Physicians may want to start a study for atients sent home with COVID-19...

Besides oxygen in whatever method is most safe for the patient, send a prescription for prednisone with a dose that will last for the entire course of the virus and tapering doses into the recovery period after they test negative. Additionally, patients with co-morbidities, such as diabetes, may find a prophylactic dose of a broad-spectrum antibiotic such as Trimethoprim / Sulfamethoxazole.

I believe it would be helpful.

Antibiotic side effects can be countered with yogurt. There should be a standard dietary sheet to enforce the idea of eating healthy even though they are feeling poorly. Often, breathing problems are met with the refusal of nutrition because a person has to hold their breath when swallowing. Patients should understand they still have to maintain their nutrition even if through supplement drinks such as Boost or Ensure. Ensure can make great milkshakes, too. Sometimes it is more acceptable to sip nutrition during breathing problems.

It would speed diagnosis and ordering therapeutics if a physician can literally hand the patient recommendations that work in a package of therapeutics, including nutrition.

The vaccines are beginning their trials.

AstraZeneca Plc (click here) has resumed the US trial of its experimental Covid-19 vaccine after approval by regulators, and Johnson & Johnson is preparing to resume its trial on Monday or Tuesday, the companies said on Friday....

A really nice article by the Philadelphia Inquirer.

I think that is a great picture. No one is going to mess with that vote, her phone is the witness to her vote. Americans are taking this really seriously. Applause.

By early morning, (click here) three police officers already had visited the ballot drop box sitting on Virginia Avenue outside the Monroe Township Municipal Building, but they were there only to deposit their own New Jersey ballots.

“I’m undercover,” confided one, swinging by the box in an unmarked car with his yellow ballot envelope, explaining why he couldn’t give his name. He was bleary from an overnight job.

Joining them in the first few misty hours of daylight at the Gloucester County box were these voters: the assistant principal of Overbrook High, a supervisor for a juice company, a teacher on her way to Cherry Hill, a married pair of environmental cleanup specialists, a hairstylist, and Christina Toney, a bookkeeper, who said: “I just hope it’s safe. I hope we’re OK. Stressful times.”...

Job related deaths.

More than half of the 37 workplace-related deaths (click here) investigated by Michigan's regulators so far this year are linked to COVID-19.

Among the 19 individuals whose deaths are being investigated are an Ann Arbor bus driver and custodian, Lapeer and Adrian corrections officer, a Flint supply chain clerk, a Sturgis laborer as well as health care workers in Detroit, Battle Creek, Flint, Dearborn, Saginaw and Ann Arbor, according to the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

Six COVID-19 fatalities have been closed with no citations issued, according to state regulators....

These were early on in the pandemic. No doubt it was a matter of understanding the transmission which also includes exposure of eyes. The one death that causes concern the most is the bus driver. He got sick really fast and he was exposing others getting on and off the bus.

A 51-year-old Ann Arbor bus driver experienced virus symptoms while transporting passengers March 16. He called in sick the next day, was admitted to the hospital March 22 and died March 28, the same day he tested positive for COVID-19.

The youngest were in their 40s and the oldest in their 60s. Most became seriously ill and some died at home trying to see the virus course through. It really is a problem. The best place for these folks is the hospital and not home, but, the hospitals are overwhelmed so we are falling short of sufficient care for the people that contract the virus.

This oxygen tent could be applied to home therapy with an oxygen compressor or tanks of oxygen.

It is my understanding the virus causes oxygen depletion. There can be other issues with a person's health, but, the majority of patients are lacking sufficient oxygen to support their bodies. There is no reason EVERY patient at home should be in danger of insufficient oxygen. There is just simply no reason with technology that is this mobile. Americans can learn how to take care of themselves and report changes in their status by monitoring their oxygen saturation on a pulse ox that can be purchased at Amazon. This is home care capacity and should be issued to EVERY patient sent home to fight the virus.

I believe the people that died were welcome as employees and their employers did not have the ability to fully understand what to do to protect them or customers. It is a matter of innocence because they didn't act out of negligence. They didn't know they were negligent. These employers are innocent and they should be reviewed to have their fines returned.

