the dynamics these men face?

The odds of injustice are very high when even lawyers and legislators that represent Black Men carry out their JOBS without having 'been there.' This is not about 'brotherly bonding,' it is about WILLINGLY RECOGNIZING the fact Black American Men are 'against the ropes' with their first infant breath. They are against the ropes in utero for that matter. The quality of care their mothers receive isn't state of the art either.

It needs to be pointed out to the majority of the USA that they are not correct in their opinions that impact minority populations. That their entertainment industry discriminates in it's view of the world and enforces fear and loathing. I want the media to be saturated with Black Men doing magnificent things with their lives, being happy and safe with loving and successful families. As a nation we need to brag about the accomplishments of our minorities and their proportional appearance in our professions and prison system. The disproportion of both currently is a national shame and tragedy.

I want to brag about our minorities wealth, how they achieved it and where their future lies for their children. I want to see examples of the filthy rich being Black American Men and the opulent castles they have built for their families. I want Black Royalty in the USA. I want a Black Camelot.

PHILADELPHIA (NNPA) - One of the primary goals (click here) of the 1963 March on Washington was finding or creating jobs for Blacks. At a panel discussion during the annual convention of the National Urban League, jobs was mentioned more frequently than any other topic as leaders discussed the famous march 50 years ago and an upcoming one planned for Saturday, Aug. 24.
Barbara Arnwine, president and executive director of the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, said employers are increasingly using measures that have nothing to do with job performance that disproportionately limits the ability of African-Americans to gain employment.
“I need you to make sure that your state has a law that says very clearly that you cannot use the fact that somebody has been arrested as a reason not to employ them,” she told convention delegates. “A mere arrest tells you nothing.”...

Lawyers are the difference. Not just any lawyer, well paid lawyers.

The police officer that murdered Oscar Grant was not unlike George Zimmerman. The community had to know when he was charged with First Degree Murder it was manipulation of the truth. The officer never committed First Degree Murder. Second Degree Murder, but, not first. There was no forethought to the death of Oscar Grant. It was at the very best opportunistic and that is according to video footage.

But, the community was manipulated to prevent riots. I cannot believe that officer got away with serving 11 months. The deaths of Oscar Grant and Trayvon Martin have a lot in common. They were both police shootings in many ways; one an officer and one a vigilante, police officer wannabee. Both unjustified and both predatory. Both shooters tried and convicted their victims. Make no doubt about it both were victims. That is not always stated 'in those words.' Oscar Grant and Trayvon Martin were the VICTIMS of a gun culture that discriminates against it's prey.

There is a lot of fear in the USA and it manifests in victimization of Black American Men. There has to be fear of something in order for fear to exist.

I remember, as a mother, wanting to put my young men in a bubble at times. Young people can do such stupid things sometimes and it seems no matter how a parent tries to protect them it happens anyway. Racism was never an issue with my sons. I don't remember ever talking about hatred of others. I guess that might be kind of strange, but, we never had those conversations. As a matter of fact my oldest son went to a private school where there were many young Black Men and not all were Americans. Any my youngest son attended a high school with high diversity throughout the classroom experience. Racism just wasn't in our language. In order for it to be in language it has to be in thoughts.

I some ways, as a parent, I had it easy. My sons were Caucasian. They still did silly things, but, it never amounted to false accusations and a threat of death in their lives. What kind of bubble as a society do we have to build for young Black American Men or Black American Men in general these days? We need some rules for the road to navigate this hell we as a society have created for our minorities. We better come up with some good ones, spread it through our society like wildfire and make sure our social contract with Black American Men is solidly enforced at every turn. This is deadly stuff we have created and we need to stop it with full force right now.

There was no public access to the internet 50 years ago, maybe more people will pay attention today.

Ten priests and laypeople, (click here) including four members of a newly established archdiocesan Commission on Human Rights, represented the St. Louis Catholic community in the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, held 50 years ago this month.
The Aug. 28, 1963, march involved a peaceful gathering of 200,000 people, the largest demonstration up to that time in capital history. A number of priests, rabbis and ministers added to the atmosphere of faith and prayer.
"One could call it almost a pious crusade rather than a political one," Msgr. Daniel Moore, then-editor of the St. Louis Review, wrote about the march. "The people all seemed to evidence a spirit of hope that something concrete would result from their demonstration. And even though legislation requires political action, this demonstration was basically a religious or holy crusade, rather than a political one."
The march preceded the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex or national origin. Passage of the act ended the application of "Jim Crow" laws, which had been upheld by the Supreme Court in the 1896 case Plessy v. Ferguson, in which the court held that racial segregation purported to be "separate but equal" was constitutional. The Civil Rights Act eventually was expanded by Congress to strengthen enforcement of these fundamental civil rights....

