One of Trump’s lawyers sued last year.
Michael T. vander Veen sued him for Trump’s lies about mail in voting fraud. Washington Post. I guess he goes to the highest bidder.
Amazing.
According to a Washington Post poll there is more than a slim chance Trump will be found guilty. Currently, 40 are confident to vote for conviction and 21 others are open to conviction. That is 61 if all those open to conviction, do so. There are two that won’t say. But, to reach 67 five would have to be convinced Trump is guilty. It is possible.
Retribution?
That is their defense of Donald John Trump?
Then every crime committed is retribution. Every prosecution is retribution. Retribution is something Donald Trump knows about because during his administration there was nothing but retribution of anyone who didn’t provide loyalty to him rather than the rule of law.
Retribution is grounded in the idea of gaining gratification from taking actions against another. Retribution is zealotry. Retribution is not occurring on the US Senate floor today. Retribution does not require facts, hence loyalty. What is occurring today in the US Senate is the truth based in fact. There is no zeal in any of the US House managers today.
The US House managers have been reverent to the country’s history and how others have applied the Constitution to similar circumstances. Today’s hearing is unique in that never before was any former elected person turned against the US Constitution to incite terror and insurrection.
Trump’s lawyer has no defense. Instead, his lawyer is attempting to replace fact with further hate. Certainly, the Republicans must hate the Democrats to find loyalty to Trump. That is what is occurring in the US Senate today.
His lawyer is So Trumpism. Set aside dignity and solicit a different but gainful reality. There is no rule of law today from Trump’s lawyer, only to inspire more of the hate that existed on January 6th.
Trump’s lawyer is talking about a banana republic where the rule of law is sacrificed for retribution at every swing of the political wind. This is what the American people want? Not that I am aware of.
The 14th amendment by Trump’s lawyer argument is nonsense.
The real reason there is an impeachment trial is not based in hate of Donald John Trump. Narcissist. Everything is always about Trump. The impeachment trial is to protect the USA Constitution from demise. Trump came close, it wouldn’t happen again.
The US Senate changed majority because people were in fear for their country.
There is no partisanship in the films that show violence incited by Donald John Trump. The truth has never been so well documented. What? The lawyers for Trump are as much liars as he is. Where is Senator Leahy? He needs to stop the lies. Trump’s lawyers have no facts to back up their fantasy.
Threats. The Trump lawyers are threatening in the open members of Congress.
Leahy needs to assert control over the demeanor of these people.
Trump is unfit for office.
I’ve heard enough foolishness for one day.
There were families in the Capital that day.
Some of our most innocent people, our children, were always safe in their country’s Capital. Field Trips full of awe and wonder have been learning experiences. To Middle Schoolers it is a deeper understanding of their lessons. The Capital is a place of learning as well as government.
Hopefully, someday soon, the country can re-engage the nation’s Capital as before January 6th. It is important for families to feel safe there again.
Freedom of Speech is not a defense.
Incitement of an insurrection is not freedom of speech. That speech is a tool to end a democracy. A president that allows an insurrection is not acting according to the oath of office he took. There is no validity to his plea.
A number of scholars have in this past week written of the right and duty to impeach a past president that has assaulted the USA Constitution.
There is only one conclusion anyone can make and that Donald John Trump is guilty.
His words were that of insurrection. If every other word that can be debated, there are words that are irrefutable to the amendments in the impeachment. Trump verbally assaulted his own Vice President. Those words are irrefutable. Those words then played out at the Capital. This is fact and is undeniable.
Donald John Trump is guilty.
That is the truth.

The USA Defense Department is going to the moon. I can't believe this government is actually depriving children of their lives out of poverty, but, sending the USA Defense Department to the moon. And why are they sending the Defense Department to the moon? To build moon structures that have absolutely nothing to do with the national defense of the USA. Amazing. And the USA Defense department is going to the moon because the privatized rocket people can't seem to get it done. What? The USA Defense Department is going to go to the moon to accommodate the private sector? Really? I don't think so. If I am reading this right, the people of the USA have a few problems to straighten out.
As commercial space companies (click here) increase the cadence of successful rocket launches, access to space is becoming more routine for both government and commercial interests. But even with regular launches, modern rockets impose mass and volume limits on the payloads they deliver to orbit. This size constraint hinders developing and deploying large-scale, dynamic space systems that can adapt to changes in their environment or mission.
To address this problem, DARPA today announced its Novel Orbital and Moon Manufacturing, Materials and Mass-efficient Design (NOM4D) program. The effort, pronounced “NOMAD,” seeks to pioneer technologies for adaptive, off-earth manufacturing to produce large space and lunar structures. As an example, once we eliminate the need to survive launch, large structures such as antennas and solar panels can be substantially more weight efficient, and potentially much more precise. We will also explore the unique features of in-situ resources obtained from the moon’s surface as they apply to future defense missions. Manufacturing off-earth maximizes mass efficiency and at the same time could serve to enhance stability, agility, and adaptability for a variety of space systems.”...
