Why does everyone assume Trump is not knowledgeable about the fact the Chinese and Russians are listening to his private phone. He is probably enjoying the attention. I mean that.

That involvement with Chinese and Russian intelligence is at least as exciting as the beautiful letters from Kim.

Not only that, but, Trump can ask the Russians and Chinese to intervene in elections as a victim of spying.

When President Obama took office the idea he was keeping his personal phone was outrageous and the security experts in the White House then had to hone their skills to secure a Blackberry when they never did before. In that is the understanding President Obama respected the security of the USA. Trump doesn't respect anything. He has been ignoring national security reports daily since the campaign. He doesn't care about the security of the USA.

White supremacists and other far-right groups (cilck here) committed the majority of extremist-related murders in the United States last year, according to a new report by the Anti-Defamation League.
White supremacists were "directly responsible" for 18 out of 34 U.S. extremist-related deaths in 2017, the ADL said. Islamic extremists, by comparison, were only responsible for nine deaths in America.
Last year’s share of white supremacist killings represents a jump from 2016, when such groups accounted for nine homicides.
In an op-ed in The Atlantic accompanying the report, ADL National Director and CEO Jonathan Greenblatt noted that the uptick in white supremacist violence in 2017 occurred against the backdrop of an increasingly conspicuous alt-right movement....

The Food and Drug Administration (click here) on Wednesday approved a new, single-dose flu medication to treat people 12 and older who have had the flu for no more than 48 hours.

Baloxavir, to be sold by Genentech under the brand name Xofluza, is the only single-dose oral medicine approved to treat the flu. It has been shown to significantly reduce the duration of symptoms.

It's expected to be available within weeks.

The announcement comes at the outset of the 2018-19 flu season, after the deadliest season in four decades. More than 80,000 people died from the flu in the United States in 2017-18 and 900,000 were hospitalized, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Xofluza is the first new flu medicine with a novel proposed mechanism of action approved in nearly 20 years, FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb said.

"With thousands of people getting the flu every year, and many people becoming seriously ill, having safe and effective treatment alternatives is critical," said Gottlieb, a physician....

Rudy Guiliani seems to be at the center of the potential violence along with Trump's speech writers.

If I understand the facts, there were three bombs in New York which included the news agency CNN and now there is a bomb in Florida. There appear to be two bomb makers that may or may not be related, but, certainly are working simultaneously. And then there was the attack on George Soros.

Altogether there are five bombs in 48 hours. That should be enough information to the FBI to begin making conclusions, especially since Rep. Wasserman-Schultz has had incidences like this before occur in a previous year’s campaign.

They are hate crimes since they target the Democratic leadership and their donor. I think the country has had enough hate speech for now.

Guiliani is at the center of the attempted murder of George Soros. Freedom of Speech is not absolute and Guiliani's involvement is a prime example.

Just for the record, the DOW is sliding and it isn't about a Democratic majority. Reality is setting in on Wall Street. The glut of money they received from the tax cuts starting in January didn't mean income increased from the business of the company.

Trump uses al Qaeda's fear paradigm to further his politics.

I love Kolbert's statement about "iceists." That was cool. Kolbert's segment is wonderfully entertaining, but, he identifies a very serious issue with the way Trump speaks about people unable to defend themselves.

Donald Trump has more hate speech than any type of conciliatory tone. He chooses manufactured images and not facts or reality. The images he manufactures have real victims. The people at the end of his hateful images are powerless over his victimization of their lives.

A favorite of Trump's victims are Muslims characterized as terrorists. Not even the former President of the USA, following real attacks against the American people on September 11, 2001, ever once issued a travel ban. He demanded the USA intelligence community address the gaps of security at airports. The former President George W. Bush did not seek to create victims so much as FIND those that are actual threats. "W" wanted to end the threat, not create more victims of al Qaeda's particular form of terrorism.

In many ways, Trump has befriended al Qaeda in using it's terror techniques to further his political career. As President, that is a strange way of approaching policy.

I think Stephen Colbert's assessment is daring and brave. I applaud his willingness to be a humorist with an impact.

I am glad these people are protected.

Two explosive devices (click here) were found in mail sent to former U.S. President Barack Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the New York Times reported on Wednesday, citing a law enforcement official. The report said a similar device was sent to George Soros on Monday.

Authorities have yet to confirm the report, but the U.S. Secret Service said it intercepted a suspicious package sent to the Obama residence and the FBI's New York office said it was investigating a suspicous package found near the Clinton residence.

Soros, one of the world's biggest donors to liberal groups and causes, was not present at the scene of the incident.

Investigators have not named any suspects or disclosed a possible motive, but Soros has become a hated figure among some right-wing activists in the United States and Eastern Europe, and the target of a hostile media campaign by the nationalist government in his native Hungary....
I believe the Oxford English is the most comprehensive dictionary of the English language in the world.

Donald Trump is not allowed his own strange dictionary as president of this country.

Jamal Khashoggi's effect upon the world.

Do not assign political values to the death of Jamal Khashoggi. This is about a human rights violation. Across the spectrum of reporting of the death Turkey's reporting is consistent and significant.

Currently, the human rights violations by Saudi Arabia has been astounding since the Crowned Prince has taken leadership of the kingdom. The current King has acted honorably in answering to the family, Jamal Khashoggi's son, and has found the body. I am certain Turkey will conduct a forensic examination before the body is returned to the family for proper burial.

There are many aggrieved by this death, including an international community that is currently moving on sanctions against Saudi Arabia (Germany has canceled any sales of military armaments.) and the UK is canceling visas for the 15 persons involved in the murder. The UK will arrest any of these 15 people if they enter the country. Today, the human rights violations within Saudi Arabia were noted in the UK assembly with the Prime Minister.

The entire of the global community of professional journalists was jarred by the death of Jamal Khashoggi. He was a member of the Washington Post staff. That is a very high moral standing in the profession of journalism. The backlash from the news of Jamal Khashoggi's death was appropriate and necessary.

Saudi Arabia is holding a meeting inviting major global businesses. These businesses have to have complete reassurances of the safety of their own personnel when in Saudi Arabia. There are tourists that go to Saudi Arabia from all over the world. There are citizens from all over the world that attend religious worship in Saudi Arabia required by their faith. Those worshippers need to have assurances there is reasonable safety when they enter the kingdom.

I realize the entire Muslim community and the countries of the Middle East have received catastrophic fear and death from Daesh (ISIS). That religious trauma counts when countries enforce their national security and carry out police actions, however, human rights abuses against honest and honorable citizens such as Jamal Khashoggi is wrong.

The death of this journalist was completely unnecessary and it now overshadows the Crowned Prince's legitimacy to his influence in the global community. Leaders that end the threats of Deash (ISIS) are to be commended, but, overreaching of authority is a delicate balance that creates it's own form of fear. When illegitimate fear results because of national security, it becomes it's own problem for national security. In the Middle East especially the balance between citizen rights and the handling of criminals has to be according to rules all the people understand.

The global community will continue to impress it's concerns upon Saudi Arabia and the best outcomes for the people of Saudi Arabia will be sought.

I express my sincerest sympathies to the family of Jamal Khashoggi, including his former fiancee. I wish them peace.