There are some typing joblessness to the immigration bill. Although there are drags on the USA economy due to immigration that is not the complete picture. I think the border amendment is ridiculous. It is pork quite frankly. But, the immigration bill as it stands today is the best that can be had from this Congress. That is not saying much.  The legislation from this Congress is very poor quality, but, that is partly the electorate's fault and their populous agenda.

But, the jobs issue is due more to a stagnant economy brought on by Wall Street profiteering. If Wall Street was investing in their employees by providing better pay and benefits there would be more disposable income.  Disposable income is 'circulating capital.' Circulating capital returns jobs to the economy and increases demand for services and products. Wall Street is still the problem. They are hording their monies rather than building the economies in which they seek profits.

There is only one way to restart and expand a stangnant economy with STRUCTURAL unemployment.

There has to be an increase in disposable income to those already employed to increase demand of products. When products are more in demand there is a need to increase inventories to keep up with demand. That means more employment in the USA economy and if that 'demand' can be contained to increase manufacturing, like the wind turbines manufactured in Michigan under Former Governor Jennifer Granholm it INSTITUTES a sustainable future for those jobs and growth to the USA economy.

Granholm (click here) today announced a significant power purchase agreement between Consumers Energy and Traverse City-based Heritage Sustainable Energy that will result in the first large-scale production of utility-scale wind turbines fully made in Michigan.  The agreement was celebrated today by the parties, together with wind turbine manufacturer Northern Power Systems and key supplier Merrill Technologies Group, at a press conference in Lansing....

Now, if we could get them to the Great Lake Wind Map Fields to actually produce electricity in mass amounts that would be nice.

The Great USA Middle Class, also known as Quality of Life. Wall Street will NEVER do it willingly even though it is best for their free market growth.

The Current Republican Governor's political career was sold lock, stock and barrel to Koch Industries and their SuperPacs. In order to provide 'kick backs' to Koch Industries for financing his political career Snyder wants to Frack Michigan so the Kochs can get all their political investment monies back and substantially more. Koch Industries PROFITS from natural gas Fracking.

Questions?

Rather than harnessing the wind power of the Great Lakes and building sustainable jobs in Michigan, Snyder is OPTING for Flash in the Pan Political profits. Once the gas is gone the land will be destroyed for generations and quite possibly forever and there still won't be a sustainable energy source for or FROM Michigan.

Canada now has the lead on this because stupid FOR SALE Republican Governors line the Wind Fields of the Great Lakes. Interesting strategy against the American people to benefit Big Oil, isn't it?

Wisconsin - Scott Walker
Michigan - What's his name Snyder
Ohio - John Kasich
Pennsylvania - Tom Corbet

The only Great Lake States with Democratic Governors are Minnesota and New York. The 2010 elections was a planned assault not just against public employee unions, but, by the petroleum industry to DISABLE the ability of the USA to produce Wind Power.

It is up to the American people to recapture and rebuild their economy through local initiatives and unions with Wall Street firms. It has to be done. No one is going to do it for them, not even their government. Their government is being disabled rather than made to facilitate their needs and aspirations for their children. It is a planned assault against the American people by a dying breed of greed merchants.

"Swarm" Economies

This is no mystery. It somewhat comes out of Game Theory. But, primarily it is a "Bubble and Bust" Economy. The Swarm is a Bubble. A Day Trader simply has to know what the size of the Bubble is, purchase the targeted stock and ride the Bubble to it's height (knowing the size and scope of it) and then sell the targeted stock at the height of the Bubble. Once that is completed the entire Swarm Profiteering has gone Bust.

Simple. Easy. Nearly undetectable. The truth.

It is akin to what Jamie Dimon said, "We make a little bit of money out of many investments."

Exactly.

Like the micropennies accumulated per second on the undersea long lines between NYC and London.

This is exactly the problem with Wall Street these days.

Wall Street "swarms" it's profits. In other words the "Big Thinkers" at Wendy's came up with a Bagel Burger. A novelty.

Consumers content with McDonald's during their Millionaire Monopoly game will tirer of the new menu items there and will swarm over to Wendy's to try the new menu items there.

This is a completely dysfunctional free market system. This market system imposed on the USA Consumer is a designer market for 'Day Traders.'

As Wendy is preparing for the Swarm of New Consumers attracted from other fast food Wall Street vendors, Day Traders have already purchased share in Wendy's to raise the assets of their accounts. When the Swarm Market ends the Day Trader will have already ended their interests in Wendy's and will have sold their stocks for more than they purchased them for. Wendy's will ultimately pay the price because they HAVE NOT achieved greater and permanent market penetration. When Hardees comes out with their new novelty item the Swarm Market will begin again.

This is NOT a sustainable economy. It is opportunistic and will continue to dysfunction and wear away at the USA's vitality in the free market system.

