May 7, 2006. Guymon, Oklahoma.

Photographer states :: The first truly severe thunderstorm of the spring season hit Guymon, Okla. on Sunday. Dime-sized hail and very heavy rain hit the area shortly after 7 p.m. Central time. Here, the storm is approaching the Texas County Fairgrounds, where the Pioneer Days Fair was enjoying its last night.

Guymon, Oklahoma and hail outside the window.

Photographer states :: A severe thunderstorm moved across the Oklahoma Panhandle, bringing small hail and 60 mph winds. This shot is just for fun. I though I would try to capture the hail by popping my flash and just shooting out the window.

The flood of Guymon, Okalhoma. Floods happen after long droughts. The soil erosion is usually significant as well.


Photographer states : As the sun sets, the storm moves away and .... the flood. Fourth at the railroad tracks was barricaded under a couple feet of water.
