Speaker Boehner needs to stay where he is and revert the House back to regular order. The USA and Russia are in combat with different strategies. We can't afford the circus that occurred today.

This is ridiculous.

I am quite sure Israel is checking and double checking their missile shields.

Escalating this will not solve anything. I remind the military effort by Russia has permission and is meeting in Baghdad.

The Middle East has it's own problems that needs to be solved without escalation of tensions or military aggression. The USA does not have the capacity to fight a regional war. Right now the USA is in Afghanistan, involved with NATO that is worried about Ukraine and in support of the Arab Coalition. The idea anyone is going to escalate war is nonsense. Saudi Arabia has issues with terrorists and the aggression of the Houthis in Yemen.

No one needs arm chair generals!

Quite frankly, the region needs Russia and it's troops as Iran is involved. The USA does not have ties to Iran and Russia does. Russia has already warned Iran about their menacing in Yemen. Russia is not there to prop up anyone so much lend a hand in ending the instability.

Everyone belongs at the UN Security Council. There is also the issue with Europe and the migrations. There are too many scenarios to increase aggression in the region and there are the scenarios no one expects, too. Israel needs to behave, too. Every country has legitimate defense rights, but, not the aggression that has potential to disaster.
The statement by Ben Carson about children and young people being their own authority to rush a gunman is Republican SOP.

It is no different than his statements about children being raised by heterosexual couples. It is Republican SOP.

He is trying to push himself over the domination of Trump. Ben Carson delivers the SOP differently than the forceful SOP. His words soften the SOP with a very humble delivery.  What is it all the television media uses???....some kind performance? Oh, yeah, performance art. I think we've seen it before when the pizza guy was running and he had those bizarre You Tube videos. Performance Art.

The idea anyone could train young people and children to be their own authority to rush a gunman is completely irresponsible and stupid. It is an excuse of finding a way to make the idea people have control over guns so they don't need gun control.

The children who's lives Ben Carson saved is suppose to stand in defiance of a gunman and hope to live longer. I don't think so. It is performance are and nothing more. It only proves how perverse the Republican party absolutely is.

I find it odd Ben Carson would reject his single parent upbringing for a heterosexual couple for all American children.

Dr. Benjamin Carson is director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Children's Center. His expertise includes separating conjoined twins and doing brain surgery to control seizures. A scholarship fund Carson founded has helped some 1,700 students through college. His mother is retired and lives with Carson and his family.

The simplest way to say it is this: I believe in my mother....

...My mother was a domestic. (click here) Through her work, she observed that successful people spent a lot more time reading than they did watching television. She announced that my brother and I could only watch two to three pre-selected TV programs during the week. With our free time, we had to read two books each from the Detroit Public Library and submit to her written book reports. She would mark them up with check marks and highlights. Years later we realized her marks were a ruse. My mother was illiterate; she had only received a third-grade education.
Although we had no money, between the covers of those books, I could go anywhere, do anything and be anybody....
"Walter" is a nice man and has his heart in the right place. He takes this country seriously. Very nice. "The Liberty Caucus." (click here) I thought so. There is Senator Paul. This Caucus has been around for a long time.

Founded in 1991, it is the oldest continuously-operating organization within the Liberty Republican movement.

Because we are a 100% grassroots organization and elections are one of the primary reasons our members attend our biennial convention, I thought it important to make the membership aware of this important development.

The Liberty Caucus is not playing with issues important to the people.

Over at Cato’s Police Misconduct website, (click here) we have identified the worst case for the month of September.  This one goes to the Chicago Police Department, and, in particular, to the officers responsible for arresting George Roberts....

The Freedom Caucasus is new, brand new.

House GOP conservatives (click here) announced a new "Freedom Caucus" on Monday to split from the Republican Study Committee (RSC) after complaints that it had become too cozy with leadership.

The nine founding members of the group have been frequent thorns in the side of House GOP leadership over the past four years. Many of them voted against giving John Boehner (R-Ohio) another term as Speaker earlier this month....

They are the folks that refuse to governor, but, only oppose.

The GOP is very divided. The only comparison I have is to state, the Democrats are divided as well, but, the caucuses get along to move forward the business of the people.

The Freedom Caucus doesn't seem to have their own website. Here it is again. Their agenda is their only focus. They are hardliners that haven't learned what power is. They believe their objection to everything is to be the only outcomes.

