The truth

This is a true story of real people and the victim is older than 55 and retired in the USA. This is a national shame to have our people, majority is elderly women, so ready to help that they don't discern reality from fraud. On the other hand, fraud wouldn't exist if it weren't successful. So, is she to blame for this episode in her life. I don't think so. She was willing to be loved by a man that should be admirable. A surgeon, working with a team of professionals in a dangerous part of the world.

She also faced a website that functions as a real world entity and unless she knew to check the social page for real links, there was no reason to question whether this was a real company or not. The victim was in love and operating within an online environment that for all intent and purpose was real and responding to her as it should.

She is fine. Wilfred? Well. No one knows for sure. If he is injured the victim hopes he will be okay, but, she can't trust him after this and will never know if he ever recovered.

No matter how fraudulent the episode, the Stockholm Syndrome makes it real to the victim.

Good night.

At this point the victim is convinced she is facing peril.

She, being an American, turns to another authority to relay what is going on. She had no interest in becoming a criminal for the man that she was supposed to marry. She writes to the German Ambassador in UAE (United Arab Emerites). She also wrote to the tariff chief at Dubai International Airport. She never heard from the tarrif chief, but, the embassy wrote back:

Thank you very much for the information. Please supply me with the mail you received informing you thta the parcel is withheld with customs in Dubai as well as the Dubai Customs file number.

Best regards

Goetz Roessner

She complies with the request and recieves an email in return:

We will do the needful in close cooperation with Dubai police. Please do not answer to any further e-mails related to the parcel or Mr. Wilfred (last name).

We have strong doubts in the credibility of the matter and Dubai Police, sharing our doubts, will take up investigations.

Best regards

Goetz Roessner

That is the last of the contact with Romeo, the German Embassy and the Dubai Police. She turned over the criminal activity which of course is fraud and she is fine as best she knows. There has been no contact by any authority regarding this matter.

I pays to be honest in all matters and to work with authorities to end fraud and hopefully send criminals to prison.

Aren't you terrified, because, the victim was.

She writes back to the shipping company:

I did not know what he was shipping. I do not have that kind of money. He was sending money to me to assist with his daughter (name) in a hospital in Turkey. But, he also said it was a Valentines Day gift for the wedding. He currently is injured and is convalescing at a home.

Since my name is included in this small mess, kindly use whatever cash was there and pay the cost of whatever is yo be paid.

I am sorry about this. Wilfred should not have been so secretive. I don’t think it was intentional. Kindly proceed with the cost and complete delivery.

Thank you,

Victim's name

A copy of that email makes it to Wilfred and he scoulds the victim that she knew full well what was in the box. In other words, not that the authorities know what is in the box, she is as guilty as he is, so she better shape up and cover for him.

It isn't as though she didn't know what was in the box, but, she was stuck in the middle and wasn't aware of the shipment at all until it was sent. Twice if considering the change in carriers/couriers.

It is amazing how needy these people are and the victim is the only one that can "carry on" to besure it all happens right. Romeo is injured. His daughter is in the hospital. The only one without some kind of infirmity is the victim. It could be argued at this point the victim's infirmity is her naive nature as to this being a fraud.

This is the next email from the company:

We haven't receive any information from you regarding clearance of the assigned package shipment to you.
Tomorrow night, Wednesday 16th of February 2022, will be the last day to apply for the clearance of your package by paying the duty fees, failure to do as mentioned above will totally terminate your name and your package details from our database and you will be ban from shipping with us worldwide.

Your Sincerely
Bert Giggs.
Fines, Penalties Officer.

Confounded by the entier mess this is the reply to the content above:

To whom it may concern,
I don't have the money to pay the $4400 the Dubai security people are
asking. They will have to take it out of the monies in the boxes.
(the sender)
is an orthopedic surgeon and was in Somali to work
with the UN Mission. They are closing the mission. He was injured at
the airport where you picked up the boxes. I don't know how he was
injured and except for the email, have no idea where he is and now he
is saying this left leg is starting to bleed atain. I don't know what
that means, but, it doesn't sound like a broken leg so much as an
injury that is open and he is trying to heal. He is not much more than
a tourist. He is not an international criminal. People need to take
pity on his circumstances and provide relief so the rest of the
shipment (after removing $4400) can complete the route to me. That
box, evidently, is the best hope I have of bringing his daughter
(name)
here to me in the US. Anything that can be done to resolve this in
Wilfred's favor will be appreciated. I don't know what else to do.
Thank you,

 The victim

Below is the reply from the company:

Your email is well received. It is illegal and criminal offense for any courier company, customs or police officer to open a customer package and remove/deduct cash or any other item's, it is a serious crime.

