Amman — A senior official (click here) has brushed off news reports claiming Israeli officials have threatened to cut off water to the Kingdom after Amman declared that it would cancel two annexes of the peace treaty between the two sides.
He said that Jordanian-Israeli water affairs and cooperation are governed by binding bilateral agreements, the source said on Tuesday.
Water relations between Jordan and Israel are governed and organised under the 1994 Jordan-Israel peace treaty, which guarantees Jordan “an equitable share of water from the Yarmouk and Jordan rivers,” the senior government official said.
Media reports said that Israeli agriculture minister Uri Ariel threatened on Monday to suspend water supply to Jordan, attributing the threat to stop water pumping to Jordan to His Majesty King Abdullah’s decision to terminate the Baqoura and Ghumar annexes in the peace treaty.
“The agreements governing water affairs between the two countries are intact. We didn’t receive any official communication from the Israeli side on the matter of water sharing, nor are we concerned with any threat,” the official told The Jordan Times....

Who wants war with a country so densely invested in infrastructure projects?
China seeks to disable war rather than confront it to the point of mutual assured destruction.
American's might remember the "Chinese Spy Plane" incident. The plane was sent back to the USA in pieces after China dismantled it and studied it. The USA is foolish to believe millions of tons of destructive missiles is actually going to matter in the future.

Zhuhai, China — China's President Xi Jinping (click here) officially opened the world's longest sea bridge connecting Hong Kong, Macau and mainland China on Tuesday, at a time when Beijing is tightening its grip on its semi-autonomous territories.
The 55-kilometre crossing, which includes a snaking road bridge and underwater tunnel, links Hong Kong with the southern mainland city of Zhuhai and the gambling enclave of Macau, across the waters of the Pearl River Estuary.
Xi presided over an inauguration ceremony attended by Hong Kong's and Macau's city leaders at a new port terminal in Zhuhai.
"I declare the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau bridge officially open," Xi said in a one-line address, as digital fireworks exploded on a screen behind him at the indoor ceremony, before leaving the stage immediately....
The elimination of the Intermediate Range Missile Treaty to opt for nuclear proliferation is pure idiocy. We have here before. A long time ago the USA had so many nuclear weapons along with Russia there was assured mutual destruction. And not just once, but, the two countries had enough nuclear weapons to kill each other thousands of times their population.
Donald Trump just kissed Vladimir Putin’s ring and swallowed hard. Trump is selling out the country and no is coming forward to stop him. All this for a judge on the Supreme Court? The Republicans are living in denial of reality and Putin continues to encroach on Europe as if no sees it.
Here is something to worry about. The Chinese has studied the USA air power and have decided building bigger and more deadly weapons isn't the way to thwart USA aircraft.

The Chinese Air Force (click here) is building a mystery missile designed to turn the tables on America's air power advantage.
The weapon, tentatively known as PL-XX, is a very-long-range missile designed to strike enemy aircraft loitering just beyond the edge of an air battle. The point is to shoot down the tankers, airborne early warning planes, and other support aircraft that U.S. combat jets rely upon during wartime. Stripped of these forces, U.S. air power would operate at a serious disadvantage, shifting the air battle in China’s favor.
The new missile, spotted in 2016 at the Zhuhai Air Show, is the subject of a new article at Aviation Week & Space Technology. PL-XX carries the typical "PL" designation common to Chinese air-to-air missiles. At 18 feet long, PL-XX is thought to have a range exceeding 100 miles, the typical maximum range of air-to-air missiles....

The drop in the stock market, "The Dow," is real and has nothing to do with political sentiment. Could be tariffs?
The Nasdaq has also been down for the past two days or more. The Nasdaq is where technology stocks exist. There has been a lot of disillusionment about the promise of technology stocks in recent weeks. So the downturn is predictable by simply listening to the news.
But, the industrials are sinking to some extent because of real losses and higher costs. Costs go up because of tariffs, the price of products go up and with industries like Caterpillar, those increases are not minor or absorbable. They are massive products that consume a lot of steel and there are tariffs in every country to inhibit imports, including steel.
Trump placed tariffs on 186 countries. That is not about promoting or protecting American products. Trump and his financial minions believe they can pay the deficit and debt with tariffs. That will only be temporary and we are now seeing real problems for real companies. This is permanent damage. Tariffs are not a fleeting thing and are designed to do damage to imports to protect American products. 186 countries? Really? That is not a scheme to protect American products, that is a LARGE DEGREE OF HOPE Trump could eliminate taxes and the let the rest of the world pay USA debts. Remember the laughter at the United Nations?
The downturn is measurable and real and has absolutely nothing to do with political fodder.

George Soros has been maliciously maligned by the Republicans for weeks now, especially the likes of Rudy Guiliani. Most everyone who observes politics in the USA knows the right wing always becomes violent in one way or another when presented with issues full of anger. This is antisemitism at it's worse in the USA and it was definitely lead by Rudy Guiliani.
It is good to know the police are as good as they are and detonated the device before it could injure or kill anyone. I am glad George Soros is safe.
