It is terrifying for anyone. The entire paradigm plays into the resistance. It would be one thing if mistakes were met with a humane process, but, the chance of real harm exists.
This woman has had loss by the sheer stopping of her vehicle. The people surrounding her life suffer trauma as well. The people on the roadway suffer trauma, too.
There is no military style weapons and the side arm is secured without intent of using it. But, the harm goes well beyond physical harm and mental health trauma, it impacts the very life style affiliated with the way Americans conduct their lives in order to remain on the lawful side of the Rule of Law.
Americans are well balanced between a life that is humanly manageable and reasonably enjoyable and crossing a line that creates peril be it legal and/or financial.
That said, there is the issue of detainment vs. jail. There is a huge difference and there are problems with people being shuffled around and attorneys unable to locate their client. Entering detention is a slippery slope of the loss of Due Process.
In my opinion, detention is the exact same depersonalization of an enemy on the battlefield. If an American citizen enters this paradigm they lose a great deal of their foothold on a quality of life they may never get back. That result is criminal.
“The Free World” has sacrificed blood and treasure for decades if not centuries to grow CIVILIZATION. A person being born into an American experience is protected from their first breath from death and disease. That is not haphazard. Their lives are treasured. Poverty, mistreatment, and disparity of equal treatment and opportunity are real and are an agenda. But, Trump simply disregards civilization for his own enrichment scoffing up assets belonging to generations of Americans past to be inherited by their children.
This TAKING of an American citizen is done without a warrant. She is never told what she is charged with and is threatened with at the very least property damage at her expense if she doesn’t cooperate. She is man handled. The Sheriff attempting to reason with her to blunt the power of the gang of men she is facing would never get away with even the traffic stop. There has to be an obvious reason, like speeding, for a civilized officer to even stop the car.
Kristi Noem oversees inhumanity both in her agents and her facilities. She does not discern even the most minor of human needs. Her cabinet level department is suppose to uphold national security not threaten the very life of this country’s citizens with harm, death, or lifestyle failure. The methodology, even approved by Kavanaugh, is gross malpractice of all along the way including Trump.
This is outrageous and every Republican Congressperson should be ashamed of the chaos and calamity they are allowing domestically and internationally. For the first time in history Israel is even terrified of the USA and a runaway administration.