We can provide you details to pay the penalty fees in the USA that is the best we can do. We also haven't get any respond from Mr. Wilfred (last name) so far today. He only sent a message that those items are valentine surprised for his fiancée and not a stolen items.

It's very important you pay the duty penalty fees within the next 4 working days else the items will be confiscated.

Your Sincerely
Bert Giggs.
Fines, Penalties Officer.

The entire episode is about money that is going to make the victim's life easier until the tables are turned and in order for her to stay out of trouble she has to pay the $4400.00 USD. The pressure to perform is really extreme. Here a woman that doesn't even travel is burdened by a perfect stranger really and short of being a lawyer and knowing what to do with this disaster of an episode, she relies further on a shipping company's personnel that she has no knowledge of, but, they seem to know more than she.

The trials and tribulations of the package continues.

The package makes it to Dubai International Airport. What could possibly go wrong now?

Items on hold at Dubai International Airport waiting for clearance.

Time is running and there is no movement of the package. So, the vicitm writes to the company about what might be delaying the package. Romeo states she should do this until the package moves because it is probably sitting on a shelf and no one is paying attention to it.

The company writes back (names removed to protect the identities) :

Your email is well received. We have been trying to reach you on your telephone number about some few hours ago just to inform you about your seized package.
Your expected package were reexamined at the transit warehouse in Dubai International Airport, the detailed list of the goods inside the package was above what (the sender) declared to our office agent.

According to the Dubai Customs, the box containing jewelry's has a hidden compartment with extra melted gold of 800gram worth $43,000usd was not declared during the shipment.
Also a physical cash amounted to few thousands United states dollar was also found with a letter and message card in the hidden compartment.

Billions of dollars’ worth of gold is being smuggled out of Africa every year through the United Arab Emirates in the Middle East – a gateway to markets in Europe, the United States and beyond – a Reuters analysis has found.

Shipper's or Traveler's are required to declare cash, precious metals  or any other financial instrument exceeding Dh100,000, under the decrees 617/7 of 2001G and 157/12 of 2002G of Dubai customs prohibited act.
Defaulter's are required to pay 10% of the prohibited items within 3 to 5 working days or face criminal charges and items confiscate.

Inline with our shipment regulations, Dubai Customs Services and the United States Trade Act of 2002 and the Customs Modernization Act, (the sender and receiver) are required to pay a duty fees of $4,400 USD as penalty for the none declaration of the shipped undeclared gold and cash amount above $10,000usd. Immediately the payment is done, we will continue with the shipment and delivery of the items to your door step by 14th of February 2022.
Non-compliance with the penalty law will result in confiscation of the entire shipped items in the UAE and probably blacklist your names from shipping worldwide through the Interpol.

We always encourage and even require customers to ship only declared and legal items. We hope you act promptly to avoid confiscation of the seized items.

Your Sincerely
Bert Giggs.
Fines, Penalties Officer.

The package

Previous to the packing making it out of Somalia there is a nice touch added to the details. It would seem as though the package had to be sent by a different carrier.

Hello, sweetheart, how are you doing? I hope everything is alright, we had to change the Correa (carrier) service because they were wasting too much time, it has been sent and you will receive on Saturday. I miss you my love and wish I could hold you. It has been very cold for me, but, thoughts of you makes me strong. I love you with all that is in me and here is the new tracking number and website.

The package leaves the airport in Somalia where it has been waiting for 2 days to move forward. The victim is wondering what the problem is and why the package is not moving and Romeo continues to state not to worry it will be processed and it will be delivered on time.

The story goes like this:

The victim receives and email from Romeo number 2. He states he and his peers on duty at the medical facility in Mogadishu are sitting around shooting the breeze when all of a sudden there is an explosion on the opposite side of the compound wall. Alarmed and worried as Romeo and his team decided to find out if someone was hurt or there was just a big crater in the Earth.

