"Something wicked this way comes." Two dead during a 'rush hour' tornado in Oklahoma City.

That turbulence formed in less than an hour.  (click here for 12 hour loop)    Exactly in front of that high pressure.  There is no way anyone expected that.

It manifested because of the vortex system DIRECTLY to its north.  That vortex system is directly connected to an arctic air mass.  As soon as the warmth and moisture met it was all over.  It was instantaneou.  The troposphere is hot and any opportunity for turbulence will occur.

The 'logic' place to estimate that tornado was northwest of where it actually occured.  The other place would have been where water vapor was dense over Iowa or Missouri.  It didn't take much warm water to turn it into a violent cloud, did it?

That stable air mass is still in the same location in the Atlantic.  The Pacific isn't much improved, but, only slightly.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Two people were killed and three children were critically injured (click title to entry - thank you) Tuesday when a series of tornadoes rolled through Oklahoma City and its suburbs during the rush hour, authorities said....

My NOAA radio has been sounding off all day today.  These storms are incredibly strong and unpredictable no matter how hard everyone tries.