A conservative lawmaker publicly (click here) resigned from the House Freedom Caucus on Wednesday, and criticized the group's tactics — including its demands that funds for Planned Parenthood be blocked as part of a bill to keep the government open.
Rep. Tom McClintock (R-Calif.) said that the tactics employed by the Freedom Caucus "have repeatedly undermined the House’s ability to advance them."
Besides the Planned Parenthood fight, he cited as examples the fight over funding the Department of Homeland Security earlier this year, and battles over the fast-track trade package and the Iran nuclear deal.
The fight over Planned Parenthood risks a government shutdown on Oct. 1 — it is unclear how the House GOP will move a spending bill given the demands from conservative lawmakers.
McClintock said the Freedom Caucus's strategy has ultimately empowered Democrats by making it harder for House Republicans to control the legislative process....

They flail around trying to find a foot hold and ultimately obstruct the business of the people. This is a list of the members from Wikipedia. I expected to see Steve Scalise. He is not listed.

They don't understand power and they don't accept leadership. That is the problem and they are chronically throwing obstruction into the process and nothing gets done. They put their party first and dissolve any obligation to the people of this country.

This country is not made up of 38 House districts. The members of Congress have a responsibility to this entire country. Each person in each district is important. The people expect Congress to function. The Freedom Caucus is too divisive.

I might point out Kevin McCarthy stated the reason he removed his name from the Speakership was because their politics were compromised.

That should not be an issue. The Benghazi Committee should not be interrupting the placement of the third person in line to the Presidency. There has to be a protest to this mess.

In the very same moment Kevin McCarthy resigned his name for the Speakership another member of  that caucus stated, there is new information stating Hillery Clinton was selling influence to Syndey Blumenthal.

Hillary Clinton did not order the strikes into Libya. President Obama did. These accusations about the former Secretary are ridiculous and she was not holding the strings to the Obama puppet.

A trove of emails (click here) that the State Department gave the House Select Committee on Benghazi only two weeks ago show that longtime Hillary Clinton friend Sidney Blumenthal pushed his business interests in Libya on the then-secretary of state and that she forwarded an email discussing a CIA source which was classified at the time it was sent.

That’s according to House Select Committee on Benghazi chairman Trey Gowdy, who stated in a letter sent Thursday to Maryland Rep. Elijah Cummings that he plans to release the 1,500 emails within the next five days....

Mr. Blumenthal has been a long time friend and business associate at the Clinton Foundation. The emails sent by Mr. Blumenthal to Secretary Clinton were NOT acted on my her alone. She sent any of the information Mr. Blumenthal volunteered to her assistant and others to consider the information, validate and include as a knowledge base for the Libya post invasion.

"What Sidney Blumenthal's Memos to Hillary Clinton Said, and How They Were Handled." (click here)

This is all old news. There is nothing new here and the exploitation of the email content DOES NOT RELAY THE ENTIRE PICTURE. Hillary Clinton did not act on the information provided by Mr. Blumenthal. She considered it intelligence and passed it on. None of the communication between Mr. Blumenthal were deemed inappropriate or exclusive to a conversation that SPECIFICALLY provides "Quid pro quo."

I demand the Benghazi Committee to be dissolved !!! There is nothing new here! It has no relevance to USA policy.

This is from "Military Times" about yesterday. There is little information about today.

The UN Security Council MUST convene given the missiles today landed in Iran, not Syria..

Russia's move Wednesday (click here) to hit Syrian targets from more than 1,000 miles away using ship-based, long-range cruise missiles from the Caspian Sea was a dramatic display of military power designed to taunt the U.S., experts say.
"This was specifically done to show bravado ... it's chest thumping," said Christopher Harmer, a retired Navy officer and senior naval analyst at the Institute for the Study of War in Washington.
The Russians announced 26 missile strikes on Syrian rebels using a first-of-its-kind act of power projection, firing ship-based supersonic "Klub" missiles, roughly similar to American-made Tomahawk missiles and sometimes referred to as "carrier killers."
The Russians easily could have hit the same targets with the dozens of warplanes forward-deployed at their Latakia air base in Syria....

There are several variants of the Klub, including the India-Russia varient. They are anti-ship missiles.

The point 1000 miles allows these missiles to reach maximum speed for the impact that results.

This method Russia has taken is very expensive. Each missile is upwards of a million US. That doesn't necessarily apply to a communist country, but, they are suppose to be extremely accurate and still expensive.

I am not sure if the Russian missiles into Iran was a mistake. Are there advances by Daesh or otherwise in Iran?

The USA is in trouble. The US House is in turmoil.

There should not be this level of confusion in regard to who follows the resignation of the Speaker. We are talking the third person in line for President.

At least John Boehner will postpone his resignation. This EPISODE of the crisis in leadership in the Republican Party should have taught the Republican extremists a direly needed lesson. Speaker Boehner should realize he now has a free hand to resolve disagreements about legislation going forward. If that was his thought from the beginning, then well done.

The Republican's culled their incumbents. This is the result. The USA has an incompetent House. There are more investigations with absolutely no resolve and repeating votes over and over is a crisis.