When they get to the place where the explosion took place there was debris everywhere, but, in the corner is a big tin box that survived the explosion. The three "on duty" medical personnel set the box upright and they notice there is a door that is damaged but partially open. They open the door the rest of the way and low and behold, there is money and gold inside.

They take the contents which no one witnessed but themselves and before any authority arrives they make it back to the medical compound and stow the cash and gold in a locker and place a padlock on the locker. Later that night, the three open the locker and equally divide up the cash (US by the way) and gold.

Romeo has taken his share and placed it in a locked box along with some trivial stuff and is shipping it to the victim for processing. Placing the cash in a bank account would be a good thing and then taking the gold and selling it would produce more money and that can go in the bank account, too.

The victim is astounded by the email and types in the tracking code and wow, there really is such a package. She writes to Romeo and he tells her it will be to her by Valentine's Day and she should buy an engagement ring with it. She is skeptical, but, can't argue there is a shipment staring at her in the fact handled by a company that handles military stuff. Sounds interesting and the package is already on the way.

GMD2179231 is actually this document.

I tried to erase the personal information except for the fraudster's first name. I don't claim to operate the eraser well. But, I think I succeeded.

Now on that same page...

...go to Tracking and type in GMD2179231.

Now go to the bottom of the page and click on any of the links.

They are dummy links. That was pointed out to me as a reason to be very, very skeptical of a company that one knows nothing about. But, it says military delivery. They must know what they are doing right? Go ahead click on them. I just did to make sure nothing had changed and they didn't open to any page other than the one they appear on.

This is why I believe there is a significant party behind these attacks on Americans and their generous spirt.

Go ahead take a look.

A six week retirement. Can football ever get by without Tom Brady?

It looks like the first round pick for the Bucs is Tom Brady. (click here) Anyone find out how much money it took to bring him back? A piece of the franchise, maybe?

Tom Brady isn’t finished after all. (click here)

Just more than a month after he announced plans to retire, the seven-time Super Bowl-champion quarterback announced on Sunday that he actually will return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the 2022 season, his 23rd in the NFL.

He announced the news on social media with a statement that read, “These past two months I’ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now. I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. They make it all possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. Unfinished business LFG.”...

I believe International Women's Day was Tuesday, March 85th, yes?

USA House of Representatives Speaker of the House had a really great event for Women's History Month. Is there a grandmother anywhere in the USA that doesn't deserve to be recognized for their patriot spirit and contribution to the country?

Hi

The world has gotten to be a strange and unpredictable place. If it's climate it is a global pandemic. If it isnt' a global pandemic, it is Russia being stupid. I can't believe Putin did this. It is so upsetting to realize how completely out of control his rule of Russia has become.

Putin's place in all the violence in Ukraine and the deaths only goes to prove no man should have nuclera power at his fingertips forever.

What is so shocking about the invasion into Ukraine is the reckless abandon of all these civilian attacks and deaths. Insurgents will happen even if the entire country was emptied in time for the first tank to roll across the border. There is no military strategy that permits this level of destruction or a kill at will order. I don't understand why this has been so bloody and damaging to families. There is no excuse. This was about the worst insult to human life the world has witnessed in a long time.

This is a story out of California of the depth to which the American Ukranian community is feeling these attacks by Russia, Putin in particular. It proves that love of family runs deep and the willingness to be a part of survival runs deeper, especially when there are children involved.

There was no debate. No wavering. No pleading. (click here)

The day the Russians invaded Ukraine, the Rev. Petro Dyachok knew that his wife, Natalya , had only one choice: to go back to their homeland. Their 31-year-old daughter, a registered nurse raising her two children there, refused to leave her husband who was preparing to fight. Natalya needed to be with them.

“I said, ‘I can’t close your Ukrainian heart’,” said Dyachok, 55, “and in one day I had a ticket for her.”

As images fill the news of millions of women and children fleeing Ukraine — and the horrors of some young families not making it out alive — others like Natalya Dyachok are defying the dangers and heading in.

Her husband wanted to join her, but his congregations in Santa Clara and in San Francisco are struggling with their own fears for relatives caught in Ukraine and needed him, too....

100,000 children orphaned by Putin's war secluded in basements in Kyiv.

About 5000 of those Kyiv orphans are disabled. The shelling has cut off all routes out of the city.

