President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden (click here) received a warm welcome Saturday morning when they arrived at the Port of Wilmington to commemorate the commissioning of the USS Delaware, a fast-attack submarine that was sponsored by the first lady to "uphold the First State’s motto of liberty and independence."

Military personnel, veterans and their friends and families were joined by members of the community for a long-awaited redo of the original ceremony in 2020, which was postponed due to the pandemic. A version of the commissioning took place underwater instead, making the USS Delaware the first boat to do so in the history of the Navy.

"Today's celebration, like so many things in the past few years, is just a bit out of the ordinary," Jill Biden said....

Russia appears to be using anti-personnel mines in Ukraine (click here) that are equipped with artificial intelligence that is claimed to be able to distinguish between soldiers and civilians. While the mines supposedly comply with international law, experts doubt whether they are any less dangerous to civilians.

Human Rights Watch, a New York-based non-governmental organisation, reported the identification of POM-3 mines near Kharkiv, Ukraine, on 29 March. Separately, unverified video seems to show a Russian Zemledeliye truck launching mine-laying rockets.…

I do not believe for one minute artificial intelligence can determine whether a person striking the mine is a soldier or a civilian. That is something no civilian should have to trust. Laying landmines is a prevention of movement of people that have to leave Ukraine to survive the Russian killing spree. These landmine cannot detect the difference between a car with many people leaving Ukriane from a military vehicle. Don't believe a word of it.

Landmine detection is often an inexact and inefficient process, (click here) and that’s a problem that the ICRC is trying to solve. Doing so involves some surprisingly affordable off-the-shelf technology, a Danish geologist, a Japanese university, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and a range of diverse field experience.

Landmines can be a deadly and costly obstacle to humanitarian access in conflict zones, a single explosive device containing the potential not just to maim or kill an individual but to block the delivery of food or medicine to an entire population. That’s why locating mines is “a very relevant competence, very much tied to operations,” explains Erik Tollefsen, a former bomb disposal officer and the head of the ICRC’s Weapon Contamination Unit (WEC).

Thermal imaging cameras that can detect different heat signatures between an object and its surroundings have been around for years, but only recently have they dropped in price and shrunk to the size of a palm-held GoPro. That miniaturization of price and product has opened up new possibilities...

There are two types of suicide bombers, one that wants it and ends his life and the ones that are half-hearted and want to live. For the ones that want to die to collect on promised virgins there is no disarming them even if caught and cornered. If captured, while still plugged into the explosives, they will detonate at first opportunity when larger group of people have gathered. These guys will not disrobe and lay the explosives down for a robot to collect later.

With either of the two types there needs to be sufficient distance to allow for the explosive crater regardless of their cooperation. There is no way to know if the bomber was rigged with a fail safe system that will insure explosion no matter what he OR she does. Both must be shot if they come close to soldiers in a panic. I mean they can run, so they have to be dropped where they stand if they try to advance to close the safe distance. Whether they are alive or not after disabled to move requires a robot to then disarm and remove the explosive to be safely detonated. 

The bomber that wants to surrender must be held at a safe distance. He or she must completely disrobe and be free of any detonation potential. I don’t know of a suicide bomber that has an internal explosive. I would think most body processes with biochemistry would end that potential.

But, this life saving protocol is necessary. The only one willing to die in that moment is the bomber. 

This level of thinking requires training because it is counter intuitive of most soldiers disarming their enemy. It is why cities have bomb squads.

Trenches at Chernobyl.

Why were the Russians digging trenches at Chernobyl? That sounds like an activity that Deash would use. They would line people up after they dug trenches and kill them to fall into the trench. Mass graves. If the Russians are taking lessons from Daesh, that would explain the genocide. Syrian soldiers of fortune are supposed to have been recruited by Russia to kill Ukrainians. What is next Iranian boats and Quds Force? Then what, Hezbollah?

Russia is turning Ukraine into a killing field of all that threaten NATO.

The refugee migration needs to continue with vigor.

The recruits Putin is recruiting through his wealthy oligarchs have no moral content except Jihad. The Ukrainian military is looking at suicide bombers and the immoral killers of mass murder. Putin has lost his moral base. It would explain his shift in character. Mass murder and genocide is now his ideology. His character shift would appear to be in line with Assad.

Putin has ordered the conscription of 150,000 more Russians. Regardless of what he explains to the population of Russia, those conscripts will find the same fate of those already dead and disabled in Ukraine. Jihadists have little to no training when they carry out their tasks.

Israel’s methods of national defense and security is Ukraine’s best model. Israel has an Air Force that operates in areas 9 miles wide. To refuse Ukraine an Air Force will handicap them and provide for a greater genocide. Give Ukraine what it needs. This is not conventional warfare anymore.

As a cautionary reality to that the Russians have been shooting down their own jets.

The currency demands by Putin is an attempt to turn the ruble into the global currency and replace the USA dollar. He is banking on his petroleum being of highest demand to turn Russia’s fortune around. The same has been the case of the Chinese communists and their dual monetary system. The capitalists in the world are always tempted by the next best merchandise of wealth. Globalization is a national security issue. It’s the return of the Cold War. The tech industry assaults that paradigm.

The communists aren’t going to give up their ideology. This is a long term issue and quite frankly a permanent one. It would be beneficial if the communists saw the futility in their priorities. Russians fail completely without Trump in power. Their demonstration in Ukraine would dictate such Trumpian information is highly futile. The Chinese are mimics and without their spies they won’t succeed either. Maybe the communists would like democracy but are really lousy at it. New constitutions and all. Peaceful prosperity is not on the minds fostered by Lenin. 

Russia is destined to end via their own radiation poisoning. Somehow that makes Ukraine a valuable land asset, except, for the same stupid practices witnessed at Chernobyl. 

This is Putin’s Russia. He is handing out medals like candy these days.

The Chernobyl trenches aren’t supposed to be a mimic of Yucca Mountain, is it?
