The Tale of Two Parties. The Dems believe women should be heard from and not just seen.

The Republican Governor circumvented the Palm Beach County Commissioner, Melissa McKinlay (click here). Ms. McKinlay obviously is doing all the hard work to be sure migrant farm workers received vaccines. There is a more than 50 percent chance she would have objected to only Publix receiving the right to distribute the vaccine in Palm Beach County.

Commissioner Melissa McKinlay biography (click here).

Distributing vaccines is like a community ad, right? Those that do the job are thought of differently than those that do not do the job. It was a poor decision to even allow a hint of corruption to enter the picture.

Governor DeSantis goes on and on about how CBS's narrative is false and he is exonerated from allowing a $100,000 donor to his campaign exclusive rights to vaccinations. It is definitely "Pay to Play" regardless of the explanation DeSantis gives.

I like Publix. I think it is a very fine grocery store. This scheme to reach areas of the county where seniors live may be a great idea, but, the facts are clear. Publix was a huge donor to the Governor's campaign AND they left out a woman commissioner in the decision-making who believes the government handles vaccination just fine.

I don't know of any senior citizens that would not appreciate walking out of their homes to an awaiting van for a vaccine.

The CBS journalist, Sharyn Alfonsi, specifically names Commissioner McKinlay. It is simply wrong to completely eliminate a woman elected by the people out of the discussion as to what is best for the people of her district.

DeSantis is wrong. No matter his justification for allowing Publix to distribute vaccines it is a Pay to Play directive by DeSantis. It just is. There were no plans submitted to be cleared by the mayor or the administrator so a decision could be voted on and/or decided, he did not meet with everyone in Palm Beach County because Commissioner McKinlay was not contacted.

DeSantis decided. He clearly stated he gave Palm Beach County mayor and administrator his options for the county. So, DeSantis decided what was best and then presented those limited options to the people running the government.

I don't like DeSantis' narrative and the CBS journalist has a point regardless of his dismissal of it. He is wrong and a woman official elected by the people was completely excluded from any facts, presentation, or decision.

Perhaps CBS and Ms. Alfonsi will make a visit again with Commission McKinlay to see how indeed the distribution of the vaccine is going and whether or not Senior Citizens are getting their vaccinations.

And, by the way, where is the reporting of the vaccines to the county health commissioner who should be following the vaccinations for adverse effects?

There is a huge divide in the USA between the way the two parties conduct themselves. DeSantis went out on a limb to decide the best way forward without any real medical consultation. Ms. McKinlay included Jared Moskowitz (click here) Director of Florida's Division of Emergency Management. He was appointed by the governor. Democrats like the government to have control of emergency situations while Republicans like to dispel the idea government is competent when it is so very much better to let the commercial industry handle everything.

This has to stop. The USA cannot continually be on a roller coaster of administrative directives. That is a banana republic. There is a CORRECT way of doing things and there is an inexcusable incorrect way of doing things. The government is supposed to protect citizens not exploit them for Pay to Play.

The victims of a mass shooting (click here) at a FedEx facility in Indianapolis were identified by police Friday evening. They are:

Matthew R Alexander, 32
Samaria Blackwell, 19
Amarjeet Johal, 66
Jaswinder Kaur, 64
Jaswinder Singh, 68
Amarjit Sekhon, 48
Karlie Smith, 19
John Weisert, 74

Local outlet ABC21 reported four of the victims were members of the Indianapolis Sikh community, according to Gurinder Singh Khalsa, a Sikh community leader....

Still yet ANOTHER young murderer. There are problems with white men in this age group that needs to be addressed to end the influence of the gun culture.

Isolation from social engagement in teens, especially boys, find ACCEPTANCE in online sites that FREQUENTLY leads to recruitment into White Supremacy/Nationalism.

Loneliness among young people is painful for them. They want to be accepted and become engaged in successful relationships. This isn't happening among some of our young men. If there were mental health problems how did he get the gun?

We have seen isolation as a malady in a young man's life over and over.

Indianapolis - The stepsister of 19-year-old Brandon Scott Hole, (click here) the suspected gunman in Thursday’s mass shooting at a FedEx facility in Indianapolis, described him as “isolated” in an exclusive interview with NewsNation affiliate WXIN-TV.

“Brandon was isolated,” said his stepsister, who didn’t want to be identified.

She said their father died by suicide in 2004.

“We do have a lot of mental illness in our family and he never got the help that he needed,” she said....

I think President Biden needs to assess the number of refugee children at the southern border.

Republicans are carrying on about the southern border. Those migrants at our border are climate refugees. I am sure the Biden Administration is taking a pause to return higher numbers of refugees accepted because of the climate refugees out of the Northern Triad.

President Biden is correct to pause a return to higher levels of admissions into the country of refugees from other countries. The southern border is becoming a place where climate refugees have congregated. It is a concern and continuing to open up other the admission of other countries refugees is simply ignoring what is occurring at the southern border of the country.

The growing number of unaccompanied minors coming to the southern border may take up the total number of refugees the USA normally takes every year.

Washington - The White House announced (click here) on Friday that President Biden would limit the number of refugees allowed into the United States this year to the historically low level set by the Trump administration, reversing an earlier promise to welcome more than 60,000 people fleeing war and persecution.

But the move to cap the number at 15,000 prompted such an immediate backlash from Democrats and human rights activists that the White House later retreated and promised to announce a final, increased number by May 15.

The White House press secretary, Jen Psaki, did not specify how many refugees would be allowed into the country, but she did say that Mr. Biden’s initial goal of welcoming 62,500 seemed “unlikely.”...

The vaccine companies need to file liable suit against Tucker Carlson.

Carlson has no background in medicine or medical research. He has no absolute data to back his lies. The vaccine companies have the ability to stop this assault on the American people by political right-wing propaganda.

The reason masks are still necessary is because the population of the USA is completely protected. I received both of my doses of Moderna COVID-19 and it is peace of mind that I didn't have before my vaccinations. The reason there are variants is that countries did not shut down the country to end the spread of the virus. If every country shut down as did New Zealand the global population would not be facing these problems today.

The previous administration never secured the shutdown that ended the spread in the early stages. If the USA was setting the example with an effective shutdown there would not be huge problem globally today.