Tikva, which means hope in Hebrew, evacuated 300 children, 80 staff and 150 families from its orphanage in Odessa, Ukraine – first to Moldova and then to Romania.

Russia's invasion of Ukraine has led to the fastest-growing refugee crisis in Europe since World War II, according to the United Nations.

On a night two weeks ago (click here) in southwest Ukraine, children inside a Jewish orphanage felt the ground shake and watched lights eerily flicker.

Bombs were falling just a mile from their home, shattering their safe world and sending them fleeing into the darkness.

The children, most in their pajamas and without shoes, rushed out of the orphanage and squeezed onto buses to make their way to the Moldova border as the Russian military launched its invasion of Ukraine. The journey, which eventually took the children to Romania, left them in tears and confusion: Where would they call home now?...

The Russians are kidnapping mayors of cities in Ukraine. The mayors of these cities are not militia leaders as they were under Yanukovych.  There is no reason to torture them so much as hold them as well fed POWs.

Livi is where peace is supposed to be enforced. It is also on the way to Poland. NATO needs to be at readiness when the Russians decide to enter Poland to prevent supplies and escape routes from reaching the Ukrainian people.

Mary 13, 2022

Mukachevo, Ukraine - At least 35 people were killed and 134 injured (click here) early Sunday when a barrage of Russian missiles slammed into a military facility in western Ukraine about 15 miles from the border with Poland, a NATO member. Separately, Ukrainian officials said an American journalist, Brent Renaud, was fatally shot while reporting outside of Kyiv.

The Yavoriv military range near Lviv, also known as the International Peacekeeping and Security Center, has for years been used for exercises by NATO troops and Ukrainians, with Americans on-site as recently as February. Members of the Florida Army National Guard trained there with Ukrainian forces as recently as February, during the buildup to the Russian invasion.

The airstrike came a day after the Kremlin warned that it viewed Western weapons shipments as “legitimate targets,” heightening the possibility of a direct conflict with the West. White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that the bombing did not come as a surprise given U.S. warnings that Russia planned to attack all of Ukraine. He reiterated that U.S. forces would not be fighting Russian troops in Ukraine but that they would “defend every inch of NATO territory.”...

When removing eastern Ukraine and Crimea, the Russian gains are minimal. Russia has been assaulting Ukriane since 2014 with it's weapons, so the idea Ukraine needs to stop receiving munitions from anyone to assist in it's defense is at the very least a double standard. Russia would say it is just good business, therefore, same here.

Ukraine is not only dangerous, it is deadly. It is a no go zone.

We have lost journalists before in Iraq because they pushed the boundaries too far. Well known boundaries as defined by the Geneva Conventions are not applied by Russia. Putin believes the international order and laws hem him in. He feels hemmed in because the Russian military is unable to fight, so much as kill and only kill in large swaths of area. A missile serves as the best Russian soldier. His conventional forces of men and machines are not capable of doing sincere textbook warfare.

Russia's method to war is nothing short of barbaric.

March 13, 2022

Brent Renaud (click here) is an American film director and winner of the Peabody and DuPont Awards.

An American journalist (click here) was killed and another wounded by Russian forces in Irpen near the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv, the Kyiv Region Police head said Sunday.

The killed journalist was identified by Ukrainian police as Brent Renaud, a 51-year-old journalist, filmmaker and US citizen. While Ukrainian authorities initially identified Renaud as a The New York Times correspondent, he was not in Ukraine reporting on behalf of The Times.

"We are deeply saddened to hear of Brent Renaud's death. Brent was a talented filmmaker who had contributed to The New York Times over the years," read a statement from the outlet. "Though he had contributed to The Times in the past (most recently in 2015), he was not on assignment for any desk at The Times in Ukraine. Early reports that he worked for Times circulated because he was wearing a Times press badge that had been issued for an assignment many years ago."...

There is no god in Russia.

Russia is a rouge country. They have used phosphorus before. If there is any kind of weaponry banned Putin doesn't care.

Putin uses other kinds of incendiary weapons, such as thermite. When the US banned incidiary weapons on civilians, the UN drafted a treaty. Russia signed that treaty. Russia likes to appear to be a benevolent country when in fact it is a rouge country that disregards international order.

The communists like to see "stable states," but, if it serves their purpose to destroy and kill, they will do it.
