There is no further need for abusive border policies.

Title 42 will be ending May 11, 2023 and the Governor of Texas has been unhappy (click here) about it because sheriffs are unhappy about it. Currently, there are bills in the Texas legislature that over reach into federal authority when it comes to border crossings at the USA southern border.

The chart clearly shows the majority of illegal border crossings are single adults; not families or minors, but, single adults. 

President Biden has already addressed the issue.

...will likely take effect before the May 11 expiration of the pandemic-era public health restrictions known as Title 42....

Texas does not have to and should not create state laws that over reach into federal jurisdiction or create human rights violations. It is pure vigilantism that includes a court outside the jurisdiction of federal law.

The Governor's Operation Lone Star was a complete failure (click here) attracting more and more border crossings during it's 18 months existence. Operation Lone Star can account for the border crossing increases attributed to President Biden.

Together, the bills amount to a dangerous and extreme effort to expand Texas’ border policing program including the creation of a state-sponsored vigilante border protection unit and the codification and expansion of a border policing, court, and jailing system that has to date resulted in injuries, deaths, racial discrimination, abusive detention conditions, and a chilling effect on freedoms of association and expression....
