Stopping drug boats is the job of the USA Coast Guard, not the USA military.

The Coast Guard has been doing this since there were boats to chase and drugs to apprehend. The point is those opposing Trump need to take on this issue. It isn't as though anyone in the country wants to have street drugs effecting innocent lives, but, there are bigger problems domestically without proper address by the federal government.

Methamphetamines and Hash Hish are domestic issues. I would think addressing the illegal manufacture of Hash Hish (AKA Hash) would be a concern of the newly minted legal Marijuana industry. Those WITH READABLE AND TRASNPARENT POLICIES AND PROGRAMS may even get financial backing for their elections.

Narcan is vital to saving lives, however, there is nothing like preventing the danger in the first place. The video at the click below is from 2024.

Washington (AP) - The U.S. military (click here) attacked a boat suspected of being used to smuggle drugs in the Caribbean Sea on Saturday, killing four people, as the Trump administration continues its monthslong campaign against alleged traffickers in Latin America.

The latest attack brings the number of people who have been killed in boat strikes by the U.S. military to at least 231 in 69 strikes since the Trump administration began targeting those it calls “narcoterrorists” almost a year ago. As with most of the military’s statements on strikes in the eastern Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Sea, U.S. Southern Command said it targeted the alleged drug traffickers along known smuggling routes.

The military did not provide evidence that the vessel was ferrying drugs. A video posted on X showed an image of what appeared to be a moving boat followed by a flash....

They haven't given it a name?

The Governors involved should feel free to name the storm. It is easier in the long run for people to remember such trauma with a name and relay it to efforts to rebuild later. 

Not terribly long ago Superstorm Sandy came to visit resulting in very similar damage. The then President Obama would ride in a helicopter with the former Governor Chris Christi touring the aftermath. Trump simply doesn't want photos with Democratic Governors and that is why it is easier to ignore it and let others deal with the damage. FEMA should already be engaged. The Coast Guard needs to be saving lives when the wind allows it and the seas won't over turn their boats.
