Genesee County is seeing a drop in cases and is vaccinating at about 10 percent of the population.

In looking at the infection rate from Genesee County in Michigan there is every reason President Biden should be proud. His leadership is having a profound impact on Americans and in this case African American people. I think they are listening.

Genesee County, MI - New cases of COVID-19 (click here) in the county dropped to an average of 15 per day this week and the county Health Department carried out a large-scale clinic Friday, Feb. 12, aimed at vaccinating 1,000 more teachers.

County Medical Health Officer Dr. Pamela Hackert said Wednesday, Feb. 10, that the drop in cases is important, in part because it equates to a lesser risk of contracting new variants of the virus.

“As long as our numbers are going down, the risk of exposure to (other variants) that are much more easy to transmit -- that is going to corelate with not having as much risk of exposure,” Hackert told the county Board of Commissioners.

The county Health Department continues to wait for more supply of vaccines from the state of Michigan, but the area’s vaccination rate has topped 10 percent of those 16 and older with 33,050 first doses given as of Wednesday. More than 50,000 county residents have pre-registered are are on a vaccination waiting list....

On a national level that is comparible. (click here) About 10.8 percent of the people have received one or more vaccines. About 4 percent have received two doses. There is a current population in the USA is about 331 million including children.

Excuse me? There are three US Senators that need to be brought up on ethics charges.

I doubt they were meeting for supper. I believe it is a violation of the oath they took before the proceedings began. Consulting with the defense attornies is not impartial or justice. It is not surprising it is these three either.

I solemnly swear (click here) (or affirm, as the case may be,) that in all things appertaining to the trial of the impeachment of , now pending, I will do impartial justice according to the Constitution and laws: so help me God.

A trio of Republican senators allied with former President Donald Trump (click here) met with his defense team Thursday evening, in the middle of an impeachment trial in which they will vote on whether to convict Trump and potentially bar him from holding public office again.

Sens. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Ted Cruz of Texas and Mike Lee of Utah were spotted going into a room in the US Capitol that Trump's lawyers were using to prepare for their arguments.

Trump lawyer David Schoen said that the senators were "very friendly guys" who just wanted to make sure they were "familiar with procedure" on the eve of their rebuttal to the House impeachment managers' presentation.

When asked if it's appropriate to meet with senators during the trial, Schoen said, "Oh yeah, I think that's the practice of impeachment."...

Expressing displeasure (click here) over delay in blocking accounts flagged by the government, Ministry of Electronics & IT Secretary Ajay Sawhney, told Twitter officials that it must follow the law of the land.

The Secretary held a virtual interaction with Twitter officials on Thursday night. He took this opportunity to remind the microblogging platform that India's constitution and laws are supreme in the country. It is expected that responsible entities not only reaffirm but remain committed to compliance to the law of land, Sawhney said, according to sources.

Earlier, Twitter had sought a meeting with the government after receiving the Ministry's notice to block over 1400 accounts. Twitter claimed that it has blocked 500 of those accounts and refused to block accounts of civil rights activists and media citing freedom of speech.

"Twitter is free to formulate its own rules and guidelines like any other business entity does, but Indian laws which are enacted by the Parliament of India must be followed irrespective of Twitter’s own rules and guidelines," the government told Twitter during a meeting.

Misuse of Twitter for the execution of campaigns designed to create disharmony and unrest in India is unacceptable, the Ministry said, adding that it must take strong action against such things through compliance with the applicable law of the land....

Superficial case.

With Americans dead and the US Capital turned into a place of violence Trump’s defense team turns toward superficial lies.

Trump broke with his oath of office very early in the presidency. There is nothing in the articles of impeachment to dispute. He is guilty.

The articles of impeachment has not attached political affiliation to any of the US House findings, such as White Supremacists. The defense attorneys are attempting to make false statements as if one leftist extremist group was the only people at the insurrection. It is a false focus. It is a distraction and a crutch for members of the Republicans who are Trump loyalists. It isn’t much of a crutch either.
