The strongest earthquake in 20 years (click here) shook a large swath of Southern California and parts of Nevada on Thursday, rattling nerves on the July 4th holiday and causing injuries and damage in a town near the epicenter, followed by a swarm of ongoing aftershocks.
The 6.4 magnitude quake struck at 10:33 a.m. in the Mojave Desert, about 150 miles northeast of Los Angeles, near the town of Ridgecrest, California....
No matter how popular the idea of having a USA citizen question is on the US Census form, an executive order cannot change the USA Constitution.
We have been here before. An amendment is the only mechanism available to the American people to change the USA Constitution.

President Donald Trump (click here) attacked House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., on Wednesday for his opposition to a presidential executive order ending birthright citizenship for the children of parents not legally in the United States.
"Paul Ryan should be focusing on holding the Majority rather than giving his opinions on Birthright Citizenship, something he knows nothing about!" Trump tweeted.
Trump doesn't seem to know a whole lot more about executive orders and how they relate to constitutional rights....
The process of an amendment can begin by Congress at any time, but, it is a lengthy process which includes listing it on a ballot for a vote BY THE PEOPLE.
Popular polls, no matter how scientific they are, don't include an education process of the people so they know what they are approving in an amendment.
A healthy majority of American people may believe today they want the question on the official US Census. But, that may very well change when they realize the extent this question weighs on their Congressional District. The idea of a USA Citizen question is ideal. In practice, most Congressional Districts would reject the ideology once they realize the impact such a question would play in increasing taxes and apportioning US House representatives.
NORMALLY, a census would reassign congressional representation based on GROWTH and not because of legal actions like deportation.
This is how ridiculous the focus of Trump has become. This is from PEW.
Roughly half (45%) of the nation’s 44.4 million immigrants (click here) live in just three states: California (24%), Texas (11%) and New York (10%). California had the largest immigrant population of any state in 2017, at 10.6 million. Texas and New York had more than 4.5 million immigrants each.
In terms of regions, about two-thirds of immigrants lived in the West (34%) and South (33%). Roughly one-fifth lived in the Northeast (21%) and 11% were in the Midwest.
In 2017, most immigrants lived in just 20 major metropolitan areas, with the largest populations in New York, Los Angeles and Miami. These top 20 metro areas were home to 28.7 million immigrants, or 65% of the nation’s total. Most of the nation’s unauthorized immigrant population lived in these top metro areas as well.
This is a map of the flow of money to the federal government and then redistributed to states. New York State is a donor state. It receives far less money from the federal government than it sends to the USA treasury. Why upset what works? New York State has a significant amount of farming interests. It is time to realize immigrants, the ones that carry out the majority of the USA's agricultural harvest are important people.

Most states get more money back from the federal government than they pay out. But 10 states, shown below in red, give more than they receive.
Donald Trump's hate filled words are about politics and power, not what is best for the American people and the country. The elections of 2020 has to be about competent government and meaningful governance. These issues are not simple and it is time the Trump White House stops playing politics with human lives in the balance.

It is called misappropriation of funds and is unethical if not illegal.
