I object to Aaron Swartz being called a hacktivist. He was not at all.

"Anonymous" may find an affection for Aaron, but, they are completely unrelated. Aaron was a sincere victim of the prosecutor. He was victimized.

Because I work for a politician who harasses all his female staff does not mean I enjoy the harassment.

Aaron Swartz was practicing his profession within the law and MIT rolled over and played dead as soon as the potential threat of loss of government contracts could be in the balance.

Aaron Swartz obtained professional articles legally within his capacity as a student at MIT. He is not the perpetrator of crime as stated as crime by statues in the USA.

Because I write a book about murder and a murder occurred in the way the book prescribed does not make me a partner to the crime. Not in the remotest sense. Nor any books sold after the murder would be anything but book sales.

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind Aaron Swartz feel victim to malicious prosecution.

If nothing else civil litigation should ensue to indict everyone along the way of the fantasy they were engaged in which caused his death.

A collective of hackers (click here) known as Anonymous commandeered a Department of Justice website Saturday to protest what it called the harsh treatment by government prosecutors of Internet activist Aaron Swartz, who committed suicide this month.

The hackers replaced the site's content with a video denouncing the government and praising the 26-year-old co-founder of Reddit, who hanged himself two weeks ago as his trial date for allegedly hacking into an MIT computer network neared. Swartz, who was accused of illegally downloading academic articles, faced up to 30 years in prison.

Swartz had long promoted open access of information on the Web....

The civil litigation needs to include morons such as those that wrote this article and published it defaming Aaron's name, trademark and reputation. Promoting open access is nothing but GOOD BUSINESS sense. He has completely demonstrated through actions and not words he has a philanthropic relationship with the public in his capacity to pass on the basis of his genius.

I don't run from authority that stamps its feet in fear of its own inadequacies, evidently others don't either.

Mind Speak is not my specialty and it should not be that of the media either.

If Anonymous was able to gain access to a government website that was suppose to be secure in spite of any attempt, then there is a very good chance the Chinese have already been there. It says more about the stupid government than it does about Anonymous.

Quite frankly, just because Anonymous gained access proves NO EXPERTISE on either side of the equation. Written words on a page called legal statute does NOTHING to contain national security of the USA. Let this be a lesson to everyone and to exacerbate its understanding beyond that is pure idiocy.

For the media to exacerbate the understanding of the complete insult to the USA government beyond the incompetency completely demonstrated in this incident is Mind Speak, in case no one recognizes it. Mind Speak is the basis of the war into Iraq. When is that FACT going to be litigated in a real way called a Class Action Suit for wrongful deaths in that war? Dear God, where has moral content in the USA gone?