This Swarm Economy and Day Trader dream come true will not return circulating capital to the USA economy to expand purchase power. It will continue to hold monies within the top 1 percent.

A while back, (click here) I took a look at some of the new breakfast pastry items that Wendy's will be rolling out in the great US of A in the coming months.  With some items being sloppier than a whorehouse at low tide (Cinna-Middles), and others being borderline at best (Cinnamon Crumb Muffin), it was time to take a look at one of the more classic breakfast sandwich options...

The Bus Tour could use some media recognition and exposure. These folks are sincere without any reason to doubt their message.

Carlee Soto -- whose sister, Victoria, was among the 26 killed in Newtown, Connecticut elementary school last December -- speaks during a Wednesday rally in Union Park in Des Moines. The event was part of a 25 state Mayors Against Illegal Guns bus tour seeking comprehensive background checks for those trying to purchase guns and other changes to reduce gun violence.

..."It is time (click here) for our leaders in Washington to take meaningful action to help save lives." Soto said to nearly 100 people that rallied at Union Park. "Gun violence knows no bounds and it poses a serious threat to all Americans everywhere."...
DES MOINES – Speakers with close ties to gun-violence tragedies brought a national campaign for what they called “common-sense gun policies” to Iowa on Wednesday.
Gun-control advocates traveling with the Mayors Against Illegal Guns bus tour included Carlee Soto, whose sister, Victoria, was a teacher killed last December at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Conn., and Pat Maisch, a woman who survived a shooting at a 2011 political gathering in Tucson, Ariz.
“It’s time for our leaders in Washington to take meaningful action and to help save lives,” Soto told nearly 100 people who rallied at Union Park. “Gun violence knows no bounds and it poses a serious threat to all Americans everywhere.”
A broad coalition of gun violence prevention advocates came together to voice their support for comprehensive and enforceable background checks as part of a 25-state tour over 100 days. Advocates said it remains too easy for criminals, domestic abusers, and other dangerous or seriously mentally ill individuals to skirt laws and obtain guns by purchasing them online or at gun shows where background checks are not required under federal law.

Wendy's needs a union! Their CEO is worthless.

This is the stupidity of Wall Street and their 'so called' market forces. According to Wendy's CEO in January they have to get better 'thinker' to thunk up better STRATEGIES to improve profits.

There is only ONE THING that will provide better profits to Wendy's. They need to get rid of all their "Big Thinkers" that have no clue what that one thing is and their profits will BEGIN to increase.

Then the ONLY thing Wendy has to do is sell MORE PRODUCT. Ah, but, how do they do that, they just let all their Big Thinkers go and there are no more Big Thinkers at Wendy's.

Hmmmmmmmmm???????????????????

I got it, increase the pay and benefits of their workers that puts more DISPOSABLE INCOME into their pockets and watch them sell more burgers. I'll be darn.

The United States of America has a huge service industry. While rebuilding it's manufacturing sector, there are enormous service industry jobs. The market is stalled. Why? Because there more money coming into it. The money is sequestered at the top 1% and the rest of the PRODUCT MARKET is starving due to lack of CIRCULATING CAPITAL.

This is NOT magic. Products won't move off shelves UNTIL they are dirt cheap rather than the high expectations of manufacturers and retailers. The CEOs are starving their own markets because they won't pay their employees a living wage, yet alone a DISPOSABLE income.

Where is the consumer money? A CEO has to look to where the money in the USA Economy is and realize they have a problem. The money is sequestered in their stockholder incomes and their own bonuses. CEOs are living on hubris while their economy implodes around them.

THE BEST OPPORTUNITY for any American to upward movement is higher education and/or small business start ups. The CEOs of Wall Street are worthless to the American consumer. They have painted themselves into a corner and they are too scared to find their way out.

LOCAL ECONOMIES EVERYONE !!!!!!!!

Start a beekeeping enterprise and sell the honey to the local organic food market. Look around the community, find an opportunity that is viable and find a way to BUILD YOUR OWN COMMUNITY ECONOMY.

If Wall Street wants to succeed they have to accept unions and their contracts as a means to building a better Middle Class and returning circulating capital to the USA economy. They don't do it? We'll find a way.

NEW YORK — Wendy's new CEO (click here) on Monday called the dour results of the past few years "self-inflicted wounds" and vowed to do better, laying out plans that included hiring top-tier workers and reclaiming market share from higher-end competitors like Five Guys and Smashburger.
Emil Brolick, the CEO since September, told investors on Monday that he was intent on winning back customers, jaded by a stale menu and inconsistent service, as well as investors, who have grown weary of "a little bit of overpromising and under-delivering."
And rather than blaming the struggling economy for the revenue declines and quarterly losses of the past few years, Brolick said that the company's problems were its own fault. Though Wendy's Co. had carved out a niche in the restaurant business as fast food for grownups, it had lost its way in recent years....
