I think we all know why now; besides; asking for a piece of the Kingdom's wealth; which Trump did, by the way; the Saudi Crown Prince is a gift to Israel.
This isn't a one time casual meeting. Trump has convinced the Crowned Prince he can help modernize Saudi Arabia. That was begun years ago by the current King.
Trump regularly harasses the Crown Prince to continue to be assured when he becomes King, his loyalty is assured. Saudi Arabia has some of the largest Air Force numbers in the Middle East. It would hamper Israel's plans if it attacked Iran.
When realizing the personal agenda Trump brings to the White House I think the massive staff exodus and revolving door is very understandable.
