El Nino is robbing Earth of water vapor at a very high rate.
I have an app on my phone that shows the continuous visual of Earth's water vapor. I take daily images of the planet. This one in particular my provide some insight to the problems witnessed in Hawaii today.

We normally think of El Nino as equatorial waters further south on the face of Earth, but, I found this rather worrisome when I viewed it. That is a very heavy, dense cloud of water vapor traveling across the Pacific. It may be responsible for some of the drought witnessed in Hawaii today.