The members in line for the Speakership are not qualified to be in those positions. All the Republican leadership need to resign and allow new members take their place after the vote is finalized. But, I mean from the ground up in the House.

October 8, 2015

...McCarthy,(click hear) the majority leader who's favored to become the next speaker of the House, has energetically nurtured GOP legislators in the House since he was elected to Congress nine years ago. He recruited many of the young conservatives who helped the Republicans retake control of the House in the 2010 elections. They owe him a lot.

All of which instantly made McCarthy the odds-on favorite to succeed John Boehner, who decided to step down as a revolt rumbled on the party's right.
But all of which will count for not much if McCarthy can't find a way to balance the competing demands in the Republican-controlled House. Restive conservatives are seeking a more aggressive stance against President Barack Obama, while others feel a pragmatic need for compromise to get things done in the era of oh-so-divided government....

There are still problems caused by Hurricane Joaquin. The hurricane also crossed the Atlantic and nears Spain.

Under mounting pressure from seniors and labor groups, (click here) congressional leaders and the Obama administration are rushing to find a way to avert a huge Medicare premium increase of 50 percent or more for nearly a third of the 50 million elderly Americans who are reliant on Medicare for their physician care and other health services.

House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH), House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and White House officials have been scrambling behind the scenes to spare millions of seniors the expense of huge Medicare Part B premium hikes. While the problem pales in comparison to the larger budget issues, including highway spending and debt ceiling challenges, lawmakers are super sensitive to the concerns of seniors heading into the crucial 2016 election year....

The cost of Medicare B is $104 PER MONTH. Many Americans don't realize that. Add to that Medicare supplements or Medicare Advantage costing over $100 per month. So our elderly are paying over $200 per month for their medical insurance ALREADY. That is more than $2400 per year in addition to any deductibles.

An increase in Part B would add $52.00 per month OR MORE to our seniors health care costs. It is inadvisable to drop Part B. So, Seniors are trapped now with higher health care costs. It may very well prove to increase the number of seniors applying for Medicaid. There is no real benefit for the USA by charging more money to Part B.

...Some 70 national organizations, including AARP, labor groups and health insurance company trade associations, sent a letter to Republican and Democratic congressional leaders last week urging prompt action to block or mitigate the looming premium increases. “Older adults and people with disabilities cannot shoulder these unprecedented increases,” Joe Baker, president of the Medicare Rights Center, told The New York Times....

Insurance companies will lose members. I find it interesting.this announcement comes immediately before open enrollment.

Every year, Medicare’s open enrollment period is October 15 - December 7. (click here)

One other thing, if Seniors are forced to pay more for Part B, they will drop their supplements and hospitals will lose income and Seniors may think twice before seeking medical attention.

What does this mean?

In tweets praising Republican candidate Ben Carson, Mr Murdoch wrote: "Ben and Candy Carson terrific. What about a real black President who can properly address the racial divide?"

President Obama's net worth is estimated to be $7 million and Mr. Carson is worth $30 million. Is that what that means? Because Black America is not wealthy. And 2008 cemented that reality.

...In total, (click here) there are just about 120 million American households. So when we talk about the top one percent, we are looking at the top 1.2 million households. Breaking the 120 million homes down by race, according to the U.S. Census, there are nearly 83 million white households, and there are just about 14 million black households.
Here is where the economic picture gets clearer. A few years ago when economic inequality was just becoming a national topic, theGrio supported by MSNBC, wrote a piece titled "Who are the Black 1%". In this article, they showed that nearly 96.1 percent of the 1.2 million households in the top one percent by income were white, a total of about 1,150,000 households. In addition, these families were found to have a median net asset worth of $8.3 million dollars....

What facts support a very abstract statement by Mr. Murdoch?

Does Mr. Murdoch mean President Obama was contaminated by his Caucasian mother and her family? That is racism.

If there is sincere definitions making Mr. Carson a real minority it should be told. Facts, now political slogans.

There are real issues. Answers would be REAL GOOD.
TPP - Where is the document? (click here)

I've click ten different articles in the NYTimes and there is no document.

I can't find it on Wikipedia.

It isn't at the Office of the United States Trade Representative (click here)

I am a little tired of being told what to think. I want to think for myself and the TPP is nowhere reasonable for me to read.

Bernie has a PDF about his thinking about the lousy thing. (click here) It is not the document.

Okay, I give up and I think President Obama needs to spend "2 minutes of truth about the TPP." In that two minutes he should show people where to find the lousy document.

Right now there is no reason to believe all the propaganda and the TPP is nothing but economic engineering that takes "Free Enterprise" away from the American people and it's vital and vibrant local economies.

NO TPP !

End of discussion.
