The Congress of 2009-10 was a gift the people of the USA needed to address healthcare. Those majorities rarely happen. It is frightening to think this USA Senate will sacrifice the one opportunity we have been given by the grace of the people of this country too secure our democracy for today and the future.
The Democrats will not have a clear majority this upcoming session of Congress. There are at least 44 secure Republican seats. That is four short of a two-thirds majority. The filibuster has to end.
The new rules for this Congress, both House and Senate, are clear. The new rules for this Congress has to reflect the processes going forward to end the corruption of the Executive Branch. There is no alternative. If Republicans pledge to vote to allow the 60 needed votes to go through, do not believe them.
Donald John Trump and his administration are the grime reapers of the modern era. There is no turning away from the responsibilities assigned the Democrats elected to office.
Citizens of this country have died for the next Congress to correct the course of the country. There are people deported from this country before their pleadings could be heard. They are in prisons and some may have died. The detention facilities in the USA have become death traps. There are families separated. There are children adopted from those separated families into the Adoption Industry in the USA. There are human rights abuses all over the world. People have died from the new Trump Virus, defunding of life giving programs.
There are war fronts everywhere begun by the Trump administration. He has furthered the war in the Middle East, both through aggression toward Iran and a well supplied Israeli military. Israel has turned from those wars as well. The Israeli people have a different Prime Minister and there is every indication he will not be the blood thirsty man that Netanyahu became. There are no real venues of peace form the Trump administration. There are still missiles being launched at Kharg Island.
Trump has been promising all sorts of strong man initiatives, including those of the Iranian people and with the death of their Ayatollah and the slaughter of the girls. The Iranian people have turned against the USA and Trump is now reviled.
Every diplomatic effort by the Trump administration ends with graft of one kind or another for him and his family. He not only took graft from others, he exploited his power as president to take millions if not billions from USA companies. These weren't fines to pay grievances the people had with Wall Street, this was blatant graft. The Trump family has not only profited from the president's power, they are openly befriending our enemies in hopes of more exploitation.
Then there is Ukraine.
Then there is NATO.
The national security of the United States of America has been on the auction block with this president and it continues.
These actions by Trump and his administration for two very long years warrants the Rule of Law to ensure this never happens again. Trump was a criminal when he was elected and there is every indication he is going to continue on that path with only raw power between him and his fate. His minions are just as invested.