In the case of health care workers, it was because PPE was at a premium and no hospital was sufficiently stocked. Sue the federal government and Trump personally for the sincere lack of response to this national emergency. I don't believe any hospital administrator deliberately withheld INFORMATION or EQUIPMENT. I think they took every life seriously. The lack of PPE was not their fault. I believe the best of all these employers UNLESS there are sincerely troubling facts stating there were deliberate decisions that placed people in danger. I don't believe that thinking existed, but, there always seems to be at least one bad apple.

I strongly believe the fines are unfair and it has nothing to do with any decision by a Michigan court. It is a matter of fairness in governance. It is a national emergency and I believe people act out of concern.

A list. How are teenagers getting a cache of guns?

This is at least the second young man intent on killing people, including those in leadership in the country. They are recruited by White Supremacists online. There need to be changes in the USA to limit this type of recruitment regardless of where in our society, online or in school parking lots. The recruitment of young men into violent hate groups has to end.

Dylann Roof was also a young man of 21 years old when he massacred church members while studying the Bible.

...White supremacists, (click here) particularly those in the organized portions of the white supremacist movement, engage in a wide variety of activities. These range from protests and demonstrations against things or people they dislike, to attempts to spread their messages and even recruit new adherents, to networking and social events. In addition, white supremacists from both the organized and unorganized sections of the white supremacist movement may engage in criminal activity that can range from minor hate crimes to major plots or acts of terrorism, as well as a wide range of non-ideological criminal activity as well....

It isn't the Boy Scouts. These young men are recruited with the understanding being a member is about hate and violence. There is no reason to afford them the First Amendment. The First Amendment rights in the USA is used to communicate, assemble and their Second Amendment rights are used to arm and plan violence against unwitting citizens and students. Why is this allowed? We are protecting nothing and providing a platform of hate and violence. There should be raids on members for the reason Alexander Treisman was allowed to plan the deaths of Americans.

A teenager who was arrested in North Carolina (click here) on child pornography charges this year had a van full of guns and drove within 4 miles of Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden's home with a checklist to "execute" him, authorities alleged.

The allegations against Alexander Treisman, 19, were documented in a detention order filed this month in U.S. District Court in Durham, North Carolina.

Treisman's white van was reported abandoned in the parking lot of a bank in Kannapolis, northeast of Charlotte, on May 28. Inside, responding officers found four rifles, including an AR-style Sig Sauer, a 9 mm handgun and $500,000 in cash that was believed to be his inheritance, the order states.

Two more handguns were later found hidden in Treisman's Honda, according to the documents.

Inside his van, police also found drawings of swastikas and planes crashing into buildings, as well as books about survival, bomb-making and Islam, the documents say....

The minimum wage is very important to any economy.

The Republicans always take the stand that raising the minimum wage increases the cost of doing business. Correct. The Democrats always focus and rightfully so on the American Dream. The Republicans are profit takers and focus on the Financial Sector. They are depriving the stockholder of greater profits.

Example:

John Doe wants to purchase his child a new bike but he hasn’t been able to because his family makes ends meet and live from paycheck to paycheck. There is no savings on $7.50 per hour. The bike John Doe wants to purchase will never be bought and won’t be made. Ever. His child will never know the joy of a new bike and the activity in his young life that bike brings.

A new federal policy is passed raising the minimum wage to $15.00 per hour over the next five years. Since Jane Doe also works for minimum wage when the new law kicks in they will no longer live for subsistence paycheck to paycheck they will have disposable income.

Young Child Doe can now look forward to a new bike for his birthday. That increased wage is the American Dream. In five years the Does will expand their buying capacity in the American economy. Multiple that by millions of Americans and that is called REAL GROWTH and not based in the number of newborns that year.

New bikes will be built, new cars will be financed, demand will increase and the profit to shareholders will be spread across a larger base of product production, but, there will be profit as the company now sells millions more new bikes with a smaller profit margin for each bike. Shareholders will experience greater payments.

There is a reason that Republican Trickle Down economies are bad for America. If the truth be known Trickle Down creates a two class system, the poor and the rich, just like every other Third World economy. Republican Trickle Down places the USA in the class of Third World Countries rather in the class where our allies exist.
